SSO to ABAP WebDynpros not working
Hello,
I'm using a Portal in Version 7.3 and a As ABAP /.3 with EWM 9.0
I tried to use the single sign on to log on to my web applications on the ABAP host.
What I had done:
set login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
Imported the certificate of the java system to strustsso2 to certificate list and ACL
Created a connection to the system in the portal and created the content:
Now when I test the application, I get the log-in screen from the AS ABAP with no error message:

Username and hostnames replaced w/ ********
Uniquename is the same as username on abap side.
But uniqueID is: USER.CORP_LDAP."USERNAME"

some time ago I had the same problem,
Scenario's
1. SSO logon from ABAP SAPGUI to JAVA --> FAILS.
2. SSO logon from ABAP webgui to JAVA --> SUCCESS.
3. SSO logon from JAVA to ABAP --> SUCCESS
If I understand you correctly, then you have the same issue I had with scenario 1. Since SAPGUI does not create MYSAPSSO2 cookie for the Java server, this "failing" behavior is normal.
In case of SPNEGO or client certificate authentication the J2EE server will not ask for user ID and password.

CATS Webdynpro application is a OIF fpm. Please check if you have performed the FPM IDR configuration properly.
In standard, the ESS CATS does not prompt for the personnel number except in CE scenario. In MSS addon, you have an option to launch the ESS CATS application on-behalf of the employee. Please refer to the sap library documentation.

Key Figure calculation in Abap is not working correctly - Overlooping
Hi,
I wrote a logic to calculate the ratio of key figure but it is not working correctly
For example I have a requirement to split 1 Product into Several new Products and also the Net Amount will be splitted to these several new products as well. The total Amount of the new product will be equivalent to the Net Amount.
So far my Logic is splitting the product to several new products but the amount is incorrect as the calculation is over looping.
Sample
A PRODUCT has Net Amount 1000. And this product needs to be splitted into 3 new products. Each of this new product is assigned a ratio of 0.3, 0.2 and 0.7 respectively. total sum of the ratio is 1.
PRODUCT1 0.3 = 1000 * 0.3 = 300
PRODUCT2 0.2 = 1000 * 0.2 = 200
PRODUCT3 0.7 = 1000 * 0.7 = 700
The total amount of this new products is 1000.
Now my logic is working this way.
PRODUCT1 0.3 = 1000 * 0.3 = 300
PRODUCT2 0.2 = 1000 * 0.2 * 0.3 = 60
PRODUCT3 0.7 = 1000 * 0.2 * 0.3 * 0.7 = 42
Only the PRODUCT1 is working correctly and there is overlooping for the remaining products

I am not really good at debugging Abap code since I am a newbie. however I have tried to add CLEAR T_DATA before the first loop.

Issue in SAP GUI 7.0 for ECC6 (ABAP Editor not working)
Dear SAP Team,
We have installed SAP ECC6.0 EHP4.We have installed SAP GUI 7.0 in our clients machine but in some machines the ABAP Editor i.e Tcode SE38 is not working properly.When our Client selects any transaction for editing the system gets HANG.
We have tried uninstalling & reinstalling the software & the patch but the problem still persists.The configuration of all our client machine are same & we work on Windows XP platform.Please help us in solving our issue as soon as possible.

Please install the latest Sapgui Patch 3 for the Sapgui 720, or the Sapgui
Patch 19 for the Sapgui 7.10.
As workaround, please use the OLD frontend editor.

I am new to Abap webdynpro and i have a task to finish.
Basically i gone through many documents on WDA, but was able to understand very little.
I have following questions --
1. When u create component, what is the use of component controller?
2.. What exactly context and context node difference? Do we need to create an attribute(input box, button etc), under one context?
3. How can i read the date entered by user? where to read? If i want to read a particular iinput box data and save it to database table, how and where it has to be done?
4. How can i read the table data, complete table of UI?
5. What is an interface controller/component?
I still have lot of doubts about understanding MVC architecture, but I am so so sorry as I have little scope OO abap, so fining difficult to understand.
Kindly if someone explain me I would be greatfully thankfull to you.

Ans A component controller contains the context,attributes, methods etc for a component. No component can exist without this.Even a view has its own controller having same contents.
All the tabs which you see after clicking on COMPONENT CONTROLLER constitute the controller.
What exactly context and context node difference? Do we need to create an attribute(input box, button etc), under one context?
Ans: Context itself is a context node, but the only difference is that its the root and has unchangeable properties.It has a fixed cardinality of 1..1 where as a node can have different properties.
All nodes and attributes for different UIs are created in the context only.
How can i read the date entered by user? where to read? If i want to read a particular iinput box data and save it to database table, how and where it has to be done?
Ans: Data can be read in form of nodes and attributes. Every UI element for example an Input field will be bound to a attribute.
You can read these values by code ( use CODE WIZARD).
You can code in any methods given under method tabs.
You can create your own methods like event handlers for buttons and different events. You can write all your queries in these methods

Ans: If u mean by reading the whole node data, I would suggest you to use code wizard and understand the code.
5. What is an interface controller/component?
Ans: If you want to share your component and make it available for use in other components you define your make your methods and context visible in this controller .

