Solve Runtime errors 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER'
When I test a subroutine that included in SAPScript,a runtime error occured.Below is the error message.
Unable to interpret " XXXX.XX " as a number.
Error Analysis:
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER', was not
caught in
procedure "SUB_DETAILS" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause. Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated. The reason for the exception is:
The program attempted to interpret the value " XXXX.XX " as a number, but
since the value contravenes the rules for correct number formats,
this was not possible.
DATA: GV_AMOUNT TYPE KWBTR.
READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY NAME = 'FEBSCA-KWBTR'.
PACK IN_PAR-VALUE TO GV_AMOUNT.
>>>>> GV_AMOUNT = IN_PAR-VALUE.
How can i solve this ? Big help needed. Appreciated. Thanks,
Shehryar
Hi shehryar,
if you do a test output in SAPscript forms development in SE71, output fields are filled with X characters regardless if they are numeric.
If you call a subroutine in SAPScript, the values are passed and the CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER is raised.
In your subroutine you should be aware that all Sapscript symbols are character-like data and must be converted to numeric representation.
Try to integrate this subroutine (derived from Padmam's contribution yesterday):
*& Form conv
* Try conversion to numeric value
FORM conv USING pv_clike TYPE c
CHANGING pv_number
pv_error TYPE sy-subrc.
TRY.
CLEAR pv_error.
pv_number = pv_clike. "Convert string to number.
CATCH cx_sy_conversion_no_number.
pv_error = 1.
CATCH cx_sy_conversion_overflow.
pv_error = 2.
ENDTRY.
ENDFORM. " conv
Now you can test your form as well as use it.
Regards,
Clemens

How do I solve Runtime error R6034?
First of all Minefield has not crashed and exited from this, it only becomes unresponsive and not every time the error occurs.
It consistently happens at program start. As before, at times you can acknowledge the error message and then continue running the program.
When Minefield freezes, you can call Task Manager and kill the process, Minefield closes immediately.
Researching this problem on the web, I have done the following:
Viral or malware suspects:
I have Avast Antivirus, Threatfire and PC Tools Firewall Plus running in real-time shield modes. I have run deep scans both in normal boot and safemode. Avast did detect a trojan in a system volume folder named "A00???.exe" one time and was quarantined.
Registry suspects:
I have used Advanced System Care, Comodo System Cleaner and IO Bit Toolbox to scan, fix and defrag the registry both in normal boot and safemode.
C Runtime Library path suspects:
I have reinstalled 2008 and 2010 C runtime libraries.
Corrupted Minefield installation suspects:
I have uninstalled Minefield using Revo Uninstaller several times. I have downloaded nightly builds and both upgraded and fresh installed numerous times.
VLC Media Player Plug-in suspects:
I do have VLC Media player installed but did not install the Firefox plug-in and it does not show in the plug-ins list.
Windows Media Player Plug-in suspects:
I do have WMP installed. The plug-in is listed. I have downloaded and installed the WMP plug-in fix as well as reinstalled WMP v11.
I like to use and collect many different browser versions. Firefox v3.6.13 is installed, works great and is my primary browser. Of those browsers, I use several Firefox variants. Lunascape is the only such browser that reproduces the error when using the Gecko Engine. Here I list the Firefox variants as screenshot links in my Google Docs:
[https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B6tbAc8TqgJXNmI5NzlhNjUtZjlkMy00MjJiLWEzZDEtNTc1MWUyOTYyM2Zi&sort=name&layout=list&pid=0B6tbAc8TqgJXYTllNTBiZGUtZTE3YS00MjY2LThmOWUtM2E0ZWU4M2NmODlm&cindex=13 Minefield Program Start]

The error message will reoccur while running Minefield when you call on page info, history, bookmark manager, error console (see screenshots by label). Interesting side note is that Minefield v4.0b11pre Portable has the same plug-ins but does not produce the error message!I have a text dump from about:plugins below, no VLC reference noted. I have a directory dump of the Minefield folder below, interesting there is no plugin folder (but firefox v3.6.13 does). I have tried restarting Minefield with addons disabled and in safemode. I have tried starting Minefield using other profiles, one's that v3.6.13 and the firefox variants use. I tried disabling all plugins and restarting. Hmmm more research....

