[solved] yaourt -Sb [package]: [package] was not found on abs

If I try to build anything from source with yaourt, it says it's not on abs.  However, the packages I am trying to build are in the abs.  For example,
[max@pwn xorg-server]$ yaourt -Sb xorg-server
==> Building xorg-server from sources
xorg-server was not found on abs
xorg-server exists in /var/abs/extra, and the files to build it are there.  What can I do to fix this?

i'l try and have a look at yaourt tonight,
though i'm sure there must be a better way to fix this.
for now, the patch below fixes srcpac,

let me know if works, and then i'll submit it to the bug tracker

1.first thing i just added the line
    ExportToLocalRepository /var/cache/pacman/pkg-local
to the bottom of the yaourtrc file as per the wiki and ended up with the error.
/etc/yaourtrc: line 49: ExportToLocalRepository: command not found
    2.after falconindy's idea i added #
    #ExportToLocalRepository /var/cache/pacman/pkg-local
but now i dont see the error but then package is not getting saved in the pkg-local folder.
3.karol i tried your step, but still the packages are not saved in the pkg-local folder.
this is yaourtrc file after the edits but still packages are not saved....

  • The deployment package file (*.zip) was not found

    Hi,
I was using my Visual Studio Online account and was pushing it to azure. The deployment failed and this was the result:
Exception Message: The deployment package file (*.zip) was not found. Ensure that PackageAsSingleFile msbuild property is not set to False. (type FileNotFoundException)

Does anyone have a possible solution?
I've contacted support and they suggested to turn the website off while deploying but that did not seem to resolve the issue.

photon, you've had quite a few threads now in which you lead those willing to help you down all kinds of useless rabit trails.  Most of the problems have been "solved" with you giving a statement much like this last one that "I forgot to <do some basic step clearly outlined in the instructions>".
We all make silly mistakes from time to time - but if you show a consistent pattern of failing to follow simple instructions, then I doubt arch is for you, and I doubt you will continue to get much leeway from this community.

  • Greetings from a newbie and Error Message re: ' C:\PROGRA~1\palmOne\PACKAG~\NPInstal..dll' was not found.

I just bought a replacement for my beat up E2.  I thought since I was having issues with my old E2, that I would uninstall the older application and then do a clean installation.  While I was in Control Panel and using AD/Remove I might as well remove Package Install.  I figured it would be reinstalled when I used the new CD I received in the E2 package.
Since that time even though I have tried to do a clean installation.  I keep getting the same Error Message:  "The Notifier file 'C:\palmOne\PACKAG~\NPInstal.dll' was not found.  Notifiers are used by Hotsync Manager to inform other applications about synchronizations sessions.  Please check your configuration to correct this problem.  HotSync Manager is skipping over this file."
I have searched for answers in the FAQ and Knowledge Base on the Palm site to no avail.  I also searched on the forums here with no success.  I am new here and I may have missed the thread regarding this issue.  I apologize ahead of time for not finding the answer here if it already has been discussed.
I would greatly appreciate any direction as to where to look or go to find the "missing dll".
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Reply for bluezdude ~~~
I jumped onto the forum because I was having the same problem and was frustrated to tears, kid you not!! So, after searching for the missing dll, and not finding any help here, I just started messing around on my laptop and FINALLY fixed the problem. First of all, I am running WINDOWS XP, not sure about MAC, so provided that you are also on a windows of some sort, this is what you need to do::
    Start
    All Programs
    Accessories
    Program Compatibility Wizard
Once you get here, go through the motions until you get to the program selection list, choose HotSync Manager and before clicking yes, that the problem is fixed, make sure you hotsync first to ensure that it works properly. Then you can click yes, and finish. I hope this helps~

  • Package javax.mail not found in import.

    hi,
i am trying to develop a mail application using jsp, i have jaf1.0.1 and javamail API and the application was working fine on weblogic but when i tried to do the same thing on Apache server the Package javax.mail not found in import. is occuring,
What could be the problem can any one explain...
    Thanks

I think you have not placed mail.jar and activation.jar files in the /jre/lib/ext directory. Just place the mail.jar and activation.jar files in the jdk's /jre/lib/ext directory and check out. This will work for you.

treat .properties files just like a class file :)
if /classes/ is in your classpath and in that directory you have an x.properties file then:
    ResouceBundle.getBundle("x");
    will return it...
if the x.properties file is in the /classes/com/company/props/ directory then this will act like a package name and
    ResouceBundle.getBundle("com.company.props.x");
    will return it ;)

  • Package javax.swing not found in import!

