[Solved] Create wine launcher with thunar
I would love some help with the following problem.
I would like to create a desktop launcher for a wine application, which I can open from the CLI or via browsing to the folder in thunar. However when I try to create the launcher on the desktop, using the same path I would in the CLI, nothing happens. I am not sure if the command needs to be different and somehow wine needs to be specified to "open with" even though that file association is set already, or if this needs to be done via a script (I tried this, but I really have no scripting skills--my terminal skills are minimal at best).

As you see, if you use the "" you dont have to escape such stuff cause the BASH keeps it as a string and not as a path and just gives the string to the application.

[SOLVED]Mounting usb drives "not authorized" with thunar-volman (XFCE)
Hi,
I'm new to Arch (even though I must be approximately at my 15th try at installing it properly) and I have a problem with thunar-volman.
Whenever I log in as user, and try to mount a usb drive with thunar, let's say I want to plug a drive labeled Ext3_8Go, I get the same message in a pop-up window : "Failed to mount Ext3_8Go (or anything close, not in English in the text), not authorized (that part is in English)"
My install is :
- net install
- partitions : 9Go for /, no swap, no separate /home
- packages : base and base-devel. The only modifications in the package list is that I remove ppp, pcmciautils, and xfsprogs.
- config : at the install stage I only modify rc.conf to change LOCALE and HOSTNAME, and pacman's mirrorlist to allow all French mirrors in addition to the one at the top.
When the usb installation is over, I run this script :

How to create a demo with time limit? (timebomb)
Hello,
I would like to create a demo of a game I made but want to limit the amount of time it will run once installed. (30 days).
Is there an xtra or a straightforward way to do this in lingo?there is no straightforward way to do it in any programming language. I'm currently developing a Director-specific trial version solution, but it's not ready yet for general/commercial use. Are you looking for a free solution or are you willing to pay?
Trial Versions are used so users can try out your software and then buy it if the software is something they want. So, there are two parts to trial software;
1. the code that handles the trial version
2. the code that handles the product serial and registration/licence keys
The code that handles the trial version needs to be able to do these things:
1. Keep track of the trial period. This involves recording the first run date/time and incrementing that date/time when the software is launched each subsequent time and comparing that against the trial period.
2. Protect against backdating - turning back the computer clock to get more trial time.
3. Protect against uninstall/reinstall.
Dealing with all three of these issues becomes complicated; let's look at a solution using a licence file. What about a licence file will solve all the issues listed above?
1. The licence file will contain the First Run Date (FRD), the Last Run Date (LRD), and other specific user and product info.
2. A licence file should be encrypted to ensure it cannot be tampered with.
3. A licence file should be moved to the user's AppData (or equivalent) folder by the installer software (such as NSIS). This ensures the first run date is only ever recorded once... what do I mean by this? If your app had to check first before opening and writing to the license file, then someone could easily circumvent the trial version by deleting the file at which point your application would be forced to move/write the licence file again and the user would be able to start the trial over again. Well, the installer only ever runs once. So, if it copies over the licence file during the installation process then our application, when it runs the first time, only has to check if the file is there; if not then the trial has been tampered with, if it's there then read the FRD, and if blank then we can be sure it's writing the FRD for the first and only time.
4. The file could be hidden to ensure that an un/reinstallation of your software wouldn't circumvent your trial security. Another method is to write to the registry some entry that's obscure or looks like some other info for your software... this is what's called security by obscurity which is frowned upon in the industry, in general, but there's really no way around it in the case of trial software methods.
5. A licence file can be used as a red-herring if you want to use an obscure/hidden registry entry to save the real trial version information. If that's the case, you should follow the same steps as above and have your installer write the initial registry entries so it cannot be as easily circumvented by your code checks.
Encryption is a big part of trial version security. If you're using MX2004 or above then you can find javascript ports of some strong encryption algorithms such as AES or RSA. RSA is an asymmetrical (ie public/private key) encryption algorithm whereas AES is a symmetrical (ie. private key) algorithm. The important things to look for in an implementation are ones that will encrypt a variable length string. These implementations use modes to encrypt fixed length chunks of the string, thus making the core encryption algorithm useful in practical situations such as encrypting variable length strings.
Creating a trial/registration .dir file (trial window) that gets published with the main application .dir file:
Below, I've outlined these steps so you can see what I mean. I've tested this process and it's solid, AFAIK. Here are the steps:
1. Create a project and name it movie1. Add a framescript with the 'go the frame' code on it.
2. Add a label named 'continue' on the frame just after the 'go the frame' framescript.
3. Add a button, and this code:

4. Now, go into the Publish Settings options and go to the 'Files' tab and add any of your other .dir files you want under the 'Additional Files:' heading (the option to Play every movie in list will be checkmarked by default. Leave it like that).
5. Now, Publish your project and you will have ONE .exe called movie1.exe which contains two .dir files that have been published.
6. Open your User Temp folder and observe the folder that's created when you run movie1.exe... no temp .dir file is created when you run movie1.exe
7. Creating another .dir with this code:
go to frame "continue" of movie("movie1")
...does not work as it's looking for a .dir or .dxr or .dcr and will not work with an .exe.
What this means is you can create a single executable that runs the trial window with all your trial version code and if everything checks out in the licence file then you can go to the main application movie. The trial window can be used to display the trial information, including a registration section, if you like. Google examples of trial version software to get ideas of what should be included in a trial version display.

