Stacktrace problem (line number missing)

i wrote a jfc-subclass-library for myself and use it in all applications. now i added functionality to one of the classes and made a new jar.
when i now use it in an application there is a ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException. the problem is not to fix the error - the problem is to find the error. the stack trace just tells me this stuff:

what can i do to resolve unknown source to the line number where the error occured?

i fixed it
due to the usage of ant to build that jar i checked the ant-tasks-manual.
you have to enable the debugging information explicitly via debug=true

Can not set breakpoints due to missing line number attributes

Hi,
I am using Eclipse 3.0, Jboss to run my Java applications. Till yesterday I could set breakpoints and everything was working fine.
I didn't change any settings but it is not allowing me to set breakpoints anymore.
Error is:
Unable to install breakpoints due to missing line number attributes
I double checked the settings in window->preferences->compiler->classfiles
Add line number to class files is checked.
Is there anything else I can do?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm facing the same problem (no line number information) on the following configuration:
Eclipse 3.1.1 SDK with WTP 1.0 feature, Weblogic 7.1, running on weblogic provided JVM: JDK 1.3.1_08
I have already done the following:
1/ Re-checking debug preferences in Eclipse and rebuild all projects in the workspace then redeploy via ANT.
2/ Building via ANT1.6.2 with all javac tasks set to debug="on" and redeploy
Breakpoint is located in code section residing in one of the workspace's projects. But I don't know weather 3rd-party jar resources have been compiled with debug enabled or not; I suppose however it does not matter as I do not try to debug 3rd-party code but ours.
Any suggestion appreciated.

The only way I can sign out /off from iCloud is to uncheck everything that I wanted to keep in the cloud????

Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages. This should also sign you out of iCloud.
Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
If that does not work
Skip the iCloud sign in
Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
Change your Apple ID to the old one
Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.

False Originating Line Number being sent across th...

I am having problems with people ringing my domestic line and saying that they have a missed call message from my number although I have never called them.
Up to 40 calls a day from mobile and landline numbers. Mainly during working day or early evening. Very few at weekends.
This has been going on for over a week. I now can not answer my landline due to people being abusive when I say that I have never called them.
I have no modem or Sky box etc on the line, only Broadband. Also my billing shows that I am not making these calls.
Obviously somehow my OLI [ Originating Line Number ] has been hacked or incorrectly programmed onto someone else’s out going line. I would suggest that this is a business line for a call centre or power dialler. One caller left an abusive message on my answer phone telling me to stop repeatedly calling them.
Can anybody suggest how I can track down the line that has been making these calls as has my phone number programmed against it.
If I ring my mobile or another land line the correct OLI is shown.

PS I am a retired PABX and Call Centre telephone engineer.

I can sympathise with you this has happened to me in the last three weeks and it has driven me insane. BT have been of little help despite daily calls. I felt as though I was a joke and that I was in fact making this up. I was refused access to BT Managers after numerous requests for an escalation. I have spoken to two supervisor at call centres and three priority team managers. I have written and e mailed BT and not had anyone contact me.
The result was far from satisfactory and I had to suggest to them the supposed experts that I had been spoofed. Now it appears they agree after being referred to the Nuisance Call Team. I have had no proof that this is the case and was offered two months free line rental as restitution. I has so far cost me 7 hours on the phone, loads of abusive calls and threatened with violence plus the cost of replacement phone as suggested by one agent.
I am less than impressed and I have only been with BT since mid February.

I have another but related question:
I am using a testing tool, called as Fitnesse. When an exception is thrown, it shows the exception trace but the line numbers are not shown, because the source code is unknown to the tool. It is an open source tool, so I want to change the settings such that it shows the line numbers.
I know, maybe I should ask the question to the tool-forum. But I think, this problem is a general one, not related to a specific tool. How can "java" know the line number of the source code, where an exception is thrown?

Beside these two , delivery schedule line number is not populated in production order.

i have an ALV report requirement like this,
on the initial screen i have displayed(for a given agreement number like in ME33K )
in the selection screen i have taken agreement number as EKPO-EBELN.
purchase document number        item number        short text        target quantity      net price

                                                    2                     xxxx                 1.000                  500000.00
the above fields i have taken from EKPO table.....
and on double clicking the item number i have displayed
line number          service number       short text           quantity    units    gross price   quantity released

the above fields i have taken from ESLL (esll-extrow, esll-srvpos, esll-ktext1 , esll-menge etc......)
this i have done by passing EBELN to ESLH and getting PACKNO and passed this PACKNO to ESLL.
now my question is i need to display Purchase order, PO Item , Order Number ,entry sheet quantity ,entry sheet price ,invoice quantity, invoice price
against each line number above.....
from which table do i need to take these fields.....
please guide me....

The problem is the multiple invoices is for non goods receipt item so there will be no delivery.At the time of creating a PO the GR is not checked so there will be no delivery .
Also this setting is for invoices which are comming from Vendors.But if we are genrating the invoices manually it is not blocking those invoices.Also i there is nowhere mentioned in Incomming invoice to set tolerence for incomming invoice.Are you talking about Vendor tolerences?

