SP3 install problems.. Am I the first?

So I tried installing SP3, and I get everything working except ipshttpd
(seems to be a thorn in my side since iPS came into my life). It starts up,
but the gateway (I'm not in Open mode) can't connect to my server on it.
Then after a period of time it will die, and this goes into my
/var/opt/SUNWips/debug/iwtHTTPProxy file:

okay, I think I got past this part. It seems that the http proxy is just
dying for no reason after I start it. Usually if I start ipsnetletd first,
then ipshttpd seems to stay running.
Anyway, it's still not working, and now this message appears in the log

Time Machine backups can be paused by choosing "Stop Backing Up" from the Time Machine icon on the right hand side of your menu bar ( ). Once you're ready to resume the backup, you can choose "Back Up Now" from the same icon.
Start a backup: Click the Time Machine icon in the menu bar, then choose Back Up Now.
Pause a backup: Click the Time Machine icon in the menu bar, then choose Stop Backing Up.

Installing GroupWise 2012 for the first time

Hello,
I am looking for some help on installing GroupWise 2012 for the first time, and onto a brand new Windows 2008 Server. I have looked at some of the documentation for this, but I do not fully understand what I need to do. For example, I need to have eDirectory installed so I installed eDirectory on the Windows sever. I don't know what settings I need to use for eDirectory or if I even need a Netware server, too. I would appreciate it if someone could walk me through this step by step and provide me with values for a basic system I would appreciate it. My first goal is to learn how to install GroupWise 2012 on a Windows 2008 server. Once I understand this, then I can redo it and go from there.

Let me see if I can be of some sort of assistance.... you don't need a NetWare server - besides they are obsolete.
I created the following set of instructions for somebody doing a first time install on Linux - perhaps just read around it and see if it works for you in a windows environment:
"on the server run the GroupWise install: ./install from the directory where you have the software
select "Create or Update a GroupWise System"
accept the license agreement
create the software distribution directory (default should be fine)
From the Select Software dialog select the Select All button
when the copying is complet select Creating a new GroupWise System
to start ConsoleOne select Run
when prompted with the Linux Mount Directory select OK
when prompted, take note of the steps yout ake to create a new system, then select OK
login to consoleone with your admin credentials
in the left pane select GroupWise System the select Tools | GroupWise Utilities | New System
select next
confirm that your tree is correct
select Extend eDirectory Schema check box and then select next
When prompted for a system name enter something simple like GWise
When prompted for a primary domain name enter a domain like gwdom1 (I'm keeping it generic in this scenario)
when prompted for a domain directory enter a path ie /opt/novell/groupwise/dbs/gwdom1
select next
Next to the domain context fields select the browse icon
browse to and select the container that will hold the domain (you might want to create an organisational unit called groupwise in your tree for this purpose)
next slect your language and time zone
when prompted for a post office name enter a poa name like gwpoa1 (again, generic in this example)
when prompted for a post office directory enter a path eg /opt/novell/groupwise/dbs/gwpoa1
the context for the post office is assumed to be the same as the domain
select the language and time zone for the post office
in the post office link dialog confirm that tcp/ip is selected
enter your ip address of your server
leave the ports at default - don't mess with these unless you know what you are doing!
in the IP address of the MTA (that would be your domain) enter the IP of your server
leave the ports at default
browse and add existing edirectory users to your GroupWise system
to create the GroupWise system select next
view the installation summary then select next
the final step is to install the agent software - select next
from the GroupWise agents configuration dialog select next
confirm that the check box for Launch GroupWise AGents on system startup is selected then select exit
exit the GroupWise installation program
from the terminal winodws enter rcgrpwise start to load the groupwise agents"

Mac mini restart because of a problem. Not the first time!

This morning, while I was simply listening to iTunes, browsing with Safari and a Time Machine Backup was going on I had the Grey Screen Of Death!
This is not the first time it happens, I'm really worried about a real hardware problem.

I'll do... but it sounds strange to me... this LaCie is brand new (I've bought it a month ago) and it seems to be a good brand for drives, especially for Mac OS X, isn't it?
All this problems started after a Mavericks fresh install...

Installing SAP B1 for the first time

i get the Install Shield status bar that preparing for installation but afterwards nothing is happening. after i`m closing the program with "Task Manager" (of windows XP) i`m getting an error msg "1628: Failed to complete installation".

Unknown error code 13014 problem, this is the first time I've ever seen it.

