SQL Query not working for column names with spaces

Hi People..
We have a strange situation wherein, the column name in the database table has a space inbetween like "Constant Name". While we write a JDBC statement code with the select query we get an exception for invalid syntax. It will help us in a great way if you have anything to inform us on this..

Using case sensitive names and names with spaces in it is not a good practice.
However, I believe the SQL standard accounts for this with quoted identifiers. I believe the syntax is
. select "My Field1", "My Field2"
. from "My Table'
Have also seen the following although it might be MS Access specific.
. select [My Field1], [My Field2]
. from [My Table]

Activesync not working for Windows Phone with certificate

We have a new Exchange Server 2013 setup and using activesync. We have setup a policy to require simple password and to send an email to provision a device when it connects. Activesync is setup to use self signed certificates, this was
tested first on the Ipad. Certificate installed entered the settings and the device appeared in the quarantined devices list awaiting to be approved. This was also done on the Iphone and worked.
When putting the same certificate on the windows phone device it errored with there is a problem with {as.domain-name.net} and does not appear in quarantined devices screen.
I tested again with another Ipad and an android device and they work without an issue. Tested with a Windows RT device and got the same issue. If I look in the IIS log files I can see the windows device making a connection then when I presume
to be the error 500 at the end of the line.
This is not a user issue as I can use the same user on the various devices. The windows devices just do not want to connect. We have looked at the certificate but if it works for apple and android devices why does it not work for windows?
Is there any additional security settings that need to be turned on or off for windows phones? Is there something specific on the certificate what windows devices need that others ignore?

I did inital think it might be a widows phone issue but there are no other settings for me to use. I have also tested using a windows 8 surface and I get the same issue.
I have raised the event log level on the exchange server to expert and I have seen 2 messages when I try to connect.
I get Event ID 1100: Exhcnage ActiveSync device requests for your uses are being blocked. This problme frequently occurs when HTTP OPTIONS method is not allowed.
I know it is allowed as the test exchange connectivity worked and passed that test.
The other error Event ID 1309 ASP.NET warning. Part of the exception messge is DeviceTypeMissingOrInvalid
I have come across a comment that says for certificates to work you need to use windows intune or SCCM which we don't have. Do we know if this is true?

Extended Notification not working for Dialog Task with agent assignment

Hi Friends,
I have an issue where I have a user decision step and a sub workflow contains a dialog task with agent assignment.
Extended notification is configured properly and is working properly for user decision step but its not working for the dialog task created as an activity.
Batch jobs are configured to run report SWN_SELSEN.
I was checking SDN and found this discussion handy :

One thing that wonders me is that notifications show up in SOST 4-5 seconds before the user decision step starts execution.

An activity step with agents is supported by the extended notifications if it is a decision task or not, I have used it many times and it works well just no approval/rejection links if it's not a decision task.
From your screenshot you can see that a mail has been created and is found in SOST, usually this cases are problems with the mail server or connection to it, check the mail settings in the SMTP node in transaction SCOT, also check with mail server team if there is a block to/from the SAP server.

Jaydip and Jeff are correct:
<li>Jaydip points out that <tt>"PRICECATEGORY"."PriceCategoryName"</tt> and <tt>"LINEITEM"."LineDescription"</tt> are not valid column alias names. They must be unqualified, nonquoted/quoted identifiers.
<li>Jeff indicates that <tt>WITH ROLLUP</tt> is not Oracle SQL syntax, and provides a sample of the required ROLLUP/CUBE clauseOracle SQL <tt>ROLLUP/CUBE clause</tt>.
Additionally, <tt>TRANSACTION</tt> is an Oracle keyword and therefore a poor choice as a database identifier: change the name of this table as soon as possible.
You're having this problem because not all "SQL" is created equal. Your OdeToCode source appears to be a site dealing with Microsoft technologies (SQL Server in this case). Unless you are very familiar with Oracle and SQL Server and the inherent differences between them you'd be advised to stick to purely Oracle resources (I know I do). There are plenty of good Oracle resources out there.
You'll also find it a lot easier to write, read and spot problems in SQL and PL/SQL code if you avoid using quoted identifiers (please tell us the database objects don't have case-sensitive names?) and use short table aliases rather than full table names. And we'll find it easier to help you on this forum if you post code samples wrapped in \...\wrapped in <tt>\...\</tt> tags.

Table sort is not working for columns.

I am using TableSort.java class. Followed https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/library/user-interface-technology/wd%20java/wdjava%20archive/developing%20with%20tables%20in%20web%20dynpro.pdf
to create the action and assigned that to onSort event for the table. When I run, I see the ascending-descending icons besides the columns, but nothing happens when I click them. Here is the context.

Here Name is a custom string (last name, first name). Also office is a custom string (office1, office2, ...etc).

If you want to do an initial sort. You have to add the following method to the TableSorter class.

In your wdDoModifyView() after initializing the tablesorter class you have to call the above method.

Can you double check in your code if the table is bound to the node "User_Search_Results" and not "User_Table". If the table is bound to the "User_Table" then the sort will not work since in the code you are sorting the node "User_Search_Results".
If you want to implement sort on only one column you can use the alternate constructor for the TableSorter class.
TableSorter(IWDTable table, IWDAction sortAction, Map comparators, String[] sortableColumns)
You have to give a String array of columns that need to be sort enabled.

