[Solved] X Freezes When Command Line Parameter Is Added For 2bwm

I'm currently trying to set up 2bwm with my own settings via the config.h file. Here are the changes I'm trying to change.
///---Colors---///
static const char *colors[] = {"#0000FF","#7f7f7f","#7a8c5c","#ff6666","#cc9933","#0d131a","#000000"};
///--Menus and Programs---///
static const char *terminal[] = { "st '-f inconsolata:pixelsize=20'", NULL };
After I tweaked the config.h file, I ran a "sudo makepkg -s --asroot", and then installed the package like this, "sudo pacman -U 2bwm.pkg.tar.xz". I downloaded the "2bwm-git" package via "sudo cower -d 2bwm-git". Is there something I did wrong here?

Copying and pasting is a pain using nano lol.

  • Custom splash screen only shows up when command line is used...

    Hi,
    Everything in my Java web start application works perfectly but, the custom splash screen only shows up when command line is used ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin>javaws -verbose http://www.xxx.eu/AcSentVivresCrus/AcSentJnlp/AcSent.jnlp"), if I use the shortcut on the desktop or in the start menu, the Java 7 splash screen shows up (tested under Windows Vista and Seven). Does someone have any clues?
    Thanks...

    Hi again,
    I made some researches :
    - The link in the generated shorcuts ("C:\Windows\SysWOW64\javaws.exe -localfile -J-Djnlp.application.href=http://www.xxx.eu/AcSentVivresCrus/AcSentJnlp/AcSent.jnlp "C:\Users\Arnaud\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\46\69c1e9ee-1f252d1a") is not the same as the one I use in the command line ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin>javaws -verbose http://www.xxx.eu/AcSentVivresCrus/AcSentJnlp/AcSent.jnlp"). Is there a way in the the JNLP file to tell how to generate shortcuts (not the icon, etc., but command line options)?
    - This sample (https://blogs.oracle.com/thejavatutorials/entry/changing_the_java_web_start) displays the splash screen when I click on the the generated shortcuts (I use Windows 7). I have copied the ButtonDemo jar file and the JNLP file on my IIS web server (Windows 2008 Server), this time the splash screen does not show up when I click the generated shortcuts but always shows up when I use the command line. Can someone tell me if it is a trouble with IIS ?
    Thanks again...

  • Password not to be a command line parameter within scripts

    Hi,
    We have a few batch programs wherein the database passwords are stored as a command line parameter in an environment variable script.
    But the customer wants to avoid this.
    What are the options of storing password externally but which should be accessible to the batch programs.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Narayan

    Might solution depend upon OS name & version?
    Might solution depend upon Oracle version (to 4 decimal places)?
    Might solution depend upon where script file resides on DB Server or remote client system?
    Yes, options exist, but I refuse to speculate based upon total & complete lack necessary details.
    How do I ask a question on the forums?

  • Why can't I access the command line I just downloaded for xcode?

    Why I can't access the command line I just downloaded for xcode?

    Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. I believe the Motorola Bravo is supported. You can check if your phone is supported here:
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
    On some supported devices, a bug prevents Firefox from appearing in the Market. This may be related to the recent Market update. You can go to Settings/Applications and uninstall the Market update, then find and install Firefox.
    Or, you can download the app directly from here:
    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/4.0b3/android-r7/multi/
    (Note: To download the app directly for an AT&T phone, you will have to search for instructions on how to "sideload" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.)

  • Running report from command line with multiple value for same parameter

    Hey,
    I know how to run a report from the command line specifying parameters values each time but I was wondering if someone could tell me how I would go about running the same report multiple times in a batch program but specifying a list of values to pass to a parameter each time.
    So for example if a parameter was 'School Number', how could I run a report in a batch program that would pass a school number to the report as a parameter using a list of school numbers generated for a sql statement or something. So if I had 300 school numbers in my list then I would get 300 different reports when the batch program finished.
    This leads me to another question. How can I dynamically change the name of the report generated by the batch to use the school number value passed in, so for example if the value 3 was passed in the name would be something like School 3.pdf, if 4 was passed in the name would be School 4.pdf....etc
    Any help on this?
    Thanks

    Are you using AUR https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/epso … 320-sx218/ ?
    I updated the PKGBUILD to remove the line that says 'gcc -V >&5'  from the configure file
    libtoolize
    sed -i 's/gcc -V >&5//' configure
    chmod +x configure
    but it still doesn't build:

  • Simple command line parameter does not seem to work; options?

