SORTING Partner Result List with value Attributes

Hi Gurus,
I have added two value attribues in partner result list component and trying to sort the same in WEB UI, but is not working alothough I have logic in get_p and on_sort even.
Please help if anyone knows how to sort by value attributes.
Regards.

Hi Ginger,
the problem is because you have no real BOL attribute for your firstname and lastname that the values are not stored.
what you need to do is sort via an internal table.
here is how we did it:
  TYPES: BEGIN OF ltyp_cp_sort,
           sort_key1           TYPE string,
           sort_key2           TYPE string,
           sort_key3           TYPE string,
           bp_partner_guid     TYPE bu_partner_guid,
           entity              TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity,
         END OF ltyp_cp_sort,
         ttyp_cp_sort     TYPE TABLE OF ltyp_cp_sort.
  DATA: lt_cp_sort            TYPE ttyp_cp_sort,
        lt_cp_as_sort         TYPE ttyp_cp_sort,
        ls_cp_sort            TYPE ltyp_cp_sort,
        lr_entity             TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity,
        lv_wrapper            TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_wd_collection_wrapper,
        lv_value              TYPE string,
        lv_firstname          TYPE bu_namep_f,
        lv_lastname           TYPE bu_namep_l.
  DATA: lv_bp_partner_guid    TYPE bu_partner_guid,
        lv_partner            TYPE bu_partner.
  DATA: lv_archived            TYPE bu_xdele.
  FIELD-SYMBOLS:
        <cp_sort>             TYPE ltyp_cp_sort.
  FIELD-SYMBOLS:
        <lv_guid>             TYPE crmt_object_guid.
  DATA: ls_data_person        TYPE bapibus1006_central_person,
        lo_iterator           TYPE REF TO if_bol_bo_col_iterator.
  DATA: lv_number_cp          TYPE i.
Fill up a table with the value of the sort attribute, the entity and its treenode attributes
  lv_wrapper = typed_context->result->get_collection_wrapper( ).
  lo_iterator = lv_wrapper->get_iterator( ).
  lr_entity ?= lv_wrapper->get_first( ).
  WHILE lr_entity IS BOUND.
    CLEAR ls_cp_sort.
    CLEAR: lv_value,
           lv_firstname,
           lv_lastname.
    CALL METHOD lr_entity->if_bol_bo_property_access~get_property_as_value
      EXPORTING
        iv_attr_name = 'CONP_GUID'
      IMPORTING
        ev_result    = lv_bp_partner_guid.
here read the firstname and lastname of the BP again in variables
    CALL METHOD lr_entity->if_bol_bo_property_access~get_property_as_value
      EXPORTING
        iv_attr_name = 'ZFIRSTNAME'
      IMPORTING
        ev_result    = ls_cp_sort-sort_key1.
    CALL METHOD lr_entity->if_bol_bo_property_access~get_property_as_value
      EXPORTING
        iv_attr_name = 'ZLASTNAME'
      IMPORTING
        ev_result    = ls_cp_sort-sort_key2.
    TRANSLATE ls_cp_sort-sort_key1 TO UPPER CASE.
    TRANSLATE ls_cp_sort-sort_key2 TO UPPER CASE.
    ls_cp_sort-bp_partner_guid = lv_bp_partner_guid.
    ls_cp_sort-entity          ?= lr_entity.
    INSERT ls_cp_sort INTO TABLE lt_cp_sort.
    lr_entity ?= lv_wrapper->get_next( ).
  ENDWHILE.
  lv_wrapper->clear( ).
Now you are sorting the way the user wants to sort is, so change this code according to your needs and the users input..
  SORT lt_cp_sort BY sort_key1 sort_key2.
  UNASSIGN <cp_sort>.
After having sorted the list, add it back to the collection wrapper...
  LOOP AT lt_cp_sort ASSIGNING <cp_sort>.
    lv_wrapper->add( <cp_sort>-entity ).
  ENDLOOP.
Hope this helps a bit...

Micha

  • Sorting singly linked list with minimum time complexity

    Hi ...
    anyone could tell me how can i sort singly linked list with minimum time complexity .... ????
    Regards...

    By MergeSort or QuickSort O(n log n). But then you
    have to first extract the objects in the list,sort
    them, then rebuild the list. But it will still bealot
    faster than by keeping the list linked.Technically, I believe insertion sort is marginally
    faster for small n ( <20 or so).Woohoo! So for 20 out of the possible 2147483648 array
    sizes Insetion is faster!
    Unfortunately, checking for that case probably wastes
    all the time you get from using the faster sort...
    That would depend on the actual distribution off array sizes. So it's an engineering decision.

