Stacking several masking layers don't work.

Hi,
The attachment contains two screen shots of a movie clip timeline. The images consist of a text mask symbol sliding diagonally other a text layer, and a picture button sliding to the left under an aqua blue mask.
When I scrub the timeline -- things work great. But when I view the movie via the control menu, the dynamic text is not displayed.
The images illustrate the masking layers in unlocked and locked mode.
I have no idea on how to fix the problem. Any suggesting is appreciated.

From the labrary components, its module object is: MultiPage>page1>page1_mc
However, I realized, I forgot to meantion the keyframe on the main time line. Do the following steps.
An alternative method to see the timeline starting from the stage is to put the bottom layer, whole Gallery in outline mode.
On the main time line select keyframe 4, on bottom layer.
Put the mouse on the second green outline box from the left-bottom croner of the stage. It should change to a 4-way arror.
Double click on it. Module frameMulti_mc should open up. Then put layer page1_mc in outline mode.
Lock all layers but for page1_mc. Select keyframe 1 on layer page1_mc. A movieclip circle should appear
Double click the movie clip circle in the middle of the left object. A time line with 36 frames should appear.
scrub it to frame 36. The text should appear.
Also, if you run it via the test movie command, it's gallery 4 in the movie swf.
I also attached a flash CS4 Classroom In a Book illustration file. It's the example I'm trying to simulate.

I am working with a Tecra A9 PTS52E laptop which had WinXP running on it.
I recently upgraded to Win7, but not from a Toshiba install disk.
I found a number (not all) drivers for tecra a9/win7 online;
but some things still don't seem to be working correctly.
first of all, I installed the Value Added Package 20100419152838,
but OSD and the Toshiba power manager don't work. Instead win7 keeps telling me my battery is broken (?) Is there a way this can be fixed?
I also had trouble finding Toshiba Disk Creator, and I couldn't make Toshiba Security Assist work properly...

Toshiba Power Saver is not the same application as you know it from the past. It has now limited options and Toshiba power saver options you can find in advanced power settings for power plan you use.
It cannot be installed as single utility. It is part of Toshiba Value Added Package.
This with battery confuses me completely.
Is battery detected by OS?
Can battery be loaded properly?
Can you run notebook on battery power supply?
This with composite battery entry is normal and the same is listed in device manager at my notebook. How many entries do you have in device manager for Batteries?

Hierarchy Essbase don't work on the diagram in OBIEE

I have problem with use hierarchy Essbase on the diagram in OBIEE 10.1.3.4 .
Version: OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1.090414.1900
Source: Essbase
I have hierarchy Prod1 - Prod2 - Prod3 - Prod4.
When I use hierarchy in the table, hierarchy work fine, and I can see sale from Prod1 to Prod4.
But when I use same query for diagram (vertical linear, type:flat stacked bar graph), hierarchy don't work.
And i don't understand, why?
May be, somebody have similar problem?

Mask layers in button symbols not working?

Hi!
I am making a button symbol with many graphical elements
placed in separate layers. I also want to use regular (not
scripted)mask layers inside the button symbol but it doesn't work
when I test the movie. In the authoring environment tha masking
effect shows up properly but when I test the movie it just stacks
the layers on top of each other as regular layers.
Is this a bug? In previous falsh versions I think this method
was working fine.

that is correct. If you search the forum by "mask button" you
will find posts
going back many years saying that flash does not support
masking within button.
To work around that limitation, you can place your mask in
movie clip and than
that clip inside a button.

Snapping not working for masked layers in Photoshop CC

I am working with multiple layers which have been masked and I am using a grid that has been set up with the guide layout options in Photoshop CC. What I have found is that the masked layers will not snap to guides. It is as if the snapping feature doesn't recognize the masked edge only the true edge of the layer ( which is not visible). This verified when I applied the layer mask to the layer and effectively deleted the non-visible part of the image, and then the "masked-now cropped" image would snap. Is there any way to get snapping to work with a masked layer?

As JJMack stated, the snap only works on the actual layer edges, not a masked area. One way to get around this is to make a duplicate of the layer you want to snap to a guide, apply the layer mask, link that layer with the original, then select only the layer without the mask to move it around and have it snap into place. After positioned, you can delete that layer and keep the masked layer. It's a bit a of a workaround, but it works.

Several keys don't work properly on my MacbookPro keyboard, How can I fix it?

