Steps for creating custom doclet
I'm a complete newbie to this whole JavaDoc Doclet stuff. I trying to create a custom Doclet I think. I want to use all the standard annotations but add 1 of my one aswell and a method so only the methods with my annotation is shown.
I have a custom Doclet from the sun tutorial but don't have it creating a html file in docs folder or have it recognising any of the standard annotations. It doesn't extend or implement anything.
Any advice on the step to take when creating a Doclet would be much appreciated.Thanks for the reply Leonid, still confused do.
I'd like to create a HTML page that will show all the standard annotations/tags but also a custom tag. From the tutorial I have:
import com.sun.javadoc.*;
public class ListClass {
public static boolean start(RootDoc root) {
String tagName = "myTag";
writeContents(root.classes(), tagName);
return htmlDoclet.start(root);
return true;
private static void writeContents(ClassDoc[] classes, String tagName) {
for (int i=0; i < classes.length; i++) {
boolean classNamePrinted = false;
MethodDoc[] methods = classes.methods();
for (int j=0; j < methods.length; j++) {
Tag[] tags = methods[j].tags(tagName);
if (tags.length > 0) {
if (!classNamePrinted) {
System.out.println("\n" + classes[i].name() + "\n");
classNamePrinted = true;
System.out.println(methods[j].name());
for (int k=0; k < tags.length; k++) {
System.out.println(" " + tags[k].name() + ": " + tags[k].text());
Should I be extending Standard or Doclet, I tried to extend Standard but it said it couldn't find myTag.
I read a few places it's probably easier to just create the whole Doclet thing from scratch but is very time consuming and seems a bit daunting to me.
I'm probably not making much sense but I'm a bit lost with all this. -

How to create custom infotype for training and event management
hai freinds can any one tell me how to create custom infotype for training and event managment with following fields
PS No PA0000-> PERNR
Name - PA0001 -> ENAME
IS PS.No. PA0001-> PS no. of Immediate Superior
IS name PA0001 -> ENAME
thanx in advance
afzalHi,
Your question is not clear for me. Since it is a TEM infotype, it could be a PD infotype.
If you wish to create a PD infotype, use transaction PPCI to create the infotype.
But before that you need to create a structure HRInnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.
If you wish to create a PA infotype, use transaction PM01 to create the infotype.
But before that you may be required to create a strcuture PSnnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.

Hi,
I want to create a custom infotype with the following fields.
Molga (country grouping)
Personnel Number
Subtype
Language Key
Comment Line 1
Comment Line 2
Comment Line 3
in this first 4 fields are keys. The user should be able to edit only the rest of the fields.
Subtypes similar to the infotypes values 0168,0169,0014,0015,0009,0006,0002 should be created.
While updating and saving the infotypes 0168,0169,0014,0015,0009,0006,0002 the system should prompt this infotype through dynamic action to enable the user to enter comments.
can anyone give me a step by step approach for creating this infotype?

Steps to create customized Master data infoobjects in BI 7
Hi all,
Can anyone please send the detailed steps to create customized master data infoobject in BI7,and also the data is to be extracted from two different datasources from two different source systems.
Regards,
G.Monica Roja Flora.Some data modelling tips while creating master data infoobject and extracting data from different source systems -
If there are identical characteristic values describing different objects for the same characteristic in various source systems, you have to convert the values in such a way in SAP BW so as to make them unique.
For example, the same customer number may describe different customers in different source systems.
You can carry out conversion in the transfer rules for this source system or in the transfer routine for the characteristic.
If work involved in conversion is too great, you can compound the characteristic to the InfoObject Source System ID (0SOURSYSTEM). This means it is automatically filled with master data. The Source System ID is a 2-character identifier for a source system or a group of source systems in BW. The source system ID is updated with the ID of the source systems that provides the data. Assigning the same ID to more than one source system creates a group of source systems. The master data is unique within each group of source systems.