  • Sort view object rows with transient attributes

    Hi ,
    Is it possible to sort the results of a view object based on the populated transient attributes ?
    Best regards
    K

    K,
    Have you had a look at section 27.5 of the ADF Developer's Guide for Forms/4GL Developers ("Performing In-Memory Sorting and Filtering of Row Sets") - I've not tried it with transient attributes, but it does describe how to do in-memory sorting, as opposed to the normal way of sorting which is to send an ORDER BY to the database.
    Hope this helps,

  • Error while populating drop down list with values from a database

    Hi all,
    I have a JSP page with a drop down list that is to be populated with values from a database.
    This is the code in my JSP file:
         <!-- Form for picking the floor -->
             <!-- Get the available floors -->
             <% ArrayList<Integer> floornumbers = dataManager.getAllFloorNumbers();
                Iterator<Integer> iterator = floornumbers.iterator(); %>
             <!-- Create the form for users to select the floor -->
             <form id="floorselectionform">
                  <input type="hidden" name="action" value="floorselected"/> <!-- Guides the servlet to redirect to the appropriate page -->
                  Select floor | <select name="floorselector" id="floorselector">
                       <% while (iterator.hasNext()) { %>
                       <option value="<%=iterator.next().intValue()%>"> <%=iterator.next().intValue()%> </option>
                       <% } %>
                  </select>
                  <input type="submit" value="Go!"/>
             </form>   The DataManager.java class simply forwards this to its respective Peer class, which has the code shown below:
          package seatplanner.model;
        import java.sql.Connection;
        import java.sql.ResultSet;
        import java.sql.SQLException;
        import java.sql.Statement;
        import java.util.ArrayList;
        /* This class handles all floor operations */
         public class FloorPeer
         /* This method returns all the floor numbers */
         public static ArrayList<Integer> getAllFloorNumbers(DataManager dataManager) {
            ArrayList<Integer> floornumbers = new ArrayList<Integer>();
            Connection connection = dataManager.getConnection();
            if (connection != null) {
              try {
                Statement s = connection.createStatement();
                String sql = "select ID from floor order by ID asc";
                try {
                  ResultSet rs = s.executeQuery(sql);
                  try {
                    while (rs.next()) {
                      floornumbers.add(rs.getInt(1));
                  finally { rs.close(); }
                finally {s.close(); }
              catch (SQLException e) {
                System.out.println("Could not get floor numbers: " + e.getMessage());
              finally {
                dataManager.putConnection(connection);
            return floornumbers;
         }  The classes compile properly, but when I load this page up in Tomcat it just freezes and does not load the form. I tested the DB connection and it works fine.
    What am I doing wrong in the JSP code?
    Thanks for the help in advance.
    UPDATE: I commented out the form, and added <%=floornumbers.size()%> right above the commented code to check if the ArrayList is indeed getting populated with the values from the database (the values are of type integer in the database). The page still freezes like before. I'm puzzled now :confused: .

    Wrong usage of Iterator.
    <!-- Form for picking the floor -->
             <!-- Get the available floors -->
             <% ArrayList<Integer> floornumbers = dataManager.getAllFloorNumbers();
                Iterator<Integer> iterator = floornumbers.iterator(); %>
             <!-- Create the form for users to select the floor -->
             <form id="floorselectionform">
                  <input type="hidden" name="action" value="floorselected"/> <!-- Guides the servlet to redirect to the appropriate page -->
                  Select floor | <select name="floorselector" id="floorselector">
                       <% while (iterator.hasNext()) {
                                    Integer inte = iterator.next();
                            %>
                       <option value="<%=inte.intValue()%>"><%=inte.intValue()%></option>
                       <% } %>
                  </select>
                  <input type="submit" value="Go!"/>
             </form>or make use of enhanced loop as you are already using J2SE 5.0+ for avoiding confusions.
    <!-- Form for picking the floor -->
             <!-- Get the available floors -->
             <% ArrayList<Integer> floornumbers = dataManager.getAllFloorNumbers(); %>
             <!-- Create the form for users to select the floor -->
             <form id="floorselectionform">
                  <input type="hidden" name="action" value="floorselected"/> <!-- Guides the servlet to redirect to the appropriate page -->
                  Select floor | <select name="floorselector" id="floorselector">
                       <% for(Integer inte:floornumbers) {%>
                       <option value="<%=inte.intValue()%>"><%=inte.intValue()%></option>
                       <%}%>
                  </select>
                  <input type="submit" value="Go!"/>
             </form>and a lot better thing would be making usage of basic Taglib provided with JSTL spec or struts spec which make life easier and simple.
    something like usage of <c:forEach/> or <logic:iterate/> would be lot better without writing a single scriptlet code.
    Hope that might help :)

    Hi Mark,
    After selecting data use this statement.
    DELETE it_table WHERE AFNAM is initial.

