You can search Google for Numbers templates. You may also be able to find an Excel spreadsheet which you can import into Numbers and then modify. I am not personally aware of any templates so I can't point you to any in particular.

Cannot access Yahoo Small Business email using Mail icon on main screen of IPad

Until recently I was able to access my Yahoo Small Business email using the main Email button on the home screen - along with my regular Yahoo email. When i contacted Yahoo Small Business for help, the gentleman was unable to help. He just gave me the link to setting up a Yahoo Account on Ipad. My regular Yahoo mail works fine so this wasn't helpful. He said that is all he can do.
I downloaded the Yahoo App and can access both email address from it, but it is less convenient. This tells me it isn't a password issue.
I have tried using:
Incoming mail (POP3) server
pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
use SSl
Port: 995
Outgoing mial (SMTP) server
smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
use SSL
Port 465 or 587
If anyone can send me the correct steps to set up my small business email so that I can access it via the main button (which I was able to do until recently!), I would appreciate it. In addition, I access both via my Yahoo account on my laptop - no problem. I am using an iPad 2 that was upgraded to Version 7.

i did read a lot of thing about controling the server viea main.asc
but i tide a lot of thing regarding , and there is no luke ,
eg:
i did create an main.ascin in
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3\applications\live\
and just for test i did set in it this code :

i can under stand that wehn the FMLE is start sending the stram to the server , it will desconnect !
but nothing happend .
ok i told my self it maybe if any user start the flash player in my website ,
i did start the flash player and the steem was viwed .

to solve the 1st problem , that i list in my pervios post i think we have to have a txt file content all stramanme that has the right to be online ,
how can i get the stremname by action script and hpw can i load the txt file to check if the streamname is listed or not

Small business accounts programs

Hi there,
I have recentely been given a mac. I own a small business and previously used quicken for my accounts. I have looked at MYOB package but didnt like the set up, also I know about filemaker but it does have end of year reports etc. can anyone suggest any other simple, well designed account programs for the mac?

Hi Suzie,
Don't be too hasty in writing off MYOB. In my opinion it's the best accounting package available on the Mac. The set up may look daunting but it's really not that difficult - have you got an accountant who could help you.
The beauty with MYOB is that you can keep it as simple or as complicated as you wish.
The only downside is the lack of online support within a dedicated MYOB environment although there are plenty of MYOB users on these boards who could offer assistance.

Business Accounting Software Users -- Opinions Needed, Please

I'm looking to switch my small business accounting software from an older, Windows version of QuickBooks to my Mac. My initial thought was simply to buy QuickBooks Pro 2006 for Mac, but I've read many negative reviews of the software. The only viable alternative seems to be MYOB software, but I've not read many good reviews of that product, either.
Could those of you who are currently using your Mac for small business accounting please share your experience. What program you use, pros and cons, etc. I'm looking for fairly basic software that will allow me to do invoicing, some bill paying, electronic tracking of my checking account.

I wrote my own in FileMaker Pro.
Macworld recently published a brief online review of MYOB's AccountEdge 2006 and FirstEdge 2.0, as well as QuickBooks Pro 2006. The MYOB products edge out QuickBooks Pro in their review. Click here to read the reviews.
My Mac-using friends and clients prefer MYOB products, especially when they also have accounting backgrounds. QuickBooks Pro is generally considered the easier to use, but those I've talked with who have accounting backgrounds consider it a bit too "dumbed down" for their tastes and see MYOB's offerings as worth the setup and some learning for the functions provided.
Last I checked, both firms had "try before you buy" offers, enabling you to "test drive" each and decide for yourself. Often it's better to test-drive the applications yourself rather than rely on any review or recommendation.
MYOB and QuickBooks are the heavy-hitters in this market segment. You might find other shareware or commercial solutions by searching MacUpdate or Version Tracker. The user-submitted reviews accompanying the listings on those sites can be helpful in sorting the wheat from the chaff.

Good Business Accounting Software

quickbooks is now 2 versions old, and quicken home business is not even an option for mac osx users. Are there any decent small business account softwares on the market for mac osx users... especially those that will work with most online banking systems?

