Below steps are the the high level plan for the BW implementation
1. AS IS process - Study of the existing process.
2. To be process mapping - What will be the new process.
3. customizaiton in SAP & query development - Customizing the cubes and ODS,Reports
4. Unit testing - Testing of each and every module and reports
5. Full testing - Full system testing. In this step all steps are integrated so, it is also known as Integration testing.
6. End-user training - Training for the Power user (first line users) by the SAP Consultants. They will in turn train to other users.
7. Go-live
8. Support for initial month-ends. -
9. Post implementation support....

"Case use" technique for SAP implementation?

It would be helpful to go through the help document of ASAP Methodology.
The following information may clarify some doubts/requirements you have.
Generating the Project IMG through ASAP:
After you have set the project scope, the next step is to generate the Project IMG. From the Business Process Master List (BPML), you can directly access the IMG activities relevant for configuring each process.
BPML: The Business Process Master List, along with the Business Blueprint, is a key result of the second phase of the Roadmap. Microsoft Excel tables contain the SAP scenarios, process groups, and processes that have been set in scope in the SAP Reference Structure, and are crucial for configuring your SAP System. In Realization, the third phase of the Roadmap, the BPML provides the basis for monitoring and steering test activities and for configuring your SAP System. It contains the titles of the structure items, and displays the status, the owner, links to documentation and links to the SAP System. Amongst other things, the BPML allows you to:
1) Set your baseline and final scope. These are used for baseline and final configuration.
2) Access the Project IMG and specific IMG activities assigned to structure items.
3) Access integration test plans, which help you carry out all required integration tests.
The Prerequisite is you have set the project scope.
Process Flow to use the Business Blueprint as a basis for configuring your SAP System:
1) Set the project scope.
2) Generate the Project IMG.
3) Generate the BPML.
4) From a specific processes in the BPML, you can go to the relevant IMG activities and make Customizing settings.

Standards for match on card

Hi all,
It's 2 days that I'm searching this forum and reading match-on-card related topics. that was good but unfortunately I could not sum all the info up.
So I'm so sorry for asking old questions again!
1. Is there any standard for extracting biometric features by the readers(scanners)? I mean If I write my own matching algorithm how can I be sure that my card will work with all the readers? Do all the readers respect to any standard for extracting features and then sending them to the card?
2. Do all the java cards have match-on algorithm implemented on them? If not, then what is that javacardx.biometry package for? It has a function named "match()" in it.
3. What is the role of globalplatform here? As I understood GP's concern was all about the security not about standardizing the process of extracting biometric features, storing them on the card, matching them and other issues. Am I right?

1. You need to worry more about the cards technology than the reader technology. Most if not all support 7816. As long as they conform to the standards, and you use the same biometric vendor hardware, you will be fine. You still need to weight your options of engineering your own or using a vendors MOC. I would chose the latter personally.
2. MOC is dependent on the card vendor and your needs. Just because there's a spec doesn't mean it's implemented on your card. From what I could recall, adding "features" like MOC increased the cost so much that off card matching was preferred. Just use the card to store the biometric.
3. GP was for the financial use of the cards. It was created to increase greater adoption throughout the industry. JC didn't offer the security needed by the financial industry. So GP extended the JC to add additional security features that were missing. Because it was so well engineered, it's become a defacto standard on JCs.
Keep in mind, I've left the JC industry for greener pastures, so some of what I mentioned might have changed

Standard way of implementing different timezones.

Wanted to know the standard way of implementing timezones for an international web application.
I have the different companies information in a table called company.
Is it a good idea to store the timeoffset from GMT in the database or create a new table timzone and link this table with the company table.

The decorator pattern was meant for this =). Look it up; I believe you will find it useful. You can use the decorator pattern with your Weapons.
Enums do make sense, since the weapon types will be considered constants. Just to let you know, 2D arrays are really only useful for data structures that have a finite 2D shape, such as those found in tictactoe programs. I'd suggest that you look into the topic of data structures sometime.
I think that a better way to implement the attacking system would be to have the Weapon object do the damage itself -- assign the logic to the object that contains the data necessary to carry out the logic. This way the program is more modular and setter/getter requests, which threaten the maintenance of a program (changes in implementation will ripple throughout), are avoided. (If the player is to carry out the task of doing the attacking, it will have to retrieve information from the weapon. And if all the Weapon objects do is store Weapon-related information, then they're weak objects and it's a clue that you're giving their responsibility to other objects when you shouldn't be.) I would go would this idea.
Now that I think more about it, your player class could interpret input from the UI (or do stuff based on UI-generated events) and create the appropriate weapon and have the weapon do the damage/attacking itself, as I described above.

Can i get a new serial number for Adobe CS6 Design Standard for Students and Teachers?

I have had to re-install my Adobe CS6 Design Standard for students and teachers after having problems with my computer (MacBook Pro)
I am wondering if there is a way to access my old serial number from when I originally installed CS6, or do I have to start over again and get a new serial number?

You normally use the same serial number that you are first issued. If you registered your product when you first installed it then you should be able to find your setial number available thru your Adobe account online.

