Space between headings in scripts

Hello Friends,
I am trying to adjust the headings in a sapscript . The problem is i dont need a tab between the two headings instead I need a space so that they are formatted as needed . i know for tab we use ,, What do i do for space ?
Please advice .
Thank you

You can give space between two heading text, but to get more precise format suggest you to use TABS as this would help in alligning the item detials along with the column headings.
For example:
*     Header1        Header2         Header3

  • Batch Script using System Varriable for Hostname and FQDN results in large space between

    I have a batch script running on Windows 7 that I've created to help a physical computer, connect to his virtual cousin.  Problem is when I try to make
    it use the FQDN (required by the View Client) it puts a large space between the hostname and the domain.
    Result
    ECHO Connecting View Client to PREFIX-SERIAL .domain.comOR"C:\Program Files\VmWare\View.exe" -Args -serverURL PREFIX-SERIAL       .domain.com
    Our computers are named a combination of a prefix and the serial number.  Our virtual computer names are the same, but with a different prefix.  So my attempt was to make a connection
    script, using the computer serial number.  My Process:
    Setting %serial% variable.
    for /F "skip=1 tokens=*" %%b in ('wmic bios get serialnumber') do if not defined serial set serial=%%b
    Set %hostname% variable.
    set hostname=PREFIX-%serial%
    Installation command line
    "C:\Program Files\VmWare\View.exe" -Args -serverURL %hostname%.domain.com
    That results in the output at the beginning of my post.
    I've also tried
    %hostname%.%userdomain%.com
    PREFIX-%serial%.%userdomain%.com
    PREFIX-%serial%.domain.com
    SET FQDN=.domain.com
    PREFIX-%serial%%FQDN%
    %hostname%%FQDN%
    I also tried carets and quotes on set commands without any improvement.
    I'm sure I'm missing something simple here.  Any advise?
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

    Will something like this get you what you are looking for?
    (gwmi win32_bios).SerialNumber+(gwmi WIN32_ComputerSystem).Domain
    Or
    $hostname=(gwmi win32_bios).SerialNumber+"."+(gwmi WIN32_ComputerSystem).Domain
    Sorry just realized your looking to do this in a Batch file...so maybe something like this
    @echo off
    for /F "skip=1 delims=" %%j in ('powershell "[System.Net.Dns]::GetHostByName((hostname)).HostName"') do (
    set Host=%%j
    goto :DONE
    :DONE
    echo %HOST%

  • How to reduce the space between to words in Scripts?

    Hello Friends,
      How can I reduce the space between to words in Scripts?
    Thanks & Regards
       Sathish Kumar

    use &ekpo-ebeln(C)& it is for reducing the space...
    if you are trying to codense the space in prog  and then want to pass that to script use
    condense ekpo-ebeln <no-gaps>.
    <no-gaps> is optional ...so as per your requirement you can use it

  • How do I remove a space between tables?

    In dreamweaver there appears to be no space and the page looks fine, however when I go into
    internet explorer there is a gap between the tables.  I want my image to be
    at the bottom of my table, resting on the footer.
    I have tried for hours to resolve this and I can't, there is still a space between my HR helpline image and my footer.
    I have set all the borders and cell spacing to 0 but nothing seems to work.
    I have not yet got my web site on line so can't tell you what the URL is, but when I go and view source from the internet explorer this is the code:
    <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> </td>
        <td width="430" height="200" align="center" valign="bottom" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="EditRegion2" -->
        <p><img src="../frustrated helpline.jpg" alt="HR helpline" width="331" height="282" border="0" longdesc="http://HR telephone helpline" /><!-- InstanceEndEditable --></td>
      </tr>
    </table>
    <table width="900" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
      <tr bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
        <td valign="top"><img src="images/Core HR Web footer 900.jpg" width="900" height="81" alt="london surrey berkshire kingston" longdesc="http://footer" /></td>
      </tr>
    </table>
    Thanks if anyone can help, I am really new to this.

    Regards,
    Sreedhar.

    hi,
    we can give space in the smartform in the same way as in the scripts with two commas one space can be given.
    when u click on the text in the window ,
    there in the general attributes at the left hand side u can find a small icon for editor in that u can define the spaces with the variable to be printed in &var&.

