SQR 5402

Hey there,
We're trying to migrate off of a server 'OLD' to server 'NEW'.
Both are running the same instance of Oracle 9.2.0.5.0 (32 bit)
running on a 64 bit Solaris machine and both are running the same version
of SQR (8.1)
OLD has Solaris version 8
NEW has Solaris version 10
We're just trying to replicate the environment for now to prepare
for upgrades soon.
So the problem is.. we have a shell-script that first, sets environment
variables and then executes an SQR.
The script runs without errors on server-OLD, but I get this error
message on server-NEW:
Error on line 103:
(SQR 5402) String cannot be placed on page: <...string...>
-- placement specified is out of range. (0,1,0)
SQR: Program Aborting.
I can't find any differences between the SQR or Oracle installations.
(Same installations, same patches) - but I'm obviously missing something.
We don't want to modify the data itself (although that would fix
this case) because it obviously runs fine on 'OLD'.
I've kind of run out of ideas and was hoping someone might have
a clue as to why.

I think so. It was made by BRIO software, then
acquired by oracle.

Hyperion SQR production reporting 11.1.2 performance after migration from Peoplesoft

I am provided with sqr report includes multiple select statements but with simple small joins and also have reference to standard sqc files and other sqc.
I installed SQR on AIX and database as oracle 10g.But now hyperion does not provide any sqc file.
So manually created all sqc.But the report is taking more than 4 hours to produce the output file.Previously users get it in 10 minutes as informed.

Creating a Arabic PDF using SQR program

I am trying to create a PDF report via Peoplesoft SQR using SQRW command. I get the expected result if I choose LIS or HTML as my output.
But in case of PDF, I am missing the Arabic words in my report.
Version of Adobe - 8.
OS - Window XP, Peoplesoft SQR 8.4

Creating a folder on hyperion workspace using a sqr job

need some help, I have this code in the sqr to create a folder on hyperion 9.3.1 workspace. When i run this job and do a show on "#dirfile_status0". The value in it is 2 ,which mean it is saying that the folder doesnot exists, but i know the folder exists. this is run on a unix box.

Hi Pranav,
Tell me if you want to create this folder at run time or in NWDS while developing application.
If you want to create it at the time of development just change your perspective to Java perspective and from there you can see the entire project structure and from there you can create desired files / folders.

Help needed to use only SQR reporting with Oracle 10g

I have very old SQR reports (ver 2.28) that are still being used by connecting SQR to an Oracle7 DB. We have migrated the data from Ora7 to Oracle 10.2.0.4. The issue is that SQR 2.28 is not able to connect to Oracle 10.2.0.4. Hence I want to use the new version of SQR that is part of OBIEE.
I am not familiar with OBIEE and my interest is only using the SQR portion of it.
1. Can any one help me as to how to go about installing SQR portion of OBIEE on a Linux Itanium 64-bit box? My Oracle 10.2.0.4 DB is also running on the same box.
2. What are the minimum components of OBIEE I need to install to make use of SQR ?
3. Any other relevant information

When installing webgate, make sure the Access Server is running. You will get this error if Access Server is down or not reachable. ( Make sure from the machine where you are installing webgate you can ping to Access Server by Name).

Is that a Hyperion sqr file? I doubt there are migration tools, so you will need to rebuild the report in Oracle Reports.

Data source for SQR reporting

Is it possible to use the Brio Query or Report Results as a data source for an SQR report? Instead of accessing a database for an SQR, can I use the Results section instead?

N0 you need to create ur own generic datasource for line items - it is not delivered.
0FI_GL_4 reads BSEG and BKPF
where as the new Gl line items is based on table FAGLFLEXA

All the sqr process are results in error

Here is the list of things i tried already
1,Done a DB bind with DB owner id
2,Done a DB bind with DB instance id with the help of DBA

6,Verified the sqr path is correct in the environment(psconfg.sh) file and found to be correct

Frequency Control Word (PXI-5402): Rounded up or down?

A further question wrt PXI-5402 standard function generation.
The frequency control word is calculated by dividing the desired output frequency by the sample clock frequency (100MHz for a PXI-5402) and multiplying it by 2^N where 'N' is the width of the DDS accumulator (48 for the PXI-5402). As the frequency control word is an integer does any fractional residual result in the control word being rounded up or rounded down?
e.g. if a I request a frequency of 1Hz I get a control word of 2814749.767 which would give an actual output frequency of 0.99999997 Hz if rounding down or 1.00000008 Hz if rounding up.

I believe the FCW gets rounded. I actually was able to find a LV demo for you, but it was made for the 5411. You would need to change some values to make it work for the 5402/5406: http://www.ni.com/example/28757/en/
Keep in mind that all of the DDS calculations are actually implemented in HW on an FPGA, see figure 2: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5516/en/. The tuning word here is the same as the FCW. This image used to be used on that white paper before it was updated. The adder in Figure 2 is the same adder in this image below.
Also, as I have mentioned before, the accuracy for the Sample Clock above for the 5402 is 25ppm. If the actual frequency you are generating is such a concern, are you using an external high accuracy clock source? What is your application?

How to construct dynamic WHERE clause in our sqr programming ?

SQR will understand Where Clause as dynamic, when you include it in Square Brackets []
In your case, since fromdate & thrudate are mandatory values, I would code like this

In that begin-select try to locate any of the data(column of the table) which is getting printed right now on the invoice and see that table name(locate the from in that begin-select, you can see the table name). go to app designer and see if that has PO_ID. if that has PO_ID then modify the begin-select to get this extra column.

SQR DEVELOPER PROCESS ISSUE

Failed to produce the HTML output file. Additionally, no SPF,.LOG or .ERR files were generated. Most likely causes include: SQR congiguration, and the BRD datasource definition used for this report

PS-I assume you mean data flow between activities (not process).

PRCS SQR gives different format for (1) directly to printer (2) Web PDF

I am running an SQR via process scheduler producing a report.
The format and size are FINE when i run it directly to the printer. Command is below:

Which one looks better, the web or printed?
Seems like we had a similar problem a while back and the issue was with some scaling settings/preferences in the Acrobat Reader.
