  • Inspection of method calls to perfom some additional task.

    ClassA.meth() is called by both ClassB.meth() and ClassC.meth() seperately to perform some piece of work.

    Thanks For the Prompt reply.
    This is just a thought that crossed my mind.
    Well inspecting the stack will give me the details of the Class currently loaded on the stack..
    But, is it possible to point out which method in the loaded class called the method.
    I mean is it possible to inspect the call's route exactly.
    I am sure it should be, but i am not able to find it how to implement this using java code.
    Any pointers..

  • Some Outlook tasks only showing up in Outlook Web App, even if they were entered in Outlook 2013 or on the iOS email client.

    A user creates tasks in Outlook 2013, his Exchange email account on his iPhone and in the Outlook Web App (Not Outlook.com). A small number of these tasks will only show up in the Outlook Web App, though, no matter which platform he entered the
    task from. He can enter a task in Outlook 2013 and it might not show up on the task list in Outlook 2013 or IOS after that, but WILL show up in the outlook Web App task list.
    At first I thought sorting was the issue, but we compared all tasks in both Outlook 2013 and OWA, sorted by due date, and, sure enough, some were missing from 2013.
    What I am not sure of:
    If/how long a task will be visible on the platform it was submitted before it begins only appearing in OWA.
    How long ago this started
    I couldn't find this issue in the community or with a quick google search.
    I am going to see when he is available to sit down and go through tasks to see if there is a pattern and try replicate it so I can see how long it might be available on the submitting platform before disappearing.
    I can provide any other info needed. Thoughts on this issue?

    Hi,
    I would suggest you reset the view if you found some tasks in Outlook missing.
    VIEW tab -> Reset View.
    Or we can simply start Outlook with the switch "/cleanviews"(Restores default views. All custom views that you created are lost):
    Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /cleanviews” in the blank box, then press Enter.
    Check if this helps you find the missing tasks.

  • Performing some common tasks with LR is just... a joke

    I'm a big fan of Lightroom, I use it as my main workflow application, I even wrote detailled reviews on some european websites, etc...
    But I can't get some of its basic features. Using LR as an image viewer and e-mailing is really a joke.
    Preparing and converting 10 CR2 files to 1024 x 768 @ 90 % quality for e-mail takes about 2 - 2 1/2 minutes on my machine.
    Doing the same thing ( plus adding frame and shadow ! ) with Faststone Viewer - which is free - takes exactly 10 seconds, yes, 10 seconds on the same machine.
    Don't get me wrong, LR is probably the best thing released for photographers since a while but, for some parts of it, I just don't get it.
    I wish I could perform basic & common tasks within Lightroom, which is simply not possible.
    Gilles.

    Back to the original subject.
    Yes, I know that LR has to render pictures and Faststone uses only embedded previews from raw file. But I think most of you didn't get what I try to explain. Let's start again :
    - Faststone is very fast at preparing attachments for e-mails, from ANY type of image files ( raw, TIFF, JPEG, whatever ).
    - Faststone does the same with edited images, quick and easy ( so the comments about the embedded raw files which helps Faststone to create quick attachments have no value, not at all ).
    - Faststone resizes on the fly, including batch images, and has a scroll menu to select standard sizes ( 1024 x 768, 800 x 600, etc... ).
    - Faststone always let you know the dimensions AND the size of the output file. With Lightroom, while using the JPEG compression slider, you have to guess the file size and expect it not to be too heavy.
    - Faststone knows your default email client. Lightroom doesn't.Lightroom requires to put shortcuts in folders, bla-bla-bla... or to install an extra program - GREAT.
    Why are those common sense stuff and functions not part of Lightroom ? Having to guess the output size of my jpeg files just goes beyond me. In my company, the max attachment size is 5 MB. With faststone, I can easily control that. With Lightroom, not at all.I guess that, in 2007, emailing is still a major communication system.
    Now coming back to thumbnails viewing : I want to have the same speed and ease of use as BreezeBrowser of Faststone. Period.
    Gilles.

  • Automating some repetitive tasks

    Hello, I'm looking for an Acrobat plug-in or script that will allow me automate _some_ of the repetitive tasks that I do.
    For multi-sheet document, I need to:
    1) extract each page as separate file with each open in its own window
    2) crop image
    3) close window
    4) dialog will prompt me to enter filename for it (Note: default filename will usually start with the text "Pages from ... ")
    5) repeat until end.
    I'd like to automate step 1, 3 (maybe?), and 5, while I manually specify the crop boundary (2) and type in its filename (4).
    Thanks,
    Devin

    Yep, I'll be testing this thoroughly!
    But if it passes all my rigorous tests :D then that's one big issue taken care of and I believe a good enhancement to anyone's Apex skills.
    I'll report back with my findings!
    Edit: the export looks fine to my untrained eye, so maybe I'll try it out with my application (so far I only tested on my laptop test Apex installation)
    Haven't tested the text messages script yet, just the application items, but I figure it should be no different.

