Special GL indicator issue
Hello All,
My user wanted to post customer credit memo using special GL indicator. He wanted that the Payment term field to be visible in the document. However, the payment term field is suppressed. The filed Due Date is required. Is this a SAP standard that if we indicate Special GL indicator the Payment Term will be suppressed? Or is there a way to sue special GL indicator at the same time, the Payment Term field is not SUPPRESED (visible)?

Hi,
Payment term only comes into picture only when you are posting normal transactions.
When there is a special GL transaction, there is no question of payment terms, but we are making an advance or down payment.
To clarify more on the Special GL indicator use, you may please refer to help.sap.com

Error while using Special GL indicator H for Customer Down Payment
Dear Friends,
I have configured the Special GL Indicator H (Security Deposit) for Customer Down Payment received. I also make the necessary settings in OBXY for assignment of Special GL against the reconciliation account.
When I am doing the Customer Down Payment entry through F-29 using special GL indicator H system giing me the following error message
Special G/L indicator H is not defined for down payments
Message no. F5053
Diagnosis
The specified special G/L indicator is not classified as "down payment" or not listed in the list of the target special G/L indicators for indicator "F".
System Response
The entry is not accepted.
Procedure
Enter an allowed special G/L indicator or initiate a change of the default settings
I also check the configuration again but still systems is giving me the same above error.
Kinldy give me the solution or way of doing this ASAP because I am working in an implementation Prj.

I have made the necessary changes in Special GL Indicator F in their properties I assign target spl GL indicator H but while in spl GL indicator H when I assign target spl GL indicator F system gives me following error
Delete target special G/L indicator
Message no. F4137
Diagnosis
In the SAP system, you can only use "Target special G/L indicators" with "Down payment/down payment request" when "Noted item" is also selected at the same time. These requirements are not fulfilled in the special G/L indicator "H".
Procedure
Delete the specified target special G/L indicator.
Effects on Customizing
You can define when this system message is to be issued in accordance with your requirements.
You do this in Customizing as follows: Cross-Application Components -> Bank Directory -> Change Message Control.
The application area and message number can be taken from the technical documentation.

please have a look at the following steps that usually have to be followed to post bill of exchange:
Step 1: Customer invoice by FB70
Step 2: Bill of exchange issue by F110
Step 3: Bill of exchange presentation by FBWE and file creation.
Step 4: CREDIT MEMO POSTING
When the bank credits the account with the amount of bank receipts, it
is necessary to carry out a manual collection posting: Debits: Bank
current account; Credits: Bank - Bank receipts for collection account
Step 5: ACCRUAL
The accrual can be executed according to two different methods:
A. Manual: transaction F-20;
B. Through the running of program RFWOBL00 (by means of a daily job).
This is what the report does:
- it posts the accrual;
- it posts the risk;
- it reverses the previous overdue risk;
Step 6: FAILED PAYMENT
If the bank notifies a failed payment, it is necessary to re-open the
credit towards the customer as well as to remove the risk.
The SAP system manages this procedure through transaction FBZG.
The reference program is RFBITB01.

Can we add special stock indicator O to mvt. type 201 ?

You will not be able to add Special Stockindicator O to 201, even of you copy the movemnt & create a new movemnt , you will not be able to add the new entries.
Best way is to get back the Stock into Unrestricted use using 542 & then Post the goods issue using 201.

Special stock indicator taking wrongly
Dear All,
I have a problem while creating production order for MTO scenario (strategy 20 ).
In the components overview of the production order, system is selecting Special stock indicator as 1 (Individual customer stock) instead of Plant stock.
So that I am not able to issue the components to that Production order from the Unrestricted use stock.
Please suggest me what configuration settings need to be checked.

Go to MRP-4 View---> Individual /Coll. Indicator --->
Change it from 1 Individual Requirements to 2 Collective requirements.
This will resolve your problem.

