SolMan 4.0 Installation - wrong password for SID OFR

Hello all,
i get stuck in the phase 2 of SolMan Installation.
The log states:
"CJS-20004  Invalid password.<br>DIAGNOSIS: The password you specified for user 'S01OFR' is wrong.<br>SOLUTION: Enter the correct password."
S01OFR has been created on the i5 and i can logon with default password SAPOFR.
Where is my mistake ?
I did not define a password for S01OFR in SAPINST process.
Can i change it somewhere to the default password ?
Kind regards,
Juergen Scheckelhoff.

Hi Jürgen,
this sounds like a problem with the user creation and password change.
SAPinst checks whether the users are existing or not before it creates new users and changes the passwords to the masterpassword. If there are already users with the password SAPOFR these users will not changed anymore. (The step of the user creation can not successfully repeated by SAPinst.)
My suggestion would be to restart the installation from scratch. (Without a deeper look into the installation directory I'm unsure what aready is created by the installation.) To delete your current installation just use DLTR3SYS (and if necessary DLTR3INST). Make also sure that you have stopped the TMKSVR beforehand and that you are not logged in as S01OFR anymore.
Before you start to install again the system S01 please check if there are still remaining: WRKOBJ S01*
Am I right when I think that your iSeries users cannot have longer passwords than 8 because of your security level? For this as Volker suggested use another masterpassword with length 8.

    Hi All,
    I have installed Oracle 10g on Windows XP. I created a database called orcl1 using DBCA and set the sys and system user passwords as "oracle". My windows xp operating system password is set as username:Bobby and password :welcome4all.
    Yet at the startup/shutdown page in Enterprise Manager, when I enter HOST CREDENTIALS as username:Bobby,password :welcome4all
    and credentials for target database as username:sys,password :oracle, I get RemoteOperationException:ERROR: WRONG PASSWORD FOR USER .
    I don't understand why? Am I doing something wrong?
    Please Help!

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    Failure of the BBID credentials will never wipe a BB. What actually happened was you incorrectly entered your user-created device-lock password too many times, and it then proceeded with wiping the device, as per the requirements of the security level accepted when enabling that feature. There is no way to stop it.

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
  • I used the wrong password for my belkin wifi. Now that I know the correct password I can not get pass the unable to connect or join message. I have turned off all the options such as wifi and join and also put my touch to sleep.. but nothing seems to work
    I used the wrong password to join my new belkin wifi. Now that I have the correct password, I can not get the to the join screen with the space to type in the password. I continue to get the unable to join message.  I have put the touch to sleep and I have turned on and off the wifi and join options on the Network screen page.  Does anyone know how to get pass this block of the wrong password to a new page that will allow me to type in the correct password.  I see there is a option that asks if I want to reset the network settings.. is that what I should do? and what does it erase when I do that?  Thanks for any input anyone has.
    Yes.  Reset network settings. Head to Settings -> General -> Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.
  • Default password for SID adm
    The subject says it all - I am new to MaxDB, and did not install the application.
    We are trying to update some tables, and get permission errors.
    I have the SUPERDBA user, but that user does not have permissions on the <SID>ADM tables.
    Is there a default password for the <SID>ADM database user?
    I am probably missing something very easy here.
    SAP customer - yes - I am reviewing the documentation - it leaves a lot to be desired
    Here is the output you requested:
    dbmcli on GRD>sql_execute select * from users
    OK
    END
    'CONTROL';'';'CONTROL';'ADMIN';'MULTIPLE';(null);(null);(null);'DEFAULT';'20090218';'00160032';'20090218';'00160032';'20090218';'00160032';'GRD';'grc-app-dev01';0;'NO';(null)
    I'm not 100% sure what you are looking for on the second query, all I could get to work was this -
    select * from tables
    which gives a lot of output, here is some:
  • HT1595 Entered wrong password for Wifi and now Apple Tv (2nd) won't connect to wifi.
    I got a new router and entered the password for it.  I got it up and running before realising that I needed to change the password to my own personal one.  Now I dont know how to change it on the apple Tv.
    I've done all the normal things:  restarted router, restarted apple tv, etc.  Need some help.
    Hi,
    after changing the wep code on my router, I had trouble resetting the configuration on my appletv.  If you select your router from the available networks list, it uses the stored wep code, which of course no longer works.
    to specify a new one, while appletv is trying to connect to that router you need to quickly hit the menu button on your appletv remote.  You will then be prompted to enter a new wep code.
    hope this helps people with this problem in the future.
  • ERROR: Wrong password for user
    Oracle 10g version 10.2.0.1. RHEL 4. I was trying to setup a backup, but everytime I enter my User ID and Password it keeps telling me it's wrong.
    I have tried this with EVERY user ID I have, I have verified the Password by loging in via SSH, and still, it gives me that same error again and again.
    I'm sure I must have messed something up during the installation now, the question is, is there anyway to fix this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Is a proxy server between you and the internet (to access metalink for patching)?
    If yes you should add your hostname to the proxy exception list (dontProxyFor). In 10gR2 this can be done through GridControl or DBConsole (proxy settings) , but also manually:
    1. Open the file <GRID_HOME>/sysman/config/emoms.properties
    2. Modify the property dontProxyFor with adding the hostname
    dontProxyFor=<hostname>
    => replace <hostname> by the actual hostname.
    3. Restart the oms or dbconsole.
    Another complety different reason for this error could be accounts SYSMAN and/or DBSNMP are locked. These must be unlocked.
  • I put in the wrong password for an airprint device, so it's not connecting. how can I change it?
    On first connecting to an airprint device on a windows PC, the ipad asked for username and password. I fatfingered the password, and can't seem to find anywhere to delete the old connection or update the password.
    Thaks for the suggestion, but the router connection's not the problem. The issue is that the iPad remembers the printer password. I set it to allow guests with no password on the PC, but there doesn't seem to be any way to get the iPad to forget the password I first put in. My next step is to try a new printer name on the PC.
