"startManagedWebLogic.cmd ATGProduction" error
Hi
I have installed ATG Commerce Reference Store and have been getting this error while starting the ATGProduction server as per this step on the install guide

I have tried the resolution available at this link to remove boot.properties from the managed server and delete the contents of ldap directory but it did not help
http://www.weblogic-tips.com/2010/05/12/20100512how-to-resolve-authentication-denied-boot-identity-not-valid/
Can some one suggest a resolution ?
Thanks
Forgot to mention this in the first reply itself that you would also need to have a machine associated with that managed server when starting it from console.
1. Create a Machine from Environment > Machines > New. Give any name you want (e.g. TestMachine/MyServer/...) in the name field, click next and then finish.
2. You should now be able to see your newly created machine in the summary of machines. Click on it and go to Servers tab.
3. The servers table will initially be empty as there is no managed server associated with that machine. Click on Add button and complete the wizard to assign your existing managed server instance to the machine.
4. When done, Environment > Machines > Summary of machines > Servers tab should display the managed servers that have been assigned to that machine.
5. Now start the node manager.
6. Once node manager is started then try to start your managed server using the Admin Console as you would have done previously.

Error starting startManagedWebLogic.cmd soa_server1: JScaLiteReferenceProc
I am trying to install SOA suite and it is failing. I can get the Admin Server up and also the BAM server up. Oracle Database is working Ok. The error I get after issuing startManagedWebLogic.cmd soa_server1 is:

NeriThe problem here is that out-of-the-box SOA Suite 11gR2 (11.1.1.3.0) lacks 3 jars in its ${Middleware_home}\modules:
* com.oracle.weblogic.jscalite.engine_1.0.0.0.jar
* com.oracle.ws.http_client_1.1.0.0.jar
* com.oracle.ws.orawsdl_1.1.0.0.jar
that were present in Fusion 11gR1 (11.1.1.2.0) in ${Middleware_home}\modules.
Install previous one, and just copy jars. I bet this is plain packaging bug. -
StartManagedWeblogic.cmd is not referring startup.properties
Hi,
I am starting multiple managed servers by using startManagedWeblogic.cmd. But the startManagedWeblogic.cmd is not using domain_home/servers/server_name/data/boot.properties and domain_home/servers/server_name/data/nodemanager/startup.properties files while starting. Is there any way to pass startup properties to startManagedWeblogic.cmd? The files under
domain_home/servers/server_name/data/nodemanager/startup.propertieswill be used by nodemanager while starting the servers. You should configure nodemanager and use it to start the managed servers. See : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24329_01/web.1211/e21050/starting_nodemgr.htm#NODEM209 for more information. Also take a look at this : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24329_01/web.1211/e21050/java_nodemgr.htm#i1068413 for configuring nodemanager.properties to enable the StartScriptEnabled and StartScriptName -
Look in: startManagedWebLogic.cmd
and you will see it mentions: startWebLogicManaged.cmd
Small thing... just shows how confusing the name is ;)
How about: startWLSAdmin.cmd and startWLSManaged.cmd or something.

set SCRIPT_NAME=%~n0
and just use %SCRIPT_NAME% in place of the hard-coded name.

ChkErrBB.CMD Recovery Error Message
I purchased a G62 notebook/laptop in February of this year. I have had considerable problems with hackers online infecting and corrupting the system and recovered the system like 5 times with the recovery partition until it became corrupted and disappeared from the hard drive. I then ordered the recovery media and was able to recover system an additional 6 times until I got this message listing:
ChkErrBB.CMD : Detect some error during PININST_BBV.
ChkErrBB.CMD : Check c:\system.sav\logs\BurnBootWarn.log
ChkErrBB.CMD : check c:\system.sav\logs\BurnBootMerge.log
I saved the log but it does not appear on the flash drive it says it successfully loaded onto so I can't include that. Funny thing is, I got an original Windows installation disc and it bypasses this problem and is able to make system completely functional again. I would very much like to get the system back to factory original as Windows installation is not as full featured or custom as HP system is.
I have removed the wireless card to alleviate some hacker problems I was having and have now misplaced it, but I had recovered system succesfully previously without it leading to this error message. Acronis and I think FDISK are the only diagnostics which seem to find 4 'bad' or unstable sectors on the hard drive, so I don't know what to make of that as Western Digital diagnostic/wiper and others do not? I have also flashed the BIOS to the most recent F27 version, and discharged BIOS battery/capacitor to try to get around this problem a couple times to no avail. I have updated all other drivers to the most recent versions except for the hard drive which you do not support with original or updated version online.
I had purchased PCTuneup service for 70 dollars which was unable to remedy this problem before it expired. When I first encountered this problem with the recovery process, the tech I talked with said I could send in the computer and pay 400 dollars to have it fixed, which is more than it cost new, so this is the last resort I have to figuring out this problem in hopes of solving it. Obviously, I did some warranty-voiding activities since I got that unhelpful help.
Looking forward to any technical insights and help you may have........My hard drive worked fine with 8.1pro which I paid for and copied on a USB and installed on my Envy Notebook. Also downloaded and installed Windows 10 Beta. When I tried to use my recovery disc from HP. it didn't work and I got your 3 error issues. HP said the installation I did of Windows 10 messed up the boot partiton and they would send me a new harddrive and new recovery media and that would take care of the problem. I installed it and used the recovery drive they sent me. Same errors.
Called back and now they want me to send my computer in for repair. I said that was not the problem. I can install my version of Windows 8.1 pro I purchased from my USB drive but could not install from their usb recovery drive. By the way this is the third recovery drive they sent me.
And the third hard drive I have installed in this computer and it is not yet 3 years old.
I found a solution from some other person online with the same errors. He said to go into the Boot Section of the HP. F10 and reset it to Factory Defaults and then reinstall the HP USB recovery drive. I am doing that as we speak. It didn't work on mine but I am going to give it a second try. -

