SSAS check if dimension attribute true now and also previous year

Hi,
I have a account dimension and one of the attribute is commercialactive. I need to get the count of customers who are commercialactive now
and also last year, last quarter, 2 quarter ago,... 12 quarter ago. I don't want to create flags for all this period in the fact table or in the dimension. In my fact table I have one row per account per month (snapshotfact) .
Can we write calculated member in SSAS to get these calculations ?

The best way to do this would be to maintain a flag.
Doing this in calculation would require creating a filter based on the field

How to populate the data or details of only the present year and the previous year with respect to the given RATNG?

Hi All,
I have created a form with 5 blocks (namely ENQACMHDR, ENQACMDTL, ENQACEHDR, ENQACEDTL, ENQACSPEC), where i have 8 push buttons (namely ENTER_QUERY, EXEC_QUERY, CLEAR, FIRST, NEXT, PREVIOUS, LAST & EXIT).
This form is created just for viewing purpose only. So after I execute, all the blocks have been blocked against insert & update.
I query on 2 fields that is 'ENQNO' and 'RATNG' (Both the fields belong to the block ENQACMDTL).
When I click on 'EXEC_QUERY' directly, all the data of all the years populates.
But the user wanted the data to be populated from only the present year and the previous year.
So , on 'WHERE Clause' of the property_palette of 'ENQACMDTL' block , I put in the following condition:
SUBSTR(ENQACMDTL.ENQNO, 1,4)=TO_CHAR( ADD_MONTHS(SYSDATE,-12) , 'YYYY') OR SUBSTR(ENQACMDTL.ENQNO, 1,4)=TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'YYYY')
PROPERTY PALETTE (ENQACMDTL block)
WHERE Clause
SUBSTR(ENQACMDTL.ENQNO, 1,4)=TO_CHAR( ADD_MONTHS(SYSDATE,-12) , 'YYYY') OR SUBSTR(ENQACMDTL.ENQNO, 1,4)=TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'YYYY')
Now the data of only the present year and the previous year is being populated. Its ok with the field of 'ENQNO'.
The problem is when i query on field 'RATNG' . 'RATNG' is a Text_item with Number of Items displayed=5. (5 rows)

The first 4 numbers of 'ENQNO' denotes the year. There are more than a lakhs of records.
So when i query on the field 'RATNG',
Example:For RATNG=500KC2;
I click on ENTER_QUERY, On the field of 'RATNG' , i put in the value 500KC2 and click on EXEC_QUERY; Details with respect to 500KC2 is displayed as well as all the other unwanted RATNG like 750KC6, 1000KC2 (which belongs to the ENQNO of the present year and the previous year) also gets displayed.
I want details of only RATNG (500KC2) to be displayed, but only of the present year and the previous year, that is 2013900054, 2012520109 (ENQNO).
Other than 500KC2 RATNG, no other RATNG must be displayed.
The RATNG=500KC2 is also present for ENQNO=2011540036 , 2006900072. But I dont want these to be displayed.
I want only the data or details of the present year and the previous year to be displayed or populated with respect to the given RATNG.
Can You Help me or tell me what do i do for this?

On key-exeqry you have to program. Delete all other trigger codings for checking your condition.
It dint work on key-exeqry.
I tried key-exeqry on form trigger, block (enqacmdtl) and also on field(:enqacmdtl.enqno) , but none of them worked.
It did not display the message.
I have a 'PUSH-BUTTON:EXEC_QUERY.
For EXEC_QUERY, Trigger : WHEN_BUTTON_PRESSED;
I added the following code:

But again I have a new problem and that is;
On the field :enqacmdtl.enqno, when i enter the '2013%' and press 'EXEC_QUERY', it works fine.
but when i enter '2006%' and press 'EXEC_QUERY', it shows the following error
FRM-50016: Legal characters are 0-9 - +E. It does not display the message also.
but when i enter the complete number, '2006580002', then it works fine , that is it displays the message (The Rating is not present for the present year and the previous year).
The problem is because of '%', only when i put in the restricted data (which does not satisfy where condition).
How do i solve this?

Variable Exit for fiscal week and weekday previous year

Hi experts.
in a reports I'm entering a date manually through a variable ZDATE1 for current year.
I need to find out the corresponding date last year based on the week number and week day for the entered date.
So, If i enter date 08/21/2009 , and that happens to be week 35 and day 2 for this week. so what would be the calender date for the same week 35 and day 2 in the previous year (2008).
Please help with any functions or methods or syntax...

Im sure its possible to find the date last year, but it will involve some programming and thinking about time/dates etc, unless you can do a lookup in the factorycalendar or "normal" calendar, stored in the system AND having the number of day info.
But you want to do this on the fly, in the report? I think performance might take a hit...

Have you attempted to access your Apple ID through iforgot.apple.com ?
If you have access to the internet, you should be able to go through the process of resetting your Apple ID password via security questions or email.
Assuming that you use the same Apple ID for iCloud and the iTunes/App Stores, resetting your password may help you log back into iCloud and the iTunes/App Stores.

I can populate year sales amount, but i cant calculate the percentage.

As per my understanding you can show your fields in matrix.
Only problem is to create the additional column which will have the %SalesDifference value right?
If yes,
Just create one column as shown in below screen,
It will create one column, Name the header of this newly created column as %SalesDifference
In below this header , where you want to show the value for %SalesDifference as
=sum(iif(Fields!year.Value=Parameters!year.Value,(Fields!SalesAmount.Value),-Fields!SalesAmount.Value))/Fields!SalesAmount.Value
Set the property of the column in number as Percentage.

I upgraded to mountain lion a week ago and now on startup of my macbook pro, microsoft excel and word start up automatically and then crash? very strange can anyone please help? I have checked the login items under users and groups and there is nothing.

Are you using the Office for Mac 2011 version, as you need to do? The Office for Mac 2004 is Not at all compatible with Mountain Lion, and the 2008 version has been noted to have some problems running with ML.

Dimensions and dimension attributes alias

We're developing a generic cube for anapplication for all customers.
In that application there are some FreeFields which can be used for different purposes by the customers.
e.g. FreeField1 can be Brand for one customer and Colour for another.
We want to use FreeFields as dimensions within the cube, but show them under the appropriate names to the users (in Excel PivotTable) as well.
Can we create an alias for dimension names and for attributes?
I've tried with translations, but then the customer has to choose a specific language when setting up the connection from Excel.
any suggestions?

Hello,
This is not possible in a good way. The only solution I can think of is adding the same field multiple times to the same dimension with different labels and than set rights per customer/user. But this will have a negative impact on performance
and depends on how many different fields you want. Also I see problems to maintain such a solution. My advice would be: Don't do this.

Where the hell are the daily backups between October 28 and November 14?

Oh wow - JET LAG strikes agin - my apologies; I have located the missing weeks of back-ups. After getting home from a 30-day trip to Europe, I had changed the location of my LR catalog back-ups to an external drive, and forgot that I did that. I have found them, and all is good. Never operate Heavy Machinery without enough rest. Cheers

Yes... a search of the forums would have prevented asking that question.

HT1414 I had an update to do, did the update and was doing the setup. when the question Apple ID security came up, I check not now and hit next, but it will not continue anywhere

Had an update to do, started the update and all was good until it came to the Security question during setup
I chose Not Now and hit next, but it will not go any further.

Reset and try again: Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

SSAS check if dimension attribute true now and also previous year
