SPATIAL_RELATE DOES NOT WORK ON VIEW ?

The following statement does not work correct - it claims that there are no spatial indexes. The view is very complex (including union all). The view is put into user_sdo_geom_metadata.
Whats wrong ?

This might be related to bug 3561140 - we are working with the appropriate folks in Oracle to try to resolve it. If you can post your view definition then we can try to ensure this is fixed at the same time (a small test case would be appreciated).

Search help does not work when view context is mapped to comp context

Hello,
I am trying to display search help for an input field of a view. The context to which the input field is bound is a node with an attribute. I have specified Dictionary Search help for the attribute. Now when I execute the application, I am able to get the search help in the screen.
But, I need to map this view context node to its comp controller context. When I do the mapping, the search help does not appear when executed.
It would be a great help if someone can point out an answer to this.

Follow these steps:
1.Delete the context node/attribute which is bound to search help from the View.
2.Now Save metadata.
3.Perform Context mapping again .In the Edit Context Mapping window drag the node/attribute FROM RIGHT PANE TO LEFT PANE and select the entry.
4.Delete the Input Field from the view.
5.Save again
6.Close NWDS and reopen it.
7.Create input field again and bind it to the context element.
Hope this solves the problem.

SELECT does not work in View

I have a select that runs well alone, but when i want to create a view with this select, i get the error "ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended".
The select is of form
select
col1 as "one",
null as "two",
UNIONALL
select
abc as "one",
def as "two",
order by "one", "two"
the select alone works as expected. i also enclosed the select in "select * from ( ... )" and moved the order by outside. but it still has this error.
if i leave out the order by, the view creation works. but why? the select itself also works with the order by ...?

1) In Oracle 8 you could not use NULL as a column. You have to put to_char(null) or to_number(null). But in 9i you can use null without translation function. Also you can use ORDER BY, in 9i, in a view.
I did all what you said, on my 9i database, and it worked properly. So, I do not "obtain" that error.
2) Try to create the view without using double quote for aliases, even though it is correct what you've done.
3) Maybe is a stupid advice, but I dare:
Are you sure you haven't a comma(or something like this) before the order by clause. The explanation for this message error, in Oracle 8, is:
"ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
Cause: The SQL statement ends with an inappropriate clause. For example, an ORDER BY clause may have been included in a CREATE VIEW or INSERT statement.ORDER BY cannot be used to create an ordered view or to insert in
a certain order. Also, an improper SQL ending occurs if IN clause is used with only one argument (IN(X), for example). An IN clause must have two or more
arguments.
Action: Correct the syntax by removing the inappropriate clauses. It may be possible to duplicate the removed clause with another SQL statement. For example, to order the rows of a view, do so when querying the view and not
when creating it. This error can also occur in SQL*Forms applications if a continuation line is indented. Check for indented lines and delete these spaces."
4) You can try to report bugs on metalink at the patches section.

Print icon on toolbar does not work

Recently bought new computer running W7
Use acrobat to print postage labels on royal mail site
Have latest version of acrobat and when screen comes up showing label to be printed the 'floating' toobar appears but clicking on print icon has no effect
I am forced to used 'CTRL P' and then 'enter'
Occasionaly CTRL P gives me another toolbar at the top of the window which also has a print icon, this does nothing either
Can anyone suggest what is going wrong, should I go back to an earlier acrobat that worked fine on my old XP PC ?

Yes you are correct using a PDF in browser to print post labels.
Running Windows 7, Internet explorer 9, Acrobat Reader Version 10.0
CTRL P brings up dialog box OK and I can print from there.
Cannot comment if problem happens outside of browser as it is home
computer and do not have need to view PDF's offline but will find thsi
out if important.

Help viewer does not work after update to 10.4.4

Since updating to 10.4.4 my Help viewer does not work, and all of the troubleshooting fixes suggested in other threads have not had any success in resolving this. I've noted that when I go to Users>Library>Documentation>Help there is no mac.help file - can someone tell me if that means that I've lost the file altogether and need to reinstall it? I get to the first screen of the viewer, but the links from there don't work. Thanks for any help that you can provide!

Thanks for your suggestion. I downloaded OnyX and ran the cleaning function. After restarting, I opened Help and once again the first screen appeared fine. But again most of the links did not work, though those under the "What's New" heading did work. I might add that I had previously tried a variety of suggestions posted in another thread, which included deleting from the caches folder in Home>Library several files such as com.apple.helpui and help.plist in the Preferences folder. (As noted in my previous post this evening, I also created another user but that also did not have any effect.) Any other ideas? Thanks

In addition, I have gone thru all the recommended checks with universal access and have booted from snow leopard dvd and the left arrow still does not work.
I have tried using the left arrow key in all of applications I use such as: excel, ms word, address book, calendar, iphoto, terminal, & highlighting an icon and using the arrows to move to another selected icon.
Here is the kicker! In addition, I purchased a logitech solar bluetooth keyboard and the arrows work fine with my ipad but do not work when paired with the macbook pro. All other keys work fine on the macbook pro using the bluetooth keyboard.
I believe this says that the problem is not in my macbook pro keyboard. So where can it be?
Can anyone think of any other rabbit holes I can search?

