Stop music shuffling doesn't work

Hello,
Every day I put my iPhone on the charger and I play soothing songs by my bed. Than in the morning I pick up my phone and I don't use iTunes or listen to music at all. In the evening, I come home and I put my phone on the charger stand again and it plays different albums and different songs. I make sure that phone doesn't say shuffle. How ever it keeps doing the same thing. When I had ios6 it was perfect. It continued playing from where it left off the day before. Is anyone having problems with this too? This is my one of many problems I have with ios7. Please help.
Thank you

Hi Starlove,
Have you tried starting the music back up using the Control Panel?

    My Music adding doesn't work?
    I try to add music from my usb but it doesn't work.
    I have 2Gen Ipod TOUCH 4.2.1 i think.

    Roger, FYI, the very first time I laid a music bed in it worked like a charm. I selected the music track, chose audio on the clip edit menu, and then I raised the other tracks to 100% (which is my main video) and lowered the audio for the music track to 12% and it worked perfectly. My audio was indeed under the main video, just the way I wanted it.
    Righ now I have gone to my original track in Garage Band, and lowered the entire thing significantly and will try using that. I'll get there. But great suggestion on Garage Band---I've never used it but figured it out pretty quickly.

  • I just downloaded ios 7 and when I'm recording video the camera screen goes black and doesn't record anything. Also in control centre music control doesn't work sometimes. It's been three days.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • To stop a thread doesn't work sometimes

    in my programm i have a thread, wenn i want interrupt the running thread i wrote this code: myThread.stop(), it works indeed, but not everytime. i cannot understand why it doesn't work, can somebody tell me why and how to handle it?
    I thank you in advance.

    if (a_Condition_you_have_set) myThread stop();
    is depricated, though it should still work and if I remember rightly it could cause the thread to keep running (or not stop properly) - so causing memory problems.
    You have to use boolean values eg;-
    public void start() {  // the thread
    conditions;
    run();
    public void run() {
    conditions(false or true);
    public void stop() {
    conditions(false or true);
    - its a standard method, perhaps someone could provide a link, though if you do a search for thread + whatever, you should find it easily enough.

  • Album shuffle doesn't work

    For some reason, selecting shuffle by album doesn't work for me. In fact, all of the three shuffle by options seem have the same effect; shuffling by song.
    whats going on? shuffle worked fine in 4.9. what did apple do to mess up a perfectly working shuffle feature? Am I missing something, or are other people having this problem?
    On a similar note, I'd like to be able to select what type of shuffle I want by playlist, so I don't need to go into preferences to switch that when I change playlists.

    Album shuffle is currently only working if you have the smart shuffle slider exactly in the middle (ie, "random"). If you move the smart shuffle slider in either direction it causes album shuffle to instead become "song shuffle".
    So, place the slider back in the middle and it should work just like it did in 4.9.

  • ITunes keeps freezing no matter what I try. No that it controls all my music, and doesn't work, what am I supposed to do?

    It seems that iTunes doesn't want to work. I've reinstalled, ugraded and restarted my computer. But nothing seems to work iTunes keeps freezing. Now it's just a useless app on my computer. It controls all the music and it's taken many hours to be bothered to use it, now that I depend on it it doesn't work. Is there another more reliable program that organizes and transfers music to iPods? Or am I just stuck with the music thats on my iTunes?
    I'm not really impressed and that my family has many apple products that are mainly run by this one piece of software is mind bogglling.
    Are there older versions of iTunes to use? because before this last update I had no issues.

    If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • "Fit slideshow to music" feature doesn't work

    I've selected "Fit sideshow to music" on a slideshow I've made. Using a song imported from my iTunes library. Ken Burns effect is switched on.
    But the feature doesn't work. The song ends but there are still more slides to show.
    Isn't the idea that the computer will speed up the pix so they end just as the music ends?
    Anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks.

  • HELP! Large portion of my music library doesn't work!

    I recently got a new MacBook, so I moved the location of the music library. Now, tons of music doesn't work. The mp3 files exist but don't show up in iTunes and can't be opened by iTunes or Quicktime, or any other program I've tried. In the finder, my itunes library folder is 12.78 gb larger than what shows up in iTunes. Therefore, 12.78 gb of my music is not working!! Please help me!
    Thank you

    Go to your Home\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music folder. Click it once. Click File and choose Get Info (or ⌘-I). Go to Ownership & Permissions, and click Details.
    Make sure YOU are the owner and can read & write in EVERY category, and Apply to the entire contents fo the folder. (This may take a while) then try to re-add the missing files. One in a while I'll download something from an MP3 "buysite" and it will be "locked up" until I modify the permissions, allowing me to access my purchased songs.

