[SOLVED] Mounted eMMC shows only 19KB of memory for slot 3??

Hello Friends,
As, we have eMMC for slot 3 for AM335x BSP. After adding some entries in for corresponding slot in the source code and in .reg file, we are able to mount the eMMC as a storage Media...
But, we can only see 19KB of memory instead of 8GB.???
What may be the reason for this unexpected output.. Any thing related to .reg file or some thing else????

Hi,
Thanks for sharing the codeplex link, but it has no example related to eMMC. I have replace the MountFlags and I am using the new entries are as -
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\MMC\PartitionTable]
"0F"="FATFS"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\MMC]
"Name"="MMC Card"
"Folder"="MMC_CARD" ;MC Card
"PartitionDriver"=""
"AutoPart"=dword:1
"DefaultFileSystem"="FATFS"
And with this the log entries are as -

    Well heck! I didn't know you were being forced to suffer in Quirks Mode!
    Quirks Mode kicks in if a page doesn't have a <!DOCTYPE> tag as its first element, which might have happened if you have any custom master pages, or if you upgraded to SharePoint 2010 from 2007, reusing some of the default master pages.
    The fix appears to be to add a proper doc type declaration to the top of your masterpage (or to your standalone page, if it's been customized), before the opening <html> tag.

  • [solved] mounted NFS shows nobody:nobody

    I followed the wiki and found a thread that mentioned using the fsid=0 option in exports file but its not working for me.
    I enabled rpc-idmapd on the client (Arch), its running I checked with systemctl status rpc-idmapd. The server is running Debian Wheezy with ZFS volumes mounted and exported as legacy, I placed 'NEED_IDMAPD=YES' in /etc/default/nfs-common and, when that didn't work, in /etc/default/nfs-kernel-server too. I restart nfs-kernel-server after changes and remount the shares on the client.
    When that didn't work I exported the shares with 'fsid=0', but then I can't even enter the share, I get 'device does not exist' (IIRC, that was yesterday and can't find the literal message in the logs anymore).
    Anyway, this worked fine when my client was running Wheezy and it still works fine for other clients so my guess is I got something wrong on my Arch system.
    I'd appreciate some help getting this to work properly.
    Thanks in advance!

    I know that, it doesn't negate the fact that Debian has that comment that made me believe it wasn't necessary if the domain is the same on all hosts. It worked when I was running Debian on both the client and server, but with Arch apparently I need to specifically set it.
    I edited the wiki to reflect this (my first edit ), hope I did oke there.

    Another issue is that it never before said that i had a problem with the amount of ram i have and now says that it is disabling the 3D moduel.????
    Any helpwould be great as it is saying i only have 22 days to trial it???  what's up with that?

    Hi 755scrabblematt,
    Can you try this, launch the Adobe Application Manager from either the Start Menu or the Applications folder and install all updates. Then launch Photoshop CS6 and click the "License This Software" button and sign in with your Adobe Id. See if that resolves the issue.
    For the 3D thing, this document might help or provide additional info.

    Odisej, unfortunately, processes such as remote sessions are reserved for phone cases only. You can create a phone case here;
    http://store.businessobjects.com/store/bobjamer/en_US/pd/productID.98078100?resid=S6I@hgoHAkEAAGsiyVkAAAAR&rests=1282226845369
    Also, just as an FYI, see the blog [What are these 'support' forums good for anyhow?|/people/ludek.uher/blog/2011/04/07/what-are-these-support-forums-good-for-anyhow]
    Without phone support, you are left to do most of the foot work your self. On the forums, we can provide suggestions and guidance, but that is about it.
    Couple of things to note though. If you do create a phone case, one of the 1st things that you will be asked is to update your app to SP6 - unless you can prove the same issue exists with SP6 (see more bellow).
    Something I would recommend you try is to take an XP box, install SP6 on it, then install your app on it. If this works, your options are highly limited. E.g.; SP6...
    One other utility that may be worthwhile to use is [Process Monitor|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx]. Run that on the XP box. In the logs, look for "Access Denied" error messages. Look for load or other issues with crxf_xls.dll, exportmodeller.dll and crtslv.dll.
    From your responses I am still not sure if you actually did run Modules and compared the results. This is much, much easier to do than working with ProcMon and I'd start there. To summarize, my troubleshooting plan (irrespective of the limits imposed on you) would be:
    1) Use Modules as this is the easiest thing you can do
    2) Try this with SP6 - more work that (1) above, but at least you are on the latest. If this works, banging your head into an SP5 wall will do you no good (like I said, irrespective of what ever limits...)
    3) Use ProcMon - not too difficult, but time consuming as you will be looking over 100s, possibly 1000s of lines and not being familiar with details of CR, this will take time.

  • My Mac have 2x4 (8GB) of ram but after installing Lion os x I can see 2x2 (4GB) or Ram only, I have tried every slot with swaping all the slots.

    Friends I have upgraded my SL to Lion after installing I see only 4 GB of ram out of 8 gb (2gb x 4), I have tried all the options changing slots and swaping ram to different slots and card also.
    V' Sam.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply... I just downloaded your recomended software, this software test the memory which is in the list of system, which system says these memory slots are availble. but the issue with my system is different. My all ram slot are working well on both memory slot cards, but in actuall I have 4 memory sticks of 2gb each (8gb) which was installed on one card and when I installed Lion OS X it is showing only 4 GB of memory 2 memory sticks are showing only other 2 memory sticks are not showing in machine when we start and see in system information. I replaced 2 memory sticks with other they were also working and I even tried placing all memory sticks on other memory slot card they were also working but only 2 slots are showing... only 2 memory sticks of 2 gb - 4 GB out of 8 GB.

