Thank you so much, it's working in all browsers. I have pulled my hair out over this and you made it look so simple.
I hope I get the chance to repay you. You were so nice to take the time to read all this and give me the great advice.
Merry Christmas,

  • I applied a template to a page with SWFs and now that page does not play the SWFs. Why?

I applied a template to a page with SWFs and now that page does not play the SWFs (just a blank area where the SWF should be). When I detach the template it will play the flash file. This site will eventually be updated via Adobe Contribute. And I just discovered that when applying a template to a page that uses HTML datasets (Master/Detail),it no longer reads the Master/detail regions and displays a blank. Any thoughts?
[Moved to Dreamweaver forum by moderator]

Firstly, you shouldn't really 'apply' a template to a page, you should create a child page by going to FILE>NEW>Page from Template.  Too many things can happen when applying a template the way you are doing it. eg:; editable and non-editable regions not matching up and being asked where to place these regions and in all likelihood, you end up with 2 or more of the same region.
When a swf file is inserted into a page, a corresponding Scripts folder is written automatically is stored in the root of the site - it is also linked to in the head of the document. What I believe is happening is that when you apply a template to the page, the Template has no idea that there is a swf file on the page and is not aware of the correct link to the Scripts folder.  If you do a test and add the swf file to the template page itself, I bet that the links to the swf and the scripts folder are correct - because DW knows the correct path to the script file.   Hence the reason the page probably works when you detach it from a template.

  • For some reason my 09' pages will not view documents created in Word 10'  any suggestions?

For some reason my 09' Pages will not open any documents from 10' Word.  It simply opens up blank.  Any suggestions?

I updated my pages and os.  I am currently running 09' pages and os 10.6.7.  The link I gave you earlier was not correct.  I have attached one I just opened up with microsoft word on another computer.  My pages opens up but is blank.  The link is below:
    https://www.vendorportal.ecms.va.gov/FBODocumentServer/DocumentServer.aspx?Docum entId=191194&FileName=VA-255-11-RP-0197-0004000.doc
The only other thing is that word opened it up in compatibility mode and said that the document originated from the internet.  Could this be something that is causing pages to not open?  Thanks for all of your help.

You will need to locate where you itunes library is and then relink one of the songs, itunes will do the rest. So if your itunes library is on an external hard drive or something like that. When you get the error message click yes you would like to locate it. then navigate to the external hard drive where the itunes libray is and locate that particular song. Once you have linked one, itunes will ask if you would like it to locate the rest, click yes and it will find the rest of the files if they are in the same location.

If you are having difficulties with playing certain tracks purchased from the iTunes Store in iTunes, I would suggest deleting those songs and then downloading them again. See this article -

  • Some of my purchased songs do not play in itunes

I have purchased song from itunes either via my phone or through my computer ( but mostly through my phone). I noticed that some of the songs that i purchased do not play on my iphone and now im finding out that there are not even playing in my itunes. I can see the album artwork and the songs ( it seems like the file is there) but when I go to play the songs on my phone it just skips to the next shuffle songs. So it is as if the songs were purchased but then I cant get them to play.
I also just went back and dowloaded the latest versions of both itunes and for my iphone.
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

    Hello jaiwill,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. Sorry to that there is an issue with some of your purchased songs.  First, I recommend trying to delete the problematic songs and redownload the songsfrom your past purchases.
Follow these steps to delete the song from iTunes:
Delete an item from your library
Click the item to select it, and press the Delete key.
    Click Delete Item.
    Do one of the following:
Remove the item only from your iTunes library: Click Keep File.
Delete the item from your computer: Click Move to Recycle Bin. The item is removed the next time you empty the Recycle Bin.
You can find the full article here:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Delete songs, playlists, or other items

Follow these steps to delete the song from your iPhone:
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide ( http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf ):
You can follow the steps to redownload the songs in this article:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If you are still not able to play the songs after redownloading them, you can report an issue with this purchases using the steps in this article:

  • Multiple Home Page settings not working in Server 2008 R2

I have Windows Server 2008 R2 as a DC & ADC is same 2008 R2 server both with SP1 with IE 11 installed
other Group policies are there & running well.
I had setup two home pages but on user machines its showing & running only one Primary home page.
I have one my intranet site & another home page is our website.
I have enable "Disable changing Primary Home page" & kept my intranet page there.
I have enable "Disable changing Secondary Home page" & kept my website page there.
After gpupdate I can see only one page in users Internet settings. My website page is not at all loading !!!
    Scenario 2 :-
I have selected not configured option for "Disable changing Primary Home page" & apply.
I have enable "Disable changing Secondary Home page" and kept Both Intranet & my website page address there.
after Gpupdate its loading 3 pages. Twice same intranet page & one website page.
In group policy configured only two & loading 3 pages?
I need it must show only two pages. Tried all the ways & seems frustrating with Windows Server 2008 R2 Group Policy.
Does anyone succeeded in the multiple home i.e. must load Only TWO pages in the IE browser via Group policy.
All users have 64 bit Windows 7 OS with IE 10 & IE 11 browser installed & updated. Servers has IE 11

    Hi,
As suggested by Martin, the easy way to do this is GPP.
    >>I have selected not configured option for "Disable changing Primary Home page" & apply.
    >>I have enable "Disable changing Secondary Home page" and kept Both Intranet & my website page address there.
Before going further, we should set both these settings as Not Configured. Then we go to
    User Configuration\Preferences\Control Panel Settings\Internet Settings.
After creating a new Internet Settings item, we can configure the homepages in the blank on the
General tab. Note: to make the settings effective, we need to press
F5 to make the line under the blank green. At last, we can run
    gpupdate/force to refresh the policy.
    Best regards,