  • In Adobe forms - the space between items more

    Hi Experts,
    While displaying the ouput through adobe forms , the space between the items is more.
    Please suggest me how to reduce the blanklines inbetween the items.
    Even I made the subform content as 'FLOWED' and also in context for some fields i added condition if TB_ITEM-TEXT NE space ..
    I tried by Events with scripts as,
    if ( $.rawValue eq null )
    then
    $.presence = "hidden";
    endif
    still space between the items is not reduced. Please help me out from this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Priya.

    Hi Ankit and Rajeev,
    Thanks for your reply.
    As ankit said,
    In print program by using read text function module  am capturing item texts. If item text exists am setting flag .
    with that flag, in adobe form in context am checking condition if flag field not equal to space then it will enter for item text field.
    even after this..item texts not exists but in the output spaces are not truncated.
    Rajeev,
    My requirement is for body page.
    My output is like this :
    In table am dispalying matnr, desciption, unit of measure , quantity , amount ....
    10 8910047 CILPENETR PC 30 20,000
         ab
         abc
    20 22447   VALVE     PC 20 30,000
    in the above format 10 and 20 are line items.
    inbetween this line items ab, abc are the two text fields which displaying material Sales text and Itercompnay text.
    if items texts not exist,
    I want output should get displayed as like this,
    10 8910047 CILPENETR PC 30 20,000
    20 22447   VALVE     PC 20 30,000
    inbetween 10 and 20 spaces should be truncated if those fields value is empty.
    In subform Pallets -> Object -> Subform, alreday its 'Flowed' and Flow direction as 'Western Text'.
    Please help me out.
    Regards,
    Priya.

  • How to eliminate space between rows in my gallery?

    I have been trying for days to figure out how to get rid of the space between these rows. Padding and margins for the gallery as well as the rows individually have been set to zero. What are those markers (circled in red)? They seem to indicate the break between rows...
    Thanks for any help...

    There is no need to have your gallery in rows, or have each element inside it's own div with class. You can make this much cleaner by making a list - like your menu.
    Your issues were caused by the large amount of <p> tags (which have margins and padding by default) and the fact each image was wrapped in a <h2> tag (which should only be used for headings and also has a default padding and margin). Add to this the <blockquote> and you have a bit of a difficult scenario.
    I have cleaned the gallery up for you. Use the HTML below, with the CSS provided. You will need to clean up your CSS afterwards as a lot of the classes you don't need - at least for this page. Another thing is you have 3 containers for the gallery - content2, galleryframeformovie and gallery. Why? Remove the movie one and place the gallery div inside the content2 div.
    HTML
    <div id="content2"></div>
    <div id="galleryframeformovie">

  • Space Between Tables For No Good Reason

    Hey everyone.
    I sliced up my web design in Photoshop and imported it into DW.  So far, so good.  Everything looks perfect.  Then I inserted a .swf into one of the tables and started to see a little bit of space between my tables.  Since the .swf was the same size or slightly smaller than the space it occupied, I have no idea why this happened.
    To make matters worse, when I made my navigation text into links, I got ugly blue outlines around them and even MORE empty space between my tables!  I didn't move anything, but the space just keeps getting worse!  Does anyone have any thoughts?

    e.g.

    This is often because a site has not been defined in Dreamweaver so DW does not know where the web site is in relation to the images on the hard drive so it has little choice but to directly link (locally) to the image on the hard drive.
    Have you defined the site in DW?

