Where to get ADF Sample Applications with Documentation.
Hi All,
I am new to ADF.I have followed oracle tutorials to learn ADF.
Now I am looking for some sample applications with documentation so I can build some applications in ADF.I did one procurement application using following link.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/13088674/Oracle-ADF-11g-Learning-Application-My-Procurement-Application
Also I got one more application from Baig's Blog.But documentation is not there.
http://baigsorcl.blogspot.com/2010/07/sample-code-quiz-application-in-oracle.html
I will be very thankful if you provide me the documentation of Baig's application or some other applications with documentation.

Hi.
I have just downloaded some sample applications from the link below.
How can i import the project i studio creator to see the application code.
Thanks in advance.
http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/code/sampleapps/index.html?cid=113310This should be fairly straightforward, since these samples are supplied by the Creator development team itself. Simply download and unzipthe sample project files into your Creator projects directory. The default path that is set up at install time is (WinXP):
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\My Documents\Creator\Projects
If you specified a different project directory path, it will look something like:
<Your specified directory path>\Creator\Projects
You can verify your Creator project path by launching the IDE and selecting "File->Open Project" from the IDE menu bar.
When you extract the project files from the .zip, be sure to check "use folder names" so that you end up with:
...\Creator\Projects\<Downloaded Project Name>\<Project Files and Subdirectories>
Then just select "File->Open Project" from the IDE menu bar to open the project.
Hope that is what you were looking for. -

SSO java sample application problem
Hi all,
I am trying to run the SSO java sample application, but am experiencing a problem:
When I request the papp.jsp page I end up in an infinte loop, caught between papp.jsp and ssosignon.jsp.
An earlier thread in this forum discussed the same problem, guessing that the cookie handling was the problem. This thread recommended a particlar servlet , ShowCookie, for inspecting the cookies for the current session.
I have installed this cookie on the server, but don't see anything but one cookie, JSESSIONID.
At present I am running the jsp sample app on a Tomcat server, while Oracle 9iAS with sso and portal is running on another machine on the LAN.
The configuration of the SSO sample application is as follows:
Cut from SSOEnablerJspBean.java:
// Listener token for this partner application name
private static String m_listenerToken = "wmli007251:8080";
// Partner application session cookie name
private static String m_cookieName = "SSO_PAPP_JSP_ID";
// Partner application session domain
private static String m_cookieDomain = "wmli007251:8080/";
// Partner application session path scope
private static String m_cookiePath = "/";
// Host name of the database
private static String m_dbHostName = "wmsi001370";
// Port for database
private static String m_dbPort = "1521";
// Sehema name
private static String m_dbSchemaName = "testpartnerapp";
// Schema password
private static String m_dbSchemaPasswd = "testpartnerapp";
// Database SID name
private static String m_dbSID = "IASDB.WMDATA.DK";
// Requested URL (User requested page)
private static String m_requestUrl = "http://wmli007251:8080/testsso/papp.jsp";
// Cancel URL(Home page for this application which don't require authentication)
private static String m_cancelUrl = "http://wmli007251:8080/testsso/fejl.html";
Values specified in the Oracle Portal partner app administration page:
ID: 1326
Token: O87JOE971326
Encryption key: 67854625C8B9BE96
Logon-URL: http://wmsi001370:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
single signoff-URL: http://wmsi001370:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_logout
Name: testsso
Start-URL: http://wmli007251:8080/testsso/
Succes-URL: http://wmli007251:8080/testsso/ssosignon.jsp
Log off-URL: http://wmli007251:8080/testsso/papplogoff.jsp
Finally I have specified the cookie version to be v1.0 when running the regapp.sql script. Other parameters for this script are copied from the values specified above.
Unfortunately the discussion in the earlier thread did not go any further but to recognize the cookieproblem, so I am now looking for help to move further on from here.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
/MadsPierre - When you work on the sample application, you should test the pages in a separate browser instance. Don't use the Run Page links from the Builder. The sample app has a different authentication scheme from that used in the development environment so it'll work better for you to use a separate development browser from the application testing browser. In the testing browser, to request the page you just modified, login to the application, then change the page ID in the URL. Then put some navigation controls into the application so you can run your page more easily by clicking links from other pages.