Exit button in ABAP Webdynpro doesnot work with SPNEGO

we are in weird situation where we have webdynpro application in ABAP with exit button.
we have ABAP System and EP System and SSO configured for these two systems.
We configured EP system with Microsoft Active directory for single-signon with SPNEGO.
this configuration is working fine.

In Windows Domain Controller, i ran the follow command with no errors:
ktpass –princ NAC_USER/[email protected] -mapuser NAC_USER –pass mypass –out c:\nac_user.keytab –ptype KRB5_NT_PRINCIPAL
The file nac_user.keytab was created in c:\ of DC.
in Windows XP Workstations, SSO is working correctly
in Windows 7 workstations work when i manually enable DES in "Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy > Local Policies/Security > Options > Network security > Configure encryption types allowed"
I have many workstations running Windows 7 and can not do this manual procedure in all of them.

As we can see, I restarted the AD SSO service and the two bold lines are the records while trying to SSO with Windows 7, but without success.

But I remembered that during the changes, I checked the options for the user account I'm using to run the service to Use DES encryption types for this account.
When i uncheck this option in user account options and kept the changes to files krb.txt and starttomcat, the SSO service started with no errors and Windows 7 users now do the SSO too.

After update SAP BO 4.0 SP05 to SAP BO 4.1 SP04 we have the problem with SSO to http://<boserver>/BOE/BI.
Our environment:
SAP BO 4.1 running on AIX 6.1, integrated Tomcat7, one server (no cluster)
In fact, tomcat is able to communicate with AD, in debug mode I see

Before update to 4.1, SSO was working without problems.
Can you help me?
How can I be sure, that tomcat is passing the correct username and using the shared secret from TrustedPrincipal.conf when logging to CMS? Is it possible to debug it?

QUERY_STRING was working fine, so I saw that trusted authentification and TrustedPrincipal.conf are OK.
I activated trace log for BI launch pad and checked what's going on during SSO logging.
After some playing with parameters and reading discussions to similar problems I came to the conclusion and finally I've solved my SSO problem. Magic word is trustedVintela.
Here is my new properties files:
global.properties

#trusted.auth.user.retrieval=REMOTE_USER
#siteminder.enabled=false

User assgined to a group, SSO to ITS is not working
We had our security group add a ESS-User group. We imported 500 users and assigned them to that group. When logging into EP, we are getting access to the correct tabs, but ITS is requiring us to login.
But when logging in as a user that is not assigned to this group, the SSo to ITS is working.
What setup step are we missing? Are we supposed to configure something in Visual Administrator.Hi Dena,

Close button - FPM WebDynpro - not working after upgrade NW 7.01/SP10
Hi,
I have developed a form using FPM Webdynpro. When click on a workitem in UWL, it launches the form which I have developed.
One of the standard buttons on the form is "CLOSE" button (Which automatically appears). This was useful to close the window and was working fine all these days.
Over the weekend our basis team upgraded the system to Basis patch SP10 and NW 7.01 SP10 patch for Portal.
Since then when I click on "CLOSE" button, it doesn't close the window and message on the window is "Application was terminated; you can close the window".
Please let me know how to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Vijay.This is to do with web browser we use. When you press close button the window.close script is called. However the browser checks if window.opener is filled or not. If it is empty you get warning message to confirm your action.

Abap code not working - deleting based on master data table information

I wrote a piece of code earlier which is working and during test we found out that it will be hard for the support guys to maintain because it was hard coded and there is possibility that users will include more code nums in the future
sample code

Now I created a new InfoObject master data so that the support people can maintain the source and code number manually.
master data table - the codenum is the key.

now I wrote this routine all the data gets deleted.

Data tab like /M/PGICTABLE occurs 0 with header line.

But when I chage the sign to EQ, I get opposite values , Not what I require.

Process Type ABAP does not work properly via process chain
Dear SDNers
I am running a process chain and it contains process type ABAP program. ABAP program was running correctly till now via this process chain. ABAP program process type generally takes approximately 2 hours to run. But now, this process type for ABAP program just run for less than 1 minute and finishes successfully. The issue is that ABAP program does not run at all.
I ran the ABAP program in background and it took approximately 2 hours to run. ABAP Program is local means in our BW system and does not involve Remote Function call. We have BI7.0 system
Has some one came across this type of issue?

