SQL Query pricing modifier vs item vs customer

Hi all,
I'm writing a query to retrieve information about price modifier by item and customer. It works fine if the product_attr_value = item_id, but having a very basic knowledge of SQL I don't know how to map the item_id if the product_attr_value = 'ALL' (modifier applied to all items). Could someone please shed a light.
Thanks

Thanks all for replying.
I tried passing it as null value and replacing it with inventory_item_id. it works so far but taking very long to complete.
Below is the script:
SELECT DISTINCT
C.LIST_LINE_ID ADJUSTMENT_NUMBER,
A.ACCOUNT_NUMBER ACCOUNT_NUMBER,
F.SEGMENT1 ITEM_CODE,
B.Name Name, B.Description Description
FROM apps.HZ_CUST_ACCOUNTS_ALL A,

apps.QP_LIST_LINES C,
apps.QP_QUALIFIERS D,
apps.QP_PRICING_ATTRIBUTES E,
apps.MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS F,
apps.MTL_ITEM_CATEGORIES G
WHERE A.CUST_ACCOUNT_ID =D.QUALIFIER_ATTR_VALUE
AND A.STATUS = 'A'
AND B.LIST_HEADER_ID = C.LIST_HEADER_ID
AND D.LIST_HEADER_ID = B.LIST_HEADER_ID
AND C.LIST_LINE_ID = E.LIST_LINE_ID
AND B.LIST_HEADER_ID = E.LIST_HEADER_ID
AND NVL(DECODE(E.PRODUCT_ATTR_VALUE, 'ALL', null),F.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID) = TO_CHAR(F.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID)

  • Populating item using a sql query based on other item of diff table

    Hi,
    It would be great if someone could help.
    I have two items on my form page .
    My first item P1_sub_prog is of select list with submit, it fetches values from table prog "mv_cap_prog_subprog" of the same schema whihc I am using for teh current application.
    I want my second item P1_PROGRAM to be populated with value corresponding to my first item value, after being fetched from the same table on the basis of the first item value (P1_SUB_PROG)
    Both the item values have a relation.
    I tried by creating sql as well as LOV for the second item but its not working.
    It displays nulll in the second item field.
    While using sql I tried the following query
    in the source request of second item i.e P1_PROGRAM
    SELECT DISTINCT a.program_id d,a.program_id r FROM
    mv_cap_prog_subprog
    WHERE SUB_PROGRAM_ID = :P1_sub_prog

    Hi,
    Search this forum for "cascading select list".
    You will find lots of help.

  • How can my SQL query reference a multiselect item

    I am hoping there is a simple solution for this...but suspect (based on other postings) that I must go through several steps.
    I have a simple report page. It contains two regions. An HTML region with one item, a multiselect item containing a SPECIES CODE. The second region is a report region with the query:
    Select trip_id from TRIPS where species_code = :P11_SPECIES_CODE.
    It works when only one species is selected....but (ahha), not when there are multiple species selected.
    Thanks!

    Few things i came across are
    1. You could remove the query where you do COUNT() just to check if data exist before SELECT..INTO. You can use EXCEPTION handling insted.
    2. The condition V_ResponseType = 2 adn V_ResponseType = 5 looks same so you can combine it into a single condition.
    I have modified it like this.
    if (v_billingtypeid = 2) then
            begin
                  select pa.responsetype
                       , pa.payerapprovedamount
                    into v_responsetype

                  if v_responsetype = 3 then
                      v_servicetariff := v_servicetariff - (v_servicetariff * (v_approvedamt / 100));
                  end if;

  • Dynamic sql query question

    hi all,
    i created a report that displays results based on this query initially.
    select *
    from EMP
    where 1=1;
    i'm using a SQL Query (PL/SQL Function Body Returning SQL Query).
    i have search items in my page like empno, lastname, firstname, middle, email_address etc... when i place a value for lastname then in my query it should add AND LASTNAME = :P1_LASTNAME.
    so the query returned should now have
    select *
    from EMP
    where 1=1
    and LASTNAME = :P1_LASTNAME;
    is this possible?
    i was thinking something like looping for all search items in the page (ie. text, popup lov, datetimepicker) then check whether the item is null or not... when not null then probably get the substring of the item name like (ie. substr(:P1_LASTNAME) and get only LASTNAME then add "=" then concat it with the item name. not sure if this is possible though.
    thanks
    allen

