SQLServerAgent initiating self-termination.

Dear All,
Getting following error while starting SQL Server Agent
Exception 5 caught at line 188 of file d:\sql10_katmai_t\sql\mpu\sqlagent\src\autostrt.cpp.  SQLServerAgent initiating self-termination.

Hello,
It seems like registry key corruption; let’s try to repair SQL Server using the following procedure.
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Cc646006(v=sql.100).aspx
Apply the latest service pack and cumulative update.
If the above does not help, please reinstall SQL Server.
Hope this helps.

    Any ideas are appreciated.
    thanks

    Hi,
    we had same hang issue. Unfortunately we run behind VM.
    It was an issue with securerandom generation.
    We solved the issue as described here http://stackoverflow.com/a/2564406/2098832
    Also deleted the <server>/tmp directory before.
    Hope this helps.

  • Self terminating/quiting IPhoto

    Can anyone tell me why my IPhoto is constantly not responding and quiting...
    Today after 20min. of work I sent 3 or even 4 to 5 error reports to apple and after almost 20 or more in up to 10 sessions of photo book working. I really suggest Apple to work on this if it's not just with me.. whether my mac is responsible or simply the software itself.. ??!!!
    Look, I just wanna make this awesome photo book of London which I'm really looking forward to order... but with time I more and more consider not to buy one just because of this awkward app called IPhoto and it's photo book functionalities, which are basically great but they have to work!
    When I first expierienced IPhoto it was just a great and cheerful moment, but now I'm definitely ******. Not cauz of the photo management but rather because of not being able to accompolish a single photo book without a self terminating IPhoto..
    I just wonder If I'm the only one with such a thing, am I!?
    Any help ?
    kind regards Thomas

    Okay... there is this 'I have no idea what the issues could be', thing!
    What happens ?
    I'm sry that I don't take a screenshot or simply copied the error message out of the error report but I'm really to tired looking at that but I promise I'll catch up on this later. It's always the same thing and right 10 minutes before it occured almost 5 times with a delay of 5 minutes! So every 5 minutes my IPhoto is quiting and asks me if I want to send and error report or whether I wanna reopen IPhoto..
    When does it occure ?
    Simply while I did do some edit work on a photo for example or writing a description for some pics. I already reinstalled OSX once.. and at both times I had this probs.. The only concern now is whether Apple is regognizing the error reports or not, just and informal thing.. which I would be pleased to know!
    maybe it's some issue with the lib but as you already wrote it's unlikely.. but I now really consider to reinstall I Photo. What about support hotline ? Could they help me ... or better if I call them can they actually see my error reports and tell me where the issue might be?
    regards Tom

  • AppleWorks: self termination

    My AppleWorks (ver6.2.9) terminates itself every time when I open a new file and start typing even a single alphabet.
    What's happening?
    Please help!

    Open the "International" pane of your System Preferences. Select the "Input Menu" tab and uncheck the "US Extended" keyboard layout.
    AppleWorks does not support unicode, and responds by crashing when unicode characters are received as input from the keyboard.

  • Termination Date in Employee Self Service

    Dear All,
    In Employee Self Service Termination Date is defaulting as System Date when employee is initiating the termination. So employee is not able to edit the Date.
    After approval it is storing directly in to the form.
    In this case employee is not able to set the termination date i.e actual termination date.
    How to make it as editable.
    Regards,
    Jithin

    Hi,
    Sorry for the delay.
    I am using the function 'HR_TERMINATION_MGR_SS' for the manager self-service and there is a choice to pick the termination date.
    and i am using the 'HR_TERMINATION_SS' and it has the sysdate by default.
    could you please give me the function name exactly of the one you are using.
    the version we have is 12.0.4
    Thanks a lot

  • Gnome-terminal 2.32.0-1

    I would like to use the gnome-terminal 2.32 available in testing as it has a window sizeing feature.
    I do not want to use the testing repo.
    Does anybody know how long it will likely be before this version arrives in core?

    initially gnome-terminal remained in testing because of vte 0.26.0 and this bug: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/21007
    now that this issue was fixed in 0.26.1, is in testing because vte from there was compiled against python2 2.7
    python rebuilding would hit extra soon(if there are no bugs left)

  • Nautilus-open-terminal no longer opens non-default terminal

    I'm running gnome and have had working for some time now nautilus-open-terminal, with it set to open terminator instead of gnome-terminal. Yesterday I upgrade nautilus-open-terminal.
    [2013-03-03 10:40] upgraded nautilus-open-terminal (0.19-3 -> 0.20-1)
    Now it is opening gnome-terminal instead of terminator. I've tried a few things to fix this. The first was how I initially set terminator to open, by opening dconf-editor and navigating to org.gnome.desktop.applications.terminal and setting exec to terminator. This was already set, so I tried setting it to default and resetting it. No luck.
    I also tried setting it via gsettings with:
    gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.default-applications.terminal exec /usr/bin/terminator
    I still get gnome-terminal and not terminator. Is there some way in which the newer version looks for which terminal to open that is now different than before? I suppose I could roll back that upgrade and see if that fixes things, but I was curious if anyone knew what was happening here.
    Thanks,

