Stop HTML reload

Hi all,
I'm looking for a solution, trying to freeze a HTML article.
Actually, I've an article with HTML content, including a form with Javascript interaction.
Problem is, if the user swipe to another page, or if the tablet go to standby, the next view of the article reset all the content on the form.
I can't find a way in InDesign to tell the content to not reload the content each time the article is viewed.
Is there is a way to fix that ? Maybe a HTML solutions ?
Thanks in advance for all your ideas.
Kind Regards
Benoit.

you could also try using the proper bgcolor parameters in your embed code and setting the color to black. this will most likely get rid of the white flash.
here is some old sample code:
<OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
     codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0"
     WIDTH="320"
     HEIGHT="240"
     id="slideshow">
<PARAM NAME="movie" VALUE="slideshow.swf" />
<PARAM NAME="quality" VALUE="high" />
<PARAM NAME="bgcolor" VALUE="#000000" />
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<EMBED src="slideshow.swf"
     quality="high"
     bgcolor="#000000"
     WIDTH="320"
     HEIGHT="240"
     NAME="slideshow"
     allowScriptAccess="sameDomain"
     swLiveConnect="true"
     TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash"
     PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
</EMBED>
</OBJECT>
i would recommend: using swfObject instead and also putting all your buttons in one swf.

  • Stop or Reload a call to a JSP--what happens to a EJB running in the JSP?

    I am calling repeatedly calling a method of an EJB bean from within a
              while-loop in a JSP. The EJB is handling some database processing.
              Unfortunately, the EJB's processing can take a lot of time within each
              iteration of the while-loop, which prompts some users to hit "Stop" or
              "Reload" from their browser.
              Therefore, the while-loop gets broken.
              My question is: what happens to the thread of execution within the EJB?
              Will an EJB that is called from a JSP continue to completion even if a user
              hits "Stop" or "Reload?"
              Any feedback will be appreciated. It appears to me that the EJB does not
              continue to completion.

    What do you mean that the while loop gets broken? Stop just closes the
              socket from the client end, it does not affect threads that are processing
              on the server unless they explicitly check the state of the socket.
              Similarly, the EJB would not stop processing.

  • How to add table attributes to start stop html table item

    Hello,
    I want to put a frame around a number of items between a start/stop html table item. How can I do that?
    Can I add border= "1" somewhere?
    Thanks for the help

    Hello,
    You would do something like this
    <style>
    .formlayout{border:1px solid red}
    </style>
    But how can I put it on and off then? You could use some javascript to do it or use the region id and then get the second table in the region body with that class name, there are a couple different ways to do it but none are simple and out of the box.
    If you can out an example page on apex.oracle.com it will be much easier to help you out with the exact code.
    It will be much simpler to do in 3.1 which is why that enhancment was put in.

  • Stop and reload buttons

    When are we going to get stop and reload buttons in Safari?

    Hi,
    The reload / refresh button is in the Safari address bar already on the right.
    I see that going back as far as Safari 4.1.3 that is.

  • Videos stall when loading from youtube, facebook. Must stop and reload.

    Videos stall after only a few seconds from FaceBook and YouTube. Must stop and reload.

    Try a restart.
    Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
    Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
    Isolating an issue by using another user account
    If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

  • How can I stop Safari reloading web pages every time?

    When I am using Safari on my iPad I frequently want to jump between web pages or between the internet and other applications.  This is simple on my laptop as once I have loaded a page it does not require reloading until I ask it to, but on my iPad I find it next to impossible as each page gets reloaded when you move back to it.  We have a slow internet connection and that coupled with the latest version of iOS working slowly on my iPad makes it very frustrating.
    Is there anyway I can stop Safari from doing this?
    I am using an iPad 2 with the latest version of iOS

    I wish it was that simple, but I'm afraid it's not.  Turning off Background App Refresh doesn't affect page reloading.  Supposedly the reloads are due to limited memory forcing Safari to keep no more than a very few (3 to 5, depending on device) pages in memory; pages therefore routinely get deleted from memory, thus forcing reloads.  I haven't tried it yet, but reportedly the iCab browser ($1.99) retains its tabs / web pages and will display them without reloads.  As will a couple of other browsers, just not Safari.  More info here http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/56164/can-you-prevent-the-iphone-browse r-from-reloading-pages

  • Since updating to 8.0.1 I find I have to stop and reload pages in order for them to load.

    Every time I go to a site I end up having to stop loading and then reload a page before it will come up. I have waited as long as 2 minutes to see if the pages will come up. It especially happens when clicking on a link. The link can be from google or a web page. I did not have this problem before updating to 8.0.1

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

    A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Page won't load on first try -- but stop then reload works

    Several pages, most notably my.yahoo.com and worldofwar.net won't load on the first attempt. Eventually I get a timeout error. But while the load is trying, if I stop loading manually, then reload, the page finishes loading. It's then fine, until the next wake up after sleep, and it starts all over again.
    I'm also noticing something similar with mail. When I send mail, it goes into the outgoing folder and I get an error that the message couldn't be sent. But if I exit mail and restart it, the pending message is sent without my having to do anything other than restart mail.
    Any clues what to look for? This only began to happen after I moved. The only difference in my configuration is that I'm using a new DSL modem and dynamic IP address from my ISP now, where I was using a static address before with an older model modem.
    I've checked the console logs, before/during/after observing the problem, and no new entries are made.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

  • I have no tab stop or reload button. It is not listed in the customise toolbar or on toolbar. I have firefox 20.

    I have looked on the internet for a solution but cannot find one. Does firefox 20 have a stop reload button?

    Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
    *Firefox menu button > Options
    *View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
    *right-click empty toolbar area
    *if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
    *if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up
    You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file if "Restore Default Set" didn't help.

    I just want the html file to play in the position it is in before you engage it.  Similar to how Keynote files react.

  • The load icon goes round and round but unless I click stop then reload the page won't open Whats up with that?

    Pages will not load quickly unless I click the X to stop then click the refresh icon and the page starts to open but will not completely open unless I do the same thing again click X then click refresh then it works fine. Until of coarse I click a link and I have to repeat the above process over and over again.

  • Stop Firefox reloading webpages when hitting back button

    Is there any way to make hitting the back button not reload pages? It's become a bit of annoyance to me within the past few days because it sorta messed with my flow.
    For example, let's say I'm looking at a phpBB forum. There's a unread posts button next to each topic. I click on the one next to a topic, this topic has 3 pages. The last post I read was halfway down the first page, it takes me to it (and adds "&view=unread#unread" to the URL). I finish reading the page, and move on to page 2. Partway down page two, I decide to go back to page 1 to re-read something that got quoted, and click the back button. But because of what seems like a recent change, Firefox attempts to reload the page instead of its old functionality... and thanks to the unread bit at the end of the URL, phpBB serves up page *3*. Now instead of going back, I've gone forward.

    This is irritating. This should not be necessary. In every previous version, clicking the back arrow re-displays the page from cache; clicking the reload button reloads the page.
    The back button has essentially become a reload button. It's just wrong. and it fouls up my work-flow. Also,
    browser.cache.check_doc_frequency user set integer 2
    did nothing to alleviate the issue.