After I upgraded my PC, I copied old libraries and music files from the old hard drive to the new one. I installed the newest version of iTunes (8.0.2) and when I plugged in my ipod, I saw something I had never seen. Guess what it is?
'Unknown error code 13014!'
I had no problems for using every function that my iPod touch and iTunes have (including Genius play list) and of course, I've been updating every version of firmwares and iTunes programs. After I googled about this incident, I figured out this problem should not be seen on the newest version of iTunes but I'm still surffering from it.
Temporally, I turned off Genius Play List and now, that error code doesn't pop up but of course, I can not use Genius Play list because of it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, restored firmware, moved Library Extras & Genius.itdb and do them again and again. Of course, none of them worked.
What can I do? Is there anyone else who is experiencing same thing to me? How can I get my Genius Play List function back?
Please Help me. I'm desperate. :<

Did you properly prep your new drive first?
Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder. If you need to reformat your startup volume, then you must boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
When formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Complete the OS X installation.
I think you should shutdown the installer then erase the drive per the above and start again.

Install Problem "Error: -48 The operation could not be completed... "

I am unable to install the "Take Picture Action Installer" from http://automator.us/downloads.html#1026
The error message is "Error: -48. The operation could not be completed because there is already an item with that name."
However I created a test user on the system and was able to do the install there just fine. Anyone know how I could fix the problem?

I have not had a problem with that download (since your post)
There is an Automator "Take Picture" action which is owned by the system (Macintosh HD/System/Library/Automator/) which appears under the Image Capture library
The .zip file which you downloaded should go into Your user name/Library/Automator/ and is named "NYHTPROD-Take Picture.action" and appears under the Photo Booth library. It says that is the destination in the panel when you unzip the file
Suggest you have a look around those libraries and check things are as they should be then try again

Sp4 could not be installed / Problems by deployiing the fs

I try to install the sp4 for J2ee engine 630 with sp3.
I have an Error that says there is no sdmkit.jar so I copy one from the dvd into the sdm folder.
After that the sdmkit is installated.

I tried sp5 sp6 sp7 and sp8 also but I've ever the same error.
I try this now 2 days but I don't find a solution.
I would be very happy if anbody can give me a hint.

Is anyone else having a problem when sending the first email of the day from iCloud?

For the past week I startup my iMac and send an email via my iCloud account. I finish typing it out, it says the whole time that it is saving the message. I hit send, the task bar comes up and shows that the meessage has been sent. I look in the 'sent' box and nothing! It didn't send and there is no trace of it in the 'outbox' or junk or drafts, not sure if it something that iCloud has had fixed in the 'Drafts' section but my very first email is lost to cyberspace every morning.
Very irritating when you have just typed a huge email and forgot to copy it to the clipboard (in case) it dissapears. Just happened asgain so I thought I'd post it here and see who else is experiencing it.

Installing problem; Freezes at the "Born To be Together" image

that pops up right after I tell it which drive to install in. This image pops up, and I click 'next' when it does this, it freezes. It is completely unresponsive (clicking buttons and whatnot doesnt help) although windows still lists it as 'responding'. It does this with all three versions of itunes I have downloaded whenever I try to install. The older versions are removed from the hardrive. I'm at a loss of what do do.
Along with this, my shuffle isnt working properly. It says it has a full charge, but does not work. When i put it in the 'play' mode, the green light comes on, and it looks like it will work. But when i hit the actual 'play ' button, the orange and green light on the front of the shuffle blink rapidly, and do nothing. I've tested it some, and it isnt on hold.

Trying to install Turbo Tax (not the first year) and it says I have zero KB available. I have 8GB of memory installed.

How can I be out of application memory? What can I do to fix this? TIA

Ok, I think we have been talking past each other or not really understanding what each other is talking about.
When you say you have 8 GB installed and 5.93 GB free, you must be referring to the memory, and I was interpreting this as hard drive storage space.
My copy of TT (Premier) says it needs 1 GB memory and 360 MB storage space...so yours should be similar depending the edition you are using.
The hard drive storage space should not be an issue unless you have your hard drive completely full so we will ignore that.
Now TT wants to see 1 GB of memory available, but for some reason is not recognizing the 5.93 GB you report as available. So, go to Finder > Applications > Utilities (may be Other on some systems) > Activity Monitor and double click to open. Click the button top center of the window for memory and see what the numbers are in the lower portion of the window. The Wired, Active and Inactive should add up to the Used amount. Which then leaves the Free number (mine says 5.85 GB at the moment) using only Safari and Activity Monitor and the Mac OS X stuff.
Keep Activity Monitor open and reinsert the TT DVD and try to install, since that is what you said was not working. As a sanity check: do you have Mac OS X 10.6.8 as your equipment says you have? TT has to see at least that Mac OS X version.
