Still having issues with AP primary/secondary controller option

Customer has two primary controllers each in HA SSO, each using v7.6.130.0, FUS 1.9.0.0; the AP population is a mixture of mostly 3502, 3602 and 1142. Both WLC's management interfaces are in the same vlan and the mobility communication is up. AP fallback is enabled on both WLC.
Over the weekend the upgrade to 7.6.130.0 was completed and the first AP tested with primary controller defined worked on the first attempt. Every successive reboot of the AP always worked. This did not work previously when the WLC was on v7.6.100.0.
L2 client roaming between APs joined to different controllers also worked great.
While the roaming test was being carried out, a few APs not involved with the testing migrated over to the new controller. This wouldn't be a problem but there are about 15 APs that must reside only one controller. As luck would have it, 5 of the APs which migrated to the new controller are APs which must stay on the other controller. Setting their primary controller had no affect. Each time these 5 APs were reset they ignored the primary controller setting and joined the new controller. These were 4 1142 and 1 3502.
What am I missing? I have checked and double checked the configuration, read and reread the documentation. I am working as a contractor and this is starting to look very bad for me if this problem can not be solved.

I would like to follow up and share the resolution to this problem.
After upgrading to 7.6.130.0 and finally determining that one of the test APs was actually bad, we were able to move forward. Since removing the bad AP from the test, we now have the ability to direct APs to a specific controller at will.
In the testing, we found that using just the system name worked in all test cases. This was confusing since using the FQDN worked for some APs but not all. This issue is why I started this discussion. Nobody homed in on that detail, so I hope this will help someone in the future.
Both the primary controllers are in the same management vlan, we only used the system name.

I am still having issues with the TOC. I finally got several chapters and sections to show different pictures in the TOC, but have spent hours trying to figure out how to repeat it. This should be so simple. Is there an update? Please help us Apple.

I am still having issues with the TOC pictures. I got several chapter/section photos to show up, but can't seem to repeat this success. It is some mystery that happened during a time that I had practically given up. This should be such a simple thing. Drag and place a picture into the placeholder and it shows up in the TOC....right? Help, help help! want to get this thing done and it's taken two days of work just get some of the photos to show up. I am going to have to publish this ibook with no photos in several sections.....why can't this be simple? I have even had someone else spend hours trying to figure this out. This software is such a GREAT idea....come on...help with this little part of it.

I had the same problem myself. I got to the point where I couldn't replace the photo, of a new chapter, in the TOC. What I did was to duplicate an existing chapter that was working and was able to replace it's TOC's photo. I also found that if you try different areas of the photo you can sometimes get it to replace correctly. For example, instead of dragging the new photo to the middle of an existing photo, try dragging it to the right top corner.

Mac Pro 6,1 STILL having issues with Open CL (4K scaling and SpeedGrade direct link grades)

I've seen the staff responses to the issues of the new Mac Pro GPU saying that 10.9.4 fixes everything. For me, it has fixed my export issues, so I'm glad. I'm no longer getting lines and artifacts on my renders.
That's great.
However, I'm still having several issues, and they seem to be linked to Adobe and Open CL.

Issue #1
Like most of you probably, I'm doing 1080p exports of most things I'm working on. The first project shows a 1080p timeline with a mix of 4k, 5k, and 720p footage. Because zooming in so much on a 720p file in a 4k timeline looks so crappy, I'm doing 1080p timelines and scaling everything to the size it needs to be. I started in a 4k timeline then switched to 1080p because the 720p footage looked so terrible. However, in the 4k timeline, I didn't have any of the issues I'm showing in this first part of the video.
When I switched to the 1080p timeline, I discovered a weird quirk: When I resize the 4k (or 5k) footage to the size it needs to be (which varies based on the frame I want), it goes back to the 100% view when I'm scrubbing through it. When I pause, the size of the video goes back to the way I set it. I show this in the video. Then I show what was my working solution for the time being: "scale to frame size", which brings all the videos to the size of the sequence frame size and works fine. Later, I turn off OpenCL in premiere and when I scrub through the video, it doesn't zoom back in or only stay at the size I set when stopped. For some reason all of these issues only happen at 50% scale or smaller. It doesn't happen at, say, 60%.
I've tested this with raw R3D files and other 4K (or 5K) clips (even clips exported from After Effects) and the same thing happens. It doesn't seem to happen with 2.5k footage or 1080p footage.
Issue #2
This is the second project you'll see in the video.
After grading in speedgrade (through direct link) I open my project back up in premiere and start playing it back. The video plays back with delays and frame drops. Now normally, this would be expected. But this is 1080p pro res footage, and this is just an effect added, and the yellow bar appears indicating that open CL should be accelerating the playback and it should do so smoothly.
Maybe I was just wrong in assuming that a simple grade from speedgrade would be able to playback smoothly. I turn off the grade, and it plays normally.
But then, when I turn off open cl and leave the grade on, the video plays back without ANY issues.
So to me, it seems I'm still having issues with Open CL and adobe. I've found fixes that make it work temporarily, I don't need that kind of answer. However, I would like this to work. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Something I need to do to get this to work?