    Hi Koopa.
    Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about that. Only solution now would be to patch GLib itself.
    The "guilties" here are the commit below in nautilus-open-terminal and glib itself.
    commit ce56165ed58b225804f50a01dc101097b7892efd
    Author: Kalev Lember <[email protected]>
    Date:   Wed Feb 27 21:05:47 2013 +0100
        Port the terminal launching to GAppInfo
        ... dropping the use of eel-gnome-extensions and libgnome-desktop.
        This fixes the build with libgnome-desktop 3.7.90 where the terminal
        launching functionality was dropped. Instead, we use GAppInfo with the
        G_APP_INFO_CREATE_NEEDS_TERMINAL flag as a replacement.
    In Glib, the code that prepends the terminal command  line is in function prepend_terminal_to_vector on file gio/gdesktopappinfo.c. And as you can see, there is no terminator there.
    check = g_find_program_in_path ("gnome-terminal");
    if (check != NULL)
    term_argv[0] = check;
    /* Note that gnome-terminal takes -x and
    * as -e in gnome-terminal is broken we use that. */
    term_argv[1] = g_strdup ("-x");
    else
    if (check == NULL)
    check = g_find_program_in_path ("nxterm");
    if (check == NULL)
    check = g_find_program_in_path ("color-xterm");
    if (check == NULL)
    check = g_find_program_in_path ("rxvt");
    if (check == NULL)
    check = g_find_program_in_path ("xterm");
    if (check == NULL)
    check = g_find_program_in_path ("dtterm");
    if (check == NULL)
    check = g_strdup ("xterm");
    g_warning ("couldn't find a terminal, falling back to xterm");
    term_argv[0] = check;
    term_argv[1] = g_strdup ("-e");
    Me too, this bugs me a lot.
    If I wasn't too busy with another project, I would try to submit a proposal to freedesktop.org to "standardize" a way to find the default terminal, hoping that gnome devs would consider to implement it.

  • Problem with tutorial; "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using "

    I've got a rather new installation of Vista Business x64 on my developer rig, and last week I installed the new JDeveloper 11g version. The installation was all-inclusive, no customization on my end.
    In addition I've got a test installation of an Oracle DB 11gR1 on an available server here.
    To familiarize myself with the new JDeveloper I decided to spend some time with the JDeveloper 11g tutorials found here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/11/index.html.
    I've started twice on the second tutorial, "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using EJB, JPA, and JavaServer Faces", and find myself repeatedly stuck at step 19 in section "Creating the Data Model and Testing it".
    It seems impossible to deploy the application to the default application server. The server starts fine on its own, I can access it via the admin console on port 7001 and it looks good. However, when I try to run the HRFacadeBean funny things are happening, symptomized by the following error messages seen in the IDE log-area:
    The "Messages" pane displays:

    I'm not that familiar with these things but it seems to me that there is an issue with port numbers here. The application seems to expect a app.server service at port 7101, but does'nt find one.
    Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be appreciated?

    Jupp,
    It fails in a similar way.
    What I did was; create a simle 'Hello World' html file, saving it with the jsp extension. In Jdev11g i made a new application and an emtpy project, then loaded the jsp file and made it the default run-target. This compiles nicely.
    When running the project it first attempts to start the WebLogicServer (WLS). After a few minutes it is started as seen in the "Running: DefaultServer" pane:

    DefaultServer startup time: 121552 ms.
    DefaultServer started.
    In the "Messages" pane, however, things are not looking so good:
    Context: MakeProjectAndDependenciesCommand application=TestAppJsp.jws project=TestProjJsp.jpr
    [7:20:49 PM] Successful compilation: 0 errors, 0 warnings.
    [Application TestAppJsp is bound to Server Instance DefaultServer]
    [Starting Server Instance DefaultServer]
    #### Server Instance DefaultServer could not be started: Server Instance was terminated.
    But, of course, the server is actually running as I can access it via its Admin Console.
    So, I try to run the project again, and this time the following is shown in the "Messages" pane:
    Compiling...
    Context: MakeProjectAndDependenciesCommand application=TestAppJsp.jws project=TestProjJsp.jpr
    [7:26:39 PM] Successful compilation: 0 errors, 0 warnings.
    [Application TestAppJsp is bound to Server Instance DefaultServer]
    [Starting Server Instance DefaultServer]
    #### Server Instance DefaultServer could not be started: Server Instance was terminated.
    The "Running: DefaultServer" now comes up with:
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\bin\startWebLogic.cmd
    [waiting for the server to complete its initialization...]
    [Server Instance DefaultServer is shutting down.  All applications currently running will be terminated and undeployed.]
    Process exited.
    The WLS is still running though as I can still access its adm console.
    To me it seems that it is attempting to start a separate instance of the WLS for each run attempt, but then I could be wrong.....:(
    Later I'll try to change the default WLS port from 7001 to 7101 as suggested in another port here.
    I must admit that I'm a bit surprised that the JDev11g doesn't work fine at this very simple level when performing a default install.