    hi denes,
    thanks for the sample... i noticed that the sample hard codes additional conditions to be added to the sql query which is okay when the search criteria is less than 5-10... but i'm thinking if the search criteria will be like 15-30 fields or make all fields searchable, this might be uncomfortable.
    what i was thinking is like loop thru all the items i.e.
    declare
    sql varchar2(4000) := 'select * from emp where 1=1';
    begin
    for i in (select * from all_items_in_apex) -- this is just an example.
    loop
    if i.value is not null then
    sql := sql || ' and ' || i.column || '=' || i.value;
    end if;
    end loop;
    end;
    the only thing is that i don't know if there's a possible replacement for the clause (select * from all_items_in_apex).
    sorry if i'm asking too much but this is how i normally do it in forms. the suggestion in the link you provided should be sufficient but i was just wondering if this idea is also possible.
    thanks again.

  • Force index not getting picked up while running the SQL Query

    Hi All,
    We are facing an issue with one SQL Query. We have created a custom Index and we are using that index in our query by using the following syntax:

  • Using SQL Query Values as Report Parameters

    Why can I not use a page item to pass a value to a report when that page item is populated by a SQL query? If the item is populated as a database item, it can be passed, but not otherwise. Is there a way to work around this problem so that I can pass parameters to a report?

    Hi, Jeff
    Thanks for asking about this problem. This issue involves two tables mainly and others peripherally. I have a person table with borrower names and addresses, and each record in this table has an identifier in a column called IDENT. There is also a loan table with essential data on the loan, e.g.., loan identifier (DKTNR), the amount, interest rate, maturity date, etc., and also the IDENT linking to the person table. The borrower can be identified from any table that has the DKTNR in it by querying the borrower's name from the person table via the IDENT in the loan table. E.g., select borrower's name from loan_table, person_table where loan_table.ident = person_table.ident and the dktnr here equals the dktnr in the loan table.
    I put the borrower's name on each APEX page using this query. I have one table, for example, which stores default accountings (i.e., accountings on loans that have defaulted and, generally, on which the lender has had to expend money to maintain the loan's maritine collateral). The records in this table are identified by the DKTNR. So on the reports page which shows this accounting, there is a non-database_column field (page item) populated via this query. If I want to use the value of this page item on an Oracle report that can be printed, I cannot do so. I place it into a variable (I forgot the name of the variable type, but it is the &PX_ITEM_NAME. type) in the URL which calls the report, but it will not be placed in the report. It is as if I have put a null value into the variable.
    Ideas?

  • SQL Query to update Item OnHand in SAP B1 2005

    hi all,
                  is it possible to write a Update query in sql to modify item OnHand ? is it possible to do that in SAP B1 for UDF?

    if it is possible then kindly send me the query.
    sandip

    hey sandip if u are updatin ur own fields then it is allowed. But if it a field in the sap tables then NO way.. U gotta use the DI API to update these fields.. I u want to reduce the stock the n use the Goods Issue DIAPI.. I tink its The INVGenEXit DiAPI.. Remember if u using the DiApI u Allowed to do only wat u can in the front end

    Hi Sandip,
    Modifying the OnHand quantity for an item directly through SQL is forbidden by SAP. Updating a UDF is also not recommended. The recommended method for updating a UDF is through the SDK.
    I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve. If you wish to change the stock quantity for an item then you need to add the most appropriate transaction, either through the UI or via the SDK (eg Goods Issue, Goods Receipt, AR Delivery etc).
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

    thru a user exit in the IDoc processing function then set up my material
    master data load in the LSMW to use the IDoc instead of the custom program.
    For me this would be the easiest way and you don't have to fiddle with the
    standard Direct Input program.
    Reward if found helpfull,

  • How to modify a SQL query?