Captivate created file playing with time delay
I have an issue with some machines in the Company where Adobe Captivate files are not playing as created via Flash Player ie where a slide should move onto another slide after a 3 seconds interval , this interval takes over 15 seconds.
I am not getting any error messages and the files play as required but with the serious time delay between slides.
The files created from Captivate are exe files.
The strange thing is that this issue only occurs in some machines in the Company and I am unable to determine a pattern as to this issue.
I have updated the Codec driver and the Graphic drivers on the affected machine but did not solve the issue.
I have tested an affected file on 2 of the same model machines (HP Desktop machines) both running Windows XP SP3 with Adobe Flash Player 10.3 and IE8.0 .
The file played successfully on one of the machines but on the other machine there was a 10 second time lag between slides.
I have checked Task Manager and the process is only using 2-3% of the CPU so the machine has enough CPU to run the file .
I updated to Flash 11.1 on one of the machines and IE 9 but still encountered the same issue.
I have disabled the Anti Virus software (McAfee) while testing on one of the affected machines and this did not solve the issue.
All Machines have the latest approved Microsoft updates installed as required.
The files are created using Adobe Captivate 3 and are stored locally on the affected machines
The files created were created in captivate with a standard 30 fps option

As I understand things, when you launch an EXE file created by Captivate, it decompresses and temporarily installs a runtime version of the Flash Player. So I'm wondering if perhaps on these machines where the delay is occurring, if it would help to perform the following steps:
1. Clear all temporary files
2. Perform a defragmentation of the hard drive
I'd try step one first and see if anything improves. Perhaps that's all that is needed. The second step is simply a good habit to get into.

Can not create new DB with DBCA ora-12560
My OS is Windows XP. Oracle version is 10.2.0.3.
Try to create an instance with dbca. I got ora-12560 error when coping database files.
So I try to create DB instance manually.

Welcome to the forums.
You can try one of the two options below to work around your issue.
Drag and drop the files from the desired music folder to the BlackBerry Music folder using the computer.
Open the desired music folder on the computer
Go into Computer or My Computer and open the BlackBerry network drive
Open the Music folder
Drag the desired music files from the computer music folder to the BlackBerry Music folder
Try a different Windows profile.
Go into the Control Panel and create a new user account
Put some music files in a folder that is accessible by all profiles or transfer them to the BlackBerry device
Log out of the current profile and log into the new profile
Transfer music into iTunes or Windows Media Player
Launch BlackBerry Link and go through the setup configuring the music source of your choice
Click on the Computer name in the bottom left corner of Link
Select Music on the left side
Drag and drop the desired music files from the list to the BlackBerry name in the bottom left corner of Link
If neither of these options work for you then you will want to contact your mobile service provider and ask that this issues be escalate to BlackBerry support for investigation.

How to create shipment document with out inbound delivery document
Dear Friends
How to create shipment document with out outbound/inbound delivery document.
In my client scenario, there is no inbound delivery for normal purchases.
Just there are raising the PO to vendor, then they are doing MIGO for goods receipt.
Can we do shipment creation with reference to PO?
If it is possible, how it will be?
Please let it solve

Please go to transaction VT01N here you enter Transportation planning point and shipment type then press enter.
Now system will take you to the shipment document creation screen here you click on Select deliveries or press F6 now system will take you to the select outbound deliveries screen in this screen you enter selection data then execute, now deliveries will get assigned to that shipment.
After assigning the deliveries enter the remaining data then complete the shipment finally save the shipment document.

Note:- Shipment process need to be carry out for the deliveries before PGI.