    All,
    I asked an earlier question about getting an application (Olyvia) to work as a remote app.  Specifically, we were having issues with it not wanting to run for more than one user at a time.
    I found that I needed to add the "-m" (multi-user switch) to enable it to run for more than one user at a time.  I tested this by logging on to the server by two different people, bringing up a command prompt, and adding the "-m"
    to execute line.  so, "xvViewer.exe -m"  Worked great.
    Unfortunately this solution does NOT work when setting the same "-m" option in the command line parameters "Always use the following command line parameters"
    I do note that the published app name is Olyvia, but the actual application file is "xvViewer" and is called an "alias."  I'm wondering if the parameter is not being passed to the actual executable?
    Am I going to have to create a vbscript/powershell/whatever that calls the executable with the correct parameter and publish that script instead?
    Thanks,
    GeoffW

    Hi,
    Generally by passing the command line it must work but if for any specific application you are facing any error then you can try for the script\batch file and then publish as RemoteApp and check the result.
    Thanks.

  • Console APP - Call function based upon a command line parameter

    I am writing an extrensible console ( interactive console ) application was thinking having my application read in the command, then look up which function to use to process its parameters.
    say the command the user types is "print Hello World"
    I would just grab the first parameter, recognize it as the print command , and then call a function in my class that prints out "Hello World" to the screen.
    Instead of doing a bunch of If statement to match the first argument to a recognized command, what I would like to do is have a type of Hash table that points to the correct function to process the command.
    So.. something like :
    String cmd = console.readline( "Enter your command" ); - get the users command
    "function = HashMap.get( cmd)" - get the function out of the hashmap
    "function( parameters )" - run the function
    the prompt for another command, as long as the last command wasn't "exit"
    I would have to check to make sure the command had a function mapped to it, but with this setup, all I do is update the table when I need to add a new command. and the function( method ) that processes it.
    Thanks!

    It sounds like you're describing the Command pattern. It normally goes something like this:
    interface Command {
        Object execute(String... args);
    Map<String, Command> commands = new HashMap<String,Command>();
    commands.put("print", new Command() {
        public Object execute(String... args) {
            System.out.print(args);
    // ... and more commands
    //.. then in your command-line UI, for example:
    BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader...
    String line;
    while((line = in.readLine()) != null) {
        String[] tokens = line.split();
        Command cmd = commands.get(tokens[0]);
        String[] args = take_subarray_of_tokens_starting_at_1_I_forget_easiest_way_to_do_that(tokens);
        Object returnval = cmd.execute(args);
        // maybe you'll want to do something with return val, or maybe it should be an int more like an exit val, whatever
    }Not tested but you get the idea.

  • Command-line parameter won't work

    I am trying to use the oraxsl command-line processor to pass a parameter to a stylesheet. All the examples I have found for this format (courtesy of Steve Muench in various mailing lists) show the same format I am using (i.e. oraxsl -p name="Steve" datadoc.xml transform.xsl),
    yet the processor invariably replies "oraxsl: Missing <param list> after -p". To which I can only reply, "There are none so blind as those who will not see." I'm using Windows XP. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

    I have that problem using the XML Java route. The code works but the <xsl:parm name="p"/> does not get populated with the value passed on the querysttring of th ecalling jsp.
    If i hard code the value of p with text then the xslt runs properly.
    I will try the oracle command line function and see what it does as I did not know about it until today.

  • [Solved] Assembly - Passing Integer Command Line Parameters

    This is as good a place to ask as any I suppose, so here goes.
    I'm really only interested in knowing if it is at all possible to push actual values, in this case integers, on the stack from the command Line, i.e. passing arguments and if so how, because as far as I can gather, it is simply impossible to pass anything other than strings.
    Yes I am a noob at assembly, if anyone should doubt that.
    Best regards.
    I thought the best thing to do is simply to explain what I'm actually doing.
    In short, I need to derive the Lightness/Luminance level of a pixel. This of course can be done a number of way. Initially I experimented with image magic, but when I couldn't figure it out, I thought: "Hey, why not learn something along the way?"
    So here I an, trying to do some assembly under linux.
    For those interested the process is actually rather sinbple:
    1. get and convert the rgb input as needed.
    2. Determine the highest and lowest channel (progress so far):
    mov ax, $1;
    mov cx, $2;
    mov dx, $3;
    cmp ax, cx;
    jng else;
    mov ax, ax;
    mox bx, cx;
    jmp next;
    else:
    mov ax, cx;
    mov bx, ax;
    next:
    cmp dx, ax;
    jng else2;
    mov ax, dx;
    jmp end;
    else2:
    cmp bx, dx;
    jnl end;
    mov bx, dx
    end:
    3. add the two values and divide by two. possible implement a way to check if the addition is even or not, so to enable proper rounding.
    4. output the result in one form or another.