  • White space between header and main content

    Just because something is created in DW CS3 doesn't mean it's
    not a
    disaster, any more than using DeWalt power tools guarantees
    that my
    carpentry won't be a complete mess. The software is not a
    replacement for
    skills. It is a tool; your workflow and understanding of HTML
    and CSS is
    what allows you to use DW effectively.
    So why did I call this page a disaster? When I see all that
    extra markup,
    spans, and inline tags, I shudder. It's way too hard to
    troubleshoot. You're
    not doing nearly enough with descendant selectors; instead,
    most of your
    code is inline, despite a huge CSS file.
    Just one example: individual li tags with div align="center"
    inside of them.
    Way overkill. If you're centering all the li text in a given
    list, control
    it with CSS and kill all that extra markup.
    E.g.
    .MenuBarHorizontal li { text-align:center; }
    In fact, if all there is in that .MenuBarHorizontal is the
    list, you don't
    even need to specify the list in the CSS. Just do:
    .MenuBarHorizontal { text-align:center; }
    Now you don't need div tags inside your li at all.
    And if all of those a tags in that menu are going to be
    .style16 class,
    don't specify it on each link. In fact, don't even have a
    .style 16 class.
    Heck, since it's just specifying font size, you don't need to
    target the a
    tag at all. Just add font-size:x-small; to the
    .MenuBarHorizontal ruleset I
    gave you above.
    The above are just examples from a quick glance at your code.
    On the whole,
    your markup and approach to styles are largely wasting the
    power and point
    of CSS.
    In addition, several styles spanned onto one line of text...
    a sure sign
    that either you are using far too many styles to make design
    sense, or else
    you've got styles that overlap each other.
    Here's my advice: Until you get a better handle on CSS, don't
    style things
    as you go. Forget styles altogether at the start. Create a
    very clean HTML
    markup and put ID and class selectors on things you know will
    need them.
    Preferably, place the HTML elements in the order you would
    want your page
    read if styling did not even exist, nesting elements where
    necessary.
    After you have created all the HTML structure, then go back
    and style the
    elements via CSS only. You will end up with less page weight
    and far cleaner
    code to decipher, not simply in terms of length but in terms
    of conflicts
    and redundancies.
    If you're really insistent on styling things as you go, at
    least do this:
    don't create a new style every time you want to accomplish
    something. Create
    CSS rules for IDed containers and container classes. Then as
    you go along
    and are about to create a style, ask yourself where you are
    and what all
    this new rule needs to apply to. Specify the rule there,
    under the selector
    you've already created. Then you won't have .style1 -
    .style16 like you do
    now, and you won't have all that inline mess of code to sort
    through.
    Finally - as you create your CSS, discipline yourself to
    avoid style spans.
    They are necessary on the odd occasion, but very rarely.
    Think semantically
    (i.e. purpose of the style point you're making at a given
    time).
    For example, if you're tempted to create a span in order to
    put something in
    bold red, ask yourself: "Why?" Generally, it means you want
    to place special
    emphasis or strength on that. Well, in that case you don't
    need a span. You
    need to be using the proper tag, such as <em>
    (emphasis) or <strong>. Then
    you can style that tag in CSS. That way, what you have in
    your page actually
    makes sense apart from the style, and as a bonus you can
    apply or edit your
    style easily.

  • Inserting non-breaking spaces between specific word combinations

    Hi all,
    I'm a bit of an InDesign novice, and need to work out an efficient way to automate a typesetting job. The story is that the work we're publishing is in the Maori language, and there are certain word combinations that are separated by spaces but need to be typeset so that they don't break across a line. When you import a doc file the line breaks can be anywhere, of course, and we've previously gone through and checked manually that all is well, with any changes that need to be made being done by hand (with changes cascading through the rest of the paragraph, of course). As you can imagine, this can be pretty time consuming, and it's all wasted if the client then asks for the font to be slightly larger etc.
    I'd like to help avoid this by running a script that finds and replaces the space between certain words with a non-breaking space. We're currently producing a list of the combinations where this will occur. Are you guys able to show me how to produce a script that will replace "word1[space]word2" with "word1[nbsp]word2", "word3[space]word4" with "word3[nbsp]word4"...?
    Thank you for any help you can offer!
    Stephen

    simplest way: use findChageByList script provided by Adobe.
    the syntax for the list should be like this:
    text[tab here not space]{findWhat:"word_one word_two"}[tab here not space]{changeTo:"word_one^Sword_two"}[tab here not space]{includeLockedStoriesForFind:false, includeLockedLayersForFind:false, includeHiddenLayers:false, includeMasterPages:false, includeFootnotes:true, wholeWord:true, caseSensitive:true, kanaSensitive:true, widthSensitive:true, ignoreKashidas:true, ignoreDiacritics:false}
    add as many lines as needed and adjust preferenecs to your likings.