The intellisence fuctionality in ABAP editor not working correctly
I have an issue getting the intellisence to work correctly. It will sense the word and show it but when I hit enter for it to copy it just goes to the next line. I tried changing the keyboard settings but htis doens't do anything either.
Tab works for me too. Enter does not. SAPGUI 7.10 patch 19.
But there appears to be several areas to look for changes:
1) Tweak SAP GUI
2) In the bottom right corner of the editor, there's a small icon that looks like a page. Press it, and a new screen will open.
Select "Keyboard", and scroll down to Edit.Autocomplete and experiment with settings.
3) Change an xml setting by editing file (depending on operating system):
a) c:\Documents and Settings\[user]\SapWorkDir\ab4_data\settings.xml.
b) look for the section "Code_Completion"
c) change value from 0 to 1 in 1{/CodeHintAgreeByReturn}

Componentization in WD ABAP does not work

I am trying to use componentization in WD ABAP.
I have one Business logic componet WD_BLC (BLC) and it contains following context node that differnet views will use and a Method CALCULATE_SUM sum that sums the values.*

I have three WD components specifically that contain views.
First WD comp has two input fileds which are mapped from interface component context.
WD_VIEW_INPUT - WD component
View_input - WD View
Value 1 - Mapped from Interface Node
Value 2 - Mapped from Interface Node
Second WD Comp has one output filed which is mapped from interface component context.
WD_VIEW_OUTPUT - WD component -
View_output - WD View
Output - Mapped from Interface Node
This third WD component uses View_input from WD component WD_VIEW_INPUT and View_output from WD_VIEW_OUTPUT component using component usages for these views.This wd component also has a button that calls calculate_sum method in WD_BLC.
WD_VIEW_MAIN - WD Component
View_main - WD View
Now it calls the method in the BLC and sums the two values that I put in View_input. but sum value does not get set
in the View_output of component WD_VIEW_OUTPUT. While if I see the same ouput value in View_input using context mapping
I get the sum value.
Binding is done properly also only interface node property is checked for Context A in the WD_BLC.
Please suggest where am I making mistake?

You use comp-3 to embed comp_1 and comp_2 to display. My solution is
1. in comp1,comp2 create a insterface method set_blc_usage with importing parameter type if_wd_component_usage
In this method implement the if_wd_component_usage method ENTER_REFERENCING_MODE.
Any other coding creating blc_usage should be deleted.
2. in comp_3 ,create the component usage of the wdc_blc in the component do_init method.
You may have the coding for the creating the usages of comp_1 and comp_2. If you do not have that then i would advice you to do that as well in the doinit method.
Now you can safely call the set_blc_usage of the comp-1 and comp_2 passing the component usage as exporting parameter.
This will make sure that you have only one instance of the wdc_blc among the 3 components.
Your current scenario suggests me that you have 2 instances of wdc_blc component at runtime. -
Oracle Discoverer integrate with SSO, SYS_CONTEXT function does not work?
Here is the summary of steps I have already completed:
1. Following the Discoverer configuration guide, I modified mod_osso.conf file.
2. So right now, when I typed
http:\\host: 7778\discoverer\plus, it will direct me to the single-sign-on page.
3. Then I login as "orcladmin" (a user in OID), and I will be direct to the standard Connection page.
4. And I already create a private connection using database user "EDW".
5. So when I click the private connection, I can run the workbook and see all the data. So far so good.
6. Now is the problem, since I am going to use VDP to restrict the data that SSO user can see. (for example, "orcladmin" can only see school1 data, but not school2 data) So I need to use some sort of function to return value "orcladmin" in the database so that I can use it to create security context and policy (for example, when "orcladmin" login, the SQL query discoverer generated will have a where clause school_id=1). And according to the configuration guide, if I run the following SQL, I should get back "orcladmin":
Select SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV', 'CLIENT_IDENTIFIER') from dual;
But instead, I got null. What is the problem? BTW, when I ran the above SQL, I login into the database as EDWPRD, who owns all the base tables that underlying all the workbooks.

When you say that you are testing this in SQL presumably you are doing this in SQL Plus. If this is true then the answer you got back is correct because connections to SQL Plus do not use the App Server SSO login and so the CLIENT_IDENTIFIER attribute will always return NULL. Try switching this to OS_USER and you should see the user name from the operating system. Switching this to SESSION_USER will tell you the database user name, while switching it to TERMINAL will tell you the name of the machine that you are logged on, and so on.

To take advantage of any of this inside Discoverer you would have to register the PL/SQL SYS_CONTEXT function with Discoverer.

Hello friends. Where can I find the ODBC driver for 8i ? I need to connect to our old 8i server from my Windows 7 box. I can't find it on the OTN Downloads anywhere. When I try to use my built-in Windows ODBC for Oracle, it complains that Components
