Standard price as condtion recod price.

hi all,
my client is requiring for some products standard price, which maintained in the material master accounting-1 needs to display inthe sales order PR00. For this how to configure.
thanks in advance.
regards
sunil.

Hi Sunil,
Simply remove PR00 and it will work fine if you always use VPRS as your pricing base inside the pricing procedure.
VPRS will reads both prices based on the price control in the material master.
Price control S for standard price.
Price control V for moving average price.
It is this simple if you do not have any other "Prices" in the price procedure.
However, if you are using one pricing procedure where for some items you price using VPRS and some others using PR00, then you should use requirement routines to enable the correct price condition type at the right time.
The second method involves more work as you need to write a formula (VOFM) to get that information.
This is how it goes :-
1. Set VPRS to be the first step in the pricing procedure and to be subtotal B (as standard).
2. Set PR00 with alt. calc. type formula, which sets the value of PR00 to be equal to the subtotal B.
The routine (created with transaction VOFM) is:
RV64A901
FORM FRM_KONDI_WERT_600.
    XKWERT = KOMP-WAVWR.
ENDFORM.
The pricing procedure than looks like that:
Step 1 VPRS statistical, subtotal B, reqt 4
Step 2 PR00 Altcty 600
Reward points psl.

  • Cost Run for Raw Material taking Standard Price instead of Moving Price

    Hi all,
We ran a material costimate with normal components FG>SFG>RM.  The RM price Control is set to
V (Moving Average Price) and for SFG & FG it is S(Std. Price).  After we run CK11N, the price for
RM in Material Master changes as per Moving Price.  We found that the RM Component is
costed based on Standard Price and not on the previous cost run Moving Average Price.  After
certain period, if we again do cost run, the sytem is again picking up the standard price for costing
not the revised Moving Price.  We have checked the Valuation Variant in the Costing Variant, where the strategy given is 1. Moving Average Price 2. Standard Price.  We also tried to change the
sequence as 1. Price as per Purchase Info Record 2. Moving Average Price and 3. Standard Price and
also 1. Standard Price and 2. Moving Average Price.  Our requirement is when we run the cost estimate the raw material has to pick the price of previous moving price stored in the Material Master.  Kindly tell us where to set the indicator.
    Thanks,
    Sadashivan

    Hi Srikanth,
Problem solved.  I checked the sequence in Valuation Variant and modified in Valuation Variant for Plant which I have not set previously and now the system is working correctly.
    Thanks,

  • Copy Standard Cost to Moving Average Price

    Dear All,
We are maintaining the materials with price control as Standard Price and moving average price is updated and used only for statistical purpose.
I have a requirement of copying the standard price to moving average price field just after the standard costs have been released.
We have used CK40N to complete the calculation and release of standard costs.
Please let me know which SAP standard transaction can be used for the purpose.

    Hi
Whats the need to copy std price to moving price?
I dont think there is any such t code to copy it.. But a weird work around is, if u r on ECC 6.0, you can change the price control from S to V and again V to S.. In this process, your price will get copied from S to V
However, not a recommended way of doing... If you do, you shud do this at a shot and blocking all others users

  • Change price control indicator from standard price to moving avg price.

    Hi All,
There is a material which has a negative stock for the previous period and the previous period is already closed.
When i want to change the price control indicator from S to V for that material in the current period, it shows an error that "negative stock is there, unable to change price indicator".
Kindly help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks,
    AK

the price control indicator can be changed  from standard price to moving avg price at any time .......with some restrictions.
And one of these restriction is the one you see.
You must not have negative stock.
Hence you have to make the negative stock zero
Since your negative stock is in the previous period, you either have to allow posting into previous periods (trx MMRV , of course Finance has to allow this as well)  first. Then you can post e.g. a 202 movement with previous period date  which has a quantity that equals your negative quantity. then you change your price control, then you do a 201 movement (again with previous period date), finally you can restrict posting into previous periods again in MMRV.
or you just wait a few days, then with the month end closure your curent period becomes previous period and hopefully you will not have negative stocks again. then you can change the price control without any problem (I usually take care that moving average and standard price are equal befor I change the price control)

