[SOLVED] Thunar Custom Action copy to move to

If some could please help me. I would like to have a Thunar custom action
that mimicks the copy to, move to action taht can be found in other filemanagers
like dolphin. I would be ok with it using zenity or gtk, or whatever. Also, I am using
thunar in LXDE if that makes a difference.
I have already googled it and found nothing.

This one works for me, using zenity, applied to everything but folders:
mv %F $(zenity --file-selection --directory)
Copy would be the same but with cp, for folders it needs mv -r / cp -r.

Thunar custom actions for devices?

Hi!
As you might know it's possible in Thunar to add custom actions to the context menu of files/folders/...
but is it also possible to add custom actions to devices like flash drives or partitions?
My problem is: I got a few encrypted partitions which got to be decrypted before mounting.
At the moment I use a few folders (with custom actions) in the sidebar to encrypt and mount the partitions but I'd like to get rid of the redundancy (partitions in device list/folders in places list).
So, how can I add a custom action to a device?

As you might know it's possible in Thunar to add custom actions to the context menu of files/folders/...
If only action you'd like to perform don't need root permissions, all of actions is possible from context menu after adding them to Thunar's context menu.

[solved] Thunar - icons in right-click-menu are gone

Hi there.
Since some time my icons in the thunar right-click-menu are gone. I guess they disappeared with thunar 1.4 but I'm not sure.
Is there a way to make them come back? I have a hand full of custom actions and the icons help me to distinguish them faster.
When I open the custom actions manager the icons are still there and are correctly from my current icon theme.

No DE, WM: Openbox, but both gtk2 and gtk3 are there and up to date.
I realized that other icons are missing too. Thunderbird and Firefox don't have icons in their drop down menus as well.
Has something changed in gtk?
Uhrg. Just found it. In lxappearance you can tick 'Show icons in menus'. Don't know why this was unticked.

The above code works fine, but I want the Custom Action to Open in a new Pop up box, like

The movement I change the CommandAction to JavaScript, the app breaks, if I remove the ~remoteAppUrl/Pages/.... the app does not work, it does not apper in the site content. and in appcatalog it shows wrong version number and says Valid App package
as no. what am I doing wrong.

As a security policy, a new customer cannot upload images and links. You can try to add links as text and upload your images to Onedrive and share it temporarily.

How do I share my movies with my wife's iTunes account on the same iMac, without having to actually copy the movie into her library?

I apologize if this is already in the forum somewhere, I simply could not find this question being asked anywhere. We have an iMac running Lion with all of the latest updates as well as the latest version of iTunes. All of the digital movies we've purchased through iTunes, have been purchased through my iTunes account. However, my wife is the one with the iPad, and syncs it with her own iTunes library and her own Apple ID. I have turned on Homesharing for my library, and she can see my library from within her iTunes account. We turned on the feature to automatically copy new movies into her library so that she could sync those movies onto her iPad. However, I quickly discovered that it is literally storing a second copy of the movie file in her iTunes folder, and therefore eating up precious hard drive space. Is there a way for her to "check" movies in my homeshare library from within iTunes to sync with her iPad when she connects it, without actually copying those movies into her iTunes folder? If not, any suggestions on how we can solve this issue?

What you're describing is the expected behaviour. I believe though that is also is the easiest way to have all the contents available to both of you at all times. If you have a spacious hard drive you should probably allow this to happen as anything else will be harder to manage.
My suggestion would be the following if you want to try something different.
Store all your music at a location that is accessible by both of you — an example would be to use your Public Folder as the locations where iTunes will go and look for all the media files—. Your wife does have access to it.
In the Finder you will need to move the folder name iTunes Music to the location in your Public Folder (see above). Once that's done, you and your wife will have to go into the iTunes Preferences > Advance Preferences and un-check Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library. From this point on, you can continue to use iTunes as usual. You'll need to tell your wife what has been newly downloaded/imported into your iTunes so she can manually go look for those items in that Public Folder iTunes of yours and import them into her iTunes. She will not duplicate by doing that, but, like I say this is an all-manual work.
She can do the same, so you have access to contents she imported herself. One more downside of this is that both usernames have to be active in your iMac. If yours isn't, she won't be able to access any item (song, book, app) located in your Public Folder's iTunes.
I'm sure there's a way, if you have an router with external hard drive conectivity, for both of you to be able to access —independently— the iTunes Media at all times but I was just reading at another post that doing so can further complicate things.

