Sample application of Flex using java

Can anybody tell or send any URL regarding sample applcation i.e.
developed using Flex and java
I am confused abt web.xml
means how to integrate that flex application.

We have installed Tuxedo 8.0 on Sun 8.0 and using gcc 3.1 for compilation.
While compiling Tuxedo sample application, we are receiving an error gcc: language
arch=v9 not recognized
Are we supposed to do something more to be able to use gcc for compiling Tuxedo
sample application.

try turning off the language specification using -x none option.
see gcc documentation for this option.

Sample application using the Eclipse BIRT schema

Somaco have produced a sample application based upon the Eclipse BIRT example schema (customers, orders, products, etc). Hopefully this will be of some use to new-to-Spring developers looking for other example applications and sample applications.
So far we're tested/run the sample application on Tomcat, using JOTM transactions against the MySQL version of the BIRT schema. We'd like to (a) offer the sample application to those Weblogic users looking for sample applications (other than petstore), and (b) get some feedback on the sample application from Weblogic users - both for the deployment and for the app itself.

The sample application uses the following Spring MVC Framework features:
<ul>
<li>Various Spring controllers including: SimpleFormController, AbstractWizardFormController, and MultiActionController.</li>
<li>Validation and Custom Editors (including a CustomTimestampEditor for java.sql.Timestamp fields).</li>
<li>Clearly tiered application design with web, application and persistence tiers.</li>
<li>Ibatis/DB persistence tier using result maps, correlated result maps, dynamic and iterative map definitions.</li>
<li>Simple QBE on text fields.</li>
<li>Externalised messages (for i18n/l10n).</li>

Getting error while running TutWD_FlightBooking_Init sample application

Hello,
I have downloaded TutWD_FlightBooking_Init.zip and Handling Transactions with BAPIs in Web Dynpro.pdf document and created a WebDynpro sample application.
I have deployed it in WAS6.40 SP9 and created appropriate JCo connections and these JCo connections are working fine.
While accessing application from browser it gives me following error.

In this sample application I am using following detinations
1- WD_FLIGHTBOOKING_MODELDATA_DEST
2- WD_FLIGHTBOOKING_RFC_METADATA_DEST
When I am going through the Web Dynpro Content Administrator and looking inside my application local/TutWD_FlightBooking_Init -> Applications -> FlightBookingApp -> JCo Connections, it shows these two destination.

Are you using Flash Builder to build your application?
Definitely you could connect to web services from flex .
May be in your case, expose the JAVA class as web services using AXIS(may be) and access it as shown below:

SSO java sample application problem

I am trying to run the SSO java sample application, but am experiencing a problem:
When I request the papp.jsp page I end up in an infinte loop, caught between papp.jsp and ssosignon.jsp.
An earlier thread in this forum discussed the same problem, guessing that the cookie handling was the problem. This thread recommended a particlar servlet , ShowCookie, for inspecting the cookies for the current session.
I have installed this cookie on the server, but don't see anything but one cookie, JSESSIONID.
At present I am running the jsp sample app on a Tomcat server, while Oracle 9iAS with sso and portal is running on another machine on the LAN.
The configuration of the SSO sample application is as follows:

Pierre - When you work on the sample application, you should test the pages in a separate browser instance. Don't use the Run Page links from the Builder. The sample app has a different authentication scheme from that used in the development environment so it'll work better for you to use a separate development browser from the application testing browser. In the testing browser, to request the page you just modified, login to the application, then change the page ID in the URL. Then put some navigation controls into the application so you can run your page more easily by clicking links from other pages.

Creating a project in Flex Builder for the Hybrid Store sample Application

Hi all,
How to create a project in Flexbuilder for the hybrid store
sample application.
I downloaded the source code of hybridstore application,
Now i have to create a project for it to run that application
in my system,
will you please tell me how to create a project for this
sample.
I have also read the readme.html file. but i could not follow
exactly what they are saying.
what i did is, I unzipped the source code into a folder
hybridstore.
I opened the flexbuilder : File -- new -- flexproject ( i
have selected) then i have given name to my file (hybridstore) ,
and set the path to the hybridstore folder where the source code
exists.
but it as created hybridstore.mxml file also.
it is not working.
will you please till me how to create project for this
application.
I have created project for other samples like restaurent
finder, dashboard. they are working fine.
I got problem with this sample only.

To enable debugging of the Hybrid Store application you must

Unable to run my application using java web start

i have created one application and use java web start to download the application. all the files are succesfully downloaded but when i try to run the application an expected error occur. this only happen in my machine but not in other machine i'm currently using

A blind stab in the dark would be that you don't have write permission to the cache directory on the second machine. Also worth checking that the proxy settings on the second machine are the same as the first (if they are on the same network).

Creating a sample report using JAVA SDK

Hi,
I am trying to create a sample report using JAVA SDK.
I slelect 4 "free cells" and pass 4 different strings to it.
I even slelect the font colour and size. When i run the class and try to view the report in Infoview, I only seeblank blocks without any data. Now if I edit the report from infoview, and save the changes, I am able to see the data.
My issue is, Why am I not able to see the data when I run the java code.

How can i built a java application using java debug class on Log4J

Hi,
As java API support the MethodEntryEvent, using which I can get the automatic logging statements when the method is entered or exited as HelloExample.main(with argument type).
Where HelloExample is the class name.
Main is the method entered with its argument types.
In some cases I have the o/p as
-- VM Started --

main -- HelloExample
callerMethod -- HelloExample
====== main end ======
-- The application exited --
By using Log4J is there any possibility of getting these sort of o/p along with the loggers supported by Log4J. i mean to say can i built an java application which supports the MethodEntryEvent and MethodExitEvent from java API and also uses the Log4J debugging. I took an e.g. trace example, which (in J2SE 1.4.x or 5.x) will be found in $JAVA_HOME/demo/jpda/examples.jar and unpacking it by
jar -xvf $JAVA_HOME/demo/jpda/examples.jar i found the com/sun/tools/example/trace/Trace.java and passed the class constructed with logger taken from Log4J. In this case the logging message is displayed on the console. As per the requirement i need to transfer the whole o/p to an output file along with Log4J logger statements. in this case i should not give any command in the cosule except compiling and executing the programme. the programm also should able to run without the main() as i need to integrate Log4J with an application and the code must me application server independent. i need the output as i got using MethodEnteryEvent (shown as above) in case of java application built using Log4J.
Can any one help me in this regard. can any one give me some suggestion or any programme of this sort. All suggestions are welcomed.

can someone help me how to use log4j and integrate it to the method entry
logging and method exit logging.
Here what i need is without writing the log statements for the method entry and
method exit i need to log it to the file
along with other log4j debug statements i provide in the file.I should be able
to configure whether to enable/disable the logging
for method entry and method exit. In method entry i should be able to log the
parameters the method take and in method exit
i should be able to log te return value to the log file, before the method is
returned to the callee.
