Spool command  in form builder

hello;
we try this command in sql plus(ok)
spool c:\sample.dat
select * from employee;
spool off
my problem is this possible to include spool command in program units using
form builder.
PROCEDURE mis$atm_dat_creation IS
BEGIN
SPOOL C:\ETPS\PAYROLL.DAT;
SELECT '2146260011460000000'||company_name
||atm_account_number,

,3,LPAD(salary,15,'000000000000')
,2,LPAD(salary,15,'0000000000000')
,1,LPAD(salary,15,'00000000000000')
,salary)||
'900003'||TO_CHAR(effectivity_date,'MMDDYYYY')
FROM atm_transactions;
SPOOL OFF;
SELECT SUM(SALARY)
FROM atm_transactions;
END;
pls helps....

SPOOL is not a SQL statement or a PL/SQL command, it is a SQL*Plus environment command.
Using Oracle Developer, the most efficient way to produce file output is through Oracle Reports, not Forms.

  • HRForms using Form Builder - how to create one spool

    Hi,
    I am using HRForms and Adobe (Form Builder) to create the Payslip.
    The InfoStars do not contain the Dimension EMPLPOYEE. When I run the report I get one PDF document for each employee. If I want one PDF for all employees or one spool doc, do I have to insert the Dimension into each InfoStar ans also ajust the Adobe Layout?
    In the report selections screen I have the option to choose if I want to print per person or all together in one spool. But this doesn't work. I guess the reason is the missing Dimension!?
    Anyone experience in this?
    Thanks and best regards
    Viktoria

    Hi,
    I copied form SAP_PAYSLIP_DE_P. It doesn't work with parameter "Number of Employees per Form (0= All)" = 0. Only with 1. With 1 it creates 1 spool document for each person. I guess that the context of the form and the layout was not created to work for the parameter setting = 0 (all employees in one form).
    Regrads,
    Viktoria
    Hi,
    in between I found out that if you enter a big number in this parameter like '999' one spool document is created but within this there are many pdf documents ( 1 / employee). There is still the problem if you want to have 1 pdf for all employees. There is no standard solution yet but I know that there are customer solutions to create 1 document for all employees or at least have 1 spool if you have to split the run ...

  • Open a form with space on the path with form builder from a batch

    For example, if I try to open a form in "C:\" from cmd with C:\ORANT\bin\ifbld60.exe C:\Form.fmb, I have no problem, if I try to open a form in "C:\Documents and Settings" with C:\ORANT\bin\ifbld60.exe "C:\Documents and Settings\Form.fmb" or C:\ORANT\bin\ifbld60.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Form.fmb, I have some dialog with info and the error FRM-90927 and form builder doesn't start.

    Why is that you want to open a FMB in Form Builder with a Batch file?
    Is it that your application has only one FMB and that you work with only one FMB all the time?
    Cheers,
    PS: And if you must open the FMB through a batch file then look up the Form Builder Help for "Command Line options". It is an excellent resource.

       I have created a FAQ in XML Form Builder and I am using html Editor in the form. I need to give link to some selected text by using "web link for selection" option form the html Editor and I tried but in the iview the text does not appear as link.
    can any one help me what is a problem? or it is bug in Html editor.
    regards
    Yasir Noman

    hi Yasir
    The project you created appear in the KM folder  ( /etc/xmlforms)or the folder based on your settings. You can open the form you created in the km and can check whether the link command is there in the file.You can edit it directly from here to correct the error.

  • Error writing output with iview for xml form builder

    Hi,
    I created a Xml Form Builder's project in which I developed an "Edit" and "ListEdit" sheet.
    I also created an iview for theese in which the code link is:"com.sap.km.cm.xmlform",and the field for Style Sheet for List and for single item are set up correctly,but when I tried the preview the following error message happened:
    com.inqmy.lib.xsl.xslt.XSLOutputException: Error writing output. -> org.w3c.dom.DOMException: Root Element is already present, cannot be appended as a child.
    could someone help me?
    thank's a lot!
    Nick.