    Hi all,
    I am using Crystal Reports version 10. I have a number of reports that have been written by a software vendor wherby the name of the database they were connected to when the report was written is coded into the FROM command of the reports SQL query, eg "GCUK_2" in the of the SQL snippet below.
    SELECT "Clients"."NAME", "Quotes"."QUOTE_ID", "Quote_Items"."UPRICE", "Quote_Items"."QTY", "Quote_Items"."UOM", "Quote_Items"."QUSAGE_ID", "Report_Control"."QUSAGEID", "Quote_Items"."STANDARD", "Quote_Items"."SECT_FLAG", "Quote_Items"."DISPORDER", "Quotes"."DESCRIPT", "Report_Control"."SECT_NAME", "Quote_Items"."CNT", "Category_and_Type"."TYPEDESC", "Quote_Items"."DESCRIPT", "Report_Control"."DISP_SORT"
    FROM   ((("GCUK_2"."schedwin"."QTE_CTRL" "Report_Control" INNER JOIN "GCUK_2"."schedwin"."QUSAGE" "Quote_Items" ON "Report_Control"."QUSAGEID"="Quote_Items"."QUSAGE_ID") LEFT OUTER JOIN "GCUK_2"."schedwin"."QUOTES" "Quotes" ON
    I have tried setting the Datasource Location, but it doesn't change the query at all. I have read on another forum that you can generate another SQL query using the Database Expert, Current Connections, then right click the Add Command for the database you want to create a SQL command. Is this the only way to update the database names in the query?
    Thanks,
    Scott.

    Hi Sourashree,
    Thanks for that. All the reports were created by the vendor using tables as opposed to the command object. I would have thought that changing the datasource would automatically cause Crystal to rewrite the SQL query syntax, but this doesn't appear to be the case.
    Yes, I've noticed that modifying the record selection will change the sql query. The only way I can see to change the database name in the query is to change to the desired databsource and then remove and re-insert the tables, which will then update the query with the correct name. However, this seems to be a convoluted way of changing the db name in the query.

  • Report- Pl/sql function returning sql query parsing page items as text?

    Hi Team,
    I am facing a strange issue .
    I have four page items namely
    1)JOB_CODE
    2)MIN_EXP
    3) MAX_EXP
    4) SOURCES1
    I have a report of the type "Pl/sql function returning sql query"
    declare
    v_sql varchar2(4000);
    begin
    if (:JOB_CODE IS NOT NULL and :MIN_EXP IS NOT NULL and :MAX_EXP IS NOT NULL and :SOURCES1 IS NOT NULL) then
    v_sql:= 'select v_candidate_id, v_fname,v_current_employer,v_Experience_years from candidature where V_REQUIREMENT = :JOB_CODE and v_experience_years >= :MIN_EXP and v_experience_years <= :MAX_EXP and source like ' || '''' || '%'|| ':SOURCES1' || '%' || '''';
    elsif (:JOB_CODE IS NULL and :MIN_EXP IS NOT NULL and :MAX_EXP IS NOT NULL and :SOURCES1 IS NOT NULL) then
    v_sql := 'select v_candidate_id, v_fname,v_current_employer,v_Experience_years from candidature where v_experience_years >= :MIN_EXP and v_experience_years <= :MAX_EXP and source like ' || '''' || '%'|| ':SOURCES1' || '%' || '''';
    elsif (:MIN_EXP IS NULL and :JOB_CODE IS NOT NULL and :MAX_EXP IS NOT NULL and :SOURCES1 IS NOT NULL) then
    v_sql := 'select v_candidate_id, v_fname,v_current_employer,v_Experience_years from candidature where v_experience_years <= :MAX_EXP and V_REQUIREMENT = :JOB_CODE and source like ' || '''' || '%'|| ':SOURCES1' || '%' || '''';
    elsif (:MAX_EXP is null and :JOB_CODE IS NOT NULL and :MIN_EXP IS NOT NULL and :SOURCES1 IS NOT NULL) then
    v_sql := 'select v_candidate_id, v_fname,v_current_employer,v_Experience_years from candidature where V_REQUIREMENT = :JOB_CODE and v_experience_years >= :MIN_EXP and source like ' || '''' || '%'|| ':SOURCES1' || '%' || '''';
    end if;
    insert into query_list values (v_sql);
    insert into debug values (:JOB_CODE , :MIN_EXP , :MAX_EXP , :SOURCES1);
    return v_sql;
    end;
    Please not that I am insertin the query into a table called Query_list and the page item values into the table called Debug thru the pl/sql function which returns teh query.
    Now I select the data from the debug tables.
    select unique(query) from query_list;
    select v_candidate_id, v_fname,v_current_employer,v_Experience_years from candidature where V_REQUIREMENT = :JOB_CODE and v_experience_years >= :MIN_EXP and v_experience_years <= :MAX_EXP and source like '%:SOURCES1%'
    select * from debug;
    JOBCODE     MINEX     MAXEX     SOURCE
    21     1     10     donkeyHire
    And if I run the query in sql I get some records returned
    select v_candidate_id, v_fname,v_current_employer,v_Experience_years from candidature where V_REQUIREMENT = 21 and v_experience_years >= 1 and v_experience_years <= and source like 'donkeyHire'
    V_CANDIDATE_ID     V_FNAME     V_CURRENT_EMPLOYER     V_EXPERIENCE_YEARS
    2     Vengu     Andale Tech     4
    But the record does not show up in the report!
    does this type of report parse page items as text?
    Why is it so?
    Waiting for an early reply.
    Thanks,
    venkat

    Venkat - You don't want to put ':SOURCES1' in quotes like that.

