[SOLVED] Quarkcoin-qt, PKGBUILD created

Hi,
I have just created the PKGBUILD, .install, and .desktop files for Quarkcoin-qt. I modified the PKGBUILD for Litecoin and adapted it for Quark.
It worked for me.
If someone with the permissions want to upload it to the AUR, Here is the code:
PKGBUILD:
pkgname='quarkcoin-qt'
pkgver=0.8.3
pkgrel=2
arch=('x86_64')
url="http://www.qrk.cc/"
makedepends=('boost' 'automoc4' 'qrencode' 'miniupnpc')
license=('MIT')
pkgdesc="Peer-to-peer network based digital currency (QT)"
depends=(boost-libs qt4 miniupnpc qrencode)
conflicts=(quarkcoin)
install=quarkcoin-qt.install

# and make qt gui

All you have to do is make an AUR account and you can upload it.
BUT please don't in it's current form. You're pulling a tarball of git master, so the pkgname should be suffixed with -git. Plus the checksum will change constantly, so you would need to change that to SKIP and have no checking at all. Really, you need to either do a git clone which does it's own checksumming (see VCS PKGBUILD Guidelines in the Wiki) or pull a tarball of a specific tag. If you need help with a pkgver function that makes sense, let us know.

    Music purchased from the iTunes store is not stored in your personal iCloud account, and an iCloud account is not required to redownload them.  You should be able to redownload them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519.  If you are unable to, contact iTunes store support for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com ; click ‘iTunes', and then 'iTunes Store', then 'Purchases, Billing & Redemption'.

  • Please help me to solve error: Split mapping created no messages

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing Split mapping created no messages  when i run my scenario.
    My Scenario is : Proxy to FILE.
    I am triggering Proxy and based on one condition i am generating different Flat Files.
    Now when i do this i am getting error :Split mapping created no messages in SXI_MONITOR.
    When i check this in Message Mapping by taking data from SXI_MONI its working fine...
    but when i trigger the data from RUNTIME WORKBENCH its throughing the error.
    When i remove the NameSpaces <ns0:message>
    and <ns0:messages1> its working fine.
    How can i solve this issue.
    Even though i removed Namespace in Message Type, i am getting the error.
    I changed occurance of Target message to O..unbounded both in Message Mapping and Interface Mapping.
    Its working fine in Message Mapping, problem occurs only when i run end-to-end scenario.
    So please help me to solve this issue.

    I think there might be mismatch between your name spaces.
    may be this link might help you

    are you getting the same structure from your proxies whatever structure you have in your XI structure(sender) and NS should match.

    In your config.log:
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmswsock
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lws2_32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lole32

    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ladvapi32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lwinmm
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lkernel32
    Try find these files which package provides!
    Edit: maybe package 'wine' provides this but as I see these libs are in /usr/lib/wine.

    VCS PKGBUILDs need to include the VCS type at the end of the pkgname. In this case your package should be named "wifiz-git".
    Here's an updated version of your PKGBUILD:
    # Maintainer: Cody Dostal <[email protected]>
    pkgname=wifiz-git
    _gitname=WiFiz
    pkgver=0.9.2.2.r1.g8147a9f
    pkgrel=1
    pkgdesc="NetCTL GUI Frontend, written in wxPython. Stable Version."
    arch=('any')
    url="https://github.com/codywd/$_gitname"
    license=('MIT')
    depends=('python2' 'wxpython' 'wireless_tools' 'netctl' 'wpa_supplicant')
    makedepends=('git')
    optdepends=('gedit: manually edit profiles')
    conflicts=('wifiz' 'wifiz-nightly')
    provides=('wifiz')
    source=("git://github.com/codywd/$_gitname.git")
    sha256sums=('SKIP')
    pkgver() {
    cd "$srcdir/$_gitname"
    git describe --always --long | sed -E 's/([^-]*-g)/r\1/;s/-/./g'
    package() {
    cd "$srcdir/$_gitname"
    python2 setup.py install --root="$pkgdir/" --optimize=1
    Note the following changes:
    pkgname
    conflicts with "wifiz" (all VCS packages should provide and conflict with their non-VCS equivalents)
    removed redundant echo and shell invocation from pkgver function
    "$srcdir/$_gitname" instead of "$_gitname" in pkgver function: the git repo will not be in the same directory if the user sets SRCDIR in makepkg.conf

  • [SOLVED]C compiler cannot create executables DUE TO MISSING DEV. PACKS

    Hi there, I was trying to build "lib32-libpcap" from AUR using yaourt when the gcc(?) reported an error as following:

    Well...at least as up-to-date as on March 2nd(when I did last system-wide upgrade); trying to update system tonight to see whether this works.
    stronnag wrote:If you have multilib and testing enabled, you also need  multilib-testing, otherwise (as I know from bitter experience), you get these hard to track down errors.
    Nope I didn't enable [testing]; I've discovered some packages in [multilib], namely gcc-multilib or something similar(with the -multilib subfix) and some of these packages belong to the group "multilib-devel". Is installing these packages a must for compiling 32-bit packages?