Sample application using the Eclipse BIRT schema
<p>Somaco have produced a sample application based upon the Eclipse BIRT example schema (customers, orders, products, etc). Hopefully this will be of some use to new-to-Spring developers looking for other example applications and sample applications.</p>
<p>So far we're tested/run the sample application on Tomcat, using JOTM transactions against the MySQL version of the BIRT schema. We'd like to (a) offer the sample application to those Weblogic users looking for sample applications (other than petstore), and (b) get some feedback on the sample application from Weblogic users - both for the deployment and for the app itself.</p>
<p>
The sample application uses the following Spring MVC Framework features:</p>
<ul>
<li>Various Spring controllers including: SimpleFormController, AbstractWizardFormController, and MultiActionController.</li>
<li>Validation and Custom Editors (including a CustomTimestampEditor for java.sql.Timestamp fields).</li>
<li>Clearly tiered application design with web, application and persistence tiers.</li>
<li>Ibatis/DB persistence tier using result maps, correlated result maps, dynamic and iterative map definitions.</li>
<li>Simple QBE on text fields.</li>
<li>Externalised messages (for i18n/l10n).</li>
<li>WAI-friendly page structure (e.g. CSS2 styling, use of divs, not tables).</li>
<li>Declarative JOTM transactions.</li>
</ul>
<p>The sample application was created using the Somaco Software Production service.</p>
<p>Follow the link from the Somaco home page to download the application (~4.1 MB).</p>
<p>No registration required. Feedback would be appreciated. Enjoy.</p>

Sample application not working
hi,
i am a newbie to javawebstart.. i have 2 questions
1) i downloaded the sample application from the net
( http://java.sun.com/developer/releases/javawebstart/) and was trying the "LibInstaller" sample.. i have been able to run step 1 (ant main : creates intially war file) and step 2(keystore and signing)... but step 3 seems to have some problem..i try to make the war file using command jar -cvf ../Libinstaller.war but get this error message:
C:\javawebstart\webstart_examples\Libinstaller\war>jar -cvf C:\javawebstart\webs
tart_examples\Libinstaller\Libinstaller.war
'c' flag requires that input files be specified!
Usage: jar {ctxu}[vfm0Mi] [jar-file] [manifest-file] [-C dir] files ...
Options:
-c create new archive
i don't know which option i should be using because it just seems to overwrite the previous unsigned war file and is empty (1KB only) .. and by the way which of the samples given is working ok if the steps in the readme is followed accordingly??
2) Another question is if i want to deploy an application using webstart, for e.g can i just replace the inst.jar file by my "source.jar" file and rename to inst.jar (for a start so that i don't have to change the inst.java file initially) and change the inst.jnlp (application desc main to specify the main class)???
Thanks in advance..hi,
issue 1 has been resolved. the sample program is working fine.. just missed '.' in step 3 during war file creation.
as for issue 2, i require my swing application to be updated automatically at the client end if a new version is available at the server side. so i am thinking of using java webstart to check whether a recent source.jar file is available. so for a start, what i am trying is to replace the inst.jar file by my source.jar file in the sample application.... renaming it to inst.jar file and changing the inst.jnlp to indicate the mainclass.. any suggestions..
thanx.. -
Sample application of Flex using java
Can anybody tell or send any URL regarding sample applcation i.e.
developed using Flex and java
I am confused abt web.xml
means how to integrate that flex application.Thx Dear,
At least I got some reply from someone.
Actually I m trying to search it but not getting any help.
My prob is.
I want to develop sample application using Flex and Spring framework.
Let say there is form called
Employee.mxml & there are 2 text boxes for username & password .I want to read values entered by user in these text boxes from flex form using Spring framework.
so can u send me any URL sothat i can get help for this.
Please help me ASAP. -
I am following the guide to construct pages.
My problem is that i just create a page in the sample appliction and
i want to run it but when i click the run page
icon the page is not run. A user/password screen appear,
and then i am sent to the main form of the demo application.
Not the page i just build and want to test.
Should i have to mmodify the login screen to point to
my page?
Where is located the name of the first form in the login screen? I just cant find it
Regards,
PierrePierre - When you work on the sample application, you should test the pages in a separate browser instance.