  • Flash SWF with Video file will not play in web page

    Hello Flash group,
I have created a flash video file from a *.wmv file.
    myvideo.flv.
I have used flash to build an swf file that plays the video
    (with a default skin).
I have then imported the media file into an html page using
Dreamweaver. I did not import the flv file, but the swf file with
    the "video" in it.
The page plays find on my development server (where
    Flash,Dreamweaver, etc is installed).
When I moved the html page, the flv file, the swf file and
the skin to my production webserver (linux and apache)
the flash files do not show up on the web page. The dev
server is a windows XP running apache 2.2)
Any ideas on what I need to do???
    thanks,
    eholz1

It may cause by any of the reason below:
    - You have uploaded the flv file to the wrong directory
    - Your flv file path/name is incorrect. check all case
    sensitive etc.
    - Your web server doesn't support FLV MIME type.

  • Windows do not load: on certain websites correctly treated by Firefox 3.6 some windows in a page are not loaded by Firefox 4 and have to be reloaded.

On a website such as http://forums.kyngdvb.com/forum.php some windows often do not load with the page and have to be reloaded. This did not happen with Firefox 3.6

    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Website_colors_are_wrong
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Swf file with external video not playing properly in Captivate 5

So I'm trying to create a captivate project using swf file that has code that loads external flv inside of it.
It all works great when I test it in flash but once I export it and insert it in Captivate the screens don't synchronize.
The content of the video starts playing as soon as the project starts even though it's not on that video slide and when
I try to scroll through the project the audio of that video screen doesn't stop.
Anyone has an idea why this is happening, could it be my code in flash that's affecting it?

Unfortunately, no. I gave up on the idea of inserting question slides in the middle of videos. That means I no longer have videos distributed across multiple slides, which I assume was causing the problem. Now, I only insert quiz slides AFTER the video slide. Not preferred but that's what I ended up with.
I have recently upgraded to 7.  I haven't had a chance to see if the issue is fixed in 7.  To be honest I am having many issues getting my courses to play properly on the iPad. I am using all the default functions and quiz slides, but I continue to run into problems.

  • Swf published from Flash Catalyst not playing in Flash Player

    Hi All,
I have 2 issues which I'm not sure may be related or not.
    - I've created a project in FC but when I publish it to .swf it does not open in Flash Player. It plays in Chrome but Flash Player 10 gives a blank screen.
    - I have FC 5.5 and I want to make the project scale according to the browser size. How can I do this? I have checked the Resize option but when it open in Chrome it just cuts out all that is outside the browser screen area.
    Thanks.
    Tej

I can not recall the minimum Flash Player that is required for Flash Catalyst. I suspect that your version of Flash Player is too low. Chrome auto-updates to the latest version, so that is why it works in Chrome.
Also, make sure you understand the differences between resizing and scaling. I wrote a blog post on this here: http://chrisgriffith.wordpress.com/2011/06/22/understanding-resizing-and-scaling-in-flash- catalyst/

  • Mp3 as background audio on web page does not play in ff 3.6.22 It does play in IE why?

I am building a web page. When I was editing the page and clicked on browser review, the music I was playing in the background played in ff 3.6.22 and in IE 7. When I uploaded the page to the web for testing, the background music played in IE7 but not ff 3.6.22.
The url for the test page is [http://dj-group.org/efm/saints.html testpage] http://dj-group.org/efm/saints.html
In the process of trying to figure this out, I updated my plugins, all but one successfully. Java would not install because an error message said there was a syntax error. (Since I ran the installer from the Firefox download screen and not through the command line, I tried to contact Java only to find out that the only way I can get help is to pay $1/minute. This is ridiculous.)
The test page still works in IE but not ff
    Please help

Somehow in the process of updating my plugins, Windows Media got deleted. I reinstalled Windows Media and it's ok.
But I would like to know what to do about the Java

  • Flash beginner... insert SWF into web page and create play button

I am trying to insert and SWF into my webpage.  I have 3 problems, 1. I am new to flash and aren't any good at it yet. 2. How do I tell the movie to stop at the end, and insert a "play again" button?  3. What do I need to do to insert that into my webpage.
I realize these aren't yes or no answers, so I even appreciate input on the best way to learn Flash for myself.

    2. It can depend, but snce you are probably using the timeline, most likely you just need to put a stop(); command in the last frame to have it stop at the end.
    To get it to play again, your button's function code will need to include something like: gotoAndPlay(1);
How the button code gets done depends on which version of Actionscript your file is using.
    3. When you publish your swf file, also have Flash publish an html file (you set this up in the Publish Settings).  You can then take that html file and copy the embedding code it contains into your web page html file.  You may have to include a javascript file as well to make it work, and you can tell that by looking in the head code of the html file Flash created... that head code also needs to go into your web page html file and the javascript file needs to be placed according to how your html code targets it.
You might do best just to get the html page Flash creates working for you first.  It might make figuring out how to move it into your web page easier.
My opinion: the best way to learn Flash for yourself is to just dig in and keep at it.  You will lose hair and sleep and your mind as you go, but eventually you either get used to that and/or you overcome it.
