SQL Developer 5 and the export feature

I see it puts the create tables near the end of the script and I noticed that my partititioned tables indexes are there, but the create tables are missing for the partitioned tables.

For me it show the create table, my table is partitioned by Hash .
What is your partition type ?
I don't like the fact the storage clause are missing from the SQL especially for partitioned tables , and there isn't a tab partition statistics.

Hi and Welcome to the Forum!!
To select data from a table or a view you must use the SELECT sql command. Example to get the data from your view you can
select ZMATNUM,ZMATCUR,ZMATATTR from ZMATERIALAs you have said you are using SQL Developer just execute the above query in your sql developer and it will show the data. Right click the grid and export the data to excel file.

SQL Developer is not exporting the time part of date data types.

I need to export data from a table using sql developer. The column is a date data type but when I export the data to a csv, xls or an sql file with insert statements, sql developer only includes the date part without the time.
Please kindly advise.

Sql Developer 3.1 - Exporting a result set in xls generates and empty file

Ever since upgrading to the Production version SQL Developer 3.1 (3.1.07) it appears that there is an issue when attempting to export a result set as a .xls format.
If I attempt to export in .xls format, the exported file is an empty file (i,e no output). When I change the export type to txt, csv or xlsx the results are exported as expected.
This appears to be a bug introduced in the Production version as I was successfully able to perform these tasks on the various 3.1 EA releases.
Am I alone in this, have I misconfigured something or is this a bug?

I keep having problems exporting to XLSX - mostly in cases where the data is voluminous and the format would be preferable over plain XLS as it does not have the 65krows limit ;-{ The data is read to the data grid (sometimes fast, sometimes much slower and "in chunks"), then the "task progress" won't move anymore, and the export file remains empty; If I cancel the task, trying to export again results in a message stating that sqldeveloper still has the output file locked.

Install Oracle XE, SQL Developer, and Toad on the same machine?

I have been trying to install Oracle SQL Developer, Toad, and Oracle Express on my work computer. Installing SQL Developer and Toad was pretty straightforward, and I was able to browse the XE database with SQL Developer. But after installing Toad, problems started. Toad was using Oracle XE's registry settings to locate ORACLE_HOME and oci.dll. So I tried changing the settings for Oracle XE in the registry. Toad now works, but not Oracle XE. And while I was going through this all, I even had a time when I had Toad and oracle xe working, but not SQL Developer. It almost looks like you can choose two of the products, but not all three.
So, my question to the community at large is "Can it be done?". In what directories do you have each product installed? What environment variables do you have set? Where is your tnsnames.ora? What Oracle registry settings do you have set (namely HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ORACLE\KEY_XE)?
I can post my current settings, but I've been through so many iterations that these current settings don't really matter that much.

I don't use toad, but there should be no reason why you can't install all 3. SQL Developer is a very clean install and affects nothing else. It doesn't add to the path, or create any registry entries except for file associations.
A toad installation should pick up your oracle client (in this case the XE code). I am curious as to why you felt you had to change registry settings. What problem were you trying to fix?
My recommendation would be to uninstall everything, clean the registry and reinstall in the order XE, Toad, SQL Developer. Test in between installations and seek help for problems as you find them. Bear in mind that this is the forum for SQL Developer. QUestions about Oracle XE would be better answered in the dedicated forum, or in the Installation forum, and questions about Toad in a toad forum.

SQL Developer and Blocking View of Other Users' Objects

I am using SQL Developer in a classroom environment. My student users can “see” Other Users objects. They cannot modify, but none the less can see the structure and data.
I only want the users to be able to see their own objects. Is there a privilege that needs to be revoked? (In using SQL Plus command line, this was not a problem.)

From sysdba account (sys/system). Run following and verify for that particular user grant is revoked. May be exit from sql developer and log back in or refresh view.
YOu can also potenially revoke all the privs from all non admin uses i.e.r even connect/resource roles and grant them back.
revoke select any table from yourschemaname;
revoke connect from schemaname;
revoke create session from schemaname;
revoke resource from schemaname;
Then just grant privs as need basis
grant connect to schemanme;
grant resource to schemaname;
grant create session to schemaname;

SQL Developer and TOAD connection.