I would also like to add that I've reverted the two cd drive and hard drive mods I did and the laptop is back to factory hardware and there is 0 corrosion or mold visible.

In Hyperion Planning, smart view does not work

In Hyperion Planning, when viewing the form , the link icon to Smart View (to view the data in Smart View) at the top of the screen does not work.
When I clicked on smart view icon on the top of the screen, Excel opened but there were no connection showed in excel and not able to forms in smart view.

Thumbnail view for Library copied from Asset Library does not work

I created list definition based on Assed Library (I copied files from \15\TEMPLATE\FEATURES\AssetLibrary\AssetLibrary ) - I reused schema.xml and other files.
Then I added my new custom content type.
The problem is following: thumbnail view does not work now ( "/AssetLibraryDemo/Forms/Thumbnails.aspx" )
I don't have any javascript errors and any specific error in ULS log.
Can you give me advice, why thumbnail view has stopped working?

Popups: Navigation from view to window does not work

Hi,
I open a second window as popup. This window has 2 views embedded, displaying view1 first. On some actions I would like to navigate to view2.
Defining an outbound plug on view1 and an inbound plug on view2, connecting them and firing the outbound withith the onaction works absolutely fine.
However, for some reasons I would like to avoid a direct navigation, but would like to navigate from view1 to the popupo window and from there to view2 (or maybe another view, ofcourse also embedded in the same popup window). Unfortunately I fail on this scenario - I can fire the view-to-window plug, but the destination on the window side (handle in method) is never reached.
Since the same concept works fine on non-popup windows I wonder whether a navigation from view to embedded window does not work for popups?

no, just one window.
The first link is view1 -> window, the second window -> view2.
I.e., I fire in the view the outbound plug, which is connected with its window.
In the window I fire an outbound plug, which is connected to view2.
In theory this should work - for non-popup windows I do not have any problem at all, however, for popup windows the navigation from view1 to the window is not processed.
In the meantime I played a little bit further: Instead of firing a navigation from view1, I now fire an event defined in the component contoller, on which an event method is registered within the window. Doing so, I reach the window, which I didn't reach via the navigation link. Once in the window, firing to view2 works just fine ...
Hope the issue is a bit clearer now. Also I found a solution, I am surprised that the simpler way via navigation does not work.

Open a view twice does not work

I have a problem with bsp-views:
I open a new window via the JavaScript command

If I close this window via the 'X' on the upper right corner of the window and want to open the popup again it doesn't work. This JavaScript command passes correctly but no window is opened.
If I close the popup via a button where a submit is made to the calling (parent) document and open it again, everything works fine.
Now I have two questions:
1. Does anybody have an idea why the popup cannot be opened again?
2. If not, I would like to make a submit if the popup is closed by the 'X'. I tried this in my bsp-view:

2) then in your view put the following;

Two-side View as Preference does not work

Two Side View ist set as Preference (Edit-Preferences-Page Display - Page Layout- Two-up) but does not work when opening a File. Has to be set manually every time (View-Page Display) - any suggestions? Acrobat Reader 11.0.3

Klaus, I beg to differ: Any capable graphics app. should succeed in opening them, but the files themselves should open in the app. the user has assigned to them—usually the one whose icon they carry—and only in that app. Computers are supposed to do as they're told.
First off, assure yourself that all your maintenance is up to date: MacJanitor, or Onyx or … the like and permissions repair have helped me w/ this sort of issue.
The other sorta helpful note is that apparently there's more than one flavour of some file types like .pdfs, JPEGs and such. The helpful advice I got was to be prepared to "Change all" a few times w/ common types before Finder would finally get my drift. With Apple in the mixed up midst of file recognition by type and creator codes (old style) and by extension (their style) as well as by meta data (new style) it's a wonder anything opens, and no surprise that the Finder's 'sytsem' hiccoughs disappointingly often.

Are using Apple's camera connection kit with the SD reader that came with the kit, or are you using a third-party kit ? Also what type of card are you using : SD, SDHC, SDXC ?
The message doesn't relate to the battery level of the iPad. Only a relatively small amount of power is supplied to the iPad's dock (it used to be higher), so a lot of other card readers can't be used with the kit because they require more power in order to operate.

Why when viewing Hotmail the "Close Ad" does not work?? Unfortunately Tested OK with I.E.

Why when viewing Hotmails for example the inbox there is a "Close Ad" clickable feature that allows the inbox to go full screen.