Check the secquence number . I don't see any issue in your code. Try with different sequence numbers.

Hi,
I have a requirement for adding a custom action called "DOWNLOAD A COPY" in search results hover panel on click of which will download copy for the user. I am able to implement this for pdf, excel and word files but not for generic and video files
types since ctx.CurrentItem object is not having any property pointing to the item URL. Can someone please help me in getting this property for video and generic file types.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to custom action for context menu in "Site Content and Structure" in SharePoint 2010.

Add ecb custom action to the callout (item menu)

Is it possible to change the order of buttons in the callouts (see image below)? I would like to insert "Download a copy" after the "Open" hyperlink. Anyone has got any ideas?

n order for custom action to appear in your custom list definition you need to change
RegistrationId property to the value of Type property of your list definition. In your case it should be
RegistrationId=10000
If you want to attach your custom action to all document libraries you can try to attach it to Document content type:

in this case i have to write my code inside a custom action. The problem is that i have no a standard controller and ME instance.
So i tried to import controller from memory by IMPORT/EXPORT stataments, but when i create popup the system gets a dump :

Custom Action - SDK -error

Based on the "Developing Custom Action in in SAP MII 12.1" i encountered error while running the action block in BLS. In Link Editor I assign 2 values in Inputs and Output to a tracer. When I execute this BLS, I receive following error

Error in writing custom action

Hi
I wanted to create a new action, so I read "Writing Custom Actions" section in JHeadstart Developer's Guide.
As mentioned in the Developer's Guide, I chose JhsAction as super class and extended a new class called GenerateChart and overrode validateProperties and execute methods.
I wrote a new method in my action class called getData() to retrieve information from model to use in execute method.
here is its specification :

Then as mentioned in the developer's guide (page 2-38) I got the sesion id and passed it to getHandler method.

Surprisingly, I received following compilation error :

I read getDataObject and getDataObjectSet sources and realized that they use getHandler with sessionData instead of sessionId.
Is it a mistake in Developer's Guide?
Then I changed the code to the following

A more reliable source for this kind of information is the JHeadstart JavaDoc, which you can find at J:\jheadstart\doc\api\index.html (where J: is the JHeadstart home). If you look up JhsAction there, you will find detailed information about the methods you can use in your custom actions.

Where is my mistake?Your mistake is that your method getData does not throw an Exception, and the execute method does. If you change the signature of getData to be as follows:

throws Exception
(add the last two words), then you can also put the getHandler lines in getData.

Help creating a custom action

I have a series of steps that I need to do for a large amount of PDFs. I figure the most efficient way to do this is to make a custom action so that I can just do it all in 1-2 presses of a button. However, Im having trouble figuring out how to do certain steps.
1. OCR the document - done
2. Add a drag and droppable signiture to the document - Seems this cant be done via actions
3. Flatten the document - done
4. Send this document as an email to an address listed on the document and BCC a to a constant email.
It seems like step 2 cant be done using actions, which sucks but no choice I guess, so that can be done manually. Step 4 though seems to be givng me some trouble and I think it should be doable. Ideally what I would like is for the user to select a string on the document, and that selected string would be copied to the to field of an email, concated with a domain name, and then a BCC field would be added. Because of this, I figure I would need to make 2 seperate actions. One for steps 1 and 2, then have the user select the email, then one for steps 3 and 4. But Im not sure how to get the email stuff working. Do anyone know how?

You can use the JavaScript method this.mailDoc() to attach a copy of the currently-active PDF to your mail client. Getting the email address depends on where it is - form field contents are easy to extract with JavaScript but text on the page itself is next-to-impossible.

I assume your External HDDs are formatted in NTFS. With this format OSX can see files and copy from but cant copy or move to those devices. You need to install any third party software to enable both way copy/move feature. You can use TUXERA NTFS in OSX. It is fantastic software to solve your problem.