  • After recent windows updates, some users' task bar disappears

    Hello,
    I have just installed a number of updates to my LAN via WSUS.
    After these updates were installed on the WIN 7 workstations, some of the users are reporting that their taskbar is missing.
    Once they reboot, it comes back up, and after a couple days go by, it disappears again.
    Has anyone else seen this issue with the recent updates?
    Is there a hotfix for this other than rebooting?

    Hi,
    Sorry for the late reply.
    When this issue occurred, please check the event viewer to see if there is any error information about this problem.
    Also, check this following registry path to make sure winlogon launch Windows Shell:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    Shell = “explorer.exe”
    UserInit = “userinit.exe”
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    Shell = “explorer.exe”
    UserInit = “userinit.exe”
    We can try to install the hotfix to update the related file to check how it works:
    The Taskbar is reset to the default settings when you use the "Automatically Log On" feature in Windows 7 and in Windows Server 2008 R2

  • Assigning Business Roles - No such task exists

    I am trying to create a user ID and assign a Business Role in the process.  The attribute that I am using is MXREF_MX_ROLE.  It is defined as a multivalue system attribute with a data type of entry reference and the reference type in MX_ROLE.
    From my workflow task, I can select the role from the selection window but when I click OK to save to the identity store, I get an error "You have tampered with the params".  From the Monitor UI, I see the message "Failed setting value for attribute Member of Role.  No such task exists"
    I have a Modify User task that uses the same attribute.  When I attempt to use it, I get the "Failed setting value for attribute Member of Role.  No such task exists".  But I do not get the "you have tampered with the params" message.
    I am only trying to set this in the identity store right now.  I am not yet ready to provision to my ABAP system.
    Any assistance is appreciated.

    Hi Lori,
    in case you have linked privileges to your role, SAP NW IdM searches for tasks in the related repository (as stated in the attribute MX_REPOSITORYNAME of your privileges). Type in the ID of some test tasks in the repository constants MX_DEPROVISIONTASK, MX_PROVISIONTASK and MX_MODIFYTASK and see if it works.
    Otherwise, there could be a missing relation the other way round from the role to the user. See if there is a MXMEMBER_MX_PERSON attribute in your role.
    Best regards,
    Nils

  • How can I delete local schedule tasks, if they do not show up in the left ARD pain

    In ARD you can schedule task on the local machine.
    Usually you can see the scheduled task in the left pain of the main window.
    I deleated some schedules tasks, but the tasks continue excute every morning.
    Is the a way to find these invisable scheduled tasks and remove them.
    I would be happy to know if a data base needs to be edited or a file deleated
    Cheers

    what dose the invisible task do?

  • Closing tasks

    I have set up some new task statuses and set up the transitions. However, after settiing the task status to one of the new ones, when i try and save the change, i get the message 'For closing task, assignment should have Cancelled, Closed, Completed OR Rejected status.'. The new ones are to do with closed tasks and have the closed box ticked in the setup.
    Am i missing something?
    Thanks
    Trevor

    You are moving the Task to CLOSED status. The message states that when the Task is moved to CLOSED, the Task Assignment should have already been CANCELLED / CLOSED / COMPLETED / REJECTED.
    So, close your task-assignment before closing the task.

  • How to use a menu model with a dynamic region and a task flow parameter

    I am using JDeveloper/ADF 11.1.2.1
    I have a menu model that changes which task flow is displayed in a given dynamic region using a backing bean. That works fine. I would like to be able to pass parameters to that task flow based on which menu item is clicked. For example: i have a task flow which shows a page where input fields are used to filter a table. Depending on the value of the task flow parameter I want to change which input fields are displayed. So i will have multiple menu items which refer to the same task flow but have a different set of parameters. I have tried using request scope variables and setting them in the backing bean for the dynamic region which works until the query is submitted at which point the request scope has changed and the value is no longer available. I have tried a number of other 'creative' approaches but have not gotten anything to work. Anyone done this before? Or have an idea on how to solve it?