64 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 ECC
AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB (x2)
OSX 10.9.4

What you're seeing is latest version of Premiere (CC 2014, v8.0.0 [169] Build)
Everything here is ProRes 422, running from a Promise Pegasus2 R4 RAID (drives: 4x Seagate Desktop HDD 4 TB SATA 6Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive ST4000DM000) (that's thunderbolt 2).
I've done everything: I've restarted my computer hundreds of times, I've reset NVRAM and PRAM and done power cycles.
This isn't just some issue that started with 10.9.3 of OSX, the 4k issues happened when I first switched to a 1080p sequence back in February (2014) or so, which means it was an issue even with 10.9.2 and the previous firmware release.
I've reported this issue to adobe.

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

Still having issues with my podcast feed in iTunes

I am still having issues with my podcast feed. The podcast is not updating in iTunes yet I can see some of the new episodes through an alternative RSS.

I'm afraid I can't give you an easy answer. The Store has not updated since the episode of 10th November, but the later episodes appear when subscribing and there doesn't appear to be any problem with the feed.
The Store does appear to go through sticky patches sometimes and take a long time to update some podcasts; it will probably catech up eventually and I'm afraid that there isn't really much you can do about it. You could try emailing Support ad podcasts 'at' apple.com, but I suspect you will get a form answer telling you how to add episodes (which you already know).

HT4628 Still having issues with Lion os X and wi-fi

I am still havign issues with Lion os X and wi-fi. I have 3 domputers in my house including the new macbook pro that has lion os x installed. The wifi drops out all the time (every 2 minutes). I have followed all the instructions on how to fix this but I am still having issues. The other two computers work fine, one of the is Lion os X that has been updated but I managed to play with the setting and fix this one. This computer worked fine on Snow leapard and then a soon as I installed Lion the wifi started having issues.
When will apple make an update that is going to fix this problem. You want to buy a new computer that works, I took it into apple and they told me that it is my router, but I know it is the software as there are 100's of blogs and threads about this exact issue occuring only when their computer was updated to Lion.
Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue other then un-installing Lion and buying Snow Leapard?

Does this problem happen with just your airport base station? Do you have a 3rd party wireless router? Can you duplicate the problem using any wifi access point? Did your computer come with 10.7 preinstalled? Did you purchase the applecare with your computer?

TS1569 iphone ios5.1 still having issues with Bluetooth

Iphone Ios5.1 still having issues on Bluetooth connectivity.

I lost The Bluetooth function completely two weeks ago. iPHONE IOS 5.1 .
This is not a pairing issue, or wrong usage. Suddenly it didn't work in my car any longer. Resetting didn't help. I have tested against two other iPhones, my PC, my headset and my iPAD. (all this units have had BT connections with my iPHONE earlier)
My iPhone Bluerooth is simply not working anylonger, not detectable and cannot "see" or find any other BT devices.
Is this a software bug? Or simply a hardware error requiring physical repair?

STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH FLASH PLUG-INS & CRASHES

I updated to the new 11.6 Adobe Flash and I am still having issues. I had the same issues, with the previous version of Flash Player. This issue occurs, multiple times daily. When I play a game on Zynga.com or Facebook (Daily), I either receive the message that the "Plug-in is not responding," or it Crashes. This then effects other websites, I have open in other tabs ie; Verizon.net, Adobe, etc. I have posted numerous Bug Reports on Google Chrome and one Bug Report on Adobe, without any results? It is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! It happens multiple times during a game, sometimes the plug-in issue resolves itself (only for a very short time) or it Crashes, or it doesn't do anything and I have to close the tab and re-load (refreshing does not work) or it just Crashes without warning and I usually lose data. I am not the only person, who has this issue RE: Game play on Zynga & Facebook. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

This seems to be an issue with Zynga games and the DEBUG version of Flash Player exclusively. I have always had to use the non-debug version of Flash Player when playing Zynga games. As such, this seems to be a problem on Zynga's end and therefore need to take it up with them.

Still having issues with animate composition showing in chrome

I created a wonderful childrens activity page using animate. For some reason everything shows up in the local preview, but once put onto a live host for public consumption, the animate portion of the paqe does not show up in Chrome. It takes a few seconds in Firefox, IE, and Safari due to 4 Audio files but the composition is displayed once they are done loading. It won't show period in Chrome.
When I first starting having the issue I noticed two 404 errors related to min.map files for jquery and edge. I had a friend tell me that it had something to do with Chrome's unwillingness to work with local jquery hosted libraries. I changed the publish settings so that the runtime files would refer to CDNs. Even with this I'm still having issues.
the 404 still exists for the edge file, but the jquery file is returning a 304 error now. What is the deal with this and why isn't my work being displayed in Chrome? Is this a bug? Or is there some kind of workaround for Chrome's inconcsistancy with this? I really need this page viewable yesterday, so any and all assistance with this will be supererbly appreciated.

