Solution to mapping a file with diferent content

Hi all,
I have the next scenario:
Source: XML file in a FTP server (this file have an unique name and can be diferent content, all contents are IDOC in XML format, for example ORDERS, INVOIC,...)
Mapping: only transfer the XML IDOC to a R/3 system (always the same system).
Destination: Create the correnponding IDOC in a R/3 system
I have a solution that is in a first interface read the file and with an ABAPCLASS rename the file according the IDOC included in the file. And a second one read the file and do the mapping to the IDOC structure.
But I need a solution that don't create files, I need an interface without delays for the polling. Could somebody give me ideas?

if you are looking at converting an IDOC XML file to IDoc then refer - http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/46759682-0401-0010-1791-bd1972bc0b8a&overridelayout=true

    Hi SapAll.
    i have got a a requirement where pi need to create 3 different files with same content but with different names under same target from a single Idoc.
    its an IDOC to 3 File Inteface.
    can any body help me in providing the differnt solutions for this without use of any script executions.
    will be waiitng for response.
    regards.

    > i want to use only one communication channel to produce 3 different file names with same content ,so here i should use only one message mapping in 3 operation mappings .
    This is not possible to produce 3 different file names with single CC. You have to use 3 different CCs. unless you have going to use some other trick e.g some script to rename the file etc..
    As I suggested in my previous reply use Multi-Mapping Or create 3 different Interface Mappings (by using the same MM).
    Note: You have to create 3 different Inbound Message Interfaces (you can use the same Inbound Message Type) otherwise while creating the 3 Interface Determination it won't allow because of same Outbound & Inbound Message Interface. It will simply say Interface alreday exists..
    So, just use the Multi-Mapping which is best solution in my opinion, because the benefit of using multi-mapping are:
    1. You have to create only single Message Mapping
    2. Single Interface Mapping
    3. Single Receiver Determination
    4. Single Interface Determination
    5. 3 Receiver CCs (3 you have to use in any case)
    6. Performance wise it is good (read the blog's last 2 para)
    7. And last but not the least easy to maintain the scenario.

  • Upload files with international content

    I want to upload files with international content(many languages), from
    a single JSP. Any ideas?
    thanks,
    M.

    Hi Marco,
    I dont know transaction CV02N. But if this application uses standard function modules like GUI_UPLOAD it should work with ITS. A special configuration should not be required as long as the files have a size up to 5 MB. If they are larger it might be required to adjust the size of the request container MaxReqSize. Dont forget that Java has to be activated to let webgui access the filesystem.

  • Cannot print PCL file with graphical content

    If I try to print a PCL file with graphical content using lp then the output is corrupt on a network printer. I've tracked the problem down to the netpr program - which seems to be performing some sort of filtering on the data. Does anyone know how the flags work for netpr - or know of a work around?

    Assuming you are running 10.10.2 and not the ancient 10.0.2, can you tell us what printer and printer driver you are using? How is the printer connected to the computer (network, usb)? See if you can delete the Reader preference files? Years ago I resetting the printer subsystem would sometimes cure a problem like this.

  • To create multiple files with same content but with different names

    Hi SapAll.
    here i have got a tricky situation on Idoc to File Scenario.
    in my interface of an Idoc to file ,there  is requirement to create multiple files with different file names but with same content based on one Idoc Segment.
    which means there will be one Zsegment with two fields in the idoc,where one field with (content refers to the name which file name should start with .so lets say if this segment is repeated for 3 times then PI should create 3 files in the same directory with same content but with different file names (from the filed).
    so here for now iam using one reciever file communication channel.
    can any body give me the quick answer.
    regards.
    Varma

    What do you mean by different names?
    when i make proper setting in the Receiver Channel....on how to create the filename (what to append) like add Timestamp, counter, date, messageid.....even in this case you will ahve file with different names and that too from same File channel.
    You can perform multi-mapping in XI/ PI and then your File channel will place the files in the target folder with relevant names. You cannot use Dynamic Configuration with Multi-Mapping!
    If you intend to use different File channels, then do the configuration as required (normal)...even over here you can follow multi-mapping.
    Do not use a BPM!

    Abhishek.