New Help with solving runtime errors
HI.
I am from a Microsoft world and I am so used to hitting F1 and using MSDN. I am also a bit of an Oracle developer too. hence my entery into java.
Now, I have started Java I was wondering where I should start to look with this error message:
ExampleApplet.java:41: NX actual.OpenlookButton B
OpenlookButton button3 = new OpenlookButton("Java is Cool!");
Line 41 in ExampleApplet.java is:
OpenlookButton button3 = new OpenlookButton("Java is Cool!");
The OpenlookButton.class is in the same folder as this class. How do I debug into this and find whats going wrong?
I tried the jdb utility yet it said it couldn't find the class file?
Help. You guys know what its like when you're starting out right?
Thanks
ps I'm using Windows 2000,
java version "1.2.2"
Classic VM (build JDK-1.2.2_005, native threads, symcjit)
DOS and notepad. YEEEHAAA!!!!Hi,
Firstly, why are you using such an old version of Java? Now there is a 1.4 version and you are still using a 1.2 version... I would suggest upgrading unless there is a concrete reason for staying with the old jdk (e.g. you are writing Java within some other system such as Lotus Notes).
I have never seen such a strange error message, it looks like there is something wrong with your character encoding with those strange outputs. Is your system using English or another language? Maybe it is just appearing snafu'd on this forum somehow...?
As far as the line of code you have supplied there is nothing wrong with it that I can see, assuming you have defined the class "OpenlookButton" which you say you have done.
(Upgrading to Java 2 would allow you to use Swing components, which allow a pluggable look-and-feel. Then you can use the JButton class - and any other JComponents - and the user or your application code can set the LookAndFeel to any that is available, including CDE/Open/Motif, thereby eliminating the need to define separate classes for components with different appearances...)
Is the current directory "." (thats a dot on its own) in the classpath? It needs to be otherwise the JVM won't look there to find the classes. Seems strange but when you think about it, it does make sense.
Also the error output lists the OpenlookButton class as being in the "actual" package but you say it is in the same path as the ExampleApplet. Try moving it into a subdirectory named "actual" and try again.
Good luck...
Ben
P.S. There is nothing wrong with a command prompt and notepad! Imho it is much better than using a crappy IDE which formats your code all wrong and leaves you clueless as to what is really going on....
P.P.S. For next time, the more details you post, including source code, the easier it is to help. -
After my pc system updated. I cannot open itune properly. Then I try to remove and re-install it again.

Runtime error while creating variables? ( ple solve me asap)
hi friends,
whilw working with 3.x reporting, i created variable, now i am moving that variable from left to right paneli am getting run time error.
how can i solve ?
regards
suneel.hi suneel,
Do you see any more details via ST22
if It shows 0 runtime errors against ur id, then you have to install note 950992
Are you having this issue in the BEx Analyzer as well or just when using the new 2004s runtime?
What about using the BW 3.x web analyzer? Does it happen there?

I just recently did an itunes update on my Windows Vista 64 and have been getting a runtime C++ R0634 error ever since. Per microsoft forum discussions, I have removed everything apple on my computer to get this runtime error to stop. When I tried to remove and reinstall itunes, I get an error message during installation and to try again. Has just become a cycle. Apple, are you working on this?
I have exactly the same problem. Got update notice from Apple for iTunes and getting the C++ runtime error R0634 ever since. I have no clue how to fix it....meantime, I can't even pull up Outlook to check email. HELP!!