I use AccountEdge, which has been on the Mac a long time. It can be powerful, but I wouldn't call it easy or intuitive. It's a little more intuitive if you already have an accounting background. They have a simpler version called FirstEdge that I probably would have bought instead if it had existed when I was buying. AccountEdge is really more suited for multiple employee businesses with inventories and such. FirstEdge might be better for a one-person shop.
Both compete with QuickBooks.

Hello! I would like to create a small business website using iweb. I created something simple, and I am happy with it, but I was wondering if anyone knew how I could use it with a regular website address (www.company.com) instead of web.mac.com/company and still use iweb. Any tips or advice would be great. Thanks!

I've recently started to use Numbers but when I try to sync to iCloud it asks me to create a new iCloud account. Problem is I already have one and that's the one I want to use. Looks like I have the same situation on my iphone. Any guidance? Thanks.

The last thing you want is a second iCloud account. Try logging out and back in in System Preferences. If that doesn't work, I'd get AppleCare on the line.

Getting started with cloud as a small business

I am a small business and will have approximately 5 people using different part of CS6 cloud - I have just read through your info but am still a bit confused. Am I able to purchase the monthly subscription and have all 5 people start using or are there other official channels to be followed. I suppose I want to know how difficult is it to get started.

Each person is required to have their own Individual subscription or one Seat on a Team subscription.
The Team subscription allows an Administrator to handle all payment and then give out paid Seats. If a person leave the company just remove their seat and their account reverts to a Free subscription.
If you use Individual subscriptions then each person handles their own payment, however that is done at your company.

Office Small Business Premium 365 - Setting up multiple Exchange accounts

Can we set up multiple Exchange accounts on a single Outlook profile using Outlook 2013 (365 Full App)? We have an email subscription to O365, and we have another email account that's hosted with GoDaddy that's an Exchange account. I think it's
possible, but I'm being advised that it isn't reliable (or that it can't work). I found this TechNet article that seems like it

Seems like it is possible. I was able to add two exchange accounts (office 365 services) into Outlook 2013. I guess this is possible through Email Accounts (add New...). Thanks, Microsoft!

I am using apple mail on my Mac and have two different accounts set up, one personal and one business. when i send mail a copy of the message is being saved into my business account swell.

Both accounts are Imap but the business one is Gmail and the persoanl one is 1and1. when i compose new mail in my personal account I make sure it says its going from my 1and1 account but for some reason the message appears in both sent boxes.
I need to fix this as I dont want other people using the business account seeing my personal sent emails!
This has only just started in last couple of days when I did something on accounts but cant think what that would have been.

I realize that it is illegal to use some of the (OEM) software that was distributed with the refurbished HP nw8440 Mobile Pro Workstation (small business HP Compaq notebook) I bought (direct from HP) on a different computer system (than the one the software came with).
My question, though concerns the hardware (hard disk, keyboard, memory modules, speakers, mouse, etc.) components that came with it.
Specifically, is it legal for me to use such hardware components on a different computer system (than the one the software came with), or even to sell it, give it away, or dispose of it (separately from the HP computer system that it came with)?
The reason I ask is that one of the licensing agreements that came with the system said something like:
The initial user of the product may make a one-time transfer of the product to another end-user. ... The transfer may not be an indirect transfer, such as a consignment.
and I'm retiring this (Windows XP) computer, and am unfamiliar with such licensing terms.
I just started using its hard drive in an older desktop we have whose hard drive failed.
I believe that should be OK license-wise, but it made me wonder what restrictions, if any, I might have on other future uses of such hardware.

Can I use my Office 365 for small business version of Sharepoint to develop a type of Business Database Management System?

We have an excel sheet that job enquiries are logged into, estimates and a quote are produced, upon receipt of an order a job is started and once completed gets invoiced. Standard business workflow stuff, can I get 365 to automate this?
I would like to be able to upon a new enquiry being entered and an order received, a set of job folders are automatically created using a unique number from the excel sheet as its job number. These folders would have certain document templates within
them for use on the related job.
I have been experimenting with Zoho Creator to develop a system to do this, but as we have adopted 365 (small business version) it would be preferable to be able to do this all in one place.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

As I understand, you would like to create a management system to create folders via number in Excel sheet.
In my view, we could import the Excel sheet to a list, then use workflow to get number and create folders.