Attn: Installing the Sample Applications from the ifs Development Kit
There are a number of problems with the sample Applications included in the
Developer's kit. These need to manually fixed in order to get the demos to work.
#1: Solaris Only
The install of the iFS Development Kit, replaces the existing adk.jar with a new
one containing some additional classes. Unfortunately the install process does not
set the correct privileges on the new version of adk.jar. Please ensure that the
file $ORACLE_HOME/ifs/lib/adk.jar is world readable.
Bug # 1304730
This issue will be resolved on the next drop of the Oracle Internet File System
development kit.
#2: Generic
There is a problem with the way in which the login.jsp establishes a connection to
the repository. The current code makes incorrect assumptions about the name of the
iFS Service and the schema password.
The following changes are required.
In order to connect to the repository 4 pieces of information are required.
1. The iFS User Name
2. The iFS User's password
3. The properties file to be used
4. The database password of the user who owns the iFS Schema
The Login.jsp needs to be altered so that it requests these four arguments before
attempting to establish a connection to the repository.
(The current version only requests username and password).
All four arguments need to be provided as arguments to the login method on the
underlying JavaBean that the JSP invokes when it want to open a connection
to the repository.

#3. Making the BaseRendererClass available to the Protocol Servers
Note this step is not required if you have the 1.0.8.3 patch set installed.
Install the BaseRenderer Class. The BaseRenderer class is delivered in the jar file
ifsdevkit.jar and can be used to simplify the task of creating a custom renderer.
Unfortunately the jar file containing this class is not referenced in any of the Classpaths
used by the iFS protocol servers. This means that they will not be able to load any
customer renderers that extend BaseRenderer. In order to make BaseRenderer available
to the Protocol Servers it need to be placed in the appropriate directory under
<ORACLE_HOME>/ifs/custom_classes.
Extract the class from the ifsdevkit.jar.
ifsdevkit.jar is located in <ORACLE_HOME>/ifs/lib after the devkit has been installed.
jar -xvf ifsdevkit.jar
extracted: META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
extracted: BaseRenderer.class
Create the following directory heirachy in <ORACLE_HOME>/ifs/custom classes
oracle/ifs/server/renderers
Copy <ORACLE_HOME>/ifs/lib/BaseRenderer.class to
<ORACLE_HOME/ifs/custom_classes/oracle/ifs/server/renderers
That should do it.

Magesh,
As I already posted, you need a C compiler installed.buildclient
merely invoke the system compiler.

Three steps to solve this problem:
1. Set the LANG environment variable: set LANG=English_United
States.1252;
2. In the tuxedo directory Tuxedo\locale, make a new directory named
English_United States.1252;
3. Copy all files in diirectory Tuxedo\locale\C into the newdirectory.

BPM Simple Sample Application Error!!!
hi,
i have some problems with the bpm simple sample applications on our local sap nw ce system (7.1 ehp1 sp0)?
on the esworkplace i have download the *.sca file and have import this file into my nwds.
i following the simple sample documentation an define and configure the ERP and ERP_META Destinations on the nwds and our local sap nw ce system.
also i do the future steps which was described (service registry, proxy settings, ...).
on page 16 of the simple sample documetation is defined which Sofware Component has dependencies to other SC´s.
the SC "BPEM_BUILDT" depends on the SC "ESMP_BUILDT" and "COMP_BUILDT", the SC "COMP_BUILT" doesnt exist on my nwds (7.1 ehp1 sp0).
has everybody any idea why the SC "COMP_BUILT" not exist on my nwds???
still this absent SC i can deploy the bpm simple sample successful to our sap nw ce system.
now i do the post deployment steps for the bpm samples.
after this i call the simple sample application on my sap nw ce portal and can execute the "Initiate Equipment Phase In Process".
now i can see a new entry on my uwl, i open the uwl task.
at step 1, 2, 3 i change no data an click next, after step 3 (create equipment) i get the following error:
com.sap.esi.esp.service.server.query.discovery.ExtendedServiceException: no endpoints found for interface <br>

now i test the endpoint with the following data:
