danny
sorry my initial post was poorly written
i have done the graphical layout for the website in photoshop
imported the files to the stage
converted to flash files labbelled the files so they can be controlled by action script
made all the files movie files except
1 static file with the menue items in it
dragged out all the movie clip files to create a time line of events
created an actions/labels layer and on this layer i labelled all the events in the time line
in actions labels layer in the first frame i typed in the action script panel on the first line
stop();
i believe this is suppose to stop the flash file from constantly playing the timeline
but it does not seem to work
and
error message appears in the window(as in the first post)
ive tried to explain but im still learning the lingo i hope this helps and i hope someone can help me

Googling your problem doesn't seem very hard.

I just bought a 'like new" Zen MX from amazon.com and today was the first day I've used it; every four or fi've songs it will skip/stop for a split second every couple seconds and then play like normal. My question to anyone who can answer this is: does this mean it's gonna die on me pretty soon or is this just an annoying but normal bug? Because I am obviously not covered by Creative Labs since I bought this from an amazon merchant so if this mp3 player is going to die in three months I really doubt that I could get my money back from the merchant after that long. Any help would be appreciated!
Hi,
You might want to perform a Clean Up, Reboot to see if it resolves the Skip/Stop problem.
To enter recovery mode:
<li style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Turn off your player.<
<li style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Press and hold the power button to turn on the player.<
<li style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">When the Creative logo appears , press and hold the back button until the Recovery Mode screen appears. Three menu items are shown:<strong style="font-style: normal; font-weight: bold;">Clean Up[/b], <strong style="font-style: normal; font-weight: bold;">Format All[/b], and <strong style="font-style: normal; font-weight: bold;">Reboot[/b].<

MIDI Stopping problem in LE 7.01
Hello,
I have two LE setups, one on an iMac G5 and one on a PowerMac G5, both using M-Audio 2x2 interfaces. Both systems experience a problem in Logic where the MIDI output ceases after 5-15 minutes of continuous playback. The problem is resolved by stopping playback and then starting again. I don't need to quit or turn off any hardware. Our problem is that we are using these systems for research purposes, and having MIDI cutout on us invalidates a given testing session. We would like to be able to solve this and continue using LE, but are considering switching sequencers unless we can resolve this. Any ideas?
Thanks,

