Stl get/find object?

Hello, I am fairly new to LabView and using CAD models, so I'm sorry if my question sounds silly...
I have been given a stl file to create a 3d simulation in LV for a group project and I'd like to ask whether there's a possibility of adding some colour or texture to the stl models in LV so they don't appear gray. I have been looking at multiple online examples using both wrl files and stl files, but I only saw techniques such as finding and getting objects from a 3d scene and colouring them were used for wrl files and not for stl. So I was wondering - are there some other techniques to acquire single objects from stl scene and "paint" them?

That is why I labeled it with Finder Object reference won’t return POSIX path, because I tried what was suggested about using the POSIX path of line. I thought seeing the lines above and around it would help set the context.
So I need those files, but I need them sorted by creation date so that they’re in that order for the next renaming step.

Web Dynpro Java : Failed to get deployable object part info for component

Currently we have a web dynpro java project which connects to the ABAP backend with Web Services. Everything seems fine, and when we transport to the production server via NWDI, we have the following error. Everytime we try to access the application , the error is occurred.

It is working properly in our development , and testing environment. Only production has this error. And one weird thing is that this particular error occurred only sometimes to some user. For example; I could not access to the application with this error yesterday but my friend can access. Today, I can access in the morning but my friend cannot. For another friend , Yesterday he can access by using IE but not by Firefox. But today Firefox is fine but not with IE. It seems crazy.
For more information, in our J2EE engine for the production server, we have 3 server nodes (clusters). And we are not sure it is the source of the problem. Is there any solution , and any way to know from the application that we are on which server?
We also go and check from the Content Administrator in Web Dynpro Console. Under our project name, in the list of Components, sometimes we can see AttachmentComp but sometimes not.
Please help us as our project is about to go-live next week.

Help to get text objects in ABAP

Hi guys!
I've created my first report program and need some help to get text objects into the report. The program combines the tables KNA1, LIKP, LIPS, VBAK, VBAP and VBKD to create a deliverylist which we import as excel info a shipping service. The issue at hand is that our website allows customers to change the ship-to party's address when creating an order. The adress are not updated to KNA1, but are comitted as a text on the ship-to on the delivery itself.
The text I need in the report is RV50A-TXTWE.
Can you help me get going on how to add this from the delivery?

Your problem is that its a structure. Structures are filled in a program and no longer exist after the program is closed. They are temporary data. It will have been moved to tables somewhere most likely. The next step is to debug / trace through the code to find out what was done with it.
What program were you using that created the structure?

How can i get session object based on session id?

I have tried searching in forum but i can't find any solution that i can get session object based on session id and i also would like to know how to check whether the session is still active? My company currently using weblogic 5.1. I really hope that some one or anyone can help. I am new in using Servlet. I hope that i can find some answer here. Thank you.

I have a need to get a Session object from a session id, so I don't think that the above should be deprecated. Here is my use case:
0. I am displaying files in a file list
1. I am downloading files.
2. I am downloading files through a Servlet
3. I am displaying the files as images in an applet
4. The applet is ImageJ, and it apparently uses a full URL to download the file.
5. I use request.getRequestURL() in the applet .jsp to get the full URL (the hostname and port)
6. My app server is OC4J and it's behind an apache server and is host aliased.
7. Thus the hostname is different between my applet .jsp and the Servlet URLs
8. Thus I have 2 different sessions
9. Thus I need to pass the session id (or some other unique identifier).
10. I could stored the unique identifier in the application object, but then I would need to clean it up
11. I cannot pass the the full path to the image due to security problems (what if someone downloads my password file?)
12. I would like this to work in a clustered environment
13. I think that WebDAV would solve my problems, since I could pass a full URL of webDAV to ImageJ for download. However, I am unsure how the security of WebDAV would work with ImageJ/URLConnection. I will have to research this feature in ImageJ.

Find Object.vi function of 3D picture control - when object not found

I am using Labview 8.2, and this post is regarding the 3D Picture Control.
I am wanting to make use of the "Find Object" VI to either return a reference to a named object, or otherwise determine that it does not exist yet. However, if I call it with the name of an object that doesn't exist yet (i.e. just any random string), it returns an error message that arises from the attempt to release a queue (the reference to which gets lost when crossing a zero-iteration For Loop's tunnels), instead of an error message that says "Object not found" which I would find much more useful. With a simple modification of the "Find Object.vi" function, this behaviour can be changed, by replacing the For Loop's tunnels with shift registers.
The problem with the current function is that the error is not an intentionally thrown error, rather just the result of the queue's refnum being set to the default 0 as it "exits" the For Loop, since in the situation that an object is not found, the code passes a 0 to the N terminal.

