Web-Analysis Get Current Day and Display

Hello,
I have a web-analysis report that should show the current business day.
I thought this can be done by using a substitution variable. Are there any better ways?

Hello -
Yes, you will have to update the Substi Var everyday with the current day. You can do it manualy through EAS or you can try to automate the same. One way is to use maxl script an example below -
login 'Hypadmin' '#########' on myessbaseserver;
spool on to 'mymaxl.log';
/* Setting the substitution variable */
alter database appname.databasename set variable 'CurMonth' 'Aug';
display variable all;
spool off;
Logout;
Exit;
You can call this maxl from a batch file scheduled from windows scheduled task to run every day at say for example at 1am in the morning.

Sorry guys and gals, I messed up again due to my noobidity, but you know the two most abundant things in the universe, are hydrogen ..... and noobidity!.
I have this page http://www.poffertjes.ch/index.html that nicely states the current day and date and it also works on all subsequent pages.
I needed a new page and figured I could just copy the code to the same position on this page: http://ppbm5.com/submission.html but behold, it just is not displayed at all.
I have been going over the code many times, but I can't figure out why the current date is not displayed at all. Can someone please show me what I did wrong?

here i want to filter the data on system date,
i wnt the report to pick the date dynamically based on the system date.
but i think restricting on calmonth and calday is not going to solve my scenario..

USe /OSP/GET_DAYS_IN_MONTH Function Module, just give Date you will get No. Of days in that Month.
Use SY-DATUM for current date.
Ex:
Data: dt type SY-DATUM.
dt = SY-DATUM.
so you get current date in dt.

thank you. I could not answer on friday, was not at office.
I tried according to the instructions of oracle ( http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/pr_studio/frameset.htm?data_connection.html ). See comments:
To create an Essbase data source connection:
1. OK
Select Connection on the main SQR Production Reporting Studio screen.
The Create Data Connection wizard is displayed.
2. OK
On the first page, enter a name to identify the data connection.
For example, you could enter Essbase to identify a connection to an Essbase data source.
3. OK
On the second page, select DDO to identify the data source provider.
4. NOT OK. The messages shown: "Unable to start the JVM. Ensure that the JRE section of the SQR.INI file contains the correct directory. (4)"
"Unable to erad DDo Registry.Properties file. Check location and accessibility, an that the sqr.ini DDO pathvariable settings are correct (DDO.3)."
On the third page, select an Essbase data source.
The wizard displays the available registries and data sources.
Seems some setting problems. We would check that. Any suggestions to that error??

Difference Between Current Day and fist day of the payroll period

Hi,
How do i find the difference between the current day and the first day of the payroll period with period parameter XX.
Operation VARSTFDYXX is used to decide if the current day is the first day of the payroll period. But is there any operation available to check the difference in exact number of days.
I know hrs=y is used to find difference between current day and a date specification record from IT0041, but i need to check difference between current day and first day from a payroll period parameter.
Any response is greatly appreciated.

No! haven't seen it at all! Do I have to drain the battery completely and then charge it? I did that the first day I bought the phone and yet the stats are the same for me
PS: I am referring to the Call Time stats and not the Usage/Standby stats

Numbers does not have predefined key command for Insert Date & Time as you can see from this screenshot:
All menus show the key commands on the very right (if there is a ke command). You can add you own, custom, key commands by opening system preferences and selecting the Keyboard panel, then the "Keyboard Shortcuts" segment:
Click the "+" then a modal dialog will appear. Select the application from the pop, then enter the exact name if the menu item, and, finally, your desired key combination:
You can do this for any application

Problem with getting current date and time using oracle.jbo.domain.Date

I`d like to get current date and time using oracle.jbo.domain.Date method getCurrentDate(), but it always return current date and 12:00:00. I also need to get the current time.

I think you should use java.sql.Timestamp domain.
(And set database type to TIME or DATETIME.)

How to get current time and date from my PC time and date to the java application??
i use java.util.* package but got error, that is:
- java.util.* and java.sql.* class are match
- abstract class cannot be instantiated
so what can i do, pls guide...thanks...

There is a method in the System class that will return the current system time. You could also instantiate a Date, Time, Timestamp, or Calendar object, all of which get created with the system time by default.
Don't import *. Import the specific classes you need.
Next time, post the actual text of the exceptions/compile errors. If you make people guess, most just won't bother.

I've created a fairly simple website in which I've inserted
the day and date and want it to update automatically according to
my location, which is the same as the server. Currently, it is in
the following format: Friday, March 14, 2008. I've not been able to
find a simple, clear, step by step answer in my online searches. I
am not a programmer so if you tell me about code you may need to
provide a little extra detail. Do I need to create an html or shtml
page for this code instruction or can I simply insert some magic
