Sound Equalizer - like in a common mp3 player

hi guys!
is it possible to create an mp3 player and the player has an equalizer 'section' and that section has 10 bars and with them you can set the sound signal ( basically bass - mid - treble ) like for instance W*namp's EQ ?
...and if it's possible what's the class that i should check and use?

I bought my zen micro from a retail store.. In canada. In holland in the one electronics store they have the touch,3 colors of micro, 2 muvo players, and a Xtra. They only had the ipod mini...

Where do I begin with the making of an MP3 player?

I would like to create a mp3 player, and have researched and discovered i need JMF, which i have now downloaded and installed. But i do not know where to begin with the coding of the MP3 Player. Any help would be appreciated.

One problem, (I think) Sun had to drop MP3 support from Java because of some legal issues. You may need to head in the direction of JNI.

MP3 Player Play/Pause?

I'm making an MP3 player. I can't get the play/pause toggle to work. I'm not sure how to have the event be toggled on and off. Sorry, I'm a newbie to flex.

Change .MP3 Player From QT to WMP

Here's a neater version of what I just posted before. I forgot I had it in a file.

*Changing the application used to open all files of a certain kind*
1) In a Finder window highlight a file of the kind you want to change the application to open that kind of file.
2) While that file is highlighted, select File > Get Info or press command (apple or propeller icon) + i to get a file information window.
3) In the lower part of the info window there is an "open with" menu with a list of applications.
4) If your application is already in the box then it is the default application for opening that kind of file and you don't need to do anything more. Close the get info window.
5) If the application showing in the menu is not the one with which you wish to open the file then select a new application. If your application does not appear there then select the "other..." and track down the application (usually in the Applications folder at the main level of the computer).
6) If you wish to change all files of this type to open with this application in future, make sure the "change all" button is selected.
7) Close the get info window.

Can I clone a MP3 Player or PC hard drive?

I've recently had a problem with an MP3 player that has got me thinking about cloning drives. What happened: a friend brought his MP3 player to me to transfer music files from my collection to his player. He wanted all files on his player tossed, so we formatted the player. In doing so, I suspect we erased some important files that his player needed. We didn't see them or they were invisible.
His player no longer plays music, though it still is OK as a USB storage device. We are going to try to find the necessary files and reload them. (I assume that is the problem. Maybe his player has just coincidentally developed a fault.)
Because it is a cheapie player, I suspect I will have trouble locating the files. So I thought I'd locate a similar player and simply clone it to a disk image, then restore that disk image to the the bung player. I have used successfully used CCCloner this way for several years to make backups of my entire system.
Now to my questions.
Q1: Will CCCloner (or other cloning Mac software) clone ANY drive, even though it may be in a proprietory format, like I assume an MP3 player is?
Q2: And just out of interest: can I clone a Windows HD so that everything in the Windows environment is retained, or will there be files that Mac cloning software won't recognize?

You should look for a support site for the MP3 player to see what format it uses and what the proper restoration procedure is-either that or contact the company directly.

Mp3 player Creative Zen V plus sound recor

Regarding the Creative Zen V Plus Mp3 player, how do I get the sound recording function to record mp3's instead of wav. My player is nearly full and I can't afford to store so many Wav's. Also, how do I change the settings for sound recording on either the player or in Windows? Thx

Sounds like you have a bad or weak battery in your player. How are you playing your music? Are you using wins Media player or another player to play your music? Do you have the orginal Creative Zen V Plus CD Installation Driver? You might try and uninstall the drivers and reinstall them again. Just some things to think about. HT1391 I recently purchased music from power music. I downloaded it to I tunes. I don't know where to look for it in itunes. I am not that computer savvy but I would like to put it on my mp3 player. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

How can I make the Acrobat Pro MP3 player rewind to the beginning of the sound track.

The small rewind button on the Acrobat Pro MP3 player does not fully rewind the audio, it only jumps back a small amount each time the rewind button pressed. Is there a way to make the rewind jump back to the beginning of the sound track?
If that is not possible, is there a way to use a different skin for the MP3 player--one that would provide better controls?

Cannot install driver for IQ Sound mp3 player

I'm trying to load software for my IQ Sound mp3 player, but my Toshiba laptop does not recognize the driver on the disc. What should I do?

I can't say with any certainty what the compatibility is between your mp3 player and your Toshiba laptop. Maybe you should check on the support website of the mp3 player as well if you haven't already.

Can I use my new MP3 player in my car like an iP

I just bought a Creative Zen MicroPhoto MP3 player and I love it. I was wondering if they make a piece so I can play my MP3 player in my car like my friend can with his iPod. Just wondering.......

Any device that has a cable which connects to the headphone jack of an ipod will work with a Creative mp3 player. The best method of connecting is with a cable to the aux in on the car stereo, although some people have commented that the volume in their car doesn't get loud enough that way(it depends on the car). Another way to connect is using a cassette adapter if your car has a tape player. If not, the third option is using an FM transmitter(they are illegal to use in some places such as the UK though).

Mp3 player doesn't like my tiBook!

I got a 4GB mp3 player which, they said, is Mac compatible.
It did appear on the desktop [tibook,Tiger] and I could drag/drop files.
But I found that files as seen on the player's screen would not get deleted - even though I dragged them to the trash on the desktop.
This suggested to me that this is not really a Mac friendly player...
Then another problem emerged. I can no longer 'pause'. Instead I get taken back to the start of the first item in the playlist. [It did work ok when I first used it. So it appears it got a 'bug'. I think that perhaps the format was messed up by using my Mac on it....]
I got 'iTuneMyWalkman' to act as an intermediary - and that's great. But I don't know how to fix the pause problem.
Someone said something about FAT32 - but goodness knows what that is and how it works! The website left me staring at the wall for a week [not really!]
Anyone help? [Shall I bin it and buy an iPod?!! ©€¡¶¥]

Unfortunately the closest it gets to that is 'Firmware version' [LKC9123_0101F] and 'Firmware upgrade' [which I can't work out how to do.... the screen goes blank after showing a connect image - but then nothing much happens except the sound of birds in the garden.................]

Mp3 player extension has music overlaying sound on the Connect meeting recording

I installed the mp3 player extension into Connect from the Adobe extensions site and it worked fine. Once the Connect meeting started I minimised it the pod with the mp3 player in it and there was no audible sound. But now when I go to the recording the sound is playing. It plays even when you have paused playback on the recording, so it is not in the recording itself. How can I stop it from playing while I view the recording?

I just tried the 11.7 beta, and it exhibits the same behavior. I have in fact tried a few different versions of Flash Player (and of the Connect Add-In) today to see what would happen.
With Flash Player 11.6 and 11.7, the meeting recording playback crashes immediately as soon as screen sharing begins (the meeting will play back fine otherwise, it's just whenever a screen sharing pod becomes active that this happens.)
In Flash Player 11.5 and 11.3, this immediate crash does not happen, however at (seemingly) random intervals (~3 minutes, ~7 minites, ~17 minutes, ~20 minutes) the *screen sharing* pod will "stall", while the rest of the meeting continues to play back. (By "stall" I mean that activity in the screen share freezes, a spinning indicator appears over this pod and cycles indefinitely. Meanwhile other activity in the meeting continues to play back - audio, chat, etc.)
I didn't try 11.4, which apparently introduced the immediate crash bug that I see in 11.6 and 11.7 beta.

You will need to consult the documentation for the Sansa to learn how to get the tracks off of the player onto your computer. Once they're on the computer, either drag the tracks into the iTunes window or use the Add to Library command under the File menu.