  • Difference between Standard Pricing and Moving Average Price

    Hi,
Would like to seek some advises on the difference between standard price and Moving average price.
also, how does it affect the account postings differently?
    Thanks

    Standard Price
Materials whose price control indicator is set to S are valuated in Financial Accounting (FI) at standard price.
This is recommended for semifinished products and finished products.
The moving average price is shown as a statistical value in the material master record.
The standard price is normally calculated using a standard cost estimate for the material. The standard price can also be calculated in a mixed cost estimate.
    Moving Average Price
When materials whose price control indicator is set to V are received from in-house manufacturing processes, they are initially valuated with a value you defined (such as the standard price). When you settle, the material stock account is debited with the variances. This results in a new moving average price.
Valuating semifinished products and finished products with the moving average price is not recommended.

  • SBO - Shift from Standard Price to Moving Average Price

    Hello,
My customer has created few items with Std Price.
There was not item cost allocated to them and they discovered that the cost of good sold is fully allocated to purchase price variance.
Now, few logistical movements have been done on these items and they want to shift from Std price to Moving average price.
How can we do so since the field "Valuation Method" is no more updatable?
    Thanks for your help
    Stephane

The Valuation Method is modifiable only if the stock is zero and there is no open delivery or goods receipt transaction (which could modify or need the cost) for the item.

  • Using gross price instead of net price at Quotation

    Hi,
I'm working at a company that just bought SAP ERP ECC 6.0. Our consultants told us that SAP only works with Net price in MM. It sounds a little bit weird for us, because here in Brazil we usually use Gross price in all our transactions.
Here in Brazil we have some taxes that are included in gross price and it's a hard work ask the final user to calculate the taxes out of SAP and input net Price in the system.
I read a little bit some documentation provided by SAP at Internet called SAP Library and I found an article titled:Entering a Quotation Against an RFQ
In this article says the following: " You enter the net price per unit in the Net price field. This price includes the vendor's normal discounts and surcharges only. Cash discounts (for prompt payment) and taxes (e.g. value-added tax) are calculated separately.
You enter the gross price in the Net price field, and maintain the conditions for the item. Then the system automatically replaces the entered gross price with the calculated net price (see Maintaining Conditions)."
As we can see, there are two ways to input the price. Gross price and Net price. I'd like to know if is there the possibility to configure the "mentioned conditions" for a group material and at the moment I type the gross price in Quotation the system automatically calculate the net price?
Our consultant told us that this procedure should be done for each item in quotation, in my opinion I guess that SAP can link the applicable taxes for the material based on its group material. If something like that is possible, our daily work will be simplified so much because the system will know the taxes that should be discounted for the material and calculate automatically the net price.
If this possibility exists, could you please tell me in technique terms (transactions) that should be set?
Another question is about Taxable Income, is there any place in SAP where I can configure the Taxable Income for a material or group material for the taxes set at "mentioned conditions"?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sorry about my English.
    Best Regards,
    Amorim, Rodrigo.

What you need is a new pricing procedure design to fit your requirements. The standard pricing procedure allows you to enter the net price. Then the gross price is calculated after taking into account the discounts, taxes etc. These discounts and taxes can be designed to determined automatically through material group also. So to achieve your requirement the pricing procedure has to be changed accordingly to calculate the net price from gross price entered. While this can be done, but all other impacts on pricing reports and accounting document posting with correce valuation price etc. have to be tested in detail.

  • Issue in Exporting the Sales Price List and Purchase Price List for the Materials from SAP Business ByDesign (SAP Cloud)

    Hello Everyone,
I would like to have a discussion on the issues, which I am facing at the time of Exporting the Sales Price List and Purchase Price List for the Materials from
    SAP Business ByDesign (SAP Cloud).
    (1). Sales Price List :
We have maintained Customer Group Specific Sales Price List for the Materials in the following Location.
Location :         Product and Service Portfolio Work Center > Pricing > Price Lists > Customer Group Specific Price List (Type of Price List)
Target :             We want to export the entire records in some reports or excel sheet.
Records :          Number of Materials in the Customer Group Specific Price List is more than 2,00,000
    Issues :
(A). In the SAP Business ByDesign Screen we can filter by number of records but we can export till  50,000 records.
And if we are trying to export records more than that limit, then it throws "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error".
(B). We could not find any SAP standard reports in Product and Service Portfolio and/or Business Analytics Work Center
for getting the entire record set of the Sales Price List, so that we can have the entire set of records together.
    Searching For :
(A). Is there any SAP reports or data source available for getting the entire Sales Price List records?
(B). Can we have any other filter conditions for exporting the Sales Price List records in a single shot or module wise?
    (2). Purchase Price List :
We have maintained the Purchase Price List for the Materials in the following Location.
Location :           Product Portfolio Work Center > List Prices > Active List Prices (Type of Price List)
Target :               We want to export the entire records in some reports or excel sheet.
Records :            Number of Materials in the Purchase Price List is more than 4,00,000.
    Issues :
(A). In the SAP Business ByDesign Screen we can not see more than 10,000 records and the actual number of
records are more than 4,00,000. We could able to download the records till 10,000 but that is not sufficient.
We want to export the entire records in an excel sheet.
(B). We could not find any SAP standard reports in Product Portfolio and/or Business Analytics Work Center for
getting the entire record set of the Purchase Price List, so that we can have the entire set of records together.
    Searching For :
(A). Is there any SAP reports or data source available for getting the entire Purchase Price List records?
(B). Can we have any other filter conditions for exporting the Purchase Price List records in a single shot or module wise?
Please go through the attached screen shots for the references and more clarity on the issues.
I am waiting for the valuable responses.

    Dear SAP Experts,
My client looking for third party ordering scenario where sales order pricing must forwarded to PO pricing condition value.
Sales order has price components like gross price, freight, tax, commission. Most of SO price components value must copied into PO pricing conditions created as third party sales. Do we have any standard configuration for this ? How can we copy order price into PO pricing condition?

    Hello,
Create a similar pricing procedure what you have at the sales order level. It should therefore pick up the same values and match your sales order pricing.

  • PRD-Auto Post price differences to different price difference accounts

    Dear all,
As I know, in Account Automatic Posting, the transaction key  PRD is for Cost price Difference.
If I want to post price differences to different price difference accounts in the case of goods receipts for different cost in purchase orders, How can I configure it?
Example, in PO, there is 2 costs: Freight (F) and Insurance(I) are key in as Condition Type.
I would like to post price difference from F to account XXX, and  price difference from I to account YYY.
    Can I configure like this?
Thank you very much for your support!
    Cao Huy

    Hello,
    What is price difference.
Price differences arise for materials valuated at standard price in the case of all movements and invoices with a value that differs from the standard price. Examples: goods receipts against purchase orders (if the PO price differs from the standard pricedardpreis), goods issues in respect of which an external amount is entered, invoices (if the invoice price differs from the PO price and the standard price).
Price difference in genereal will not trigger for the materials with price control V ( Moving average price) but however
Price differences can also arise in the case of materials with moving average price if there is not enough stock to cover the invoiced quantity. In the case of goods movements in the negative range, the moving average price is not changed. Instead, any price differences arising are posted to a price difference account
For you example, you have you are having PO with Freight (F) and Insurance(I), these are called pallned delivery costs, not Price difference,
so create two different condition type for Freight and insurance and assign two different G/L accounts for these condition types in account determination.
While posting system will hit perticular G/L acconut.

  • Standarad price and moving average price

What is the diff between Standarad price and moving average price ???
    Somasundaram

Price Control V or S in material type
When is it useful to use the price control V or S in Material Master ?
Do I have to follow the SAP standard setting in the material type for the following material types:
    - ROH(Raw materials) -> moving average price
    - HALB(Semifinished products) -> standard price
    - FERT(Finished products) -> standard price
In which case and why is useful to change these standard setting in material type?
What is difference between standard price and moving average price?
When and how to use it?
Standard price are used for products that do not fluctuated frequently.  It is usually used for finished or semi finished products.
Moving average price are used mainly for raw materials that are purchased externally.  The advantage of using moving average price for your raw materials is that your inventory costs will always reflect the current market cost.
SAP strongly recommends that you do not select price control V for semi-finished products and finished products, because doing so will very easily cause the calculation of unrealistic valuation prices. SAP recommends:
Price control V for raw materials and trading goods; price control S for semi-finished products and products.
If you nevertheless select price control V, take care in the following situations:
    1. Unrealistic prices occur if materials are produced and also retire during one period (that is, the inventory at the end of the period is smaller than the total of aquisitions from production orders) and if, in addition, several production orders belonging to a material were finished in this period, and the production order settlement calculates variances at the end of the period. Every single production order carries out an inventory coverage check and may therefore cause the moving average price to be changed. However, the individual production orders do not check whether the inventory available at the end of the period has already been debited by another production order.
Example: on 20 workdays in the period, 1 piece of material xyz was produced for each day and delivered to the warehouse at a price of USD 1000. At the end of the period there is 1 piece at the warehouse. Since an activity price of a participating cost center was higher than planned , every single production order calculates cost of goods manufactured of USD 1100 during the settlement. Every single one carries out a inventory coverage check and finds out that the variance can be posted completely to the inventory. That is, the ending inventory of one piece is debited with USD 20 x 100 and it consequently receives a price of USD 3000.
    1. A settlement is carried out although not all costs have yet been posted to the order. This can even result in a price of 0 for the delivered product.
    2. No period check of the costs is carried out on the order, that is, costs from previous periods may be settled.
    3. Settling orders is already possible in the 'Delivery completed' status.
Solution: Standard price for products together with possible manual price changes.
If you are required to valuate semi-finished and finished products with actual prices that correspond to the costs of the actual production, SAP recommends you use the function of the material ledger for this. Here, a periodic actual price is created that is calculated on a much more reliable basis than the moving average price. A so-called price limiter quantity is used which makes sure that in the above example price differences are proportionally taken into account (95% of the total price differences) when valuating the 19 pieces withdrawn from material xyz which results in a periodic actual price of 1100 USD. In addition, it is possible as of Release 4.5 to even take into account the variances of the actual prices of the raw materials in the valuation of the semi-finished and finished products that are manufactured from it.
If we select std price for any type of material or mav and then make po, it will pick from material master or what?
The Purchase Info Record have the FIRST priority.  When no po info record is found, the Purchase Order will pick the user LAST enter price.  The PO module do not pick up any price from material master.

    Ashok

  • Std price and moving avg price

hii frends...in which scenario we hve to go for std price and moving avg price...
    thnx in adv...

Generally all raw materials (ROH), spare parts (ERSA), traded goods (HAWA) etc. are assigned as moving average price (MAP) because of the accounting practice of accurately valuating the inventory of such materials. These materials are subject to the purchase price fluctuations on a regular basis.
Company generally uses moving average on purchased materials with small cost fluctuations.  It is most appropriate when the item is easily obtainable.  The impact on margins are minimized which reduces the need for variance analysis.  Furthermore, the administrative effort is low as there are no cost estimates to maintain.  The cost reflects variances, which are closer to actual costs.
The semi-finished goods (HALB) and finished products (FERT) are valuated with standard price because of the product costing angle. If these were to be MAP controlled, then finished/semi-finished product valuation would fluctuate due to data entry errors during back flushing of material and labor, production inefficiencies (higher cost) or efficiencies (lower cost). This is not a standard accounting and costing practice.
    Hope this will help you.

    Hi
Under certain conditions, you can change the type of price control:
From standard price to moving average price :-
You can make this change at any time. The moving average price (which until now has been updated for informational purposes only) replaces the standard price and is used for valuation from now on.
From moving average price to standard price:-
You cannot make this change in the following two cases:
    1. If the material master record is set up as a valuation header record for a material subject to split valuation .
    2. If the standard price comes from costing and is not equal to the moving average price
If the change is possible, the moving average price becomes the standard price, which is then used for valuation.
You change the type of price control by overwriting the price control indicator in the material master record with the new indicator.
Changing the type of price control for a material does not change the value of the material stock, since in both cases the current price becomes the new price.
I hope it will solve your problem. Please revert back.
    Regards
    Raj.......