    Hi,
    Now I'm confused,what do you mean with create new data? Are users editing existing documents
    (as if they go to a document example.xml > edit) or they are creating new documents (as if they go
    on folder > new > forms)?
    The problem is, in both cases a user would need read/write permissions.
    The normal flow content (data) is created in KM is as follows:
    1. user is assigned to a role
    2. role contains KM Navigation iView
    3. KM Navigation iView executes com.sap.km.cm.navigation component
    4. user chooses New > Form UI command (edit_xml_forms)
    5. edit_xml_forms UI command executes its code (com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.uicommand.cm.UIXMLFormsCreateCommand) and open xml edit for the user
    6. user fill the form and click Save, form is created into folder
    For what I understood so far, your requirement basically asks you to go directly to step 5, it is
    possible to pass a URL that goes directly to step 5, the UI command button, but if you do that
    you won't have a context, so chances that it will work are slim, since a context is required to
    fill the parameters asked by the app (like folder, user, permissions, etc). Even though, in some cases you can
    still pass the parameters via post in the URL but you must know which service/parameters the
    app asks for it, also a URL is static...
    That was the create scenario, I think it's more cons than pros, users would still be
    able to bypass the URL iView created for that, I'd suggest evaluating again if it's really
    a problem having users access cm to manage data
    kind regards,
    Rafael

  • Oracle Forms Builder Customization

    Hi all,
    I am beginning a software integration project and would really appreciate it if you could give me some guidance. Is it possible to customize the Forms Builder IDE and create menu items or buttons with scripts behind them to support something like automated storage and build functions that are linked to Subversion? Alternatively, is anyone aware of a third-party plug-in or application for Forms Builder that will support this? Thanks in advance.
    -S

    Because you have not offered details about which product versions, platforms, or hardware you are using, I can only offer some generic information. However, for the most part, the same concept will apply to all versions and platforms.
    It sounds like what you are looking to do is fairly simple and there may not be a need for using something as complex as the Forms API. Correct me if I am wrong but this is what I understand... you want to:
    1. Generate multiple executable files (FMX, MMX, PLX) from source files (FMB, MMB, PLL)
    2. Copy or relocate the latest source files
    3. Copy or relocate the latest executable files to a production environment
    All of the above can be fairly easy to accomplish with simple scripts. For example batch files on Windows (shell scripts on Unix).
    Generate executable files*
    See My Oracle Support Article 955143.1 for some example code of how to compile with a script.
    Copy or relocate the latest source files*
    Examples of how to determine the newer of two files can be found all over the Internet, but I foudn the following to be quite clear (these are Windows batch examples):
    http://forums.techguy.org/dos-pda-other/835496-solved-how-compare-2-file.html
    This information along with the copy or xcopy command (Windows) can be used to move the latest files to a new location.
    Copy or relocate the latest executable*
    The same as above can be used for these files, however if the production server is a remote machine and not the same machine, some permissions handling may be necessary.
    This search will expose information about copying across network share (mapped drives)

  • Login Screen in Oracle forms builder 6i

    Hello everyone
    I am trying to create a canvas with a login screen and password in oracle forms builder 6i.
    So far I have create the following table:
    CREATE TABLE PASSWORD
    (USER_ID NUMBER(3)
    CONSTRAINT PASSWORD_USER_ID_PK PRIMARY KEY,
    PASSWORD VARCHAR2(20) NOT NULL);
    Inserted the following values:
    INSERT INTO PASSWORD (USER_ID,PASSWORD)
    VALUES (1,1010);
    INSERT INTO PASSWORD (USER_ID,PASSWORD)
    VALUES (2,2020);
    Created a MENU canvas with a LOGIN button TI_USER_ID and TI_PASSWORD text boxes.
    In the LOGIN button i have inserted the following WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger:
    BEGIN
    SELECT USER_ID
    INTO :GLOBAL.USER_ID
    FROM PASSWORD
    WHERE USER_ID = :LOGIN.TI_USER_ID
    AND PASSWORD= :LOGIN.TI_PASSWORD;

