    Okey, I have tried all norways, finlands, swedens, germans and usa's mirrors and none of them will work for me. I got the exact same error as stated above! I don't think it's healthy for me to countinue and try out another mirror
    I will simply try to reboot my arch and see what will happend..hahaha...this is just crazy!

  • Synchronizing package databases

    I get this error when I try to "pacman -Syy" or "pacman -Syu"
    :: Synchronizing package databases...
    error: failed to synchronize core:
    error: failed to synchronize extra:
    error: failed to synchronize commutity:
    error: failed to synchronize any databases
    I'm pretty sure my network is up, I can ping www.google.com
    I originally tried to use the example
    [core]
    # Add your preferred servers here, they will be used first
    Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
    [extra]
    # Add your preferred servers here, they will be used first
    Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
    #[unstable]
    # Add your preferred servers here, they will be used first
    Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
    [community]
    # Add your preferred servers here, they will be used first
    Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
    when that didn't work I tried "nano /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist" only to get a newfile. Apparently mirrorlist does not exist. I then tried it "Include = /etc/pacman.d/" in all my lines, wherein I still get the "error: failed to synchronize *"
    Should I have anything specific in those lines? what about my mirrorlist, what should it look like.
    note: I'm using x86_64 version.

    You can reuse that mirrorlist from svn, but you have to substitute the @carch@ just like the PKGBUILD does :
    sed -i -e "s/@carch@/${CARCH}/g" ${startdir}/pkg/etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
    So for x86_64, you can do this after copying the file to the correct place :
    sed -i -e "s/@carch@/x86_64/g" /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
    I was going to copy http://repos.archlinux.org/viewvc.cgi/p … iew=markup
    Am I supposed to be doing something different?
    Yes, you are supposed to do as I said!
    First copy it to the correct place, then run that sed rule.

  • Problems with IMAQ Vision after upgrading from Labview 6i to Labview 6.1

    Hi,
    We just upgraded from Labview 6i to 6.1.To do this,we uninstalled the 6i version as was suggested by NI and then installed the 6.1 version.Later when we tried to run the old vi's written using Imaq vision, we ran into different problems.Has anyone experienced any similar problems with IMaq vision after upgrading?If so please help me solve this issue.
    Thanx
    deepak

    What kind of problems?
    I would strongly suggest that you uninstall IMAQ (all elements) and reinstall them. They register with Windows, probably docked to 6i, and also must be recompiled, which I believe is done in installation.
    This is your best bet.
    If you still have problems, contact NI and ni.com/ask and start a support inquiry.

  • Reception / Battery problems with iPhone 3GS after upgrading to iOS 4.2.1

    There are major reception and battery problems with iPhone 3GS after upgrading to iOS 4.2.1.
    I can not believe that Apple did not test this for major bugs like this one is.
    I am a business user and can not effort to have bad reception. Apple wants to gain in the business clients... I never had this with my former BlackBerrys!
    I need a reliable phone not a play thing like this is right now, it just needs it to work propely. And if a major bug like this comes along, fix it immediately. After the iPhone4 story, now this...incredible! Going back to my reliable BlackBerry! It just ain't reliable and takes forever to fix a problem.

    I have the same issue after iOS 4.2.1 update. I am using iPhone 3GS officially unlocked by Apple. I tried using different SIM cards and both carriers show same problem when using phone in 3G mode. Phone falls back to EDGE mode showing 'E' from '3G' at start. I have reset the phone and rebooted several times and moved to different cell areas in the city just to verify the problem.
    I had no such issues earlier. I also have Nokia E71 which shows full signal and has no such issues.
    I have posted the bug on apple iphone feedback page. I hope they Apple will fix the problem and test the release properly on all models before releasing to public.

I went to the Adobe website and had them check to see if it was working and it shows I have FlashPlayer 10.3.181.36. The page that shows  which version of flash player goes with Windows XP states that I should have 10.3.181.34 (This is what I thought I had before I updated, I was having the same problems). When I went into my computer to see what version I have, it shows 11.5.9.620 Activex and both Flash Player and Flash Player Object is listed as 10.3.181.34. My firewall for Windows is set to medium. I also am running Norton Internet Security. It takes anywhere from 3-6minutes for some of my games to load, and I have to refresh at least 3-4 times in order to play. When I do start to play it freezes frequently and I use escape to free it up. This has been going on for a month. I have no idea what to do. It is best to wait till there is a 10.9.1 update as new OS X systems always cause problems to some installations. Better not to risk losing data unless you have a bootable clone that enables you to revert to the original (pre upgrade) state. Haste makes waste.

