SP2-0927 - CONNECT AS SYSDBA or AS SYSOPER not allowed through iSQL*Plus UR
I need to login as sys so i can run the following statement
grant execute on dbms_session to DOTEA;
How to I login as SYS i'm having so many problems
Do you mind telling us WHAT error you are getting? That would help people who want to help you.
Since you embrace the package name in double-quotes when creating it, you have to refer to it in the same way:

"SET_DOTEA_CONTEXT".set_context ('aalao001', '(1)');

HTTP Connection to ABAP System - Query String Not Allowed message
Hi All,
We are trying to create HTTP Connection to ABAP System on a SAP ECC system.
Following entries are added
1 Connection Type: H
2 Target Host: Host name
3 Service Number: HTTP Port name
4 Path Prefix: /sap/XI/engine/?type=entry
It is not allowing me to enter Path prefix as "/sap/XI/engine/?type=entry". It is throwing a warning message as "Query String Not Allowed message".
As per the documentation it is mentioned that -<b> If the system displays the Query String Not Allowed message, you can ignore it.</b>
It is not allowing me to save the entries succesfully . I need to remove the path refix entry then only i am able to save other wise it is not allowing me to proceed at all.
Please let me know what entry i can put for the same or let me know how can i ignore and proceed by saving the path prefix as "/sap/XI/engine/?type=entry".
Please provide your valuable help on this.
Regards,
NandaHi Aamir ,

Terminal Server on 2008 SP2 NLB connects one host and the other wont allow anyone to logon.
Hi all,
I have a terminal server farm with two hosts as part of the session directory setup.
I use NLB to load balance the two servers.
The servers OS is Server 2008 Sp2.
Beforehand it worked perfectly, users would connect to the NLB hostname TermSerfarm and then be authenticated to either one of the servers in the farm.
However this seemed to break for no apparent reason. When a user logs onto the system
they use either RDP 6.0 or a Winterm, if the session is created on Farm member
1 then they log on and everything starts as normal, however if NLB determines
to send them to the second server in the farm then they get a message saying
terminal server is not available.
I had to remove the second farm server from both the session directory and the host from NLB, so there is just one server on the farm now.
NLB is set to Unicast.
Here are some of the things i checked -
DNS is okay as the Farm name resolves.
You can log into each of the servers by hostname if you want, just not to the second farm member via NLB.
Listener permissions are set up properly on the RDP setting of the Terminal Server configuration.
All IPs ping properly and the NICs are okay. NLB is set to Unicast.
Both farm members have a production NIC and an NLB NIC these are fine as well.
Event Viewer shows nothing at all, no system errors, no connection errors, so trying
to troubleshoot this is a nightmare!
Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas where to start?
Any help is much Appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
When the Terminal Services Session Broker service starts, it creates the Session Directory Computers local group. By default, this group is not populated. You must choose the individual terminal servers or groups that you want to participate in the Terminal
Services Session Broker service, and then manually change group memberships to the Session Directory Computers group.
I would suggest you to check the configuration again for NLB with below mention link.

My iPad is disabled and I can not input my passcode. what do i need to do? I tried to connect to iTunes, but it will not allow me to connect via compute USB as I cannot input my passcode for the iPad.
You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/re-sync your content to it

I am using WLS7 with SP1.
I just recently migrated from WLS6.0. When my code tries to grab a

Do you know how to change security setting on the connection pool?
Thanks.WebConsole:
1.Compatibility Security => ACLs
Create a new ACL,
name : weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.yourPoolname
permission : reserve, reset
group : everynone
2.Services => JDBC => Connection Pool
Create a new Connection Pool
ACL Name : weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.yourPoolname
In 'Target' tab, choose server and click the Apply button

Hi Jung,
Could you try providing weblogic user name and password
in the properties?
Could you also check security setting of the connection pool?

Well that is exactly what I am doing. The variable dbName is database
connection pool name that I created in weblogic console. Again, it
worked
in WLS6 but after migration, it stopped working.
Thanks.