    ELSIF
    :GLOBAL.COUNT = 3 THEN
    EXIT_FORM;
    END IF;
    END;
    When i try to compile that it gives an error Bad bind variable LOGIN.TI_USER_ID
    Bad bind variable LOGIN.TI_PASSWORD
    What am i doing wrong?

    when i now press login it gives an error FRM 40735: WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-01403
    i tried to reffer to several items in several blocksi suspect that when you removed the exception it ends up with the no data found error. you need not to remove the exception clause try to bring that back. then try in SQL*Plus to see if your query returns any rows with the same data that you are attempting to use in your TI_USER_ID and TI_PASSWORD block item. if it does not return that is the cause of your issue it will not execute the GO_ITEM() command it will simply go to the exception clause.

  • Form Compiles in Forms Builder but not Unix?

    I have a form that compiles fine in Forms Builder (Version 6.0.8.11.3). When trying to compile the form on a Solaris Middleware Server it fails and gives several errors similar to the following:

  • Forms builder- only displays records created in the form builder?

    Hi there. I am new to Oracle and forms builder. I just have a query. I have created a form and when I run the form, it doesnt display the data out of my database. I can add a new record using the form and it will add it to my database:

    Hello Hell 5981131803
    >
    But it will only display the records that I have added using the form. Example, the first two records above were already in the database. I couldnt view them ith the form, but then I added the bottom record and I could only view that record in the form, but not the others.
    Any ideas why? I think I just dont know how to use the forms builder properly. Many thanks

    Forms starts with an empty screen(no records), only when you execute a query, the records are retrieved from the database.
    This can be done by executing the "execute_query" command.
    This can be done by pushing the button in the toolbaar, choosing the menu item, hitting the function key.
    But it can also be done programmatically in forms code(in a trigger).
    I hope this helps...

  • Unable to run Oracle Form Builder from Designer 10g

    I am using Windows XP with Oracle Designer 9.0.4.5. From Design Editor, I select Run -> Oracle Forms, nothing happen. I am able to open Form Builder manually (C:\ORACLE\904\bin\ifbld90.exe). After I generated a module (form) from Designer, I have to open the FMB manually from Form Builder. In Designer 9i, I am able to open Form Builder from Designer. Is this a bug for Designer 10g?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Thanks for the response, Suresh,
    I believe this is an installation/configuration issue.
    I installed Oracle Developer Suite 9.0.4, which includes Form Builder, Report Builder, and Designer. System Path contains the ORACLE_HOME (c:\oracle\904\bin). I am able to start Form Builder from DOS command (ifbld90.exe). I am also able to start Report Builder (rwbuilder.exe) and Designer (des2k61.exe) from DOS. I am able to Run Oracle Report Builder from Designer, but just not Form Builder. I also checked the Windows registry settings and they seem alright to me.
    thanks,
    Jim

  • Migrating Forms 61 to 10g - Forms Builder Crashing

    We are migrating from Forms 6i to 10g. The application works on a HP-UX box, and since we do not have the necessary setup done in the Unix box yet, we are trying to compile the forms in Windows before-hand to see if we can pre-empt some errors.
    I have written a batch command to compile the 6i forms in windows (Windows XP) by invoking the 10g Forms Builder.
    While it works like a charm for most of the forms (we have around 500 forms), there are a few forms for which the compiler/builder simply crashes. The .err file created for this form has absolutely nothing, it is a 0KB file.
    When I try opening such forms in Forms Dev 10g, and then compile them, the Dev crashes. It gives no indication of the error.
    By crashing I mean that windows throws the error message saying "Application has to be closed. Send error report: yes/no"
    Can someone please tell me if you faced such a problem, and how you went about solving it?

    Try a Compile All ( Ctrl - K ), then Ctrl - T.
    Not sure about XP, but in Vista, the 10g Builder and batch compiler will crash if a PLL Library is not available when the form is compiled.
    Make sure the PLL Library is available, and all its objects compile in the 10g setup.
    If that does not help, then try a semicolon-to-semicolon replace all, then save the fmb. Then restart the Forms Builder, and open the fmb again, and try compiling.
    Here is an old link describing the issue:
