Hi,
I understand that it applied first logo to all other sub sites.
Please make sure that you change the logos in the subsites.
If we change the logo in the root site, the logos in the subsites will be changed at the same time.
However, we can change the logo in the subsites separately.
We can go to a subsite, click the Site Sitting-> Look and Feel-> Title, description, and logo->Insert Logo->select a picture, then it will has a different logo than the root site.
Then go to the other subsite, click the Site Sitting-> Look and Feel-> Title, description, and logo->Insert Logo-> select another picture, then it will has a different logo that the first subsite.

I understand that you stay in the Office 365 admin Center, when you click the SharePoint option, you get the error page.
I recommend to enter the URL as below in the Brower to check whether the account can access SharePoint admin Center.

Duplicating sites in share point

Hi,
I'm working on a development sharepoint server and I want to create two seperate copies of the same site.
I originally restored a content database received from a customer and after making a couple of changes to dataset urls and various admin accounts it is working fine.
I now want to create a second copy of this site on the same server.
I've tried creating a new web application and then restoring the content database from a backup of the content database of the site that I want to copy, this doesn't appear to work even if I use the command
stsadm -o addcontentdb -url http://servername/ -databasename dbname -assignnewdatabaseid
This attaches the database but it shows 0 site collections.
I've tried exporting\importing the site (Export-SPWeb -Identity $Site -Path $ExportPath -IncludeUserSecurity). The site is set up ok and all the reports are there, but they don't work.
I've tried changing the dataset url the reports are pointing too but get this error when running my script, or trying to access the report dataset via the website:-

Can anyone tell me whether there is a way around this, or if there is a problem with the approach I'm taking.

thanks for the clarification, that is the conclusion I came to. I have exported and imported but I'm getting this error below when I try to access the reports on the new site.
I've run psconfig and nothing needs upgrading. I've run a trace on the report server database and can see no problem occurring when this happens.

With Power Map you have the ability now to create a video of the tour when you are done. You can then use this video file to share the tour in SharePoint, in Power Points, YouTube, etc.

At this point this is the only way to share the tours unless you open up the Excel file and launch Power Map.

How do I roll up tasks from different sites in the same collection into one task list that can be overlayed onto a calendar or a timeline?

I am working on how to make an aggragate list that I would like to overlay to a calendar, or add to a timeline. There are more than 20 different project sites that have task lists. I created a custom content type for a task list that adds the
column "Major Milestone." I would like to take all tasks that are marked as Major Milestone and have them be displayed on a calendar or timeline on the parent site that sums up all of the Major Milestones in the child sites.
How should I go about doing this? ... and thanks in advance!

Thank you for your responce. I used a content query wp to rollup only the Major Milestones, but am unable to overlay the results to a calendar.. The link you provided is for overlaying different task lists onto a calendar, but does not detail how to
overlay the results from the content query onto a calendar.

Share Point redirects my "sites" link on the O365 Portal main page - help!

Can anyone tell me how to fix an inadvertent redirect?
When I login to my O365 Portal, I am at my main page with the various tiles for Calendar, Tasks, Admin, Sites, OneDrive, etc. When I click on the "sites" tile, Share Point redirects to my "OneDrive for Business" page.
How do I get it back to the "out of the box" default, so that when I click on the "sites" tile, I end up at my Team Site page?

Per my knowledge, when we click the Sites tile, it will redirect us to the page with the sites that we are following
https://xxxxx/personal/xxxx/Social/Sites.aspx.
I recommend to right click the Sites tile and then select the Properties to see the URL of the tile.
In general, the URL of the Sites tile should be
https://xxxxx/_layouts/15/MySite.aspx?MySiteRedirect=AllSites. Please check if the URL of the Sites tile is right.
If it is the correct URL, I recommend to type the URL in the browser directly and then check the results.
In the meanwhile, you can post your question to the forum for Office 365: http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/default.aspx.
More experts will assist you, then you will get more information relation to SharePoint Online.

IPhoto splitting events into individual files with long numbers as names?

Okay so technical first. I am running Mavericks with iPhoto version 9.5.1 on both my MacBook and iMac. I have had minor problems/irritations with iphoto for awhile but recently upgraded to Mavericks and the problems increase. I mainly use iPhoto for organization, I like to do any editing in Photoshop. My problem is that it is splitting most of my events into individual files, so there's one photo in an event, but there will be several pics from that day. They are given names that are just numbers, like 20120219-153730. They have the same date, you an see it below the Title which is the numbers. I checked preferences, it is set to one event per day. I have no idea what is going on. There are still some folders though, so I don't know why it is still affecting some of them. And the Photostreams for the month are still there. I tried switching to Picasa but the way the Mac (or is it iPhoto?) organizes the files on the actual computer is a pain too. They've switched from all the files being in a folder named the date they were taken to a numbered folder within another folder, maybe even in another numbered folder. And there will be one pic in there even if I took 10 that day. That is where the number on the Events is coming from. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it. It is doing this on both of my computers.