  • Converting xml file with arabic content to pdf using FOP

    Hello all
    I am trying to convert a dynamically generated xml file in which most of the data comes from the oracle database with arabic content, to pdf using FOP. I have used "Windows-1256" encoding for the xml. If i open the xml generated with the internet explorer the arabic content displays properly but the pdf is not generated and the acrobat reader shows the file as corrupted or not supported. Please help me. Its very urgent.
    Thanks & Regards
    Gurpreet Singh

    There is no direct support for importing RTF from an XML extract. Perhaps feature 1514 "Mapping formatted XML data into multiline field" will be of some use. This was released in 11.0, I believe.
    Essentially you can establish paragraph and certain text formatting like bold and underline when you include the proper token information in the data. I believe this is similar to simple HTML tokens.
    Example: <FIELD><P>First paragraph of data.</P><P>New paragraph with <B><U>bold and underline text</U></B>. Rest of paragraph normal.</P></FIELD>
    The result is something like this:
    <P>First paragraph of data.</P><P>New paragraph with <B><U>bold and underline text</U></B>. Rest of paragraph normal.</P>

  • File adapter picking up files with wrong content

    Hello, We configured a file adapter to read *.xml files. We also defined the xsd for the files. We expected that the adapter would only pick up files that conform to the xsd. However we found that all *.xml files (even renamed jpeg's) are read. Is this intended behaviour? Or did we miss some configuration setting?
    Richard

    A short follow-up:
    To make matters worse. If I take a completely different file (like the jpeg) and rename it .xml it gets picked up by the file adpater but there is no audit trail of the BPEL process instance. The file is not archived either, so it's completely gone! If I just change one of the elements the file is read and archived. I can also have the file adapter write the file with the wrong content.
    I found a reference to a bug. (bug 5926809 or SR 6327165.994) is this related, is it solved?

  • JSP 2.x - Tag files with body-content="JSP"

    I've been looking at the JSP 2.1 draft and see that, as with the previous JSP release, it is not allowed for tag-files to have body-content="JSP". I've tried to find a good answer for that on the web, but there's no one who can enlighten me. I've tried to tweak the source of Apache Tomcat 6.0.13 (Validator.ValidateVisitor and TagFileProcessor.TagFileDirectiveVisitor, both in org.apache.jasper.compiler) to accept body-content="JSP" in tag files - with great success. It is possible to have scriptlets within tags from tag files and it works as expected.
    My reason for wanting scriptlets in the body-content of tags from tag files is that it would encourage a more contextual, nested (and in my eyes, a more beautiful) structure of JSP-pages, as opposed to the JSTL flat structure, where f.ex. the sql:query tag does not reside within a sql:setDataSource tag, but instead refers to the datasource through an EL-variable. I suppose that it has been constructed in this way only to make it possible for programmers to include scriptlets in-between sql:query tags that use the same datasource.
    Not that it is not possible to nest tag-file tags, but I suspect that many programmers then would like to keep a flat structure so as to maintain the possibility of inserting scriptlets where needed - outside any tag which is based on a tag-file.
    So, why is it not allowed for tag-files to have body-content="JSP"?

    Thanks for the reply, evnafets.
    I'm aware that scriptet-code is generally being discouraged, although I don't understand why. I think that having a standard tag-library is a wonderful idea, but in the case of JSTL, I'm not that pleased. It relies heavily on EL, which I see as an unnecessary abstraction.
    Let me give you an example. The JSTL does database-connections and queries in this way:
    <sql:setDataSource var="datasource" url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:TEMP" driver="oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver" user="scott" password="tiger" />
    <sql:query sql="SELECT * FROM EMP" dataSource="datasource" var="resultset" />This could also be accomplished without EL in a hierarchical structure:
    <sql:dataSource url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:TEMP" driver="oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver" user="scott" password="tiger">
      <sql:query sql="SELECT * FROM EMP">
        BodyContent <% perhapsWithScriptlets; %>
      </sql:query>
    </sql:dataSource>...using TagSupport.findAncestorWithClass for the query to reference the datasource which it is enclosed in. (in Tomcat, the class would be called dataSource_tag. BTW, why is this not standardised in JSP?)
    I would then also like to be able to use scriptlet-code inside the tags as I could if the tags were written as tag-classes, extending BodyTagSupport, and being defined in a formal, cumbersome TLD file.
    Why the difference in functionality between SimpleTagSupport and BodyTagSupport - or rather; why is it then not possible to specify that a tag-file should extend BodyTagSupport rather than SimpleTagSupport?