  • Music(radio) doesn't work

    after upgrade to iOS7 i enjoyed music itune radio by just click music icon and chose my favorite station, it doesn't work anymore.. it said it doesn't have content purchase music from itune.. it supposed to be free..what is wrong,, anyone has the same problem?

    For anyone following, I looked further into the tape cassette adapter and it seems to get the best reviews vs. FM transmitter.  Guess there is a good reason that I have the last year model with a tape cassette.  Worth mentioning is the Maxell one gets a better review than the Monter one.  Not sure why, but it's cheaper. Anyone else find a good quality tape cassette adapter?

  • Music album doesn't work on iPhone 4

    I have an iPhone 4 and about a month ago I bought lil Wayne's new album on iTunes. Recently, I went to listen to the album and it doesn't work, it says the song is playing but no sound comes out.

    I fixed my powerbutton easily with some
    water repellent oil. I dont know what its called, it is that thing you use for locks and hinges anyway. My iphone powerbutton has been working for like 7 months now. There is no difference from when it was new! I can really recomend this. Just remember to turn of the phone and have it upside down when you spray. And dont use to much! Theres no need for more than a few drops.

  • IOS 6.0 music shuffle does NOT work

    The music player does not remember where the last session ended.  I have about 1000 songs on my iPhone.  I play the songs in the Shuffle mode - and it worked fine on iOS 5.x.  Ever since I updated to iOS 6.0, the shuffle seems to be seriously broken.  It repeats the song sequence of previous session in the exact order instead of starting from where the session ended.  God forbid if your last session was 10-25 songs long - you'll have to hit the Next song so many times to listen to something that you have not heard for a while.
    I went to the Genius Bar with this issue - and they gave me a wishy-washy answer of rebooting the phone.
    The following link shows more people experiencing the issue.  I wonder if this has been addressed in the new iOS 6.1

  • Party shuffle and general shuffle doesn't work

    I don't quite understand. I select a playlist to shuffle within party shuffle to listen to while I program software at work. Often, I will hear the same song over again within an hour. This playlist has 659 songs with an average length of about 4-5 minutes. I've messed with the "Smart Shuffle" settings after Steve Jobs reassured consumers that iTunes is random but still no luck. I can't imagine how I hear the same song within an hour when there is over 48 hours of potentially non-repeating music. Has anyone had luck with getting true randomness from iTunes?
    Thanks!

    Jeremy--
    What you're seeing is random behavior. In truth, you should sometimes even hear the same song back to back, if iTunes is truly mathematically random. To get the behavior you are looking for, you need to actually make it less random.
    The easiest way to do what you want is to make a Smart playlist. Set it so that its rule is "Last Played is not in the last 30 days" (or whatever time period you like). Make sure "Live Updating" is checked.
    Now, use that playlist as the source for your party shuffle. Once a song is played, it won't play again for 30 days.

  • IPod Shuffle doesn't work outdoors

    I bought my shuffle about 4 months ago, ever since the weather got cold (like anywhere below 5 degrees C), the player has gotten very flakey - it stops playing, somtimes with a pop, sometimes with a very LOUD screeching noise.
    Indoors it works 100% fine.
    I tried something the other day (it was about 5 degrees): I was out walking and my player stopped. I found that if I held it in my hand, it played fine. As soon as I put it in my pocket, or around my neck, or if I held it loosely in my hand, it stopped playing within seconds.
    I'm trying to figure out if this is a defective product of if this is just iPod shuffles are. Anyone?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I too have this trouble. I noticed my 1GB shuffle acting flaky in the car and it didn't last 3 minutes when I went jogging tonight (-7 °C, °19 F). It would just stop of skip around.
    The strange part is that in the car it was probably about 10-15 °C (50-60 °F) and the shuffle still was not playing consistently. I thought the thing was broken but when I tested it indoors it played just fine!
    So, I conclude that Apple's temperature ratings are just wrong. Mine won't work if it's less than 10 °C (50 °F) or so.
    Next time I jog I'll have to put the iPod on my inside layer of clothes... hopefully I won't sweat on it too much!

  • TS1369 My 6th Generation IPod Shuffle doesn't work at all

    I've had this IPod for 3 years now. I noticed it wasn't charging when I tried to charge it on my IHome and on my computer. Before this happened, a bug somehow was crawling amongst my IHome and I accidently put my IPod on it. I doubt this caused the problem, but i think it's worth mentioning. I tried connecting it to the computer using the 3 IPod USB connectors my family has, in all the ports. the screen doesn't light up at all. My IPod Touch works with this computer, but not my Shuffle. Is there anything I could do? My warranty is out, obviously.