Special stock indicator in production order
Hi,
We have a new business scenario from sales department.
For example, A is a MTO item, it has component B & C. Now there is a sales order for A come in, and system create a production order, but there is no enough stock for B. They want to:
1, Allocate C to the production order and other production order or sales order can not take it away via V_V2 or MRP run.
2. Create another seperate purchase order for B and want this purchase order also allocate to this production order.
3. They do not want to use WIP stock because it is difficult to display WIP stock in SAP you know.
I trying to use the special stock indicator "E" for components in production order, and I move C to custom stock via 412 E with no issue.
But when I create a purchase order for B with account assignment "F", it goes to normal stock in MD04. After I post GR for the purchase order, the quantity goes to production order directly, does not show in MD04 and did not reduce the requirement quantity.
If I create a purchase order for B with account assignment "E", it gives an error message "Sales document item is not defined for the transaction. I tried to change the requirement type from "KMFA" to "KE" in the sales order for A, and the production order disappeared, it is not accepted.
How should I define and configure the process?

I suggest you to take a look on the setting "individuall/collective" on the tab MRP4 of the material master.
For both components, you should set the value 1 and system will always plan the components under the sales order special stock.

How to avoid special stock indicator for intercompany sales transitions.
Hi Friends
I have an issue Intercompany sales .if I enter intercompany plant(Delivering plant) in the sales order system is taking special stock indicator and looking for sales order stock.
If I enter company code plant for sales from unrestricted stock, system is not taking special stock indicator.
Please advice how to avoid special stock indicator for intercompany sales transitions.

Special stock is generally determined by the MRP strategy group in the material master of the plant against which you place your order. The strateg(ies) contained in the strategy group will determine the SO requirements type, which will in turn determine whether or not the order is 'account assigned' (special stock).
It is normal to only have one strategy contained in a strategy group. However (and I seldom recommend this) SAP will support multiple strategies within one strategy group. In this case, you could have both MTS and MTO orders against the same plant/material, by manually altering the requirements type in the sales order. This scenario is usually difficult for a planner, and involves additional manual attention to make everything work.
I suggest that your first avenue is to change the Strategy group in the material master of the delivering plant to one that supports MTS. This has a big impact in Controlling and in Production Planning, so ensure that all affected functional groups are aware of what you are doing, and of the resulting changes that they will experience. The transition from MTO to MTS must be carefully controlled.
If you are not a PP expert, I suggest you consult with your local PP expert before embarking on this change.

Special stock Indicator in process order
Hi Guys,
I am using Configurable material via BOM dependency. During sales order pop-up and selection are coming well. I have selected Component A1, B2, C2 with characteristic value. Now B2 and C2 have procurement type "F" and for A1 procurement type was X. After MRP run, saw in the planned order as 'special stock type E" for A1 material and in process order it is not taking plant stock. Instead it is asking for sales order stock and componet view shows Account assignment as "M" and special stock indicator as "Individual customer stock". Now I changed the procurement type as "F" and delete re-create MRP/ BOM re-run MRP........still it is not picking up plant stock in availability, instead now asking for purchase requisition. For B2 and C2, not asking for ourchase requisition as there is plant stock. . Why it is happening and how to solve it?

Special stock indicator for components
Hi,
For a configarable material a sales order is created which in turn creates a production order. Now in this production order for some materials i find that in component overview of production order indicator SP is 1 (Individual customer stock). This happens only in some orders for this material. i have checked the below points
1) Individual collective indicator in material master MRP 4 view for this component is 2.
2) Stock for the component is more that 1000 pieces in unrestricted use which is more than the orders for this material..
3) Planning strategy for this material is 40.
4) Availability check considers the safety stock.
5) BOM Explosion type in customising is not considered in item overview of this component in the BOM.
The issue raised by the customer is that as it comes as a special stock so a purchase order has to be created for this material and till then it is showed in shortage by availability check.