Query not working for all the material, may be space problem, need help.

Hai all,
I have a query with variable material and date range. we have 60,000 materials.
I am doing the report for the month of feb, year 2007.
When I am executing up to 30,000 material the report is generated, anything beyond 30,000 materials the query is abending with the following message.

SR 044 TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED
00010004 ASystem error in program SAPLRSDRC and form TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED ,

any help in this regard is very much appreciated.
I am thinking it is a problem with space.But not sure what space it is called?! The basis team saw the temp db and found they have lot of space.

This tells there is not enough main memory (not disk space) for the program to run.
- You can look the dump in ST22, it will have suggestions on increasing the ROLLAREA??, you can forward that to Basis.
- Most likely you will not have any more memory to assign so the above may not be feasible. Try to rework your query so it works with less data.

Need a Query that Returns both Column Name with Column Data

Hope someone can assist quite quickly. I'm after a query that will return me both column name together with column data, i.e
Table: APP_INFO
COL1 - currently has the value of 10
COL2 - currently has the value of 'HELLO'
COL3 - currently has the value of 'QWERTY'
COL4 - currently has the value of 2000Query I'm after is to return the following result set: [actual column name, actual column data]

Post the results you want (formatted, between \ tags, of course).
Do you want only the column names that appear in one table or the other, but not in both?
In that case, you can add a condition like this to the WHERE clause:
AND       (   s1.column_name IS NULL
       OR s2.column_name IS NULL

TREX not working for e-recruiting with HTTP content server

We have a separate e-recruiting instance where we have only e-recruiting functionality installed. In this system we are using Storate type as "http content server instead of standard setting "SAP system database" for HR_KW content repository via transaction code "OAC0"

Points to be noted:
1) TREX Search functionality for Job postings etc is not
working with this setting, however if we use HR_KW_CONT (storage type=03 SAP System database) , above mentioned functionalities work. We observed that xml files required for TREX search are also not getting created when we change the settings.
2) We observed that when we change the storage type the indexing job is successful but application log shows some failures in reading/modifying xml files
Please let me know what are the settings/ procedure to use a different storage type instead of standard setting delivered with the product. Anything related to the setting for above requirement

I may have a similary problem but I'm not entirely sure.
I have been tasked with setting up a simple java servlet to authenticate against a BOXI (Business Objects) server, from my tomcat server (tomcat 5.5) on my windows XP desk top machine. I will add more info on this shortly.

Oracle 10g RAC SQL profiles not working for both the nodes

We have identified a long running sql.
Used Advisor to tune the sql
Applied the suggested sql_profile as per the recommendation.
when we re-run the sql from application, due to RAC setup the sql hit the other node, used the sql profile as indicated by v$sql but was long running.
it generated a new sql_id due to which we think it was not working.
Could you please advice how to apply sql_profile for both nodes?

Create Unique Index On Flow does not work for table names 23 characters

I have a "create unique index on flow table" step that is dynamically generated by the IKM.
The index name that is generated by the IKM is based on the table name except that the created index name is prefixed with "I$_" and ends with "_idx". Obviously, since Oracle table names can not exceed 30 characters in length, the index creation step will fail if the base table name exceeds 23 characters.
I have tried to substring the index name generation step in the IKM so that it only uses the first 23 characters of the table name, but have not had any luck with using the "substring" command together with snpRef.getTable call.
This is the section of the IKM that I desire to change:

As the index is temporary, just like the I$ talbel, the easiest way is to replace the table name with some unique identifier like the session is:
bq. I$_<%=odiRef.getSession("SESS_NO")%>_idx
If for some reason that is not unique enough, add the NNO:
bq. I$_<%=odiRef.getSession("SESS_NO")%><%=odiRef.getSession("NNO")%> \\ _idx

Drilldown on Query not working for Transactions(SQ01--Report Assignments)

Hi !
I created for deliveries and through SQ01 -- Report assignment I added two
transactions VL03n And VA03. When I execute the query and double click on the
delievery number it takes me to the particular delivery clicked on in VL03n,
but when I clcik on the sales document and select the display sales document,
it does open the VA03 transaction but does not auto populate the transaction
with teh sales document that I clciked on. Could anyone please explain me why
it does not auto-populate with the sales document number , but when deliverey
is clciked it directly takes me to the particular delivery screen?

Why is this FMS query not working for me?

There is already a FMS query that works in Delivery Pane. The FMS field there is a user defined field called U_NWR_Bin, rom table DLN1. This works fine and it is alpha numeric 10 characters. This FMS is defined in Marketing Documents rows.
I created another user defined field called U_Bin in table PKL1 for picklist row level. This user defined field shows up in FMS in PickList Pane.
I created a query - SELECT $[DLN1.U_NWR_Bin].
I then assigned above query through Shift F2 to Picklist Pane field U_Bin.
The above query is not executed on clicking the lens it gives the error - Internal error -1004 occured message 131-183.
What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thanks.

FMS query can only access the current form. $[DLN1.U_NWR_Bin\] is not valid for PickList Pane.