Do the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.
Next continue with:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database, followed by Option #1.

'FETCH c BULK COLLECT INTO' for multiple columns.

Hi all... I'm trying to write a bulk fetch for a cursor whihc selects a number of different columns from a table.
To best explain I'll paste some code here:
Cursor:

I've read a lot about how to do this but I can't seem to find a definitive syntax that will work for me.
Do I need to create three different tables to hold the fetched data? Do I need to use a LIMIT clause after the BULK COLLECT INTO for 10000 if I would like to commit here? Where does the EXIT WHEN clause go?

Can somebody tell me the reason why it takes so long when executed by a procedure/Job , Strange is that this problem does not appear on all installation with compareable size of m_testdata on the remote and the local database. On Some installations it runs in less than a second with the "bulc collect into" and in some it takes more than 70 seconds:

Hi,
Have you tried adding the statements in a batch and then executing the batch?
You wouldn't want to add all the records in a batch as it would slow down your client. Instead, experiment to find out what would be the ideal number of records to add in a batch before executing them.

Hi, I have an Oracle 8 on a Unix platform which I access with Java 1.3 jdbc code over the network. I write about 9000 records, each record consisting of three fields with respective lengths of 10, 10 and 1. It takes an extremely long time to put these records into the database, for example 20-30 minutes or even more. Is it normal that its taking so long and if not what can I do to speed it? Tx much,

Join 2 collections into 1 gallery

How can I join 2 collection into 1 gallery without making 3th collection? I want to filter 2 collection and display the result in one gallery and each time one of the collection will be changed  so it update it also in that gallery. If

OK, sorry to hear it won't work for you.   Although this may be helpful for someone else, so I'll add a brief description of what they would want to do.
To collect the two collections into one, and have them be actionable:
Collect(Collection3, AddColumns(Collection1, "From", "Col1"), AddColumns(Collection2, "From", "Col2"))
This will add Collection1 to Collection3, and add a column to it with the value of Col1 in each record.   Then it does the same for Collection2, but adds Col2 to each record instead.
Then, when you want to update a collection, just use an If statement.
Assuming the Unique Record Identifier is called UIR in each collection.
Assuming you want to remove the record from the collection using OnSelect.

Adding Multiple files to many Sharepoint Sites based on the Sites Code (Splitting the data using a code)

I'm pretty new to Sharepoint and wanted to ask a question to see if it can actually do what we need it to do.
We would have a top Site within a collection and under this we would have 400 sites for different sections of the business (External) Lots of teams create documents for all these sites and use the Code of the site in each document so we know what business
site its going to. For example 67890_BusinessReportMay.docx We know this document should be heading to site 67890
We have lots of services sending data to these 400 business sites. If we were to do them manually it would take most of our time to go to each site and upload the documents, even if we could do all the sites documents in 1 multiple upload. We still have
to go to each site to do it
Is there an easy answer to this? At present I have folders to match each of the 400 Sharepoint Sites and I use an Integration Services package to move all the documents into these 400 Matching folders. I do this using the Code at the start of each file name.
If it doesn't have a code its put into an error folder and reported back on.
Then I want something to automatically go through each of these folders and load them into the Sharepoint Sites document libraries.
OR
Say you have 600 files all going to the 500 sites on Sharepoint in one folder. The File contains meta data regarding the Sites Code. Using this you can split the files and automatically pull them across to the Sharepoint Sites without having to go
into each Sharepoint Site?
I'm thinking that you cant do this and I'm hoping I'm wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to move the documents to different sites based on the code in the name of the files.
I recommend to create workflow and set the workflow to start when an item is created to achieve this goal.
As there is no built-in action which can move the documents cross site, we need to use the custom activity 'Copy List Item Extended' which need to be downloaded from

After that, we can create a workflow to meet the need.
Here is the detailed steps to create the workflow:
Create a column in single line of text type(called NO for example) in the library where the documents are uploaded, and input value manually in the column to store the code when uploading the documents. (We can also use workflow to extract the code from
the name of the documents if the codes are always 5 numbers.)
Create a workflow associated with the library and set the workflow to start when an item is created.
Select If current item field equals value, change the settings to be If Current Item: NO equals 67890.
Select Copy List Item Extended, change the settings to be Copy item in Current Item to list at site 67890 URL.
Select Delete Item, change the settings to be Delete Item in Current Item.
Create other conditions from step 3 to step 5 to copy the documents to different sites and delete current documents.