  • Gaps and spaces between slices in Dreamweaver

    I'm running OS X 10.5.8 on a MacBook Pro, using Photoshop I created my webpage ( with the predefined html specs) and sliced up the areas I wanted to make links. using Photoshop I created my webpage ( with the predefined html specs) and sliced up the areas I wanted to make links.
    This is OK for quick mock-ups but it doesn't work in the wild because graphics apps produce terribly rigid code that falls apart when you try to edit it later.
    For best results, use Photoshop for images only.  Save for web to your DW Local Site folder.  Use DW to build your HTML and CSS code.

  • How to manage the space between a table and its title?

    Have tables where titles are very close to the main text and need a couple of points to separate these elements. How to reshape this space?
    1. Titles were separated by a return that is not  visible...  (any code is revealed by ID)
    2. When a Return is inserted after the title, nothing happens aparently, but this return is now visible and could be used as a «paragraph space after» value:
    3. A solution could be Grep to catch the end of paragraph assigned to titles to insert a return;
    but Grep only catches the right border of the table (the yellow mark shows the big blinking cursor);
    Grep cannot see the end of paragraph in the tables's title.
    It another method?
    Basically, how to modify the space between a table and ists title

    I think you and Bob are not in synch here.
    Bob suggested that you could use paragraph spacing, but for that to work you do need to use separate paragraphs for the title and table, which you don't seem to be doing. Using GREP to find the end of the paragraph only works if there IS and end to the paragraph. As far as I know there is now meta-character to use in Find/Change that would allow you to find a table and insert a paragraph break ahead of it, but I bet it could be scripted.
    I'm not quite sure what you were trying to find in the GREP you posted. Did you actually have a paragraph return inserted already after the title? In that case you only need to redefine the style for that paragraph to add the space (or redefine the style for the paragraph that holds the table itself). You don't need the GREP. But the reason it does nothing is that you've found a location -- the end of the paragraph, but haven't found any actual text to modify. To do anything you would need to use something like .$
    But back to NOT having a separate paragraph... If you put the cursor in any table cell and go to Table Options > Table Setup tab you'll see fields to set space before and after the table that should do what you want. That was the second part of what he posted.

  • How do I get rid of the 1/16" space between my igoogle homepage and firefox ribbon?

    I am currently running Firefox 4 and have igoogle set as my homepage. Both with the previous version of Firefox and with the new one I have about a 1/16 inch blue gap/space between the top of my igoogle homepage and the bottom of the Firefox ribbon/header. How do I get rid of this eyesore? It is only when I am on my igoogle homepage that this is a problem. All other pages are seamless.

  • Read from Text File.vi adds spaces between characters

    I'm openning a text file in LabVIEW, and and need to parse some information from it.  However, when I open the file, there are extra spaces between the letters.  When I just open the same file with Notepad or Wordpad, the spaces are not there.  Is there a way to eliminate this problem?

    And, since after the \FF\FE, every other character is \00, you can even do a homebrew quick&dirty solution.
    Are the files always like that, or are some "normal"?

  • How to remove space between pages in Oracle Reports 6i?

    Hi,
    I have customized one oracle report (rdf). Earlier, the standard report was showing the ouput in pages i.e. there exists space beteen the pages. But I want my custom report in such a way that it should show me the result in one page i.e. there should be no space between the pages as user wants to spool the output into excel sheet (xls format) after getting the result output obtained from my custom report. Presently, when i spool the data into excel sheet, there is still the space exists between the pages like...few records will come then white space...then records.
    How can I remove this space, so that user can easily spool the data into excel without existence of white space.
    Any sort of help on this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    My report is running on Unix. When I checked the output file in unix where it is getting generated, i saw ^L characters wherever the space appears when i see the output in apps (notepad) , like after every page where I am able to see the space in my output, there ^L is appearing in output file in unix, so how can I avoid this.
    I tried to adjust the frames and repeatinf frames also, even i tried changing the properties also of main region (body), but nothing is working for me and still the same issue occurs. I am not aware of this. Please suggest me.
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards,
    Sumir