There's a problem with Adobe Flash, media, etc. and other Adobe programs, (which I use for downloading boarding passes for airlines, etc.) so basically I have to delete these other Adobe programs, besides the Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard if I want to 7.0 Standard to work. I periodically download the updates, but there's still a problem. My question is: Can or should I purchase another program to update the present Adobe Acrobat 7.0 standard, or just buy a new program such as the Adobe 11? Am I mistakenly doing something wrong, such as when I download? I'm an old valued customer so I don't want to spend a lot of money since I am replacing my Dell XP for a new computer now, and my other computer is a Dell Vista.

If you are getting a new computer (for a PC it would have Win 7 or 8), then you will need to purchase XI if you wish to continue using Acrobat. Acrobat 7 is not compatible with these systems (and probably the same for MAC systems), though sometimes workarounds are possible, though not easy to use. I guess the answer is to buy the new version. What are the thread safety requirements for container implementation?

I rarely see in the TopLink documentation reference to thread safety requirements and it’s not different for container implementation.
The default TopLink implementation for:
- List is Vector
- Set is HashSet
- Collection is Vector
- Map is HashMap
Half of them are thread safe implementations List/Collection and the other half is not thread safe Set/Map.
So if I choose my own implementation do I need a thread safe implementation for?

Our application is always reading and writing via UOW. So if TopLink synchronize update on client session objects we should be safe with not thread safe implementation for any type; does TopLink synchronize update on client session objects?
The only thing we are certain is that it is not thread safe to read client session object or read read-only UOW object if they are ever expired or ever refreshed.

As a general rule of thumb, the ATI Rage 128 Pro will not support a 20" LCD. That being said, there are reports of it doing just that (possibly the edition that went into the cube).
I'm not that familiar with the ins and outs of the Cube, so I can't give you authoritative information on it.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard for the Mac?

Okay, I apologize for what may appear to be a frightfully stupid question, but is there an Acrobat 9 Standard for the Macintosh? There appears to be support files and such for Adobe 9 Pro for the Mac available, but whenever I search for the Adobe 9 Standard, all I can seem to come up with is the Windows version...?
If not, and if for some unknown reason, they aren't updating the two version numbers in sync with each other, what's the most recent version of Acrobat Standard for the Mac? Or will I be stuck with 9 Pro as my only option, and end up having to pay for the additional features I don't need?

Honestly, if you are creating a PDF, say in a Business setting, to go on a website. Except when it specifically meant to go to a Printer. Do you need the Print Press Stuff??
More bang for the Buck would create a Version For Print press industry.
Then Have then the pro version have the PDF forms Creation stuff that available in PC only now.
The feature set that was in Acrobat 5 is a much better fit. If someone need Print Press features sell it as a $50.00-100.00 add-on.
There are some features related to Print press I never have used. But I got them because I needed forms creation for the Web.

How to set naming standards for SQL Developer

I am using SQL Developer version 3.0.04.
In the newly integrated and very useful Data Modeler, we can set preferences for the naming standards to be applied when creating logical and relational model objects ( primary keys, foreign keys, et cetera). I would like to know if there is a way to set naming standards for the relational objects we create in SQL Developer on existing tables ( ( primary keys, foreign keys, et cetera).
Any help in setting such preferences would be appreciated.

If you want to set up a diagram for an existing database, you can use File/Data Modeler/Import/Data Dictionary to import its definitions.
Alternatively you can open a Data Modeler Browser (using View/Data Modeler/Browser), expand the node for Design "Untitled_1",
expand the node for Relational Models, and select Show from the Right-click drop-down menu for "Relational_1" to create a Relational Model diagram.
You can then drag Tables from SQL Developer's Connections tree onto the diagram.
Once you have a Relational Model you can reverse engineer it to an Entity-Relationship model using the << button in the button bar
(or by selecting "Engineer to Logical Model" from the drop-down menu for the Relational Model).

How can I set a customized view in finder set as standard for ALL folders?

As I have a large number of folders, I need a specific view in finder: symbol view, sort by program and name. I tried to use this settings as standard for ALL folders, but using the 'set as standard' button does only work for the folder I am in, but not for ALL folders. I even tried to use this settings on the hard disk level in finder, but what ever I tried, it never applies to all folders. The problem occurs on each of my devices and on Yosemite OS 10.10.1. as well as Mavericks 10.9.5. Any ideas on how I can make the 'standard' work on all folders?

However, In Gabriel's blog:
Performing a unique key validation for an attribute that is declared to be unique in the database requires a round trip to the database. This is quite expensive and there is a fast and easy way to work around it.Is false on several fronts:
1). it's not expensive - it's actually cheaper than the alternative
2). Unique key validator can require many trips to the DB to validate - it must check all other rows in the EO to ensure there is no duplicate, and all of those rows must be fetched into the middle tier to do the validation: this is expensive.

Adobe Acrobat XI Standard for Windows upgrade to Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for OS X

I have changed the platforms, from win to mac, and Adobe Acrobat is required for my work. I own Adobe Acrobat XI Standard for Windows and I was interested if I could change the platform to OS X, but unfortuantelly XI Standard is not available for mac. Also, I could not find a way on Adobe.com site to upgrade XI Standard to XI Pro and then change the platform.
Please advise.

I believe Adobe have been known to deal with "crossgrades" before, but you would need to contact sales in person to deal with this.