A problem regarding set up of Oracle Lite 3.6.0.2.0 on Win 95, with JDK 1.1.8 and Java 2 SDK ( Ver 1.3 Beta)
After the installation of Oracle Lite 3.6.0.2.0 on a laptop (with WIN 95 OS), When I run Oracle Lite Designer from start menu, I receive following error message :

My ORACLE_HOME is c:\program files\ora95_2 and Oracle Lite is installed under the ORACLE_HOME in LITE\DESIGNER directory.
JDK version is 1.1.8 which is greater than 1.1.4 installed in c:\program files\jdk1.1.8, My PATH, and CLASSPATH are set in AUTOEXEC.BAT as follows:

the PATH and CLASSPATH were set accordingly, as with JDK1.1.8, and there was no classes.zip in classpath
also the class file or the jar file looks weird or wrapped in the error message : 'FILES\ORA95_2\LITE\DESIGNER\oldes.jar;C:\PROGRAM'
Another interesting thing I noticed is if I run oldes.exe from Installation CD, the Oracle Lite Designer runs fine, and without error, I'm able to modify tables in the database of my laptop also.
Could someone shade some light on what am I doing wrong here ?

Lightroom 4 crashes when trying to open the slideshow module. I spent over three hours with both Adobe and Apple tech support and we know it is a permission issue but have not been able to get it solved. It started with the last upgrade to 10.8
Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

Step 2 (optional)
The first step should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word, all lower case, with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.

How to create list items with multiple attachment files using rest api javascript
In one of user form I am using javascript rest api to create a list item with multiple attachment files. So far I am able to create list item and once created uploading an attachment file. But this is two step process first create an item and then upload
a file.
It create an additional version of the item which is not desired. Also I am not able find a way to attach multiple files in a go. Following is the code I am using.

But this does not solve the core of the issue. You are uploading attachments after creation of item and multiple files are being attached in loop. This is kind of iterative update to an existing item with attachments. This will end up creating multiple versions.
What I am trying to achieve is to create an item along with multiple attachments in a go. No item updates further to attach a file.
Please suggest how this can be done in one go. SharePoint does it when one creates an item with multiple attachment.

How can I create VI's with inputs which will execute immediately when updated?
I am using LabView to control stepper motors. I would like to create a VI with a front panel which has 4 directional arrows, 2 per motor. My goal is to be able to run the VI and then press a button to move the motor.
I have created separate VI for each funcition of the motors - a vi to set the holding current, one to set the moving current, another to move up by a certain amount, and so on. These vi's work and I can move and adjust the motors, but only by running separate VI.
How can i combine them into one VI and have them execute at the press of a button or change of a property? An example would be to set a new holding current, and have the holding current vi execute immediately and send the command to the motor. Then keep on pressing the directional buttons without having to hit "run" on another vi.

I have just begun to practise with Indesign. I want to create a tale with 22 pages. My question is how?
At the moment it's half solved, because I have done 10 sheets and each is 2 pages, but I need 2 more.
When I want to add more pages, alert message advise me that's no possible. The maxium is 10.

Thanks a lotI'm not sure if I understand the way your document is set up currently. It sounds to me like you have created single InDesign pages that each contain a two-page spread for your finished document. This is not a good method for laying out anything longer than will fit on the front and back of a single sheet of paper.
Instead you should be making your InDesign document using the "facing pages" option and setting the page size the same as the folded size of the finished booklet. If you have color that bleeds, add a bleed allowance in the document setup dialog (click the show more options dialog). When your booklet is printed the pages need to be arranged back cover/front cover, inside front/inside back, page last/page 1 and so forth so they appear inthe correct order after binding. This is easily automated if the pages are separate, but if they start out on the same sheet it is up to you to get the order right from the beginning, and it is difficult to do design work in printer's spreads layout. Keeping pages in consecutinive order allows you to design in the same view that your readers will see.
I'm not sure what the error message about the limit of 10 is, but it sounds like you are trying to make a single spread for the whole document. You can have a maximum of 10 pages in a single spread. The question is why do you want so many pages next to each other? Does the document fold out this way? A "normal" book uses many two-page spreads. You can add pages normally by dragging a master page icon into the live page area in the panel, or using the "insert pages" command from the panel menu.
To edit a master page, double-click its name. Add your page number in a text frame by inserting a "current page marker" special character in the frame.

The problem i faced was;
I created the table ...... with all the fields as keys ..
When i executed TCODE SM30 (Maintain Table) it said ... "View/table can be only maintained with resrictions " and hence then it dint allow me to maintain ... ;-(
So then i changed the "Maintanence" status to "Display/Maintance" allowed.
thats how my problem of maintaining the table solved!!!

I am new to CRM and we hv ECC 6.0 & CRM 6.0 in our environment.
We have a process where a Credit Memo Request is created with reference to a Sales Order.
Now till this point we had launched VA01 in the ICWC and were creating the CMR with reference to the Standard Order.
Henceforth we want to move this to the CRM ICWC.
In ICWC we create Standard Sales order using Work Center IC_BT_SLO tied to the Navigation profile.
I am looking for some way of copying this order to a Credit Memo Request in the ICWC.
I tried adding the Complaints button on the navigation profile ... however it creates a new CMR ... not sure how to enable copying it from the Original Sales order in ICWC
Any thoughts ?