    Has any one had problems finding RSS feeds after upgrading to 10.8?

    RSS feeds no longer appear in Mail in Mountain Lion (nor in Safari). You'll need a separate RSS application.
    BTW, this forum is for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. The forum for OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is this one:

  • Pacman - Synchronizing package databases

    Hello folks,
    pacman does not update my system. The last time I did 'pacman -Syu' was on the 23-08-2011, but I can see that there are updates for core and so on.
    When I force pacman to update the package list with 'pacman -Syy' or when I try to update the system I will get something like
    pacman -Syy
    :: Synchronizing package databases...
    core 0.8K 8.2K/s 00:00:00 [##] 100%
    extra 0.8K 1004.6K/s 00:00:00 [##] 100%
    community 0.8K 1134.7K/s 00:00:00 [##] 100%
    multilib 0.8K 1432.4K/s 00:00:00 [##] 100%
    archlinuxfr 24.3K 368.0K/s 00:00:00 [##] 100%
    The databases for core, extra, community and multilib are very small and i guess that's the cause that my system does not update.
    The mirrorlist seems to be OK.
    Any suggestions on how to update the package database to update the system again. Has it something to do with the latest pacman update?
    Thanks!
    #EO

  • Problem with sound, maybe after upgrade.

    Hello guys,
    Yesterday I did a system upgrade and after I rebooted there seems to be a problem with my sound. There is now a popping sound during startup from both speakers, and again a crackling sound when it wakes from sleep. If I connect my headphones there is no sound output through it. The output is through speakers. My system is an Asus X201E. This is a part of pacman.log after which the problem started:

    Hello dabholkaras,
    Today I did a system upgrade and after I met a similer sound problem.
    I resolved this problem by downgrade packages as follows;
    upgrade /var/log/pacman.log:
    [2013-09-28 18:14] [PACMAN] upgraded linux-firmware (20130725-1 -> 20130903-1)
    [2013-09-28 18:14] [PACMAN] upgraded linux (3.10.10-1 -> 3.11.2-1)
    [2013-09-28 18:14] [PACMAN] upgraded linux-headers (3.10.10-1 -> 3.11.2-1)
    downgrade command:
    ~ $ sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/linux-firmware-20130725-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
    ~ $ sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/linux-headers-3.10.10-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
    ~ $ sudo pacman -Ud /var/cache/pacman/pkg/linux-3.10.10-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

  • [SOLVED] System fails to boot after upgrade.

    Not exactly sure what happened as the upgrade appeared to go smoothly. Now trying to start just causes an endless cycle of rebooting. I have been unable to even boot into single user mode. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated here.
    Using the livecd I can mount all the filesystems, and I have run fsck on all of them so I know they are clean. Here are my grub entries:
    # (0) Arch Linux
    title Arch Linux
    root (hd0,1)
    kernel /boot/vmlinuz26 root=/dev/disk/by-uuid/569a7fe5-7452-4064-adc1-71b6b2b58b0b resume=/dev/sda7 ro vga=773 elevator=deadline
    initrd /boot/kernel26.img
    # (1) Arch Linux
    title Arch Linux Fallback
    root (hd0,1)
    kernel /boot/vmlinuz26 root=/dev/disk/by-uuid/569a7fe5-7452-4064-adc1-71b6b2b58b0b ro vga=773
    initrd /boot/kernel26-fallback.img
    I have tried using a kernel line of just:
    kernel /boot/vmlinuz26 root=/dev/sda2 ro
    and get the same results, as soon as grub starts to load the kernel the system reboots and I can't see what's on screen long enough to know what's happening.

    That does appear to be my issue, I use jfs with no separate /boot
    Edit:
    The following steps fixed it:
    Mount your / (and /boot partition into this mount) from your Ach system, ex:
    sda2 (/) -> /mnt/arch
    sda1 (/boot)(if you have a own /boot) -> /mnt/arch/boot
    Do a chroot /mnt
    and therein a:
    pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/kernel26-2.6.30.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz (or i686)
    further details at the link above.

  • Slow down Database after upgrading to 10.2.0.5

    Hi
    I am having performance problems after upgrading to 10.2.0.5
    At the beginning I thought the problem was sga too smalle ( ini: 598M , now 1408M ) but even after recreating the database with the new value the problem remains.
    I am sending reports so that someone could give me an idea.
    Thanks in advance!