  • [SOLVED] MPD: Failed to create socket

    I've  been attempting to get MPD working today and I'm rather stumped here. I got it to start out of its default directory, however, that denied it access to my music folder. So, I switched all of that to a ~/.mpd folder as the wiki page instructed me (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mu … _as_a_User), and for purposes of keeping organized.
    Now, however, I'm getting this error whenever I run "mpd ~/.mpd/mpd.conf"
    Failed to bind to '[::]:6600': Failed to create socket: Address family not supported by protocol
    I remember that happening before, and it had to do with user permissions and so on. I think I set "user" to "mpd" that time. "User" is now set to my user, where the .mpd folder is located. Is there a way to allow mpd to continue?
    EDIT: My mpd.conf is:
    playlist_directory "~/.mpd/playlists"
    db_file "~/.mpd/mpd.db"
    log_file "~/.mpd/mpd.log"
    pid_file "~/.mpd/mpd.pid"
    state_file "~/.mpd/mpdstate"
    user "spencer"
    mixer_type "software"
    audio_output {
    type "alsa"
    name "Sound Card"
    bind_to_address "any"

    That worked, thanks. At first it gave "failed to open database" but in subsequent startups it's not doing that-- I suppose it created the file at the first time. audio_output's not defined, I suppose that's up to me to set it? It's autodetected at this point and seems to work fine. Should I leave it that way?
    And out of curiosity, what was changed to fix my error?
    First of all: thanks for testing. my setup creates 2 static hosts, instead of letting mpd autodetect it. sometimes ipv6 detection is prefered and this *can* lead to stuff not working properly.
    Also i use absolute paths, to make sure everything works.
    mpds audio output detection works decently, you can of course enable one in ~/.mpdconf to get rid of the warning.
    Also you had one obvious error: you followed mpds wiki entry to start mpd as user. but you defined a user in mpd.conf. this will not work, since mpd can only drop previlegs to that user, when run as root.
    Oh, please mark this thread as solved.

  • [Solved] How can I create logs of my console?

    Hello. I'm fairly new to linux in general and decided to take up the challenge and use Arch Linux. I have succeeded in installing the base system but I'm having a problem with getting my wireless network to work (dhcpcd doesn't seem to want to give me an ipv4 address, the ipv6 address just times out) I would like to create a new thread describing the issue in hopes of solving it but I have no idea how I am going to get the output from my arch console on one computer to this browser on a laptop. I'd like to describe my problem as well as possible but I don't really want to sit here and type out the hundreds of lines of output that I have right now. Could you explain to me how I may go about getting this information onto this forum? Thanks for your help.
    Last edited by Firephyz (2014-07-19 20:04:47)

    I should have all permissions ((ls -l /mnt) returns drwx------)
    Those permissions mean only the owner of that directory has rights.  Ignoring the d (just means its a directory), the first 3 means read, write, and execute permissions for the owner.  The next 3 are blank so the group that owns it gets no permissions.  The last 3 are also blank and mean no one else gets any permissions.  If the directory is owned by root, you need to use su or sudo to be able to access it.
    If that doesn't solve it, another common problem is that NTFS partitions are read-only with the default NTFS driver compiled into the kernel.  You need to install the package "ntfs-3g" to get a driver that can write to NTFS.  If you don't have internet to install that package, you may just want to reformat your USB stick to another file system (FAT32 is good if you need Windows to be able to use it.)

  • Solved, permission error when creating Flash Clip

    My new HP PC is equipped with a device called a personal media drive (K:\). When I tried to and write to this new external drive when creating a Flash clip for the first time, I was unable to do so because I did not have permission. After much searching, I determined that this error is not an Adobe error, but rather a Windows error in Vista. I accessed the drive in explorer, right clicked on it and went to properties. By following the tabs, I was eventually able to enable sharing and grant all permissions to the drive. Once this was done, I was able to successfully render out a .flv file without no diffuculty and withut needing to restart the computer.
    Please, all users, when you do eventually solve your problems, do post your results. Forums are such depressing places to visit otherwise. Registration is pretty quick and "paying it forward", is just being a good human.