Cameron,
Are you running setEnv.cmd before running startweblogic.cmd ?
The SetEnv.cmd script sets the WL_HOME variable. Make sure you have this
variable set.
Alternatively, try adding the absolute path for the license folder (inyour
case C:\weblogic\license ) in the weblogic.class.path entry in the
startweblogic.cmd file.
The server will look for the WebLogicLicense.xml in this folder at startup
time.
The reason why the server starts from the start menu is the fact that this
entry is part of the weblogic.class.path
From your posting
weblogic.class.path=C:\weblogic\license;C:\weblogic\classes;C:\weblogic
\myserver\serverclasses;C:\weblogic\lib\weblogicaux.jar
Thanks

Hi there,
Using .exe and copy methods have been covered quite allot in these forums, but I cant quite find one that shows me why this isnt working:

Edited by: Mr_Tuition on Jan 2, 2008 8:21 AMI don't know much about DOS-ish commands, but presumably copy is not an executable program,
but rather the cmd.exe equivalent of what's called a "shell built-in" in unix. That is, I would guess that
the command "copy" is interpreted directly by cmd.exe.
If that's the case, I see the following options:
1) Execute cmd.exe and tell it to run the copy command. This probably has its own quirks that I'm not familiar with.
2) Find a copy executable somewhere on your system and invoke that (if it exists).
3) Create a .bat file that contains the copy command and execute that.
4) Do the file copy directly in Java, without invoking Runtime.exec. -
Weird Bouncy castle problem... works on cmd prompt, error in midlet
Hi, i'm developing a RC4 code.... it works when i made the main method display the plaintext, ciphertext and decrypted text.
But, putting it to a MIDlet, i get the error message:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/bouncycastle/crypto/CipherParameters
at TestRC4.<init>(+36)
at java.lang.Class.runCustomCode(+0)

at com.sun.midp.main.Main.runLocalClass(+28)
at com.sun.midp.main.Main.main(+80) Why? how do i fix it?I call OpenProcess(), even with minimal parameters like PROCESS_QUERY_INFORMATION
Actually it's not minimal:
Generic read access to a higher integrity process (PROCESS_VM_READ access to the virtual memory of a process, and
PROCESS_QUERY_INFORMATION) is restricted to block the ability of lower-privilege processes from gaining read access to memory that may contain password data or other key material that is used for authentication.

ThanksAlso, you must put the parameters of the net use command in the correct order.
C:\>net help localgroup
The syntax of this command is:
NET LOCALGROUP
[groupname [/COMMENT:"text"]] [/DOMAIN]
groupname {/ADD [/COMMENT:"text"] | /DELETE} [/DOMAIN]
groupname name [...] {/ADD | /DELETE} [/DOMAIN]
This help information tells you that you put the group name first after the words
net localgroup. As Forest brook pointed out, if the group name contains spaces, you must enclose it in quotes.
After the group name, put the name of the user or group you want to add to (or remove from) the local group. If the user or group name contains spaces, as noted, you must enclose it in quotes. After this group name, put the parameter
/ADD to add to the local group, or put /DELETE to remove.
For example, suppose you want to add the domain group FABRIKAM\Account Operators to the local Administrators group. This is the command you would enter:
C:\> net localgroup Administrators "FABRIKAM\Account Operators" /add
This command adds FABRIKAM\Account Operators to the local Administrators group.
In your specific case, it looks like the command would be:
C:\> net localgroup Administrators "XYZ\Desktop Administrator" /delete

Boot permission error starting managed server using startManagedWebLogic
Hello
I have a clustered WLS environment and am having problems starting the managed server from the command line using startManagedWebLogic.cmd script. The managed server starts without any problems from the admin console. Using the startManagedWebLogic.cmd script and the same login as I use for admin console, I am getting the following error when I execute:
startManagedWebLogic MyServer http://localhost:7001
Error displayed is:
<09-Aug-2005 14:21:46 o'clock BST> <Critical> <Security> <BEA-090404> <User vgnadmin is no
t permitted to boot the server; The server policy may have changed in such a way that the
user is no longer able to boot the server.Reboot the server with the administrative user a
ccount or contact the system administrator to update the server policy definitions.>
The WebLogic Server did not start up properly.
Reason: weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: User vgnadmin is not permitted
to boot the server; The server policy may have changed in such a way that the user is no l
onger able to boot the server.Reboot the server with the administrative user account or co
ntact the system administrator to update the server policy definitions.
Has anyone come accross this problem before? What can I do to run the managed server from command line?
My environment details:
OS: Windows 2000 Server SP3
WebLogic Server 8.1 SP2 (clustered with a single node)
Thanks in advance for your help.I have the same issue. However I am using ALES (Weblogic Enterprise Security) with WLS SP3.
Mine could be an ALES specific issue. Let me know if you have any updates. -

Back again? Nothing learned?
No jdev version?
You should n^know by now that you have to give at least some basic information.
A description of what you tried to do outside the listing would help too.

Error during application deployment in cluster
Hi All,
I am seeing a weird error when I deploy my application in 2 node cluster. Few months back, the same cluster worked perfectly alright. The error relates to lookup at localhost:7001 which is no where in the configuration as admin server url is http://srai-xp:7001. I created a new domain and see the same problem.
Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

>I checked all deployment descriptions and there are no references to t3://localhost:7001. Few months back, I had the complete clustering setup working on 2 machines and now when I deploy my application on same configuration, it fails with t3://localhost:7001 unreachable error. I created a new cluster configuration on one machine with 2 managed server and it deploys fine. Can not figure out what has changed ?