  • What is the best way to capture RGB8 image to memory for later write to disk?

    HI-
    I have been using the code below for some time now but wonder if an expert can take a look and let me kown if there are ways to improve it.  Problem I run into is that I preallocate the memory beforehand (camera.buffering[]), and with a 5 MP camera, this takes up a lot of RAM.  It seems like when I am running this program in debug mode all day and constantly start/stop it without allowing it to free the memory gracefully, i eventually bog the system and start getting Out of Memory error -12, in other places in my code such as DisplayBitmap or GetBitmapfrom File.  Is this all related to how much memory I am trying to allocate prior to begining the camera capture routine below?  Am I not allocating and free-ing it properly?
    Code is below for how I grab the image and then send to memory usign memcpy.  Is there a better, more efficient or faster method?  I have removed error checking/etc from code below simply to save space. This operates at 15 fps.
    I also included my allocation and free-ing code, too.
    Thanks in advance.
    Blue
    //caemra capture loop//
    camera.dxerror = IMAQdxGrab (camera.session, camera.image, 1, &camera.bufNum);
    stat = imaqRotate2 (rotateimage, camera.image, camera.rotate_image, pixval, IMAQ_BILINEAR, TRUE);
    stat = imaqScale (scaledimage, rotateimage, 4, 4, IMAQ_SCALE_SMALLER,IMAQ_NO_RECT);
    stat = imaqGetImageInfo(camera.image,&camera.info);
    stat = imaqDisplayImage (scaledimage, 0, FALSE);
    memcpy (camera.buffering[camera.count], camera.info.imageStart, camera.info.pixelsPerLine*camera.CAMY*camera.bytesperpixel);
    //memory allocation code//
     camera.buffering = (int **)malloc(camera.maxcount*sizeof(int*));
     for(i=0;i<camera.maxcount;i++)
          camera.buffering[i] = (int *)malloc(camera.info.pixelsPerLine*camera.CAMY*camera.bytesperpixel);
    // free allocated memory code//
     for(x=0;x<camera.maxcount;x++)
             free(camera.buffering[x]);
    free(camera.buffering);

    How many images are you storing in RAM?  Typically when I need to work with tens, hundreds, or even thousands of images, I save them to the hard drive after I capture them as a PNG with 1000 quality.  Sometimes I process them before saving, sometimes I process them offline from the saved images depending on the application.  If you don't need all of the images simultaneously in memory at once, just save them to PNG.  If you only process one image at a time, only allocate enough memory for the processing you need to perform on a single image.

  • [kinda solved, hd broken]Salvaged hard drive mounted as read-only

    My old netbook died recently (if a guy in a shady computer store in Edinburgh tells you that "this adapter will surely work" -- what ever you do, don't believe him). Got a new netbook, and an external usb hd case for the old hard drive in the hope of salvaging it.
    The old hd seems to have survived, as it mounts just fine and all my old partitions show up (home folder, root, swap...). However, I cannot change the permissions of the files using thunar as root, nor can I copy them to my internal hd --probably because the drive is mounted as read-only. The /home partition, which is the one I'm interested in copying things from, is formated in ext4.
    I'm guessing I should change something in my fstab, though I'm not sure what exactly. What's weird though is that the drive does not show up when I run sudo fdisk -l, nor does it show in gparted (which is run as root, of course) -- meaning I don't know what rule I should put in my fstab file, as I dont know what mount point to apply it to. I use xfce on my current laptop, but seeing as the problem persists when I try on my partners ubuntu laptop I figure that the DE hasn't got much to do with it.
    I guess I could open up the computer, put in the old hard drive and change some configs, install drivers etc. to make my new computer boot properly from it. Does seem like a drag though, so I figured I'd try asking here first. I suspect this is a fairly common problem, but my google-fu does not appear to be strong enough as I've failed to find a solution on my own.

    I hope you have some sort of backup.
    Yes, "cannot read" is indeed a more disheartening message... When trying to copy the files through thunar, I can see them but not move or open them -- and trying to change the permissions results in an error message about the file system being "read-only".

    The thing might indeed be dead...
    I have backups of all the important things -- just wanted to save some recent random files and a bunch of wallpapers, but I think I'll survive the loss. Thanks for the help guys. Might try to format the whole thing, see if its just the data that's corrupted or of the harware is busted as well.

    My iPad Mini iOS7 is showing only Apple Logo which happened during software update. I tried to restore using iTunes but it asking me to response from iPad. But my ipad only shows apple logo. How can i response? How to solve this problem?

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
    DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
    3. Repeat the process if necessary.

    Hi WonderWoofy,
    I did a very dump thing. I deleted my /dev/sda1 ntfs partition, moved /dev/sda2 containing my lvm volumes to the left, resized /dev/sda2 and allocated the free space to my /home logical volume group. Lots of files ended up to be corrupt, I reinstalled all packages and ran fsck several times. Now at least it is starting again. I just found out that the entire root partition is mounted as read-only. In the following is the entire journal excerpt:

  • My 32 GB Touchpad showing only a memory capacity of 16 GB

    I just noticed that my 32 GB touchpad is showing only a storage capacity of 16 GB. Has anybody experienced this?  Can anyone help me fix this problem?
    Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

    Ckingphotos,
    The TP has 1 GB RAM reserved for the system and the user memory avail. should be approx. 15 GB's with no additional apps or 3rd party software installed. Try a restart like the previous person did and check the avail memory.
    You could also try the automated test in device info., diagnostics, automated tab and then select automated test suite. This will test the memory and will give an error code if it fails. If you get an error code, or if it still shows the same avail. memory, call the tech support line and setup a repair.