  • [Solved] [Systemd] Systemd PKGBUILD on i686 (in a VM) - Linker failure

    Hi all!
    I'm trying to recompile Systemd using the PKGBUILD from ABS (rsynced again today - 18-6-2014). However, I cannot get it to build.
    Obviously the Arch Linux builders can compile this, so I am doing something wrong, in some way shape or form.
    Why I am even trying to do this:
    I want to recompile Systemd for i586 - because I would like to run Arch Linux on the 16 year old Pentium MMX laptop. I have created a build script that builds everything in base and that base depends on, and have rebuilt everything except Systemd for i586 (changed makepkg.conf as per the wiki article https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Install_Arch_i586 which may/may not be accurate).
    I have tried both for i686 (default) and i586, so the issue is not related to the compilation architecture.
    Problem:
    During the compiling process, an error comes up from the ld.gold linker:
    /usr/bin/ld.gold: error: .libs/pam_systemd.ver:2:1: syntax error, unexpected LOCAL, expecting STRING or QUOTED_STRING or EXTERN
    /usr/bin/ld.gold: fatal error: unable to parse the version script file .libs/pam_systemd.ver
    So, the .libs/pam_systemd.ver file is invalid in some way shape or form.
    What I have tried:
    Originally, the problem was with gudev, which I decided was not needed (this system will be CLI only due to low RAM), so I added --disable-gudev to the configure flags in the PKGBUILD. However research suggests that I need pam_systemd for logging in - so I do have to build pam_systemd.
    I am unfamiliar with ld.gold, so further research showed that it was a linker, and that version files are special files that are used to mark libraries. I have base-devel installed, so it is not a missing dependency.
    Looking at the original source tarball, the .libs directory (which poking around in the makefile revealed to be the obj directory) does not exist, so pam_systemd.ver must have been put there at some point. I have looked for references to pam_systemd.ver by running cat on every file and grepping the output, but failed to find any direct references. I have also looked at the other .sym files, which also appear to be the same as version script files. However, there is not one for pam_systemd.
    Peering at the makefile using grep and searching in less have shown me that references to pam_systemd are fairly normal - and do not include any --version-script arguments to ld.gold, so I think that the .ver files are not supposed to exist. But what created them? Why? And why, if they are automagically created, are they invalid?
    The mystery deepens - and my google fu leaves me. Please - can anyone shed some light on this?
    I can post more info if required.
    Thanks,
    pypi

    Hi there!
    I have a solution: adding CFLAGS="$CFLAGS -fno-lto" prior to the configure command fixes the build error!
    This was borrowed from the development systemd Linux From Scratch 'Systemd-214' page (http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/vie … stemd.html. Any comments on what link time optimization does that might possibly create a dodgy version script would be appreciated - I'd love to know more about why this works.
    Looking on the bright side, I now know what LTO is, at least vaguely. You learn new things every day, especially using Arch Linux
    Thanks,

  • [Solved]SIMPLE Question ON "CREATE TABLE as SELECT".

    Hi there,
    I was wondering how to work it out smartly and briefly.
    For example, I already have a "tableA" as following.
    tableA
    id name
    1 name1
    2 name2
    create table tmp as
    select id, name from tableA;
    It will create the tmp table successfully.
    If I want to add a new column 'tel' in tmp table,
    I can run as following.
    create table tmp as
    select id, name, 999 tel, 'aaaaaaaaa' ps from tableA;
    It will add 'tel NUMBER' column and 'ps char(9)' in tableA.
    If I want to add 'col varchar(50)' in tableA,
    I do not want to make a string which contains 50 characters in Select command.
    How can I make it work in a smart way?
    Thanks.
    Phil

    Is there a reason that you need this to be in a single statement? You would normally be better served here with a separate CREATE TABLE and INSERT (possibly as a direct path operation).
    That said, you could use the CAST operator, i.e.
    SCOTT @ jcave102 Local> create table a as select cast('a' as varchar2(50)) col1 from dual;
    Table created.
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.48
    SCOTT @ jcave102 Local> desc a;
    Name                                                  Null?    Type
    COL1                                                           VARCHAR2(50)
    SCOTT @ jcave102 Local> Justin

  • [solved] new abs PKGBUILD for package kernel26...old kernel?