  • Converting an html file with jsp contents to a text file for download

    Hi guys,
    I'm currently having troubles with downloading a .jsp file to a doc file.
    The thing is i am able to download the desired file and make it as a .doc but when i open it with ms word 2007 i can only see the content of the html. The dynamic content generated from the database and reflected on the .jsp page that i suppose to download and convert to .doc file doesn't show.. I hope someone could help me... My servlet code is this:
    public class FileDownload extends HttpServlet
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException
    try
    String originalFileName="localhost:8080//Appsdev//reportresults1.jsp";
    File f=new File(originalFileName);
    System.out.println("THE 1st f:"+f);
              response.setContentType("application/octet-stream");
    response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=tryreport.doc;");
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control", "max-age=0");
    byte[] buf = new byte[1024];
    FileInputStream inStream = new FileInputStream(f);
    OutputStream outStream = response.getOutputStream();
    int sizeRead = 0;
    int size = 0;
    while ((sizeRead = inStream.read(buf, 0, buf.length)) != -1)
    outStream.write(buf, 0, sizeRead);
    size += sizeRead;
    inStream.close();
    outStream.close();

    Hi BalusC,
    sorry for the double post i'm newly registered and it's my first post before i was just reading other's threads.
    well last night while i was reading and researching for a solution a came across this.
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="application/msword"%> naturally for my other jsp pages, the contentType is text/html so when the page loads it display in the browser. But with application/msword when i direct the page to the jsp page that i want to download and set the contentType with that...it prompts a window like when you're downloading the one with the <open with and save as>. It works fine to, i was able to see the report that i have to download and it is formatted very much like what i am seeing on the browser. My only concern now is the file i am able to download is a .jsp file how could i change that to a .doc file and be able to see the same content like the one with the .jsp file that i have right now.... any help or examples would be greatly appreciated. I didn't use the servlet anymore because even though i am able to download there is no content the html parts only but iam able to change the extension for the file...thanks again! ^ ^

    Hi Grace,
    The free app MPEG Streamclip may be able to convert the file to a more suitable format. It can be downloaded from the developer's site here:
    http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
    Here's a User Tip by AppleMan1958 that provides some more information about MPEG Streamclip (it's about importing homemade DVDs, but similar principles apply):

  • Performance, minimum bandwidth, thumbnail previews for PDF and InDesign Files with web content viewer

    Hi,
    We are considering using DPS with a web content viewer for large PDFs and/or InDesign files. The client using a web viewer might have very limited bandwidth (some as low as 256Kbps). We ask:
    1 - How well does the web viewer perform with very large PDFs and InDesign files  (500 MB+) with limited bandwidth? Does the file stream in chunks and the PDF shows as soon as the first page or two are available, with the rest loading in the background, or does the entire file come down in one part and then shown?
    2 - Can PDF and InDesign files support thumbnail previews? For example, one image per PDF page and user can scroll forward and back.
    Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    -Stephen

    Hi Stephen,
    The way the web viewer works is that it converts the PDF/InDesign files to PNGs along with additional HTML assets. Assets are downloaded as they’re ready for a given page (e.g. first, page 1 is filled with its assets as they become available, then page 2, etc), so a reader wouldn’t need to wait for the entire article to load. The next few pages are also loaded in the background, so the reader wouldn’t be likely to notice lag as they flipped through pages to the next page after reading the current one. So the lag will depend on the size of an individual page.
    For your question around thumbnails, the web viewer does not load a preview image so the reader would need to wait for the assets I described above to load.
    Hope this helps...

  • .css and .js file with dynamic content

    Hi all !
    I would need to move all my javascript and css code from the JSP to separate files and then just include them to the page.
    This is of course just standard html code so no probs. there. The little twist is though that both the stylesheet and javascript content should be a bit different depending on the request parameters from the user.
    For example the css contains a few images that would need to be used and the paths and names of these images are defined by a custom taglibrary.
    The questions would then be: What is the preferred strategy to handle this? Is there a way to actually change the content of those files dynamically or is it just better to leave the dynamic parts on the page.
    Of course I can always create a separate servlet that generates them on the fly but that is not the way I would like to go...

    if you include your css like
    <LINK HREF=\"/application/css.jsp\" REL=\"stylesheet\" TYPE=\"text/css\">");
    then make sure your jsp has <%@ page contentType="text/css" %> set and you can make that css.jsp be dynamic and give you the css you need.
    SAme applies to javascript with <%@ page contentType="application/x-javascript" %>

  • How can i map a file with different structures to several deep structures?

    Hey experts,
    here is my situation. I have to build a file2file scenario. The file has a flat structure without any separators. Depending on the value of the keyfield, i have to determinate, which kind of structure in the current sequence there is. Like i wrote, there isn't any fieldseparator, but for every possible structure (overall 4 types) i know the type by the length of every field in the structure.
    My task is:
    1. Read the file into PI and transform to XML
    2. Map the flat structure depending on the keyvalue to the deep structure
    3. Transform several fields in the different structures like the requirement
    4. Write back the file via FTP as the same flat structure as before
    Do you have any approach to solve the item number 2 (the other steps are clear for me)?
    Do i need several mapping-programs? If so, how can i determinate the right mapping-program, deping on the keyvalue?
    Thanks in advance
    Tobi