    Well, at the same time it makes sense and it don't.
    I makes sense to have a "common language", so to speak, so that various applications can be piped together.
    At the same time however, it's a waste to have the majority of the code dedicated to making conversions. First one for the input and then one for the output.
    But that life I guess.
    Thanks for now.
    When you run a program on a Linux system, it ultimately all boils down to the following function:
    int execve(const char *path, char *const argv[], char *const envp[]);
    Without going into full detail: the first argument is the path to the program being executed. The second argument is literally the "argv" argument list the program sees (which is a null-pointer-terminated array of pointers to null-character-terminated strings). The third argument is the environment. Relevant to you is the second argument. It doesn't matter if it's an assembly program, a C program, or a shell script; the "command-line" arguments to the program, i.e., the argv array, are pointers to strings.
    Lest you have the brilliant idea to take an integer apart into bytes and stick them in a string as one of the argument as some others have suggested, you should consider the following: what if one of the bytes of the integer is 0? That technically ends the "string," and everything following that byte is discarded by execve. Adding 1 to all the bytes wouldn't work, since 0xff would wrap around to 0 again. To make it work, you'd need to encode the integer in some other complicated way to avoid null characters and then decode it inside your program. In other words, you might as well just pass an ordinary string and parse it with atoi or strtol.
    You are of course right, and thanks for the very nice explanation, however it's still a pain in the but.
    I like working with number, not with letters, but enough of this.
    Thanks to all and to all a good night, day or whatever you please.
    Best regards

  • Desktop command line parameter problem

    We have just completed an upgrade from Discoverer 4i to 10g. We use the desktop version installed on a windows 2000 terminal server to run a batch file nightly (using the windows task scheduler to call the batch file). This runs the reports, then exports them in xls format to a public directory. During my testing I installed the 10g desktop version on my win xp machine to test the command line capabilities - we have about 50 reports that run nightly, and everything ran fine. Now I have installed the 10g Desktop and Admin versions on the terminal server, and need to use this new version to run the reports nightly. I did the install as an admin, and I am running the scheduled task as an admin. The reports are failing, complaining about the parameter values. With the exception of the path to the dis51usr.exe file, I'm using the exact same command line on my pc as I'm using on the terminal server.
    Here's the command line I'm using on my pc, which runs fine:
    c:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\bin\DIS51USR.EXE /connect it_reports/password@prod /opendb "Order Shipments" /parameter "From Date" "01-APR-2006" /parameter "To Date" "30-APR-2006" /parameter "Sales Territory" "North America" /export xls "\\docserve\rhonda\Discoverer\DiscovererReporting\SalesReporting\North America\Order Shipments Apr 2006.xls" /batch
    Here's the command line I'm using on the terminal server:
    d:\oracle10g\BIToolsHome_1\bin\DIS51USR.EXE /connect it_reports/password@prod /opendb "Order Shipments" /parameter "From Date" "01-APR-2006" /parameter "To Date" "30-APR-2006" /parameter "Sales Territory" "North America" /export xls "\\docserve\rhonda\Discoverer\DiscovererReporting\SalesReporting\North America\Order Shipments Apr 2006.xls" /batch
    This fails, with the following noted in the log file:
    4/25/2006 1:54:09 PM
    d:\oracle10g\BIToolsHome_1\bin\DIS51USR.EXE /connect it_reports/password@prod /opendb Order Shipments /parameter From Date 01-APR-2006 /parameter To Date 30-APR-2006 /parameter Sales Territory North America /export xls \\docserve\rhonda\Discoverer\DiscovererReporting\SalesReporting\North America\Order Shipments Apr 2006.xls /batch
    Invalid value "From Date" for parameter "01-APR-2006"
    Invalid value "To Date" for parameter "30-APR-2006"
    Invalid value "Sales Territory" for parameter "North America"
    4/25/2006 1:54:10 PM
    I've been trying to figure this out for a couple of days now. Just got my copy of the new Discoverer 10g Handbook in the mail today (great book, by the way!) - I was hoping it would shed some light on this problem, but I'm still stuck. I'm hoping I'm missing something really simple here, and appreciate any help I can get.
    Thanks
    Rhonda

    Hello Ott,
    Yes, I tried that, because that is what the error message indicates. I also tried using single quotes instead of double around the parameter names and/or parameter values, and using no quotes at all. The confusing thing is that the same command works on my pc installation. I have also looked at all the option settings between the 2 installations, and made sure they are the same. The only difference is the operating system - for the life of me I can't figure out why 10g would act any different than 4i installed on the same OS, or for that matter why 10g would act any different installed on XP vs Terminal Server. I've got to be missing something simple here.
    thanks
    Rhonda

  • Command-line -t frameRange wildcard for all frames?