I agree with you - the current way of handling the case of an object not being found does not appear to be ideal.
This was reported to R&D (# 43D8GSVQ) for further investigation.

Find Objects in the StackFrame via the ID

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a way to find a variable via a valid Object ID. Here is some code of mine in a pseudo manner how I access the variables in the current frame:

Now, if I parse all value objects, I can check for the ID. But how do I get a reference to a object ID which is not in the first hierarchy.
For example, the object A (ID=1234) has object B (ID=2345) as a member. If I'm looking for ID=2345, I don't find the object with the sketched algorithm.
Of course, I can iterate over all objects recursively. But in a big system, this takes forever by doing it manually.
So, is there a builtin method/way to get a object reference or absolute object name ( like ID=6432 yields objA.objB.objC) only by using a known Object ID?

Just out of curiosity, why not use the Pcd repository manager in KM. This allows you to be able to index the entire PCD catalog, and would allow you to use the standard searching capabilities.

Problem finding object for Custom Object Test

I need to create a custom object test that tests whether a an element is present after a record gets inserted into the database. The script is databanked and each iteration needs to insert a databanked record, then evaluate my custom object test to make sure the record was inserted. The trick is in writing the expression that finds the correct custom object. After one iteration, this is the code that finds the custom object;

Instead of always grabbing the object whose text is "Category D", I want to grab the object whose text is <<category>> (ie retrieved from a databank file). Search in the href or index isn't helpful because these will change with each iteration through my script.
I tried to modify the GetElementByPath to this:
RSWApp.om.GetElementByPath "window(index=0).link(text=dbValue|)", element
where dbValue is a local parameter that I set earlier on. When I run this, I get an object not found error.
Any ideas?

I much prefer to use RSWAPP.om.findElement. It is much more robust than FindElements. 
RSWApp.GetDatabankValue Is what is needed anytime you want to return Databank values to the VBA environment 
 
Your code should look something like the following: 
 
Dim dbVal as string
 
RSWApp.GetDataBankValue "MyDbVariable", dbVal 
 
This will return the contents of "MyDbVariable" which is defined and bound in the databank wizard to VBA variable dbVal. 
 
You can then use DBVal in your path:
 
RSWApp.om.GetElementByPath "window(index=0).link(text="" & dbVal & "" | href=""javascript:OpenModal('DocumentCategoryAddEdit.aspx?documentCategoryId=377','400');"" | index=19)", element 
 
If you decide to use Find elements instead of GetElementByPath, the syntax would like the following: 
 
Set element = RSWApp.om.FindElement(dbVal, "A", "InnerText") 
As you can see it is much simpler.

Finding Objects for Authorizations

Dear PM Experts,
When we request the basis guy to restrict Authorizations for users we need to provide the objects for each transaction code with the restricted values. (ex-if I'm allowing only order type PM05 in IW31 T-Code for a particular role I need to specify the particular object from the T-Code IW31 and request to allow only PM05 for the particular role).
But the problem is I'm doing it for the first time and I'm not in a position to identity/find the objects of each T-Code. Can anyone help me out by providing a guidance? is there a particular T-Code to get the object of T-Codes?

Getting an object to kill it self

Hi
This is going to sound a bit nuts, but I need to find a way to get an object to null it self out at a specific point.
Say I have a class (called 'bobs creator) that creates an object called bob, bob runs for a bit and then finally decides life is no longer worth living. He then calls a method in the 'bobs creator� class - this method nulls out the location where bob was created originally.
I have managed to do this successfully, however I get a error in the console telling me of a null pointer exception - understandable as the call to "kill bob" has no where to return.
Any ideas?
PS: Bob is a threaded object, and part of the method that kills him halts his thread - if that makes any difference.

The following shows a way to set the thread name to null, then in the run method check it. It might do what you want.

Getting an Object Identifier String given a line of source code? HELP!

I am in desparate need of getting the object identifier given a particular line of source code. I need this for the debugger I'm writing, and since the jdb forum never gets reponses; just more unanswered questions.
Right so, here's my problem in more detail. I can find out when a method is called in the Java virtual machine, and what its name is, and arguments and values and such like - using the Java Debugging Interface. BUT: unfortunately I cannot get the object identifier used in the source code that generated this call. I can however get a unique long id that identifies this object .. if that helps?(thinking hashtables here maybe?!)
So, I may know that the constructor of EddClass has been called, and this the following line generated this call:
EddClass edd = new EddClass();.. so what I need is a fail safe way of finding out "edd" from this - given all types of method calls.
This is quite tricky because there are loads of ways methods can be called e.g.
tty.getClassExclusions(); // Here I would know getClassExclusions had been called, and I would need to find out the object identifier "tty" called it
Temp a, b, c;
a = b = c = new Temp(); // Here I would know the constructor for Temp had been called, but now I would just want to know "c"
AnotherEg ae = (new Egg()).getAnotherEg(); // and in this last case if I had found out that the Egg constructor had been called, I don't want to find out any object identifier from this line of code - since the object is anonymous; however if I had found out that getAnotherEg() had been called I would want "ae"Ok, well - please help: I'm making a Java Animator that will be freely available - that serves to graphically animate the execution of another java program. this is quite a complicated question I think!
I'm not sure but you maybe need to know just about the whole java lang. spec to do this.
I'm sure there are plenty of free java parsers around, so unless you have a lot of time available its probably best to download one, figure some way to feed it a single line from within a code block, and extract its symbol table.
Once you have the symbol table, there will probably be some other data available from the parser to say which are identifiers.
Its then up to your debugger to figure out which one is the interesting one!