In my code I am supplying name of the connection pool already

in
weblogic server. I am asking you to get connection from the pool
using
pool
driver.
In your case you are trying to create connection straight to
database
using pool

What I am asking is pass name of the connection pool instead of
database
name.
Thanks,

Try As described below:
The following example demonstrates how to use a database
connection
pool
from a servlet.
Load the pool driver and cast it to java.sql.Driver. The
full
pathname
of
the driver is weblogic.jdbc.pool.Driver. For example:
Driver myDriver = (Driver)
Class.forName("weblogic.jdbc.pool.Driver").newInstance();
Create a connection using the URL for the driver, plus
(optionally)
the
name of the registered connection pool. The URL of the pool
driver
is
jdbc:weblogic:pool.
You can identify the pool in either of two ways:
Specify the name of the connection pool in a
java.util.Properties
object
using the key connectionPoolID. For example:
Properties props = new
Properties();props.put("connectionPoolID",
"myConnectionPool");Connection conn =
myDriver.connect("jdbc:weblogic:pool", props);
Add the name of the pool to the end of the URL. In this case
you
do
not
need a Properties object unless you are setting a username
and
password
for using a connection from the pool. For example:
Connection conn =
myDriver.connect("jdbc:weblogic:pool:myConnectionPool",
null);
Note that the Driver.connect() method is used in theseexamples
instead of
the DriverManger.getConnection() method. Although you may
use
DriverManger.getConnection() to obtain a databaseconnection,
we
recommend
that you use Driver.connect() because this method is not
synchronized
and
provides better performance.
Note that the Connection returned by connect() is an
instance
of
weblogic.jdbc.pool.Connection.
Call the close() method on the Connection object when youfinish
with
your
JDBC calls, so that the connection is properly returned to
the
pool. A
good coding practice is to create the connection in a try
block
and
then
close the connection in a finally block, to make sure the
connection
is
closed in all cases.
conn.close();

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Does anyone have a sample on how to connect as either SYSDBA or SYSOPER through 0040?
Thank you in advance,
BenHi,
First, from the 8.1.7 CD, install the 8i Management Server components option. This will install the management server componenents on your disk.
Then from the Enterprise Manager menu, run the configuration assistant, which will create the Management server service for you (NT) and create a repository.
The connect from the Enterprise Manager Console and connect using SYSMAN and password oem_temp. From the Menu, select discoverer/refresh node. Then you have to add the database to the node (it will be detected automatically from server running the Management server or the Intelligence Agent. )
Then you can connect to the database using sys/<password> and choose SYSDBA role !
Hope this helps
Deepak
i could only connect as NORMAL. i don't have a management server.
or do i have to log as administrator in order to connect as SYSDBA or SYSOPER? -
Connecting as sysdba / sysoper

Connect to SYSDBA from inside SQLplus? Default password?
Ok, I could call SQLplus with the SYSDBA user as
sqlplus / as sysdba
but assume I am in a SQLplus session as SYSTEM user and I just want to quick switch to SYSDBA
through a "conn" command and execute some instructions?
How can I do this? How is the default password of SYSDBA (and SYSOPER) ?
the following does not work:
SQL>conn SYSDBA/sysdba
How else can I connect?

PeterPeter,
Well first of all, there is no user called SYSDBA, Its a role not a user. Here is the link which tells what this role contains and another SysOPER also,
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14231/dba.htm#sthref137
Now the comamnd that you have given, connect sysdba/sysdba, is wrong fron start to finish as there is no user like this. One may think that the option to quickly switch can be setting the current schema to sys but that also doesn't work for SYS user,

Connecting as SYSDBA from Remote Machine
Hello,
I've installed Oracle8.6.1 on Linux6.2,& i've installed DBA studio on one my windows'NT machine.
When i want to connect as SYSDBA from DBA Studio & Username/Password as system/manager it says --
ORA-01031 Insufficient Privileges
but i'can connect as SYSOPER & Normal.
Do anyone know how to solve this problem???
null1. use orapwd command-line utility to create a new password file.
2. set remote_login_passwordfile = exclusive in initxxx.ora file.
3. restart instance.
4. use sql*plus or svrmgrl to grant sysdba right to the schemas you want to be able to logon with sysdba rights. -
Connecting as sysdba different client versions
Hi !!
I've installed client software ver. 8.0 (Designer 6i), Oracle 8.1.7. Client and Oracle Client 9i, over Win2k Prof. There is a script for run an installation process, whose try to execute "connect system@instance as sysdba". In this moment instance could be DBOra81 (RDBMS Oracle 8.1.7.) or DBOra90 (RDBMS Oracle 9.0.1.1.1). Testing the installation script, I found it doesn't work changing the Primary Oracle Home in all cases:
* Oracle Primary Home DEFAULT_HOME
SqlPlus 8.0 can't connect any instance. I get ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
SqlPlus 8.1 connect successfully in both DBOra81 and DBOra90.
SqlPlus 9.0 can't connect any instance. ORA-01031: insufficient privileges again.
* Oracle Primary Home Ora81: The same cases
* Oracle Primary Home Ora90: The Same Cases.
Why I can't connect as sysdba with Oracle 9i client software ?
Thank's in advise !!issue

Difference between CONNECT and CONNECT As SYSDBA
Hi All,
Can anyone explain me... what is the difference between this two..