    Hi Sumit,
    Try this OSS note:905083
    Import Support Package 16 for 3.5 (BW 3. 50 Patch 16 or SAPKW35016) into your BW system. The Support Package is available once Note 0872275 "SAPBWNews BW Support Package 16 NetWeaver'04 Stack 16", which describes this Support Package in more detail, has been released for customers.
    Before you implement the correction, you must carry out the following actions:
    1. Use Transaction SE37 to create the RSDRC_RAISE_EXCEPTION function module in the RSDRC function group (Short text = Terminator 2). This function does not have any parameters.
    2. In the RSDRC_CUBE_DATA_GET_RFC function module, under 'Tables', add the new entry E_T_MESG of the TSMESG type and this new entry is optional.
    3. The T100 messages DBMAN 003,004 and 005 complete the correction:
    a) 003: Unknown error in part cube RSDRC_CUBE_DATA_GET_RFC = &1
    b) 004: Non-catchable error '&1' in RSDRC_CUBE_DATA_GET_RFC.
    c) 005: The following error occurred in RSDRC_CUBE_DATA_GET_RFC for part cube = &1.
    In urgent cases you can implement the correction instructions.
    To make information available in advance, the notes mentioned may already be available before the Support Packages are released. However, in this case the short text still contains the words "preliminary version".
    Hope this helps.

  • Error on Undeploy:  Application with name "crazy" does not exist.

    I am working with Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0 Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.
    I have applications that run fine, however when I click on the undeploy, I get the error below. Please keep in mind that this is a simple sample application -- no security. Just one form with reading an HR schema table. Just a sample to try and figure out why I am getting this error. Any ideas?
    1. I have deleted the system folder (repeatedly)
    2. I deleted out my entire C:\Users\stuart\AppData\Local\Temp directory (someone mentioned this in another post)
    3. Reinstalled Jdeveloper.
    Thank you,
    Stuart
    PS, the application is called crazy because that is what this error is making me!
    I have included the start of weblogic too, just in case that sheds some light on this issue.

    Frank,
    Thank you for your answer. I had not checked (will do so tonight).
    I had considered it adequate to wipe out the entire system directory (thereby wiping out the integrated weblogic server), but perhaps it was not adequate? I did not specify that this is on the integrated server, but that is the case....

    You probably run the WebLogic once as the super user and are now trying to run it as another.
    you could issue a chown or chmod -R 777
    Also a remark that provided here: Opening of wallet based credential store failed. Reason java.io.IOException
    "It appears the my config/fmwconfig/cwallet.sso file was corrupted, possibly by a previous WebLogic crash. The cwallet.sso file in my fmwconfig directory was only 77bytes, but it should have been larger. I was able to find a previous version of the cwallet.sso file in the /tmp/cred* directories, and restored the file. That allowed me to start up WebLogic, but I had lost some data in cwallet.sso that I needed to re-enter in FMW Control."

  • SOA WebLogic : Cannot load JDBC driver class

    Hi, I'm new to this Oracle SOA World. Currently I'm trying to configure environment on my system. I found a very useful document to install all related SOA component to my system, the document name was 'Quick Start Guide for Oracle® SOA Suite 11gR1 (11.1.1.5.0)'. I did all the steps written in the document and have installed all the components successfully, component including Database, Jdevelper, WebLogic Server, RCU, SOA suite, service bus, all are installed successfully.
    But when I'm trying to Configure Application Server (start -> Oracle SOA 11g-Home1), at one step 'Configure JDBC Component Schema' , here I'm getting this message
    * The driver class listed below was not found in product installation
    vendor: Derby
    Driver: org.apache.derby.jdbc.clientdriver
    A Test will not be performed on any database connections using this driver
    In addition, when i just ignore this message and continue installation, after installation when i run weblogic server then it gives error and gets terminated
    here is weblogic server log:

    Hi:
    try placing the jars that represent ur driver, here
    For both Windows and Linux, you must perform the following steps:
    Drop the vendor-specific driver JAR files to the user_projects/domains/soainfra/lib directory.
    Drop the vendor-specific driver JAR files to the <Weblogic_Home>/server/lib.
    Edit the classpath to include the vendor-specific jar file in <Weblogic_HOME>/common/bin/commEnv.sh

    As you can see, SQL Server service  terminates unexpectedly. Then SQL Agent service tries to start SQL Server service. After unsuccessfully attempts to start SQL Server service, SQL Agent service stops itself. I have the option setting in SQL Server
    service to start itself after unexpectedly stop within 2 minutes and it is works well. But I have to start my SQL Agent service after this manually. Unfortunately, I can't investigate the reason of my SQL Server stops unexpectedly and in this case I just want
    to make the settings to start both of my services SQL Server and SQL Agent automatically after this.  How can I set up this? How can I make my SQL Agent service starts after SQL Server service?

    Hello,
    SQL server agent service depends on SQL server service so unless SQL server service comes online agent will not come online so agent is depended on SQL server not the other wise.
    Now is your server 2008 R2 patched to latest service pack (SP2).If not please upgrade it to latest SP.Some fixes are there in Sp which will subside this issue.Can you paste output of
    select @@version
