Hello everyone,
How can we write multiple table controls to a single spreadsheet? say i have 2 table controls. I need to write table control 2 1st and below that I have to write table control 1. How can it be done..?

I know how to load multiple tables using the same set of data, but is it possible to load multiple tables using a different set of data for each table? Can someone point me to an example or tell me how to set up the ctl file.

How to edit and update table control into database?

You have to put the following code in the PBO of screen 1000.This code would make the fields editable to make changes in the table control fields directly.
Here there are 3 transactions.For create and change transactions, the fields will be in editable mode and for display transaction,they will be non editable mode.

Once the fields are edited and the save button is pressed,the entered values have to be populated into the Z tables.The code has to written in the PAI of the screen 1000.Here the values from the work area of the internal table are moved into the Z Table. The code will be.

XSU and multiple tables

Hi,
So far I have success using XSU to store an XML file to a single table datawise where each element of the XML correspond to the field name of the table.
But I have couple of questions.
1. I am still using ROWSET and ROW tags in my XML. Can i change it to something meaningful say...PRODUCTS and PRODUCT respectively? If so how can i do that?
2. How do i stored an XML onto more than one table. Each PRODUCT have some linked information to be stored in another table. How can i do this?
Basically this time the XML will look somewhat like this:

search this xml form for 'multiple tables' and you will learn a lot about it. it seems that using XSU you can only to save to one table or a view. Possible solutions are:
1. create a view over those tables. If your view is complex and not
updatable then you can use insteadof triggers with your
non-updatable view"
2. split your mutl-level XML to several single level XML files and save each xml seperately.
3. And another person was nice enough to mail me the following solution, which might be of help. i copy the mail here...
I saw your message in the XML oracle forum, and i've just finished a small project for my company in doing things like saving an XML document to a DB table.
I think that saving the XML document in one or many tables is not different because what you need is to build dynamic SQL queries to update your tables so you need to guess the setter part of the querry.
UPDATE my_table SET column1=value1,column2=value2... WHERE table_key=key_value.
the best way to do the job is to use an XSLT processor, you give it your XML document and an XSL document for filtering the output.
the output of the XSLT processor could look like:

you may need some type conversion, from string to numbers,and dates, and the WHERE part of the query is up to your indexation mecanism
of course you can put the tables primary keys values and names rigth in the yout XML document.
and last you simply execute the Array of queries you have:

execute(Queries[i]) .

How to read mutiple excel columns from clipboard and populate table control

Hi All,
I have a requirement to populate two columns in table control from excel using clipboard. (Copy two columns from excel and then, click on a button on the screen and table control's two columns should be filled).
I am using FM CLPB_IMPORT to get clipboard values.
eg: I am getting clipboard values as val1#val2
val3#val4
where each row is a row in excel and # indicates the columns.
The problem here is that I am not able to split val1 and val2 using the SPLIT statement using # character.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

I have 2 Screens. In First Screen Im entering Plant and Date.
In Second Screen I have 10 Radio Buttons along with Table Control.In table control i have 6 columns.I have to add multiple rows according to radio button selection and for every row it has to carry First Screens Plant and Date also.So, In table Controls table it has to store along with radio button,Plant and Date and the Table control Values.
Pls send me the solution asap.

Table control and a selection screen

I have a requirement where I am supposed to be designing a screen that has a table control with fields
w/selection column       label 1(non-editable)          i/o field(from)        i/o field(to)
w/selection column       label 2(non-editable)          i/o field(from)        i/o field(to)
On searching the forum threads, I found related threads as to how to implement a selection screen (as the I/O fields are similar to select-options) in module pool programming. But mine requires the use of table control and a kind of selection screen embedded into it. Please guide me through this requirement.

If you need to implement a table control on selection screen u need to use a tabstrip as graphic element supports the table control.
So
1 - Step: define a tabstrip with 1 tab only:
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK 3.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF TABBED BLOCK MAX FOR 22 LINES.
SELECTION-SCREEN TAB (25) TABS1 USER-COMMAND UCOMM1
         DEFAULT SCREEN 100.

SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK 3.
2 - Step design the subscreen (in my sample the dynrpo 100) and insert the table control there:

On the Table Control attributes there is a "Selectability" option where you choose one of: None, Single, or Multiple. In your code you then need to pick up which rows have the selection column set to 'X'.

Multiple times Data showing in table control

Hi,
In my pop uo i am having a search input field and a table control for diaplaying search data .
But each time i enter the search button,it shows the same data again and it's getting overlapped back to back .
Means the same no of rows (suppose 20)are displayed one after other .It becomes 40,60 so on .
Can anybody tell me how to resolve this issue .

Please make sure that Is there any logic being implemented in WD MODIFY VIEW of view controller.
If yes that may be the cause of your problem because WDModifyView() is being called every time u perform an action.
or
Try to Invalidate current context node which is bound to table UI element and actually containing data at run time. I think this node is not being refreshed. Try to refresh it in Search Button action.
or
Check your loop code snippet, if you implemented it anywhere.

Module pool transfer of data from one table control to another

Hi all,
I have been assigned to module pool object wherein i have to display table control on screen and that table control contains only 10 rows on screen for display. Now my internal table it_out has 15 rows
Describe table it_out
line v_l.     " v_l = 15.
There is a pushbutton below table control and when i select multiple rows and click on that pushbutton it will navigate me to the next screen containing another table control on which i need to display those selected records.
Now the problem is that when i select first record and move cursor down to select last record then i am seeing only last record on next screen table control. why is it happening? please provide me with solution. For rest of cases it is working fine for example if i select first record and second record then i am seeing both these selected records on next screen table control . Only the problem arises when i tried to select first and lets say last record when scrolling down on table control.
I think the problem is with scrolling but when i loop on next screen with moved records i am seeing that 2 records are their but it is transferring only one record to next screen not the last one.

Hi Parag,
Screen 8002 (with table control) --> select records --> press a button --> move to screen 8003 --> display selected records in screen 8002.
First problem that if you select first record in table control and scroll to end to select the last record, the first record in deselected.
Next problem, that if you select say 3 records in table control you want the to be displayed in another table control, the use this code.
Also take another internal table and work area same as the initial internal table and work area used in screen 8002.
On screen 8002, take a button with function code 'PROCESS', on which user clicks the screen 8003 should display selected records.
Now, use this code, its working:-
Take the names of the input/output fields as work_area-field_name and select column in table control as work_area-flag.
Also take a flag field of size 1 datatype character as the last field in the internal table and work area while declaration.
You must have passed a code in PBO of the screen for reading internal table into the table control.
So it reads the internal table into the table control whenever you perform any action on use command.
All you need to do is to write a code to modify the internal table form the table control while performing any user action.
Remember to change the LINE SEL option in attributes of table control as MULTIPLE.
At Screen Logic:-

Please advise: if it's possible to include a table control in step loop

Dear Gurus,
Currently, our user want to output a result list after calling BAPI: BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATEMULTIPLE.
Because this BAPI could create multiple invoices, and the result is asked to be displayed in a special format (both header information and item information). I just think if it is possible that make the header(text boxes) and item (table control ) in to a step loop.

i have read posts on creating the table control by program rather than using the wizard. i want to try that.. can anyone point me to some good material or let me know the steps or sampl code ??
all i need is
1. a table control to display data from my internal table.
2. user must be able to select/deselect multiple rows
3. there can be a button to sort in ascending and descending order, but then which column ?? can he choose the column ?
4. i need scrollbars in that table control.
5. provision to validate those selected lines. if they dont match the criteria then they must be allowed to select to deselect the rows again !!

in table control wizard we will have a link between the ITAB and the table control automatically. here how do i do that manually ?

Error while trying to change the Column description in Table Control

Hi,
I have created a table control using the wizard in Module Pool.
When i try to change the column description of the table control or adjust any other element which is already available on the screen and not in table control. It gives me an error
Unable to transfer data. End Program?
Any help would be appreciated.

Check these [Table Control Change Column Description|Add new columns in table control in custom screen program;
and [Add Columns in Table Control|Re: Table control columns]
else delete and create Table control Again..!!