[email protected]Are you using MIDI to trigger internal software instruments on your Macs, or external hardware sound generators? Have you tried saving the file as a Standard Midi File in Logic Express, then using something like Quicktime Player to play it with simple internal sounds? You may also have extraneous Midi controller messages that could cause the problem. Open the file in Logic Express, open the Event Editor, and try the various filters to find anything bizarre other than notes in your file.
Then too, it could just be something about your M-Audio interfaces. I have an old MOTU Timepiece interface and have played continuous looped sequences for hours in Logic Express without problems.
Let us know if you find the problem! -
Iphoto '11 book upload stops problem
I had the frustrating problem of iphoto '11 stopping during uploading of photo books and found a simple solution. I left the process running overnight or during mornings and for 5 to 6 consecutive the process stopped midway and I found an error message. Tried restarting the whole thing, rebooting, turning off everything else that was running, etc. Same result.
I tried this and it has worked so far for 3 books in a row in the first try: I went into the System Preferences and extended the computer sleep time to "Never" and left the process running.
iphoto '11 version 9.1.3 / Mac OS X 10.6.7 / MacBook ProA more detailed explanation which confirms the same problem and fix can be found here:
http://iphoto11.wordpress.com/
I hope Apple is working on a fix since I expect they follow this forum. In the mean time it is nice to know we can utilize the expertise of users who frequent this forum. -
Non stop problems since update
Ok, so I updated to 10.4.8 and am now on 10.4.9 as of yesterday. Anyway, upon updating to 8 and deleting my windows partition with bootcamp, I have been having more issues than ever befor.
First my internet started disconnecting constantly which seems to be ok now, but Ichat constantly stops working.
Then my macbook started running a lot hotter.
Upon working on a project in photoshop (I was saving 150mb images, a lot of them) my computer got unbelievably hot. Now the bottom is kinda warped, the left corner is lifting, just to the right of the screen opening button the case is lifting, above the card slot is slightly buldging out, and now if i pick up my laptop by the left side where the speaker is, the screen shorts out and will only come on by restarting.
Then the battery is doing this strange thing where it will say it is at 4700 for full charge capacity, then 15 minutes it will say 3200, and will go back in forth between them. Then when it gets down to 0% it will run another 20 - 40 minutes. I have recent the PRAM and done all the suggested resets and what not.
Seriously, this is rediculous. It's about 9 months old and is the intel core duo 2.0 ghz 15 inch.
Any ideas of what mac will say about this if I bring it in. I'm a student and can't really afford to be having so many problems with this.Contact Apple re your battery. No, you don't have to pay for replacement. Apple up'd the warranty time for the batteries to 2 years. They are replacing them at no cost to you.
The currently applicable page from Apple now is:
http://www.apple.com/support/macbook_macbookpro/batteryupdate/
Read the complete article but here is an excerpt:
This battery update should be run on all MacBook and MacBook Pro computers and extra batteries that were purchased between February 2006 and April 2007.
If, after you have installed the battery update, your battery has any of the symptoms listed below, please make a reservation to bring your computer with its battery to your local Apple Retail Store, or contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP), or call your local Apple Support Contact Center. If Apple or an AASP determines that your battery is eligible for replacement, you will receive a new battery, free of charge, even if your MacBook or MacBook Pro is out of warranty.
For MacBook and MacBook Pro systems with Intel Core Duo processors, this program extends repair coverage on the battery for up to two years from the date of purchase of the computer. -
Javalayer 1.0 stop problem
hi everyone ,
im new to this forum and having problem related to playing mp3 files in my code.
i am using javazoom's jlayer lib. it all goes well except once the playing starts it does not stops.
i am placing my code here to suggest any changes or errors.
thankx in advance.
import java.io.BufferedInputStream;
import java.io.FileInputStream;
import javazoom.jl.player.Player;
public class MP3 {
static private String filename;
static private Player player;
public MP3(String filename1) {
MP3.filename = filename1;
public void close() { player.close(); }
public void play() {
try {
FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(filename);
BufferedInputStream bis = new BufferedInputStream(fis);
player = new Player(bis);
catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println("Problem playing file " + filename);
System.out.println(e);
// run in new thread to play in background
new Thread() {
public void run() {
try { player.play(); }
catch (Exception e) { System.out.println(e); }
}.start();
// test client
public static void main(String[] args) {
String filename = "GABRU.mp3";//name of file in C-Dir.
MP3 mp3 = new MP3(filename);
mp3.play();
mp3.close();
}OK, I got it solved and tracked!
Solution: Reinstall the iPOD from scratch, using the 5 "R" process described on this supportsite. After this clean install, than the iPOD worked again, as it should. It continued to work after adding all my previous data. Do, happy sailing again.
Reason for failure: My iPOD contained +50G of files, mixed, mp3, video and jpegs. Every time I upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 with data on the iPOD, the upgrade process fails, leading to the error I experienced. There is something incomplete in the upgrade process, going from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3. -
Hi Support,
I am trying to use FMLE to encode and stream video from an Axis P1346 IP camera, via Axis' Streaming Assistant software, to a Wowza server.
Everyting appears to be working perfectly and the encoding and resultant stream quality is excellent. Sometimes after a few hours and sometimes after just a few minutes, the encoding will stop with the following error:
Tue Mar 26 2013 11:47:18 : Session Stopped
Tue Mar 26 2013 11:47:18 : Problem with capture device. Incorrect samples given by the device. Stopping encoding session.
I have attached a recent log of a session that only lasted a few minutes - do you have any ideas on how to resolve this instability?

Can't delete/stop problem execution??
All, I have a job (RMANScript) to backup my database that is being reported as a "Problem" execution. When I click to view the details, it shows the Initialize piece worked, but the actual script running for 5 days now. I've tried to suspend the run and I get a success on the suspend, but it still shows a status of 'Running'. How can I get this ONE execution (recurring job) deleted from the repository without having to delete/recreate the whole job?