Whenever i press the enter key it writes the letter p and a space, the same with the P key, also the 0 and the ' key don't work at all. If it's not a hardware problem how can i fix this? Blocking Cookies, something don't work on several site.

When I block Cookies, Something will not work.
For example, at twitter.com (of cource displaying login or sign-in page, since cookies off ) ,

I know that I cannot login when cookies off.
I want to know reasons that some components don't work.

Sites can keep track of you among thousands of visitors either by using cookies or by adding a unique code to the address. If the site only uses cookies, blocking cookies will make every request look like a new visit from a stranger. Preferences you set with one request will be lost on the next page load.
That shouldn't prevent you from typing in a form, but the site may have a script that checks whether you are accepting cookies and turns different features on and off based on what it discovers.

Focus Stacking in CC 2014 No Longer Works (Rant)

I just spent HOURS on 2 different computers trying to do Focus Stacking for 2 jobs I'm working on which I couldn't get to work. I just used it a couple of weeks ago without a problem. (And yes I do use the correct procedure :Files>Scripts>Load Files Into Stacks>Attempt to Auto Align>Select All Layers(in Layers Panel)>Edit>Auto Blend Layers>Stack Images) Of course I thought it was something I was doing wrong, so I spent all this time trying to troubleshoot on my end. Finally I tried the Help Chat and spent another bunch of time reproducing the problem and making screen captures to show the CSR only to find out that it is a known issue at Adobe and it might be fixed in the next update. BTW, it was very obvious that the CSR was helping a list of customers at one time since it took so long in between responses. How aggravating.
Here's the rant I left on one of their questionnaires:

Of course a corporation should always challenge itself to get things done, but why did 15.1 (excuse me, 2014.1) have to be released right when it did rather than wait a few more weeks and fix at least the newly found problems?
I honestly thought the Creative Cloud shift would help fix the shortcoming at Adobe where they release what's on hand no matter whether it all works.
To Adobe's credit, the Creative Cloud application now does allow you to roll back to a working version if the newest one broke something you rely upon. That's new, and I think an under-documented and under-appreciated feature.

Noel, I couldn't agree more with your comments. I'm mad not because there is a problem but the lengths one needs to go to find out about it once you discover that something isn't working in the release the way one expected it to. A "bug" sticky for each release at the top of a forum such as this is would BE A GOOD WAY OF HELPING USERS, a basic business ethic that Adobe seems to have forgotten about, the customer IS KING. I'd agree that the CC was expected by users to sort out the problems of release timings but to their credit if you didn't see a release for 6 months due to increasing software bugs you might question the need to have a CC in the first place versus the old way of releasing updates. Is this essentially a problem of software becoming tooo complex with fixes in one are just creating problems somewhere else? - I'm not a software engineer just a knowledgeable user. If I was paying $50 a month for using a couple of CC programmes with disparate uses then I would be seriously thinking why but that question comes at the end of the year for me.
I would also agree that the rollback feature is very useful...

Adobe Flash & Javascript don't work even though Enabled

Ever since what I think was either a Firefox upgrade (I don't know which one) or installation of Quicktime, my Adobe Flash Plugin is perpetually crashed and I cannot play any Flash content on any website. All that displays in place of the video is a gray screen with the sad-face Lego icon and the message: “The Adobe Flash Plugin has crashed. Please reload the page to try again.” (See attached image.) But it will not resolve when reloaded.
No Flash videos on any sites work. HTML5 videos work on YouTube when tested, but non-HTML5 videos won't work.
Also, my Javascript does not seem to be working since at least some displays requiring javascript don't work. Sometimes the display just doesn't work, and sometimes I get a message that javascript is disabled and must be enabled, but it is already enabled (set to “true” in about:config).
I have spent days scouring every help forum entry I can find on troubleshooting Flash Player and Javascript. Everything on my end seems to be in order and I cannot find or fix either problem. I think it is possible the issue could have its roots in the fact that Javascript seems to not be working which may be preventing Flash Player content from working...??
Also, Flash content does work in I.E. but not in Firefox (I do not have Chrome installed so did not test in Chrome). I have too many window tabs open in Firefox and can't switch to I.E. (nor do I like to use I.E.).
PLEASE HELP as this is crippling for very important work deadlines I have.

