SQL Server Driver for Linux causes Segmentation Fault

Hello,
I'm using the SQL Server Driver 11.0.1790 on Linux with mod_perl and Apache. While running fine with all my CLI Perl apps I occasionally get Segmentation Faults when using it from within mod_perl applications. Sometimes every other connect to the database
segfaults. I've created a core dump and did a stack backtrace:

Calling something at NULL obviously doesn't look right…

Hi Stephan,
This is a bug in the unixODBC Driver Manager 2.3.0. Essentially, you can only have one HDBC per HENV. The mod_perl must be creating the connections upon the same HENV.
The bug appears to be fixed in version 2.3.1 but we have not yet certified that out driver can work with 2.3.1. See the 2.3.1 release notes at
http://www.unixodbc.org/ where the last item says:
"Driver version was not being held when a second connection was made to the driver"
The Driver Manager would "forget" that we are an ODBC V3 driver and try intereacting with us as an ODBC V2 driver for the second connection (which fails).
The workaround is to create a new HENV for each connection but I'm not sure if this is possible in mod_perl.

Connecting to SQL Server 2000 with MS SQL Server Driver for JDBC

I am brand new to JDBC . I have installed JDBC driver (for JDBC 2.0) from the Microsoft site and made relevant changes to the class path variable to include the driver paths, as suggested in the driver help documnnts. I have written a simple java code to register. But i get "class NotFound" error.

To Execute I used

In fact it kept thrwing up the Class Not Found error for the above commands.
But as U suggested I removed the classpath and executed both javac and java commands without classpath clause , and guess what it worked for the line

(i.e., it dint throw any exception like before). So can I assume that driver is successfully registered?
I tried using Jcreator for compile and run. But I got the same error msg as the commands given above with calsspath caluse. Is there a way around for this to make it work from an external editing tool like Jcreator apart from removing the classpath option from the JDKTool optional setting(doing this did not help for me)
Also one last favor: How do I connect with the trusted connection option? (i.e. it should use already logged in windows authentification login)

I am currently using JdbcOdbcBridge on Windows NT/2000 for accessing MS SQLServer.
But I want to transfer my application servers to Linux
RedHat 7.1. My database should remain MS SQLServer.
Can you suggest me a way to connect to MSSQL Server
from Linux? An ODBC driver would also be
enough for me, i.e. I can use a JdbcOdbcBridge regardless of performance problems.
Where can I find MS SQL Server drivers for Linux?

I am using oracle gateway (11.1) for sqlserver on Linux platform with Oracle Server 10g.
I am getting following error when i run any select query:

The error you get is because your HS_FDS_CONNECT_STRING is not correct:
Be sure you can ping the SQL SERVER name from the Oracle Server,or use TCP/IP address
Check the port, it is not necessary 1433.
You can use the instance name insted of port:
HS_FDS_CONNECT_STRING=server_ip_address/instance_name/database_name
Be careful, in the LISTENER.ORA, you must specify the Gateway machine and not the SQL SERVER machine:

we are able to load data into staging area, but while processing stored procedures system face bellow error message :

Based on my research, this issue can be occurred in the following scenarios:
You are running a DBCC command on a large database. For example, you are running the DBCC CHECKDB statement on the database. At the same time, you run many DML statements on the database.
You create a database snapshot for a large database. At the same time, you are running many DML statements on the database.
In these scenarios, the SQL Server service stops responding. The DBCC CHECK statement is never completed, and you receive the error message repeatedly.
This issue occurs because the sparse file for a database snapshot file has exceeded the file size limitation in NTFS file system. When the operating system error 1450 occurs, SQL Server enters an infinite retry loop.
To fix this issue, please download and install Cumulative update package 1 for SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1. Besides, because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous
SQL Server 2008 fix release. We recommend that you consider applying the most recent fix release that contains this hotfix.

We change the driver for the BEA WebLogic Type 4 JDBC MS SQL Server driver

Have you try to use DTCTester or DTCPing to verify MSDTC functionality over the network? Please refer to the following article:

setup a new sql server 2012 on a windows 2012r2 server to replace old sql server 2005 on an old windows server 2003 machine. When i test the ODBC connection locally on the server it works fine, however when i try to connect via windows 7 client machine
i get the following error:
Connection failed:
SQLState:'01000'
SQL Server Error:67
[Microsoft]ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen

I think it must be a permissions thing, I've turned off the firewall for now and still no difference, 've also made sure remote connection is enabled. I can connect to the other sql server in studio manager on the new machine however, i can't go do
the same in the old server, says:
cannot connect to hbfsqlpro1\hbfsqlpro1

the instance is def correct, as that is what i use to connect locally on the new machine and what it comes up on the studio manager on the new machine. STarting to pull my hair out somewhat, i'm sure it's something really simple!

You are trying to connect to a named instance. Make sure the SQL Server Browser service is started on the SQL Server computer.
Make sure TCP/IP is enabled.

Try to disable Windows Firewall or security software on both, SQL Server instance and client computer.
Test basic connectivity too. Try to ping from the client computer to the SQL Server computer.

BO XI 3.1 in Webi Rich Client, i get this when I use the default Audit Universe to run the Sample Auditing Report.
A database error occured. The database error text is: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Statement(s) Could not prepared..(WIS 10901)
In infoview webi i get this,
A Database error occured. The database error text is: [Microsoft][ODBC driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified. (WIS 10901)
We tried checking all the rights and we are trying this using the Administrator user. Also tried logon to Desinger, Import Auditing Universe and Verify the Parameters and then re exported. Still not working

Thanks for your suggestions and I tried all that what I can do along with your suggestion, and still getting the same error, all the connection are working fine, but when I checked for Integrity, Parse Object and Cardinality I was getting some Object error and cardinality error, which am trying to resolve, so I think am having a wrong version of the Activity Universe.