Cache or start/stop problem
Here is my story...it's sad but true....about an applet, i once drew:
I go to my webpage...run my applet. Everything nice and neat. I decide to browse the internet (surf the web) but get bored. I come back to my applet and poof! Whole thing has gone to crap. Let me explain:
I have a tool bar with buttons (zoom in, zoom out, selection, the usual stuff). I use this tool to zoom in, out, etc on a big image...kinda like a map. Unfortunately, after revisiting my web-page the buttons seem to make my image disappear and only 1/2 of them work. But everything will be fine again if I restart the browser.
Now it takes a good 45 sec - 1 minute for this applet to load (its pretty extensive), but only 15 sec to load when I "revisit" it. This leads me to believe it may be a cache problem. But I could not have stopped/started it correctly and it is still running in the background as I browse the web.
Please Help!!!...please :)I'm thinking the problem is with the stop & destroy command. From what I know, these are called by the browser. Is there any special code to be put in them.
I have this in the stop:
public void stop()
System.gc();
System.out.println("DApplet: stoped");
public void destroy(){}
I threw in garbage collection in stop and left destroy alone. I thought these where automatically called by the browser and nothing had to be added to them...but I could (am most likely am) be wrong. Maybe this is why it won't work, it is not completely destroyed?
Please help! -
NetStream.Play.Stop : Problem:
Hi,
I have develop video streaming application with Flash Media server 3.5 + and Use Dynamic stream feature , this player work correct in all way but issue with NetStream.Play.Stop() command set while playing video without EOF
i.e video file .f4v format has 30 sec lenght ,
-player face NetStream.play.stop() command @ 2.30 without indicate any stop command ,its automatically halt but last 0.30 is remaning.
Any idea regarding this dobet please help me ..
Thanks ,
aQuestion 1: When I put the .FLV files to play in the
"\streams\_definst_" of
the application directory of the Flash Media Server
installation, does that
automatically turn it into streaming FLV and no longer
progressive FLV?
The distinction between progressive and streaming is the
NetConnection.connect
Question 2: What's the best way to detect or to signal my app
that the
streaming FLV has completed playing?
Not sure what the best way is. But I subclass the NetStream
class similarily
to how it is presented in the Flash Communications Server
book example 5-5.
http://www.flash-communications.net/sourceCode/index.html
It uses a combination of NetStream.Play.Stop and bufferLength
== 0 as one
signal to toggle a stopped state flag and
NetStream.Buffer.Empty and that
stopped flag as another signal. The stopped flag is turned
off on the next
NetStream.Play.Start.

Hi. I built a dynamic FLV player using XML playlists but
using progressive
downloads.
I've been trying to migrate it to a Flash Media Server 2.01
solution, but
after I did,
"NetStream.Play.Stop" no longer seems to be happening
properly.
Question 1: When I put the .FLV files to play in the
"\streams\_definst_"

automatically turn it into streaming FLV and no longer
progressive FLV?
Question 2: What's the best way to detect or to signal my
app that the
streaming FLV has completed playing?
Also, "NetStream.Play.Complete" never seems to occur, even
if the stream
has
completed playing.

about ? What is the server state when you issue the command ? Is the server
very busy. Are you able to get the server state from the nodemanager when
the server is running ? Are you able to communicate from admin server ->
nodemanager <-> managed server ?
cheers,
gaurav.

I get this error often when I try to stop a managed server via thenodemanager
from the admin console or from the weblogic.Admin command. The server doesnot
stop and it goes into an unknown state and I have to do a force shutdown

Often while trying to stop our weblogic managed servers we see that the server
does not stop properly it gives a Node manager error Unable to send command to
server and the server hangs, then the only way to stop the server is to use the
force shutdown option.
Sometimes the server stops fine.
Why does this happen and how can we prevent it. Starts works fine.

Numbers "budget" Planned expenses stop problems (sumif)
Hiyas
I use the Number Budget spreadsheet to keep track of month to month money out going and incomings. It work great when using my iPad, uploading to iWork then download from there to my iMac.
But now with iCloud the Planned Expense Part show up empty when viewed on my iMac, yet if I load it on the iPad It works fine and can see the money in the row.
Anyone know if this is a bug?
Thanks for any info
Paul (Numbers newbie)Paul,
It's tough to say where you should ask this question. It's a Numbers problem, but seems only to arise in conjunction with iOS sync. Most of us in the Mac version discussion area have no access to the iOS side, so I'd suggest that you also ask in the iOS forum.
