Where the hell are the daily backups between October 28 and November 14?

Oh wow - JET LAG strikes agin - my apologies; I have located the missing weeks of back-ups. After getting home from a 30-day trip to Europe, I had changed the location of my LR catalog back-ups to an external drive, and forgot that I did that. I have found them, and all is good. You have been using MobileMe's email settings, which sometimes continue to work for a time after migration but then get turned off. iCloud's mail server settings are different. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud, and on that Mail is set up automatically.
Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. The method is described here:

I assume you mean photo albums. How were these albums added in the first place? Where they created on your iPad? Do they have the same name?

First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
If you're using Time Machine to back up a portable Mac, some of the available space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of files you've recently deleted. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as "Backups." The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself.
To locate large files, you can use Spotlight as described here. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
You can also use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means.

Rage Sitemap Automator and iWeb SEO Tool are two different applications.
Use SEO Tool to add the title tag and meta description. These need to be added to the html file for every page of your website. SEO Tool stores all these so that when you republish you only need to add tags to any new pages and click the re-apply button to refresh the existing ones.
Once you have added. refreshe the tags with iWeb SEO Tool and uploaded the files with your FTP application, then open the site in Sitemap Automator and create and upload a new sitemap.
Once you have set up accounts with Google, Yahoo and Bing, verified your site with each and submitted a sitemap, on subsequent publishing Sitemap Automator will resubmit the sitemap with one button click. It will also notify Ask.com whch doesn't require an account since you can add your domain name to this URL to ping them...

I know this has been asked, but with 10.5.2 out I was wondering if it now logs what was backed up each time somewhere. I have looked over some of the logs and all I can find are summaries of what happened. Below is my summary.

If you're that concerned, you should probably also get a second external drive, on which you do bootable backups (with a program like SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner), as well as putting your important files on a portable storage device (like a memory stick or a DVD), and keep that offsite. I'm not sure how much more info I can give...When I go to sign on after having been on and shutting down, I get a message indicating an application of Firefox is already running and need to shut it down or restart my computer. As Firefox is not running, I have to restart my computer each time to get back on.

Sounds like Firefox is "hanging at exit". That problem is frequently caused by an Extension or a Plugin. Read all of the following articles.<br /><br />

My MacBook Pro shut off three times yesterday after plugging my phone in but I managed to switch it back on each time. I left it to rest for about 20 hours and then today it Has been working fine all morning. Using indesign and Skype which usually slow it down anyway but it's been fine. Then I plugged my iPhone 4S into it and it just shut off again. But this time it won't switch back on. No idea why this has happened but I hadn't saved my work either. I'd not long plugged the charger in to it but now, it's still plugged in, but the light on it is very dim and is just flashing.
No idea what to do. Please help!

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

Make sure that you allow Firefox in your security software (firewall).
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