    Greetings,
    Pretty new to Shake and I am trying to get a seemingly simple command-line workflow going. I have a patch of QT files I need to output as DPXs after being deinterlaced. Where I am getting hung up is with the frameRange. It seems it will only render the first frame unless I give a range. Since I don't know how many frames each individual MOV has, I am getting stumpped. Is there a wildcard or some other option for having shake just do the whole thing?
    Here's my command-line:
    *shake -v -fi 0003PU.mov -deinterlace 0 1 -fo 0003PU_DPX/0003PU.#.dpx*
    I have >80 QT files to convert to DPX, it seems a waste of time to have to open each one in the Shake GUI to find out the total frame count for each one. In the GUI it has the "Auto" button which populates the timeRange field with the full range, surely there must be something I can do from the command-line!

    I wish there were such a wildcard! That would make life so easy.
    I did figure out a way to generate Shake scripts automatically,
    including finding the length of the source file. It will take a little
    work: you'll have to learn bash.
    Basically bash is a way of taking a bunch of command lines,
    and combining them into something you can run as a program.
    Here are two excellent resources for learning:
    http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/l-bash.html
    http://www.grymoire.com/Unix/
    These two sites are awesome.
    __________EXAMPLE ONE
    Every bash script includes this line:
    #!/bin/sh
    Then you just start adding UNIX and/or bash commands.
    So copy these two lines into a plain text editor window
    and save them as amnesia.sh
    #!/bin/sh
    whoami
    In Terminal you can run your new program!
    Use cd to navigate to where amnesia.sh is,
    and type
    bash amnesia.sh
    You will be reminded of your identity.
    __________EXAMPLE TWO
    Jumping ahead really quickly, here's a technique for
    making a loop that will call up the name of
    every Quicktime movie in a folder and send
    it to some function in your bash script:
    cd ./folder_containing_movies
    for i in $(find . -name '*.mov');
    do
    my_fi=`basename $i`
    my_function $my_fi
    done
    __________EXAMPLE THREE
    Now we'll define that function: it prints out the name of the movie.
    This part of the script must be above the loop
    from which it is called.
    So here's the complete bash script:
    #!/bin/sh
    my_function ( )
    echo $my_fi
    cd ./folder_containing_movies
    for i in $(find . -name '*.mov');
    do
    my_fi=`basename $i`
    my_function $my_fi
    done
    __________EXAMPLE FOUR
    In order to have shake do something with these movies,
    you could, in the example above, replace
    echo $my_fi
    with
    shake $my_fi
    but then you'd just get the first frame, and you'd
    have to quit each Viewer to see the next movie.
    For normal fully-tweaked dozens-of-nodes Shaking, one would use
    shake -exec my_script.shk
    The problem is that it's difficult (impossible?) to pass variables
    like my_fi into my_script.shk. I was unable to do it--
    probably because I'm just a beginner--
    so I used bash to replace key words in a template,
    scriptTemplate.shk, to write one shake script for each movie.
    To do this, you need to replace parameters in the Shake script
    with words that can be searched and replaced. In your Shake
    template, the FileIn filename can be something like SEDmy_fi.
    In bash you can use the sed command to search and replace
    the expressions in the template:
    sed -e 's/SEDmy_fi/'$my_fi'/g' scriptTemplate.shk > ./scripts_out/${my_fo}.shk
    This does the search and replace, then writes a shake script
    named automatically by my_fo, another variable you've created:
    my_fo=`echo $my_fi | sed 's/.mov/_output/'`
    __________EXAMPLE FIVE
    At this point your head is totally spinning. Don't worry.
    This is not a tutorial; I'm just trying to sketch out
    the broad ideas here. You'll still have to learn bash
    for this to make sense.
    As a special bonus, here's a really useful bash command I stole from Olli
    at vfxtalk.com to get the timerange of a movie using shake -info :
    timerange=`shake ./folder_containing_movies/$my_fi -info 2>&1 | grep Duration | sed 's/info: Duration: //'`
    You could then use $timerange elsewhere in your bash script.
    Hope that helps,
    Les