  • SQL Query as Item Source/Oracle Reports w/ HTML DB?

    I have successfully used a SQL Query as an item source in the past on several occasions. However, in this instance, every time I try to do this, I get the following error:
    Error ERR-1019 Error computing item default value: page=3 name=P3_TEST_ITEM.
    ORA-01460: unimplemented or unreasonable conversion requested ORA-02063: preceding line from [database_name]
    If I use the exact same query in creating a report region, the page displays fine and the query returns the correct data. Why might this be happening, and what can I do to fix it?
    Also - off the subject - is there a way to use HTML DB to deploy reports that are created in Oracle Reports Builder? I have created several employee productivity reports for supervisors and managers in HTML DB, which is great for allowing them to run them live and have fields as parameters for varying employees, date ranges, etc... but formatting them to be browser and printer friendly is an absolute nightmare so far. If I could create and format the reports in Reports Builder and then deploy them using HTML DB, while still being able to offer parameters to the user, that would be perfect. Is this possible?

    Here is my query:
    SELECT
    TO_CHAR((sum(decode(ef.production_function,'Y',ef.function_minutes+ef.function_ot_minutes))/60)/8, '9999999.99')
    FROM
    RLAPPLSG.EMPLOYEE_INFO@REMOTE_SERVER EI,
    RLAPPLSG.SC_EMP_FUNCTIONS@REMOTE_SERVER EF,
    RLAPPLSG.SC_EMP@REMOTE_SERVER E
    WHERE
    ( e.SC_EMP_NBR=ef.SC_EMP_NBR )
    AND ( ei.EMP_ID=e.EMP_ID )
    AND (
    ( trunc(( e.SC_DATE )) BETWEEN :P2_BEGIN_DATE AND :P2_END_DATE )
    AND (ei.EMP_MGRS_ID = :P2_SUPERVISOR_ID
    OR ei.EMP_ID = :P2_SUPERVISOR_ID)
    Every table and/or view that is referenced here is done so remotely. The column datatype breakdown is as follows:
    production_function - BOOLEAN
    function_minutes - NUMBER
    function_ot_minutes - NUMBER

  • Customizing the HTML for a Report from SQL Query

    Hello
    I have created a Report from a SQL query that outputs a list of items from a single table column. There are 65 rows returned by the report. I would like to display all the results on one page but the length of the list prevents this. Is there any way of presenting the results as multiple columns on the same page?
    ie
    Res1 Res2 Res3
    Res4 Res5 Res6
    or
    Res1 Res3 Res5
    Res2 Res4 Res6
    I thought about using a 3 column portlet region and attempting to customise the report displayed via each of the portlets but I would prefer to avoid this as it would require the development and maintenance of an additional template.
    Thanks
    Lisa

    Problem solved...
    I have used my SQL query as a cursor in a dynamic page and then used the cursor and htp.p statements to tabulate my results as per my requirements.

  • How can I use the Rownum/Customized SQL query in a Mapping?

    Hi,
    * I need to use a Rownum for populating one of the target field? How to create a mapping with Rownum?
    * How can I use an Dual table in OWB mapping?
    * Can I write Customized SQL query in OWB? How can I achieve this in a Mapping?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Niels,
    As I'm sure you know, the conundrum is that Reports doesn't know how many total pages there will be in the report until it is all done formatting, which is too late for your needs. So, one classical solution to this problem is to run the report twice, storing the total number of pages in the database using a format trigger, and throwing away the output from the first run when you don't know the total number of pages.
    Alternatively, you could define a report layout so that the number of pages in the output is completely predictable based upon, say, the number of rows in the main query. E.g., set a limit of one, two, ... rows per page, and then you'll know how many pages there will be simply because you can count the rows in a separate query.
    Hope this helps...
    regards,
    Stewart