    Frank,
    I did a fair bit of digging based on your suggestions and some things I found in your Oracle Fusion Developer's Guide book and I came up with something that works really well. It is fairly elegant but requires code. It would be nice if something like a setPropertyListener could be rolled into the menu model. That would make my solution completely declarative.
    Here is my solution:
    My task flow requires a the value #{pageFlowScope.type} to be set. My application has a dynamic region that is changed on the fly using a menu model. The region uses a backing bean (mainRegionManagerBean) which is in the viewScope to manage what taskflow is shown in the region. There are multiple menu items in the menu model that point to the same task flow but pass different values to the #{pageFlowScope.type} parameter. So i wired the menu items up to different methods in the mainRegionManagerBean which set the value for me. See the relevant code below.
    I would be very interested in the feedback from someone with more experience than I on my solution. Maybe there is a more elegant way...
    In the backing bean there is a primary method that was created by generating a dynamic region link which sets the task flow id and then other methods which call it and set the relevant parameters. (JSFUtils is a helper class i wrote to centralize some common tasks):
    public String shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow()
    taskFlowId = "/WEB-INF/taskflow/master/shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow.xml#shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow";
    JSFUtils.setValue("pageFlowScope.type", "");
    return null;
    public String shipmentTraceProNumber()
    shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow();
    JSFUtils.setValue("pageFlowScope.type", "pronumber");
    return null;
    public String shipmentTraceBOLNumber()
    shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow();
    JSFUtils.setValue("pageFlowScope.type", "bolnumber");
    return null;
    In the menu model (notice that these reference the different methods from above):
    <itemNode id="itemNode_ProNumberTrace" label="ProNumber Trace" action="#{viewScope.mainRegionManagerBean.shipmentTraceProNumber}" focusViewId=""/>
    <itemNode id="itemNode_BOLNumberTrace" label="BOL Number Trace" action="#{viewScope.mainRegionManagerBean.shipmentTraceBOLNumber}" focusViewId=""/>
    On the page:
    <af:region value="#{bindings.dynamicRegion1.regionModel}" id="r1"/>
    In the pagedef:
    <taskFlow id="dynamicRegion1" taskFlowId="${viewScope.mainRegionManagerBean.dynamicTaskFlowId}" activation="deferred" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/binding" Refresh="ifNeeded">
    <parameters>
    <parameter id="type" value="#{pageFlowScope.type}"/>
    </parameters>
    </taskFlow>

  • My Tasks View in my custom task list fails to display the tasks assigned to me (that is the currently logged in user)

    Hi
    I am new to sharepoint 2010.
    I created a custom task list, where I  have many tasks assigned to users (I had tasks assigned to me as well). I created a view as "My tasks "and having a filter as Assigned To is equal to [Me]. When I do that my view fails to show the
    tasks assigned to me. This happens same with the Sharepoints 'My Tasks' view as well. I tested by creating some test tasks under my name and when I selected 'My Tasks' view no tasks are getting displayed.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Gokulkumar.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display the tasks assigned the current logged in user.
    In my environment, if I used the System Account, My Task view didn’t display any tasks.
    However , if I used other users except the System Account, My Task view could display current user tasks correctly.
    I recommend to use other accounts except System Account to log in site. Then everything will work well.
    Thank you for your understanding.

  • In human task, dynamically assign group doesn't work

    Oracle SOA 11.1.1.4
    My bpel process invokes a human task.
    On the human task Assignment tab, I assigned 3 users (by name), 1 group (by expression).
    The group is configured in LDAP
    When I tested the bpel process, I entered the group and other data required.
    From the worklist app, I see the task listed. It is assigned to the 3 users, but not the dynamically passed-in group.
    From the Audit trail, I saw all data I entered (include the group). Everything seems correct, but I still can’t make the dynamically-pass-group work.
    If I assign the group by name in human task, it works fine.
    The problem is: dynamically assign group doesn't work.
    Please kindly advice.

    Yes, it is possible assign a group as participant of some human task, passing the group name as parameter.
    I have tested just now.
    It works pretty well in SOA 11.1.1.4 (BPEL or BPM).
    Make sure add a data parameter in your human task definition and pass a valid group name to it.
    At the Assignment tab, in the participants' list, add a group, data type by expression, and set the value to the right xpath expression to the corresponding parameter.
    For example: /task:task/task:payload/task:group
    If it is not working look the SOA log files, probably you'll find some information about the error there. Maybe there is some problem with your jazn.com configuration.
    You can also test if there is something wrong related to the group name, trying to transfer some task to the same group by the worklist.