How to solve dreaded Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime error?
Hi,
This is my first post. Grrrrr!
I recently installed 2.5 after having 2.4 and 2.3 and everything has been running along great...until tonight.
When I tried to open 2.5 I get the following message:
"Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime library
Program C :/ prog
This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. please contact the application's support team for more info"
I have checked out on line for a work around but there doesn't seem anything that makes clear sense....ie looking for a state-.dat file that doesn't seem to exist in my computer (PC vista xp).
I have also seen that holding down the cntrl button when opening Lightroom can overcome the problem, which it does, at least up until it asks me to create a new directory, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do to create a new directory.
Another thing, I notice that in my program files that I have both 2.4 and 2.5...I don't know if that's behind the conflict.
Many thanks,
AdrianI think you will find that the older LR folder is almost empty and so you'd have to reinstall 2.4 to get it running again and that wouldn't be the first thing to try.
A message about C++ Runtime error really doesn't indicate a particular problem but there are several possibilities:
1) Hard disk error or corruption where running a ScanDisk or ChkDsk or whatever it is called nowadays might help fix the problem.
2) Corrupt program files. Reinstalling might fix that.
3) A corrupt catalog, where holding down Ctrl (or Alt) when starting up LR will allow you to create a new catalog or at least open a different one, which might work, and get you past the error. Then you'd need to go to a backup catalog and redo all your work since then, where if you've been writing changes to XMP files, it would be a lot easier.
4) A corrupt preferences file. Navigate to C:\Users\[yourusername]Steve\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences and at least rename the whatever.agprefs file to whatever.agprefsX or something and then restart LR and see if things work differently.
5) An errant plug-in you've recently installed.
Item 4 might be the easiest to try and be the easiest to recover from, where all you'd need to do is re-adjust your settings, again, I think.
Item 3, a corrupt catalog, is also easy to test for, but recovery is more difficult. -

I recently came to the conclusion that it has something to do with me upgrading my IDE(jGRASP) and Java language.
Now, since thats the case how do i resolve this error. That BUGGING the heck out of me!
Thanks and Peace!Hi,
Check which JRE/JDK is used by your jGRASP.Then set the path environment variables according to that.
I'm afraid you have multiple jre/jdk in your system and one of that has problem with native libraries.
Best of luck!! -

Runtime Errors CONVT_NO_NUMBER
Exception CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER
Occurred on 09/29/2005 at 14:33:21
Unable to interpret "04:" as a number.
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "ZVXR0303" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception will be dealt with in more detail
below. The exception, assigned to the class 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER', was
not caught, which
led to a runtime error. The reason for this exception is:
The program attempted to interpret the value "04:" as a number, but
since the value contravenes the rules for correct number formats,
this was not possible.
How to correct the error
Integers are represented in ABAP using a sequence of digits and, in some
cases, a preceding sign.
The system offers the following options for displaying floating point
numbers:
[mantissa]E[sign][exponent]
[whole number part].[fractional part]
e.g. -12E+34, +12E-34, 12E34, 12.34
If the error occurred in one of your own programs or in an SAP program
that you modified, try to correct it yourself.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"CONVT_NO_NUMBER" CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBERC
"ZVXR0303" or "ZVXR0303"
"START-OF-SELECTION"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
following documents to SAP:
1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
part.
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

Runtime error while executing transaction BDLS
Hello,
While executing BDLS transaction for converting logical system names I am getting following error
Runtime Errors CONVT_NO_NUMBER
Except. CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER
Short text
Unable to interpret "7,160 " as a number.
How to resolve the above problem?Hi Rachel,
BDLS creates an ABAP program SBDLS* which includes all the tables possibly including logical system names as of the domain behind the table fields. This program firstly
lives in runtime only and is checked by syntax checker.
Now, sometimes tables have inconsistencies associated with them and you
will get this dump when a syntax check is performed on them.
So please check this and regenerate the culprit tables.
So please redo the steps for BDLS and check. There are
probably some tables which could be determined by you (syntax
check - in case program has already been saved only)
An easy way to check this is to run RBDLS2LS program (old BDLS) and
afterwards performing a syntax check on generated RBDLS*** (RBDLS<(>
<<)>(>
<<(><<)>)>ClientName>) program.
Known tables which caused such dumps in the past are:
DFKKCOLFILE_P_W
DFKKKO
DFKKMKO
DFKKREP06
DFKKREP06_S
DFKKREP07
DFKKREV06
DFKKREV07
Simply reactivate the tables you find out in SE11.
Another thing which has lead to this dump in the past is
in your R/3-System the value ' x ' is
additionally added to the value of your current release in the basis
release table SVERS.
The table RSBASIDOC takes the release value from the table SVERS.
If you change value 'x' to your release in both tables (SVERS and
RSBASIDOC) and
and activate again your source system connection. This could solve the
dump too.
I hope, this helps-if not, pls open a message with SAP.(component: BC-MID-ALE)