  • Need to bind value attributes of Component controller with value attributes

    Hi,
    I am developing a Java Web Dynpro application which is importing RFC Model.

    Hi Kaushik,
    It is very simple to enter values in webdynpro and to update the ztable through RFC
    All you hav to do is
    1. Create the ztable , RFC to import data into that table,
    2. Create the model in webdynpro with that RFC
    3. First map the ModelInputElements to the component controller(say zid, zname) (you can have your own value attribute in component controller say id , name )
    4. Map the attributes to the view where the input field is there
    5. Now write the code as follows,
    Zxxx in = new Zxxx();
    wdContext.nodeZxx_InputElement.bind(in);
    in.setZid(wdcontext.currentContextElement().getId()); // getId component controllers attribute and getZid is model' s mapped attributre
    in.setZname(wdcontext.currentContextElement().getName()); // getName component controllers attribute and getZname is model's mapped attributre
    /* u need not have to map that model attrobute to component attribute for that */
    try
    in.execute();
    Catch(Eception e)
    e.printStackTrace();

  • Initialising a list, with values - how to?

    Hi
    I want to create a list with some values already in it - how do you do this? I know the constructor is
    List<Integer> = new ArrayList<Integer>();
    but how would I create a new list already containing the following values at construction time?:
    [244753217,613613369,415120695,355142652,134856040,478060706,331972076, 532347366,600207262]
    Many thanks, Ron

    Hi
    Yes, but could you add all the numbers at once, and
    my question is really in regard to initialising the
    list in the first place!No it isn't. You think it is but it isn't.
    There is a constructor whereby you can feed ArrayList another Collection and it will add the items of that collection to it's own list when it is constructed.
    Of course you still have to initialize A collection at some point to do that. Which means in the end that you have to add items to a collection. So it all comes back to you really needing to do this at intialization and the answer is in the end you can't. But as I said you don't HAVE to do this and if you think you must you are mistaken.
    If you continue to insist that you MUST do this then please post some formatted code that explains why and we can point out the flaws in your thinking.

  • Facing problem with Value Attributes

    Hi,
    I have created a value attribute under the context node. This attribute is editable field. User can enter value for this attribute on WEBUI.
    Now, my problem is in GET_METHOD.
    In get method, normally we get the value using "COLLECTION_WRAPPER" or "ITERATOR". If the attribute is BOL attribute , then we can get the value from these . However my attribute is value attribute, and I am unable to get the value using COLLECTION_WRAPPER or ITERATOR. So, when the user enters any value it is coming into GET_METHOD, and displaying blank value on the screen.
    Now my bottom line question is: if the attribute is value attribute, how can we get the value in GET method.
    Note: I can't add it as BOL attribute, for my case it is not possible.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi,
    if it is a pure value note then you could access this using this class instead of bol class:
    lr_value_node TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_wd_value_node.
    Kind regards

  • SELECT LIST - with values after have values in other Select List

    My friends.
    I need a select list that is self - complemented, after being selected a value in another select list above.
    Can you help?
    pesquisar

    Good afternoon,
    Try this for the definition of your select list:
    select emp.emp_name as display_column,
           emp.emp_id as return_column
      from employees emp
    where emp.department = :P1_DEPT_NO
    order by emp.emp_name;This will look at the select_list called :P1_DEPT_NO, capture the value that is currently selected and then populate the EMPLOYEE select list based on the results. Just use a query like this as the one that defines your second select list.
    This seems to be a popular question. Search this forum for other information.

  • How to add a Field to the Result List in Activity

    Hello Experts !
    We are on CRM 7.0. I want to add a field to the Result List of Activity (Component: BT126S_APPT / View: ApptSR). This field is the address of the "Employee Responsible".
    So, how can I add a field to the Result List? AET is not a relevant tool for us because we don't want to create an attribute it already exist in the BOL. We just have to enhance the result list with BOL existing attributes.
    Also, after I add the field, I will need to populate my field with Data via some method.
    Thanks in Advance to all !

  • I've found no way to sort.  For example, if I type the group "Rush" into the search bar, I get a list of songs recorded by rush and literally thousands of other songs and artists with the word rush in them. There is; however, no way to sort the results.