Still having issues with searching a folder

I am still having problems with searching a folder which contains a large # of files. I am coming over from using Windows explorer (in XP), and want to be able to do a search narrowed to a specific folder (containing ~ 12000 files).
When I open the folder and do a search, it reverts to searching the entire MAC and all files; each time I have to narrow the search to the folder name and then limit the search again to only the file names (as opposed to searching entire content).
I would also like the search result to display the "date created" instead of date last opened, but haven't been able to adjust preferences at this point with spotlight once I have performed the search (when I initially open the folder, it will display files by date created, but then changes to date last opened after searching). Basically I want to have only specific columns of information appear (date created, etc.) and want complete control over this in the search dialog screen.
Perhaps there is another utility available which performs these specific tasks? Can anyone offer some suggestions?

Well, I am still searching for a solution.
Went into the Apple Store and talked with the Apple genius.
They were unable to configure it, and were rather surprised that this is not an option. Then they investigated further and said it would be an option with Snow Leopard.
In the meantime, I have ordered Extensis Portfolio, which I am told can handle this task.

Still Having issues with importing videos into imovie..

OK, having heard that Apple took care of all the issues in Imove 08, I shelled out the money and I am still having the same **** problems. I now have a canon Vixia avc video camera. If i pull the card out after taking vids, imovie will import them. Now, the problem. For a year, I would just copy the stream folder containing the mts files. Imovie will not import them. I have even tried making the folder structure and then making a .dmg and mounting it. I also tried putting the .mts files onto a card that had the structure. Still no luck. I also used Toast Titanium 10 to convert the files to .movs and .mp4. It still will not import. How in the **** is this software supposed to be this user friendly if you cant even get the videos into it to work on them. hopefully someone has some answers.

I had certain formats not working for me either. I may not be getting the jist of your importing problems but as long as you can get the files onto your computer, I would use the free software "Mpeg Streamclip" to convert everything. Once I used that I had instant success. Also make sure Perian (the free plugin you can get on apple's site) installed.

Still having issues with flash

The swf looks great in preview but when the site is on an actual browser part of the swf is cut off. This has been an ongoing issue in all releases. It has not been fixed with the new luanch. screen shots attached. The heads popping over the fence is the swf. the first shot if preview, the second is browser (Firefox)

Anyone still having issues with connecting to wifi since updating to IOS 6.1.1 (iPhone 4S)?

It worked for about 5 mins every 40 mins up until 12 hours after updating the software. The wifi is greyed out (can't turn on or off) now, and I am becoming rather frustrated with this as I have been without internet for at least a week now, with my work relying heavily upon internet access. Any help would be great, I have done the hard reset, a normal shut-down, and I have restored my iPhone twice now and still no change. ANY help would be fantastic!

I'm having the exact same problem! However, mine hasn't worked at all even after resetting network settings, restoring phone from back up and as a new iPhone, drained the battery and turned the phone on and off. I am really angry because apple released an update yesterday to fix bugs specifically on iPhone 4S and it has done nothing. My idea would be to book an appointment with your local apple store. I have one on Saturday and hopefully they will replace the phone as I am still under warranty. If you're not still under warranty I think it'll cost you some money, which ***** because its apples fault.

On my second Air, still having issues with core shut down, can I return?

I am on my second macbook air 1.6 80 HDD. My first air I had for about 3 weeks. I brought it in to get checked out by a genius because of problems I was having watching video. They said they would replace it just this one time. Now after watching a few videos on my new air I notice that I am having the same problems with choppiness in video playback. I did the SMC reset and that did not help. I realize now that one of the cores is being shut down. I don't know if this a thermal paste issue or not. If this is going to be a problem with all the units would I be able to return my air even though it is past the 14 day period to return? I was actually interested in exchanging it for a new MBP. It a shame that the air is having these problems but I should be able to watch a simple movie downloaded from itunes without skipping. Anyone have a similar situation?

Can Apple Customer Relations, explain the situation and tell them you're not happy. They will work with you if you want to exchange it. They may refund your money. I got them to once.

Ex-customer still having issues with BT's inabilit...

Having tried so many other channels to see if I can get this resolved I thought I might give using this forum a go in case a bit of public shaming motivates BT to actually fix the problem.
I am an ex-BT customer (left them for numerous reasons relating to their products and appalling customer service - but that's another story...) who was previously an ongoing customer for several years at a number of addresses. When we moved into our current house almost four years ago we moved our account with them. However we were still being sent regular letters (look like monthly bills) to the previous owner. For nearly four years I've been trying to get BT to update their customer records to stop them sending us these letters.
I've lost count of the number of phonecalls to rude and unhelpful people in call centres. Letters have been sent to the BT bosses, which managed to get me through to someone in a complaints department (in spite of being told repeatedly by CS that there was no complaints department), and every time I get told that they've definitely updated their records and that we'll get no more mail to the previous owner. However, as you might have guessed, it never seems to help, as the letters just keep on coming.
Given the amount of bad press BT seem to get on this forum alone I'm not sure that one more public compaint will motivate them into actually getting this fixed, but you never know...
