Some of my music downloads from the istore are only playing half the song. why is that happening?

how can I correct this problem? In fact I have even paid for them twice and they still play only half the song.

If they just delete iTunes, the music files should still be there. I suggest making a backup of them though. Locate your iTunes folder (The one that contains your library file) and just copy the whole thing to your Documents folder or wherever you like (Just not in the same directory of the original folder otherwise the computer will get confused and could confuse your iTunes library). Then you will have a backup of all your music, plus if you purchased it from iTunes, you will still have it linked to your Apple ID so you can re-download them to any computer with iTunes on it when you feel like it.

Why can I not find my music that I download from the iTunes Store or that was ripped from a cd in my library

I have bought several music from iTunes and now I cannot find them in my library. The same goes for music that I have ripped from my cds. What gives?! Why doesn't the music stay in the iTunes library like it does in Windows Media. There is music that I cannot get again and this is not acceptable.

Your iPod can only be synced with one iTunes library at a time. If you try connecting the iPod to a new iTunes library or PC, you won't be able to add any new content to it until you choose the Erase and Sync option that you are prompted with when you plug it in or restore the iPod if that option doesn't appear.
If you have content on your iPod that needs to be copied back over to your iPod, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different ways to you can recover these contents and moved them back over to your iTunes library.

Every time I try and burn a music CD from the songs in my library I get an error message (-3) and it says the disc failed to burn. Why?

I am trying to burn a CD from some of the tunes in my library. I successfully burned 3 CDs from my playlist. However, I am trying to finish up and burn the rest of my playlist, but when I insert a blank CD it says it's canceling the burn and says it failed, error message (-3). Can anyone help? I have already tried to restart my computer but to no avail.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases

Purchased music does not count against your iCloud storage and you cannot get rid of them in the purchased tab.
What is backed up

Notes: Backup of purchased music is not available in all countries. Backups of purchased movies and TV shows are U.S. only. Previous purchases may not be restored if they are no longer in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore.

These movies will indicate that they are not available in iTunes in the Cloud on their product details page in the iTunes Store. How do I download previous music purchases from the Cloud to my Macbook Pro?

I recently purchased my first Apple computer, but have been a longtime iPod user, and as of this past February an iPhone user. So upon getting my new Macbook Pro, I of course began to sync what songs I had purchased from iTunes on my old Windows computers, and iPod and iPhone, that were supposed to be stored in the Cloud. Well, as I've been importing all the physical CD's i own, I began to notice that some of my iTunes purchases hadnt downloaded from the Cloud. So now I've gone through my iPod to see what songs are missing and which aren't. I know now that I am missing two full albums, as well as what I think is another 25+ single songs I've downloaded, and unfortuantely I cannot figure out how to retrieve them for the life of me. I'm very frustrated that all my purchases didnt show up from the Cloud in the first place! Any help?

Hello, I have songs that show they are "Waiting" for download from the cloud but they are greyed out. Some songs in one album are done others in the same album will not download. It is not a time function because i have been working on this for weeks. I have allowed my compter to run for days and the songs are still not accessible. I have a Match subscription and Match is working. If I click on the "Genre" link the greyed out songs show that they are ready for download from the cloud but I cannot download them. I have downloaded over 1500 other songs, so I am trying to understand what is going on here. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

The entire DVD containing Quick Time movies (Final CutExpress project) and slideshow was done in iPhoto. The Final Cut project was rendered prior to export to QT, the slideshow was sent to iDVD withoutrendering. The slideshow with most of the pictures from my still camera incombination with stills from movie clips and some downloaded from the Internet.After burning, the movie playback is perfect but the slideshow is not. The slideshow containing 3 differentkinds of pictures; those from my still camera looks OK; the stills from themovie clips and from the Internet are not. I don’t have much knowledge in this game, but I think NTSCwith frame size 720x480, and the downloaded picture Item Property shows most ofthem are between 400 to 500 x 300 to 600, may be both of them are not suitablefor TV screen while the stills from my still camera looks OK because they are2048x1536. Thanks but I already did read all of the help notes, which aren't very helpful for this. I did find out the problem- Apple.....they evidently changed one of the major upsides to their old software- being able to back up your entire library onto dvd's- so you can longer do that or restore from the dvds created from older versions of itunes. I suspect greed is at play in that Apple now wants you to pay $24.95 per year to use a "cloud" service where they back it up for you. I can buy a lifetime supply of back up dvds for one year's worth of cloud. So I am now looking into other music software as I am Appled-out. There is no reason for them to take away the back up portion of the software other than to sell you thrir cloud service. As we have already given them a ton of money for 5 Ipods and a bunch of music, I think we have contributed enough. Time to look to solutions outside of the Apple money tree. But thank you for reading and replying.

You can, but you will have to create a new version of the songs that you download from the store (they will be in .m4a format from the store which your MP3 player won't support).
After downloading a song, go into iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) and on the General tab click the 'Import Settings' button and on the next screen change the 'import using' to 'MP3 encoder' (or one of the other options if your MP3 player supports it). To create a MP3 version of your downloaded song(s), select/highlight them in the Music part of your iTunes library, control-click, and on the popup select 'create MP3 version' (the 'MP3' will change depending upon what you've selected as the type on 'import settings' options).

You should then be able to copy the music to your MP3 player in the same way as you normally do.