Hi,
I am able to see the DDL script for tables using TOAD, but NOT using SQL Developer (2.1.1). Same user, pass, and tnsname file.
They use same tnsname.ora file on my computer. I set basic and TNS connection for SQL Developer.
The connection is from my computer to the server (Oracle 11.1.0.7 EE).

I don't think it's a connection issue. There seem to be differences in how Oracle and Toad access system views to show objects. If you search the boards you see it has effected a couple of people. Sometimes they post what permissions they changed to get things to work for them.

I don't think I've seen any official documentation to indicate what privileges need to be granted in order to see them thought. And I think there is a bug that prevents generating DDL for tables owned by other users. I don't know if that extends to generating stored procedure code.

SQL Developer and GeoRaptor problem

I have installed sql developer version 1.5.0.52, And in one schema i have spatial data, but as geo raptor in not installed in sql developer so i am unable to see the Spatial data.
So in order to see the spatial data i installed Geo Raptor as below:
Click menu item "Help" and "Check for update"
2. Dialog "Check for Updates - Welcome"
Click on button "Next".
3. Dialog "Check for Updates - Step 1 of 3: Source"
Add new Update center. Click on button "Add" and insert values:
Name: GeoRaptor
Location: http://georaptor.sourceforge.net/install.xml
And sql developer update sucessfully , but after installation of Geo Raptor as well i am unable to find the Geo Raptor tool in SQL Developer.
Could any one please help me that why Geo Raptor tool is not dispaying in SQL Developer.

I am one of the developers for GeoRaptor.
I note that you are using version 1.5.0.52 of SQL Developer.
The current version of SQL Developer works with version 2.1 and above.
Download the latest version of SQL Developer (I run version 2.1.1.64) and reinstall GeoRaptor.
If the install is correct you should see a GeoRaptor menu entry under the View menu pillar. Also, you
should see GeoRaptor commands against the right mouse click menus on tables/sdo_geometry columns.
Let me know if you still have problems.

I installed XE. It asked me to set up a username and password during the install.
How do I login as the SYS user, though?
There is a Connection Name, Username, and Password field when I try to set up a connection in SQL Developer, and I used the username and password I made during the install. I clicked the Test button to test the connection.
I see "Status: Failure -Test failed: ORA-28009: connection as SYS should be as SYSDBA or SYSOPER".
How do I tell SQL Developer "as SYSDBA or SYSOPER"?
Sorry, this is probably easy, and I'm just clueless about it.

Sql Developer and Data Guard enabled instance

I have version 1.1.2.25 SQL Developer and when I try to connect to Oracle 10gR2 instance which is data guard enabled and its logical standby it spits few message, and then connects, but data is not visible from any table.
Is there any way to see data and other code while in logical standby instance which only in read only mode?

only and should be available for query.
In TOAD you can see every thing and when you want to

When I search for a file, A) it asks me if it's a name, or it wont produce anything, and B), its slower than in prior OS versions and in some instances I have to toggle to a different directory and go back to my original directory in the search: menu bar or the search wont produce anything... Very buggy.

It appears to me that network file access is buggy in Maverick.
In my case I have a USB Drive attached to airport extreme (new model) and when I open folders on that drive they all appear empty. If I right click and I select get info after a few minutes! I get a list of the content.
It makes impossible navigate a directory tree.
File access has been trashed in Maverick.
They have improved (read broken) Finder. I need to manage a way to downgrade to Lion again.

ExportPDF is based on a newer conversion engine than the one found in Acrobat 9.0. They're similar in some respects, but ExportPDF is more advanced.

I don't understand your last paragraph.
"The home page also has a full bar ..." What does "full bar" mean? " ... instead of the tray it had before." What does "tray" mean?
Anyway, you might try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
I guess that cannot make things any worse.

i have a output problem that in the invoice out put ship to party and the export partners address is getting over laped and the user asks is there any possiblity to have the output superately for the domestic customer and for the export partner. if so how can we configure it and where do we have to do.

Use a separate output type for domestic and another for export and do the output determination accordingly. You could use the RD00 output type as the std version and assign it to the procedure V10000. maintian the condition records accordingly.
For the export use another procedure V40000. Use another export invoice say FECO or FJIP. This is a US invoice and Japan invoice in the standard.
Change the form to suit your requirement. You may not have to change the print program though to a great extent.
If you have several different types of export invoices then maintain them as condtion records based on country which will then trigger the output type accordingly.