My Device Manager graphics driver updater states: “driver software is up to date.”
From the AMD website: the graphics driver auto-detect utility recommended the AMD Catalyst Driver (amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-without-dotnet45-win8.1-64bit.exe) I tried installing this driver, but it won't install. After trying to install, I got a message stating: “We are unable to find a driver for your system.” But Device Manager states I have a current driver, and my graphics card & driver seem to be working fine, so I do not believe this is part of the issue.
I am using Latest Firefox version 35.0.1; and
Using Latest Flash Player: 32-bit NPAPI Plug-in Version: 16.0.0.296; designated: “always activate” (Downloaded new update several times, including fresh install after uninstall; system & web address icons indicate Flash is enabled).

I am using Ad-Block Plus which has never affected things in the past. I have not tried starting FF in Safe Mode because I believe I will lose all open tabs and not be able to recover them (I may have over 200 open). But disabling add-ons has no effect (I disabled all except for Sessions Manager in case of a crash). (My No-Script has been disabled for at least six months.)
I have Windows Media Player and Quicktime installed.
Quicktime is most recent upgrade (7.7.6) so should not be a problem according to:

Disabling Quicktime had no effect in the prior version of FF (ver. 35.0), but in latest FF ver. 35.0.1, Flash videos only display a plain (blank) gray screen instead of the sad-faced icon and crash message.

Disabling my FF theme and using the default brought back the sad-faced icon and crash message in the place of videos on some YouTube pages, but not other YouTube pages (where video was still blank gray screen). It also enabled a still Flash image (an ad) to display on a different website page that previously had a Flash Plugin crash message. I have been using this same theme for a couple of years without previous issue. While turning it off did generate an effect on some still imagery, it didn't fix the video problem.
I tried Disabling Protected Mode in Flash 11.3 as explained here:

It did not solve the issue.
I also deleted all storage & data in Flash Player as advised. This had no effect either.

Since it was working for some youtube videos and not others, there might be an issue with a particular video codec. DO you have OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. plugin?
Is it possible to try Safe Mode after saving your session with [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/session-manager/ Session Manager Addon]? IT would test hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Thank you, guigs2! Sorry for my delayed reply...I didn't realize I hadn't gotten back to you. Update is that I did try a whole slew of other troubleshooting steps including starting FF in safe mode, to no avail. However, I was FINALLY (after months) able to solve this problem just today by pure chance!
The problem was that hardware acceleration was enabled in the Flash settings. I had not been able to turn it off because I didn't have access to the Flash Player settings as long as the crash error message was visible, which was all the time! Today, by a sheer fluke, I saw a static picture in place of the crash message on a Flash video. I snagged the opportunity to call up the settings and turn off hardware acceleration, and it fixed the problem for my whole browser! This has been a frustrating issue because I did not have access to the settings utility as long as I had the crash message, which was always, so my Flash was crippled without the ability for me to fix it until pure luck gave me this window of opportunity.
Does anyone know another way to access the settings utility if this ever happens again in the future? I could not find a way. (Incidentally, I had tried disabling hardware acceleration via my graphics driver settings, but it didn't fix the problem.) We need Adobe to allow some other way to access the Flash Player settings utility when this problem arises since they aren't accessible when there is a static crash message.

The only time the sound/speaker and mic don't work is when I answer or make a call. They both work fine for everything else. This has been going on for over a month. AT&T said it's Apple and Apple said it's AT&T. I've been around that cycle twice.
When I dial a call, I can see the status words on the screen but can't hear the ringing. If the person I'm calling answers, my screen will show the call was connected and the call timer will begin but I can't hear anything and they can't hear me. If one of us doesn't end the call, the timer keeps going and I'm being 'charged' for dead air. (Of course, one of us disconnects so mins/cost isn't an issue, I'm just adding the info in case it helps solve the problem.) If they don't answer, the call will go to their greeting but I can't hear it and wouldn't be able to leave a message anyway because my voice isn't going through. However, they will get a voice mail alert and see that I called but no message was recorded.
If some one tries to call me they will hear ringing but when I answer, they can't hear me and I can't hear them. If I don't answer, they will hear my greeting and can leave a message. I can retrieve and hear my voice mail. Trying speaker phone and headsets didn't change anything for calls out nor for calls in.
I have 4.3.3 and have synched, reset, rebooted, turned things on and off and off and on and took the SIM card out of the phone and out of it's tray and put it back in. I've done all that several times in just about every combination and order possible.
Hopefully the following will provide good clues: On only about three of the many attempts I've made to get it to work correctly that included taking out the SIM card, I could make and/or get one or two calls with no trouble but then the problem comes back. Also, when I swapped the SIM card with another iPhone4 on my plan, the other phone would work with my SIM card but my phone still would not work with the other SIM card. The last fact makes me think it is an Apple issue. I'll go to an Apple store (genius) this weekend. Will I be wasting my time and gas? Anybody have any experience with this problem?

