Specify Access Database in RemoteApp RDP

Question

I am trying to get Access to open a specific file when launching a RemoteApp.  I am using the following argument when creating the RDP.
 D:\Programs\%USERNAME%\folder\file.ade
Access reports that the file is not available.   It works through a shortcut on the desktop.  Does RemoteApp not recognize the %USERNAME%? 
P.S.  I have tried creating a installer with the same results.

I have followed Michael Rosén's idea and checked that LSU-Tigers was right when he said that the black command window kept opened, which is somewhat annoying. The fix for this and, hence the solution for per-user environment variables restriction is:
1) Instead of executing a batch which contains the command line call to MSACCESS.EXE, simply execute %COMSPEC%, which is an environment variable that resolves to CMD.EXE executable.
2) As command line arguments use the following:
    /C "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 12\MSACCESS.EXE" %APPDATA%\Your-Company\YOURDATABASE.ADE
The only restriction that I have found is that the location for YOURDATABASE.ADE cannot contain any space along the path, nor in the file itself. We use %APPDATA% instead of %USERNAME% but I suppose it will work also with %USERNAME% since both are user envirionment variables.
If your access database does not show up, and it seems nothing works, you can temporarily change /C parameter and use /K parameter so that CMD.EXE does not shut itself after having launched the second process. You can read the error message in the command prompt. If you use /C parameter cmd.exe shuts down after the error is shown and you cannot see anything (maybe only a black box blink).