I recently installed JDK 1.3.1_02 on WinNT4.0 and I cannot compile javax
packages without getting the following error:
Package javax.swing not found in import
I've tried every combination of modifying the CLASSPATH system variable
I can think of. I have no problem compiling java packages but not
javax packages. I followed the installation instructions to the letter.
What am I missing? Surely someone is running the same version of
the JDK I am on WinNT 4.0.

Thanks again!!! I had an older version of javac running on my system any time I ran
outside of the bin where the latest javac was installed. I removed the older version
of the jdk and now I can compile from any directory. I really appreciate the help,
    I was wracking my brain.
By the way, -version is not a valid flag for javac.exe, although it is for java.exe.

  • Package javax.servlet not found error

package javax.servlet not found error. how it can be solved.
plz help this is my first servlet program.
    vipin

You need a jar file that has in it the javax.servlet.* classes
It should be distributed with your servlet/jsp server.
It can normally be found in a /lib directory under the installation.
    Some examples:
    Tomcat4: install_dir\common\lib\servlet.jar
    Tomcat5: install_dir\common\lib\servlet-api.jar; install_dir\common\lib\jsp-api.jar
    J2sdkee: install_dir/lib/j2ee.jar
You need to include this jar file in your classpath when you compile any servlet.

  • Package javax.ejb not found error

    Hi there,
I've downloaded j2se 1.4 and j2ee 1.3.1 and installed it on Windows XP. I set the environment variables as described. When I compile a .java file that imports the javax.ejb.* package, then I get an error "package javax.ejb not found". I feel like an idiot and I know it's something to do with the environment variables. (or just XP, most likely)
    Thanks in advance
    Hoenner

How are you compiling your source? If you're using an IDE then you should edit your project classpath to include the j2ee.jar file (it'll probably be in the lib directory of your J2EE installation).
If you're doing it from the command line then type in SET CLASSPATH, look at the classpath it returns and check that it includes the j2ee.jar file.
    Hope this helps.

  • An eligible iPhoto application was not found in the location /Applications.

    Hi,
I have a Mac OS X version 10.5.6. Recently my computer encountered a serious hardware problem and everything had to be reinstalled. Thankfully, I was able to salvage all of my files. When I reopened iPhoto however, it appeared as iPhoto v6.0.6. Previously I am very sure I had version 7 or later. Now when I want to upgrade my iPhoto a screen appears with that message
"An eligible iPhoto application was not found in the location /Applications."
I've been to nearly every forum to try and solve my problem but it still doesn't work. I'd appreciate any help I can get and apologize if communication-wise, my computing knowledge/terms are slightly limited.
    Thanks.

If you had iPhoto 7 then you should have the disks that it came on. Download and run Pacifist on the disks that came with your computer to see what version of iPhoto is available. If it's V6 the you're getting the message because the database is damaged.
If that's the case about the only recourse I can think of is to try the following:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Open the library package like this.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.
The original library will still be available for further attempts at recovery.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Now that the error is solved, when I test nothing happens. I just get a blank screen.
What is supposed to happen? When the program opens a splash screen should be added for 3 seconds and then fade out. Then some main screen movie clips should be added to the stage.

  • Bridge CS3 (Windows XP) fails to start because Symlib.dll was not found

Bridge CS3 (Windows XP) fails to start because Symlib.dll was not found? How do I fix this? I've re-installed and the auto updater has run...I even downloaded and ran the patcher application? By the way Bridge CS3 doesn't show up in the CS3 program list in the start menu but it is installed in my program files - I've tried launching it directly from there as well. Bridge CS2 is operating just fine.
Update: I installed and ran the Adobe Support Advisor, resulting in - Issues: "The module found no solutions to report for the selected log file."
I tried to package the report and the error read: "The size of the package is too large to be handled with the current configuration! Please contact Adobe Support for additional information."
I opened a web based report/case number at the Adobe Support Portal about the missing Symlib.dll (including the Adobe Support Advisor error). Their response was: We regret to inform you that complimentary support for your product is not available and/or has expired.

Did Bridge work before? If so, reset preferences by holding down the Ctrl key when starting Bridge. If successful you will get a Reset Window, choose all 3 options.