    I was looking into the new PKGBUILD in the /var/abs/core/kernel26 folder, as I wanted to update my custom kernel. I was editing the new PKGBUILD when I saw something weird...references to kernel.org files and archlinux.org patch seems to be same as the 2.6.37 version. Is _basekernel value not updated? Am I wrong?
    Take a look:
    new PKGBUILD (I copied only relevant lines):
    _basekernel=2.6.37
    pkgver=${_basekernel}
    pkgrel=6
    _patchname="patch-${pkgver}-4-ARCH"
    source=(ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-$_basekernel.tar.bz2
    ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/other/kernel26/${_patchname}.bz2
    now...these is exactly the same as PKGBUILD for 2.6.37. But the new files are:
    ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.37.1.tar.bz2
    ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/other/kernel26/patch-2.6.37.1-1-ARCH.bz2
    If I am right, someone has to update variable values...
    TIA

    well...I had time to check so...this is the content for the PKGBUILD after I run abs yesterday (pasted only relevant lines):
    # $Id: PKGBUILD 109724 2011-02-12 08:01:06Z tpowa $
    pkgbase="kernel26"
    pkgname=('kernel26' 'kernel26-headers' 'kernel26-docs') # Build stock -ARCH kernel
    _kernelname=${pkgname#kernel26}
    _basekernel=2.6.37
    pkgver=${_basekernel}
    pkgrel=6
    _patchname="patch-${pkgver}-4-ARCH"
    this is the one I run tonight...looks updated now
    # $Id: PKGBUILD 110322 2011-02-18 20:13:49Z tpowa $
    pkgbase="kernel26"
    pkgname=('kernel26' 'kernel26-headers' 'kernel26-docs') # Build stock -ARCH kernel
    _kernelname=${pkgname#kernel26}
    _basekernel=2.6.37
    pkgver=${_basekernel}.1
    pkgrel=1
    _patchname="patch-${pkgver}-${pkgrel}-ARCH"
    now patch filename and kernel sources correctly resolve to the latest ones.
    but believe me, right after I had the 2.6.37.1-arch kernel, the abs PKGBUILD was outdated...probably it is updated after kernel package is released. doesn't matter
    all in all...now it's ok

  • [SOLVED] Automatically rename folder, create subfolder and move files

    Hey all :>
    my music directory is a bit messed up and untidy. all albums were encoded into one single folder:
    $artist - $album ($year)
    Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic (1975)
    how can i create a parent folder with the name of the artist (here: Aerosmith), a subfolder for the album without the year (Toys in the Attic) and move all mp3's into it? i have no idea how to handle filenames with bash
    thx for every comment! :>

    eh, figured I'd make it a little more elegant and add some directory checks. this should work for all cases theoretically so that if you add music later on you can update your directories
    preconditions: newly added directories are in the format that was prescribed by you and the output doesn't contain any dashes. (I based my glob off of the presence of a dash.)
    #!/usr/bin/perl
    use strict;
    use warnings;
    use File::Copy;
    chdir "music" or die "cuidado! $!";
    my @directories = glob "*-*";
    my @artists;
    my %albumhash;
    foreach(@directories)
    push(@artists,split(/ - /,$_));
    while(@artists)
    my $key = shift(@artists);
    my $value = shift(@artists);
    push(@{$albumhash{$key}}, $value);
    foreach(keys %albumhash)
    if(!(-d $_))
    mkdir $_,0755 or die "couln't makedir\n";
    chdir $_;
    foreach(@{$albumhash{$_}})
    my $dirname = substr($_,0,(length($_) - 7));
    if(!(-d $dirname))
    mkdir $dirname,0755 or die "couldn't make subdir\n";
    chdir "..";
    foreach(@directories)
    my $current = $_;
    my $targetdir = substr($_,0,(index($_,'-') - 1)) . "/" . substr($_,(index($_,'-')+2),(index($_,'(') - index($_,'-') - 3));
    chdir $current;
    my @musicfiles = glob("*");
    chdir "..";
    foreach(@musicfiles)
    my $old = "$current/$_";
    my $new = "$targetdir/$_";
    move($old,$new) or die "Danger Will Robinson! $!";
    rmdir($current);
    Thanks for the fun distraction, normally I don't like being someone's personal army but you caught me during my vacation   you should be receiving my bill via e-mail (just kidding):D