WHILE DELETING A SALE ORDER GETTING A RUNTIME ERROR " Screen: Illegal message"
Hi Experts,
While deleting a sales order giving run time error. PFB runtime error details.
If you know any OSS message, please let m know. I tried, but there is no luck.
Short text
Screen: Illegal message
What happened?
The current screen processing action was terminated since a situation
occurred where the application could not continue.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program or in the current
screen.
What can you do?
Note which actions and input led to the error.
For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator.
You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage
termination messages, in particular for long term reference.
Error analysis
The program attempted to issue a " " message during "Exit Command" processing.
This is an illegal operation.
The program was terminated.
Screen name.............. "SAPMV45A"
Screen number............ 4001
How to correct the error
The program must be modified to correct the error.
The modification must be made in "Exit Command" processing.
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".

Could you please help on this issue.
Thanks
SrinuHi Srinu,
it looks like you got the error message Schedule line &1 &2 is missing in table YVBEP while deleting the sales order.
It seems, that there are no SAP notes regarding this issue. Do you have this issue with all orders or with a single order?
If only a single order causes this issue, maybe something was wrong during an update.
If you get this error for many orders, then custom code (modification, enhancement, user exit in MV45AFZZ, ...) may be the reason for it.
If you have no custom code in module pool SAPMV45A, then contact SAP for this issue.

Any help ?
ThanksHello Jego.
We faced the same issue after upgrade to EHP1 SP07 last week and managed to solve it by modification of layout.jsp and com.sap.nw.wpc.layoutmanager.LayoutBean within com.sap.nw.wpc.designtime.par. SAP's code requires an additional catch handler, so it is better to rise an OSS message.
As a workaround you may change a default layout for wpc main page (good for new pages) or manually edit output.xml for existing pages.

I need to enhance the extractor 0WBS_ELEMT_ATTR with an additional field. The field is a Z field from the table PRPS.
Now PRPS is a base table for the extractor for this extractor, so simply adding this field into the append structure should suffice.
However, when I do this the extractor gives the following runtime error:
Syntax error in program "SAPLPSBW "
Component called ZZSO already exists.
The error is in the function call "e_fname".
I have found that the same Z field is used in another structure CNCI_PRPS. Could this be leading to the error?
Please let me know if any of you have any insights as to why this problem might be occurring.
TIA,
AmritaHi,
In my case the problem was caused because the same ZZ Field was used in two structures.
One for ECC and one for BI. This was causing some interference.
To solve this I changed the field name in my extract structure to ZZZSO and populated it via a CMOD routine.
Hope this helps.

Runtime Error in comment area??
My situation is not obvious to me but I can't figure it out.
I'm getting a runtime error in line 2 for syntax BUT in line 2 is just a comment block.
The runtime error pops up in eclipse but not in netbeans.
Any clues anyone?
[SOLVED] JavaScript was the issue.

Runtime error in OLE_FLUSH_CALL
Hi experts,
I am getting a runtime error in FM 'OLE_FLUSH_CALL' DESTINATION 'SAPGUI'
the short dump is having description method_call_error, I am on GUI version 7.1 with patch 22.
Ther error strangly coming only for production system test & development systems are fine.
Please let me know how to solve this.
Regards,
RahulOLE_FLUSH_CALL is a very generic error in communication betwen frontend and backend. So got to analyse the dump in more details. However, try with latest sapgui patch if you can reproduce this on demand.

Vincent