Dear Experts,
We have a PO that can not be transferred to P1 because of the error message:
SE 337 Please enter a line number.
We tried to checked the transfer of the PO.
The error message came from the Backend Function BBP_PO_INBOUND.
But it is not possible to define the exact cause of the issue (the exact transfer parameter) due to missing RFC authorization.
The following changes were made in the PO (PO already mapped in Backend) after that PO cannot be transferred:
- a deleted item was set back
- WBS Element was changed

Hello Evgeny,
Whenever you create a PO in SRM irrespective of number of the
line items chosen, in the backend system this PO will contain
a single line item in the Item section.
If you delete all the line items in the PO and
attempt to undelete them the undeletion will not work since the PO is already
considered to be deleted in the backend.
Please try delete and undelete a individual line item
in a PO provided there is at least one item which is not deleted.

Finding the right line when Oracle says an error happens at a line number.

Hi,
Were using Oracle 11.1.
I use TOAD 10 to develop.
When I run a procedure sometimes I'll get an error message saying "an Oracle error happened at ### line number"
When I go to that line number, that's usually not where the error is.
I'm not talking about an error where they say it occurs at line 1.
It'll say line 124 and in the TOAD editor that will occur in the middle of a cursor or something.
I'm pretty sure that's not where the error actually is.
Is there any way to find out where Oracle is talking about?

Hi,
In triggers, the first DECLARE or BEGIN statment is counted as line 1, even though there are often several lines before that.
In other procedures, the line numbers are relative to the beginning of the relevant CREATE statement, e.g. "CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY ...".
Where these statements are in your files has nothing to do with the error messages. For example, if you have a package spec that goes on for 50 lines, then 10 lines of comments, and then a package body, all in the same file, then the line numbers that you see for the pacakage body will be 60 lower than the line numbers from your file. (You may want to use separate files, each starting with a CREATE command on the fitst line, for just this reason.)
Oracle often gives multiple error messages for the same error. For example, if a cursor definition begins on line 50, and you mis-spell a column name on line 55, you may get a message saying "statement ignored" referencing line 50, but you'll probably get another (more useful) error referenccing the particular problem on line 55.
Of course, some errors can't be detected right away. For example, if you forget a single-quote at the end of a string literal, the compiler will think that all your subsequent code is part of that string literal. Not unitl it encounters another single-quote, perhaps at the beginning of another string literal, dozens of lines later, will it know that any error occurred.
Those are the main pitfalls I know about.
If you have an example of something that confuses you, post it. Shorten the code as much as possible such that it's easier to post, but still gets the same error. Post the complete error message, too.

I had this problem - it appeared to be due to having Firefox 4 with the Firefox Sync installed as an add-on. Firefox 4 has sync included so there is no need to have it as an add-on. I went to the add-on manager and removed Firefox Sync and now appears to be working correctly.

Updating the Line number on status bar.

I have developed an editor using swing, however I have used the JTextpane class to display the text. I had did of trouble with features such as go to line as this class does not support methods such as getLineCount in the JTextArea class. However I over came this by writing the method shown below.
The problem is that I want to show the current line number on the status bar. When do I call this method? After every '\n'?
The setLine Number method is below.

Perhaps extending a PlainDocument is better, if line
numbers are meaningful for your application.
About your method, mind that getText can be quite dear,
so it is better not to call it if you don't need it.
For a more efficient alternative, look at Document.getText(int offset, int length, Segment txt)It uses a Segment (un unguarded string) pointing directly
into the document, which you can use much like a char
array.
As to your question, I would define a CaretListener
so as to update the status bar when the caret moves.

Few of my amount_cr lines are missing from the query, check GL_JE_LINES_V.

I have a discover report which have 5 union all, and one of the select statement brings the information about the cr.type like 'MISC'from the table called ar.ar_cash_receipts_all cr.
This query basically brings the information of amount_dr and amount_Cr from the general ledger table, the navigation for the same is as below.
Navigation:
Enter journals
pick some Batch Name
Click find button
Place cursor on the line item from the list that has Journal Name like Miscellaneous receipts
Click on Review Journal.
When you check the record history pulls the information as GL_JE_LINES_V.
I am not able to pick few of my amount_cr values.
Tables and joints used for my query is as below.

Thanks for responding my query, here is best i can mention further regarding my query problem.
The code which I have posted earlier, has been coded by some other technical person, I have posted part of the main query which pulls ‘MISC’, the posted query is not pulling all the amount_credit (amount_cr) column information, few of the lines are missing,
The amount_dr, amount_cr is basically called form GL_JE_LINES_V, I have checked this from record history, I want to know whether, I need any further tables to be added for the existing query, in order to pull the missing amount_cr
Lines.
Basically, when we check the description of the view GL_JE_LINES_V
We have few tables.
GL_JE_LINES JEL
, GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS CC
, GL_JE_LINES_RECON REC
, GL_SYSTEM_USAGES USE
I would like to know is there any way to use another table instead of
GL_JE_LINES_RECON REC, because when I query it, I wont see any data from this table and this have two major joins in the mentioned view called GL_JE_LINES_V.