    I've found no way to sort search results in itunes.  For example, if I type the group "Rush" into the search bar, I get a list of songs recorded by rush and literally thousands of other songs and artists with the word rush in them. There is; however, no way to sort the results.

    In the Search box click on the black Arrow and UNTICK the Search Entire Library.
    Then the Search results in Songs view will be displayed in the main Grid and you can sort them by clicking on the column headers.
    You can also turn on the column browser which can help with filtering

    Hi DrClap,
    I have a similar problem again. This time I am trying to extract a list of values from a xsd. Below is the code that I am using.
              try{
                   djxsd = new FileInputStream("djei-3.1.xsd");
                   XPathFactory factory = XPathFactory.newInstance();
                   XPath xpath = factory.newXPath();
                   SimpleNamespaceContext nsContext = new SimpleNamespaceContext();
                   xpath.setNamespaceContext(nsContext);
                   nsContext.addNamespace("xs", "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema");
                   nsContext.addNamespace("xsi","http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance");
                   +//String exp = "//xs:element/@name/text()";+
    String exp = "/xs:schema/xs:group/xs:sequence/xs:element";
                   XPathExpression xPathExpression= xpath.compile(exp);
                   NodeList result = (NodeList)xPathExpression.evaluate(doc, XPathConstants.NODESET);
                   FileOutputStream outputfile = new FileOutputStream("log.txt");
              for (int i = 0; i < result.getLength(); i++) {
                   Element element = (Element)result.item(i);
                   String output = element.getTextContent().trim();
                   if(output.length() > 0)
                        outputfile.write(output.getBytes());
                        //System.out.println(output);
    Highlighted in Itlalics is the actual expression that I want to use. For some reason this is not working .. it returns nothing.
    The other expression works. Please let me know if there is anything wrong with the expression.

  • Sorting a conditional list column doesn't roll up same results?

    I have a list with a column that adds the data of some other columns.
    When I look at the list in Standard View, and click on the column heading to sort, the dropdown looks like:
    Smallest on Top
    Largest on Top
    Clear Filter...
    0
    0
    0
    1
    1
    2
    2
    2
    2
    etc
    Why wouldn't it be rolling up same output? And how to fix?
    Thanks,
    Scott

    The average is also called the mean. To calculate the average of numbers in two or more columns in a row, use the AVERAGE function.
    COLUMN1
    COLUMN2
    COLUMN3
    FORMULA
    DESCRIPTION (RESULT)
    6
    5
    4
    =AVERAGE([Column1], [Column2],[Column3])
    Average of the numbers in the first three columns (5)
    6
    5
    4
    =AVERAGE(IF([Column1]>[Column2], [Column1]-[Column2], 10), [Column3])
    If Column1 is greater than Column2, calculate the average of the difference and Column3. Else calculate the average of the value 10 and Column3 (2.5)
    I tested in my local environment,it is giving average value only.Please  check the same thing in another list.

  • Unable to sort result list in a search crm 2007

    Hello everyone,
    I am facing a problem in CRM 2007, Iu2019m going to describe it.
    When I try to sort or filter a result list in the webclient, It is done by clicking on the header of the result list, well when i click on it instead of appearing the options ( such as ascending , descending or any value of the selection) there is a error in the web page ( so a sign of error appears in the left bottom corner of the screen)
    For instance if i search an account with a * then many possible accounts will appear in the result list, but i can not sort them by clicking on the header of the result list.
    Any help?
    Thanks in advance.
    Luis Angel Fiel

    Hi Masood,
    You understand it correctly, but in the result list We have more that one column. No header of any column is working.
    For instance when I am searching for an account in the result list will appear several accounts ( in lines ) and several columns in the columns there are  fields (STRUCT.ACT_DATE     STRUCT.CREATE_BY      STRUCT.DESCRIPTION     STRUCT.STA TXT) but no one of those headers are working.
    Thank you very much for your answer.

  • Sort LOV view with transient attribute

    Hello,
    I am using JDeveloper 12c.
    I have a view object with a list of value. Let's say EmployeeView and EmployeeStatusLovView.
    I have a transient attribute on my list of values. Let's say statusDescription.
    I want to sort my list of value with the transient attribute. How can I do that ?
    I saw that I can easy sort with non transient attribute.
    If it wasn't a LOV, I could override the executeQuery and call setSortBy(), but with a LOV it doesn't work as the executeQuery isn't called.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Cindy

    Ok I get it. The problem was that I tried to override the executeQuery() instead of executeQueryForCollection(). With LOV the first one is not used. Calling setSortBy("myTransientAttribute") in executeQueryForCollection() works just fine!