Adding description text to the screen for a custom infotype.
I have created a custom infotype through PM01 with 3 components. The component types have domains with lists of values (value range). How do I display the short description from the value range on the screen in PA20 or PA30?
For example I want to display Continuous Self:
Text Value Description
FML Absence Code FMCS Continuous Self
I tried adding an I/O field to the screen referencing DD07V-DDTEXT (where the domain values are stored) but the description will not display in PA20 or PA30. All three fields would have this same reference and that is not allowed either.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Thank you.In PM01 for the custom infotype select Screen..Edit..Flow Logic. Three input/Output fields were added to the screen layout. Since all three fields were in the same table with the same field name, they all have to have unique names in the layout.
Module 9009 was modified to add code to retrieve the text.
SELECT SINGLE * FROM dd07v
WHERE domname = 'ZZHR_FML_ABSENCE_CODE'
AND ddlanguage = 'EN'
AND domvalue_l = p9009-zzfmlabccd.
select single ddtext into w_fmlstatus from DD07V
where DOMNAME = 'ZZHR_FML_STATUS_CODE' AND
DDLANGUAGE = 'E' AND
DOMVALUE_L = p9009-zzfmlstatus.
select single ddtext into w_fmlaleave from DD07V
where DOMNAME = 'ZZHR_LEAVE_TYPE' AND
DDLANGUAGE = 'E' AND
DOMVALUE_L = p9009-zzfml_leave_type.
I hope this helps. -
R/3 Screen for a custom infotype must resemble same as IT0591.
Hi Guru's,
I am having a requirement to create a custom infotype same as IT0591 in r3. I searched in forum for creating the infotype in such format and i found that table control using wizard is used to update the repetetive datas. I had created a table with repetative fields and generated the infotype. When i went into r3 side it is displayed as seperate fields, i deleted all fields and using icon table control using wizard i drew a table control and declared a internal table and assigned to it and the code is generated automatically in PBO and PAI but when i compared the same with 0591 it is entirely differrent. Now my problem is how can i bring the same screen in my custom infotype. I dont know where i had missed or i am going in right path... Kindly help me to sort this issue. <removed by moderator>.

vijayHi
Follow the below steps to find out what all BADI's are called when you press any button in any transaction.
1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
Now
4) Execute SAP standard transaction
5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction.

What are the basic steps for creating a content repository?
I am trying to create a document store on a file system (fsdb) that will hold files that are ftp's to that location. Is this possible using KM? If so, what are the basic steps for creating a file system repository and using it through KM? I have found stuff on help.sap.com but that only tells you what each component does not what actual steps need to be taken to setup KM, such as user rights , creating an entry point, so that all of KM is not visible, etc...
If anyone knows of any guides that show a step by step process that would be great too.
Thanks
PaulHi Paul
First of all you need to create a new repository
Suppose you want to add all the documents under folder Paul under C: Drive
(Even you can put whole documents of C: drive into Paul)
Navigate to System Admin -> System Configuration -> Knowledge management -> Content Management -> Repository Manager -> File System Repository
There you can create a new directory by clicking on button New
Give the parameters as follows :-
Name : Anything you like
Description : Anything you want
Prefix (must start with /) : Probably same as your repository name like \Paul
Lookup mode : caseless
Root Directory : C:\Paul
NOTE: This is the trick. You need to give the proper path means folder path which you want use as repository)
Repository Services : Any services you want
Property Search : Managercom.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.generic.search.SimplePropertySearchManager
Security Manager : AclSecurityManager
ACL Manager Cache : ca_cm_rep_acl
The save it
Now see whether the same repository is coming under KM Content or not, if not may be after restart it will come.
I think the above information will help you. If still you have problem, please feel free to contect me.

Steps for Creating a Report in Oracle Apps
I need the steps for creating a Report 2.5 in Oracle Apps.
Please let me know the steps involved in detail
Regards
ChoudaryFirst you create the report using reports 2.5. (You need to refer Application Developer's User Guide to understand Apps standards for customization)
Then register the report in Apps:
1) Define the executable
2) Place the executable in the appropriate directory (You need to refer Apps installation guide to find the directory structure for placing reports)
3) Define the concurrent program (Pay attention when you define program parameters and value sets associated)
4) Attach your report to the request group attached to your responsibility
5) Run the concurrent program using SRS (you will not see the report when you open Submit Requests Form, if you do have permission)
The above procedure is applicable if you are defining the report directly in your instance. If you are using chain link, then you may have to migrate the objects appropriately.
Some of the above activities are usually done by System Administrator and users are not given permissions.