Let me try and address some of your questions. I'm only on a pc, so a few of these answers might be slightly different on a Mac, but not too different (such as control click rather than right click).
First, when you buy something on your phone, be it apps or music, it's transferred from your phone to your Mac when you sync your phone. So those apps should now be in you iTunes library. ( IF for some reason you can't find them there, you should be able to download them again, either onto your phone or through iTunes. On your phone, go to the App Store > Updates and you'll see a "Purchased" link at the top of the page, you can view all purchased apps here and redownload them. In iTunes, you can go to Store > Check for available downloads. )
Whenever you plug your phone in, it should create a backup of everything you have on the phone. This is how, provided restoring your phone as a new device doesn't fix the issue (more on this later), you can put all of your music and apps onto the new phone. You can always plug your phone into your Mac and the first thing it should do when it syncs is create a backup. If you want to be sure, you can right click on your device in iTunes (on a pc) or I assume control click on a Mac and select "backup".
The genius will take care of the sim card and setting up your phone, however you will have to put all of your music and apps on it, unless you ask the genius, I've never bothered since I know how to do this.
You should have no problems restoring from a backup if they give you a new phone. However, it's probably safest to try and create a backup of your last phone backup before you restore it as a new device. I suggest you refer to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414 for more information about that.
I've had no problems with my new phone so far.
I'll try to keep checking this thread if you have any other questions or need more clarification.
Edit: I should say we never did figure out what exactly was wrong with my phone. The only thing I can think of was that it got a lot hotter than the phone it replaced, and also the phone I just got yesterday to replace the malfunctioning one. But otherwise they saw no problems with the hardware, but acknowledged it must have been the hardware since we tried everything else. Also I would go with a list of all the things you tried with this phone, for your own reference and the genius's, especially if you're not confident in your tech skills Showing the genius that you've tried: different sim cards, updating the software, restoring it from a backup, and now restoring it as a new device, should convince them that you've done everything you could, and the only other answer is hardware problem.
Also if you don't already have one, make a genius appointment ASAP. Most stores are very busy and their appointments fill up fast. I always suggest making an appointment as early as possible, hopefully before the retail store hours when they've only got techs there because they usually are less stressed and have a bit more time to spend with you. The easiest way to make an appointment is to download the Apple Store app. It detects the closest Apple store from you and makes it quite easy to schedule a genius.

I'm having the same issue with non-working iWeb Page links. This was the first site I built on my iWeb, and posted on my .mac account. Everything works on iweb, but once I "publish all to .mac", the links become inactive. I've reset and tried everything but can't figure out what the problem is. Check it out.

After uninstalling Google Chrome links in e-mail don't work any more

I have Firefox on my computer. I wanted to try out Chrome. After uninstalling Chrome and reinstating Firefox as my default browser, several things don't work properly, especially links in emails. I tried suggested solution of changing registry key for .html from ChromeHTML to htmlfile or FirefoxHTML but neither works. I just want to be able to click the link and open up the relevant web page.

As someone else has this problem I reply to my own question. Only uninstallling and reinstalling Firefox cures the problem.

Wireless keyboard function keys don't work even though updated

Hi,
like i read in different threads, many others had this problem too.
The function keys of my bluetooth keyboard (aluminium 2009) don't work even though i did firmware update for mighty mouse AND the keyboard firmware update. I also unset the option 'use function keys with fn......' option in system preferences. I also tried disconnecting and connecting the device. In system profiler the entry says it is (still) firmware version 80.
What can i do?
I'm thankful for any hint.

Wanting to buy a keyboard and reading this thread (and others), I went to a local Best Buy. They had quite a few of the wireless keyboards out. They had MC184LL(A) models and (B) models.
ALL of the (A) models worked perfectly with the iPad (typing, brightness, volume, ipod functions, etc).
NONE of the (B) models worked other than basic typing.
They had a stack of maybe 50 new wireless keyboards on the shelf. All but two of them were (B) models.
I bought one of the two (A) models. It is working perfectly on my iPad.