Debugger error msg , now the objects of the file is deftly there compiled in debug mode
how can I point sun studio to the corresponding objects?

There are some other commands that can help you figure
out what's going wrong.
The modules command is good. (Type 'help modules' for more inof)
The 'module' command is also good (Type 'help module')

show you the object files that dbx thinks have debug info in them.
module -v <object file> will tell you some info about that object file.

Client Install Fails - Unable to get Win32_OperatingSystem object

I have a PC that won't install the SCCM client via Client Push. In the CCM.Log file on the site server, it connects to the IPC$ and admin$ shares using my client installation account, but then it comes back with this error:
---> Unable to get Win32_OperatingSystem object from WMI on remote machine "PCNAME", error = 0x80080005.
I know that error means that access was denied to WMI, and I verified that when I run wbemtest manually (using the same client installation account), I can connect to the root\cimv2 object on that PC but when I try to enumerate the instances of the Win32_OperatingSystem object, I get the same error.
I also tried using Computer Management applet (remotely - I have no local access to this PC) to look at the WMI Control properties. Again, I get the same access denied error so I can't check/change the security permissions that way.
I have verified that my client installation account is in the local Administrators group of the PC. I've already tried rebuilding the WMI repository - that worked but it didn't fix the access issue. I know I can install the client manually but I'm guessing I'd still have a problem with inventories, etc. that are dependent on access to that WMI object. Any suggestions about how to go about fixing the WMI access issue?

Finally getting back to this issue after vacaton... sigh.
I got a little further. I took client push out of the mix and ran ccmsetup.exe locally on the PC. This time the client installation ran. However, I'm still getting a similar error from the client itself and the client is not talking to the site. After the client was installed, only about 10 of the log files showed up in system32\ccm\logs.
ccmexec.log shows this error:
Endpoint'PolicyAgent_PolicyEvaluator' return 0x80070057 from event notification
PolicyAgentProvider.log has these lines repeating:
Failed to create actual config class for 'CCM_RootCACertificates'
Failed to update namespace 'Machine' (80041002)

PolicyEvaluator.log has this error:

SrcUpdateManager has these errors:
Instance of CCM_SourceUpdateClientConfig doesn't exist in WMI
Failed to get instance of CCM_SourceUpdateHistory, error 80041002
ClientIDManagerStartup.log has these errors:
GetSystemEnclosureInfo failed (0x80080005)
ComputeHardwareID failed (0x80080005).
RegTask: Failed to create registration request body. Error: 0x80080005
The rest of the logs that exist (LocationServices, StatusAgent, ClientLocation, RemCtrl, and setuppolicyevaluator) appear to be OK.
These seem to all be WMI-related errors/issues, but I can't find any specific information on any SCCM/SMS websites/forums that address these particular errors in these particular log files. I've tried rebuilding the repository (several times), I've done the regsvr stuff as discussed above, etc.
I ran WMIDIAG next. It ran for a little less than two hours - not sure if that's normal or not, but the log file continued to update the entire time. Now I have this log file and I'm not sure what to do with the issues I found. I'm looking at the WMI REPORT: BEGIN section... I see instructions that make sense for most of the errors. However, the section of log file below shows the area that is most likely causing issues for SCCM because it is the same error I get on the client install. I have no idea how to fix this stuff - any help would be appreciated:

Get the objects for getDeclaredFields

Hi,
Can I get the objects of the Fields in my class.
I want to go through my Fields and find the ones with a certain suffix in there name. This I have done with getDeclaredFields. But know I want to get and set the data for the corresponding objects.

I am using following code from my custom client.

This is news to me, interesting!
I've always used the meta data labels and never had a problem and the result set you get returned will have the meta data names too.
As for the code it should work but are you sure you're getting something back from the findObjects()? You understand that the OIM API employs the same security model as everything else, so if you're not allowed to see the object, then it will not get returned. Try the query with the sys admin account and make sure that there's a check that the result set isn't empty.