There is no change in the material master sinnce last year. The customer is removing the special stock indicator from production order manually, but he wants to know why this is happening.
Also checked the purchase requisitions created for this component and they have account assignment M and are pegged directly to the sales order.

Cash Journal and Special GL Indicator
Hi All,
When I paid cash through cash journal under advance against expenses it does not ask me any special GL indiacator. So in report FK10n under special GL it does not show anything . However when I make entry through F-02 with posting Key 29 and with special GL indicator for entries related to Advance against expenses it does show in FK10N . So what should I do in cash journal so that it shows report in FK10n under special GL.

As mentioned many times, Special GL is can not be used in cash Journal. Here is a work around.
1. Create a business transaction - Advances to Vendor with entries: Dr. A/p-vendor Cr. Cash
2. Normally, the first step is the set up of Advances in FB60. Dr. Advances to Vendor Cr. A/P-vendor
3. Lastly clear the transaction using F-04. entry would be Dr. A/P - Vendor Cr. A/P-vendor.
4. As you can see, Advances is still an open item. To clear the advances, Dr. Expense/Asset Cr. Advances to Vendor.
If you check FBL1N, no item should be left open with regards to this transaction. I hope it clarifies the issue

Special GL Indicator's you have to declere for special cases like Down payment and Bills of exchange etc..
those tables are stored in different different tables and not in regular tables.
Doc Type
based on document type we will identify that Vendor Invoices , Customer Invoices , memo, JV.
each doc type is having a seperate no range.
FI-gl handled all GL issues.
FI-AR handleds all customer issues.

Rajakumar.kWe use water in the process and we have defined it as a Non stock pipeline material. We do planning in APO to create planned orders and CIF them to R/3. The issue we are having is for APO created planned orders special stock indicator is missing for water component in Order. When we Re-explode BOM in R/3 Special stock indicator "P" is showing for water component in planned order. After converting planned order to production order we are unable to post GI for water component due to missing special stock indicator. Material is not maintained with any MRP views.

BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN not Updating Special stock indicator field
Hi Experts
I am using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to create and then update a Customer Service Order. When am trying to update the Special stock indicator field in the Components Tab(of IW32) through BAPI, its not doing so, and no error is thrown as well.
The required qty and the batch field in the components tab get updated which ensures that the logic am using is the correct one.
Please let me know if anyone has faced such a situation before. Any workaround(some other FM) to update this field is also welcome.

BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN is only updating a field, when you set the update flag also in CHANGE method.
So if you are maintainig the IT_COMPONENT table, you have to put an 'X' into the same field in the IT_COMPONENT_UP table also.
And of course don't forget to commit the modification.

Change component level special stock indicator for Purchase Ord-through CIF
Hai,
my requirement is to change the the spoecial stock indicator at the component level for the PO .
The purchase reqqusition is available in APO system.At the time converiosn to PO, the PO will get created in R/3 through CIF.
When the Purchase Order is getting saved in R/3 then I need to check the component level Special stock indicator(SOBKZ) & I need change its value.
I am currently using the user exit 'EXIT_SAPLCPUR_001' to change the same.in this user exit, I am changing the component level SOBKZ in the table IT_INPUT & I am also setting X in IT_INPUTX table.
But the changes are not reflecting in the newly created PO.It always shows the value 'E' for SOBKZ.
can any one tell me is this the right user exit to change the above value? if yes please expalin me in rdetail on how to change this.

I have tried changing the CP_POSITION-SOBKZ field in the user exit EXIT_SAPLMEPI_006.This one changes the SOBKZ of the item of PO i.e, the change reflects in EKPO table.
What I am looking for is to change the Component level SOBKZ of the ITEM of the PO.The change reflects in RESB-sobkz table.
I think, In the User exit EXIT_SAPLCPUR_001, the field IT_INPUT-SP_STK_IND is meant for this.But this is not working.
Please inform me how the RESB-SOBKZ can be changed?
