Stopping DB adapter From Retrying.

We want to stop the DB adapter from retrying when a fault occurs during the db call.
For that we have set following properties to ZERO

and tried to deploy the composite but it throwing error such that
Exception occured when binding was invoked.
Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "Cannot parse JCA binding retry property 'jca.retry.count', value '0' due to: Value of JCA binding retry property 'jca.retry.count' must be a positive number".
The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.
Can anyone suggest the possible solution to stop the retry in DB adapter.

I have a situation where there a number of source files[100+] to be picked from a source directory. The files are then processed by an adapter module before they are sent to the IE. Now, in the lot to be picked up there are files which do not conform to the input file structure validations in the module and consequently these would not[and should not] be picked. These files could occur anywhere in the input set and presently the adapter is re-trying the processing of these error files, with the result that the subsequent files are not processed.
Is there a method to ensure that the entire input file set is processed regardless of the adapter encountering error files in between?

In your sender communcation channel, you must activate "Archive faulty source files" flag and indicate a directory for archiving files with errors.

How do I stop my photos from disappearing?

LG G3 - I took many photos over the weekend. While I was looking at the gallery Sunday night, the gallery images started suddenly showing with gray bars on photos, then suddenly turning into a question mark icon like the phone had no idea what the file was.
the phone has always worked fine, and I have never had any problems before. I have not installed any new updates or apps recently. I have no third party photo manager - just use the gallery and associated apps that came with the phone. I do not use Google+.
Every time I look at the phone, more of my photos are replaced with the ? icon. If I take a new photo, I can look at the photo within the camera and see it fine. I can open the gallery and see the photo fine. Then suddenly, the gray bar will appear on the image and it will change to the ? icon.
I have done the following troubleshooting:
1. rebooted my phone.
2. Shutdown the phone, and let it sit off for 2 minutes, then restarted the phone.
3. Shutdown the phone, took out the battery, and let it sit for 2 minutes, then restarted the phone.
4. unmounted the SD card, shutdown the phone, took out the SD card. replaced the SD card and restarted the phone.
5. verified that the camera is storing photos to the SD card
6. Changed the camera storage to memory, and back to SD card.
Any suggestions on how to stop my phone from being confused and realize that the files it seems to not understand are actually the photos I took with the camera on the device, and that it really did understand all of the photos at one time?
I do not have the ability to plug my microSD card into my PC. My PC does not have a micro slot and I do not currently have the ability to go buy an adapter
If your advice is anything like "should have backed up the phone" your condescending input is not needed. This is not a backup issue, this is an issue with the phone forgetting what photos are.

Why has my iPad1 stopped loading photos from my camera? I have >40G of free space. It worked fine the first 3 times and then stopped. I also tried the SD card adapter and it doesn't recognize it either.

How to Debug Idoc Adapter from XI to R/3

Hi,
Can any one please help in debugging the Idoc adapter from XI to R/3.
Here is the my problem - XI to R/3 idocs have been created correctly but the service relation ship is created incorrectly.
i.e. When XI creates inbound idoc into R/3, it is also linking some other non relevant idoc which is created 2 years back as a outbound idoc reference to that original idoc.
And this outbound idoc is coming to XI and the same can be seen in IDX5(Table - IDXRCVPOR) for that message.
I tried to see various parameters on idoc_inbound_asynchronus FM and when I execute this FM in R/3, idocs are being created correctly and service relation ship is also correct.
I tried to debug the RFC by using dialog user in the idoc adapter - IDX_OUTBOUND_XMB. For this we forced to fail the message at the adapter level and then manually restarted in SXI_MONI so that it will stop in debug mode in IDX_OUTBOUND_XMB.. But it didn't.
Can any one help on this ?

If my understanding is correct, your inbound function module processing the IDoc is triggering another IDoc to be sent back to PI? If so, then have you checked the distribution model? If you want to supress it you can try removing it as the outbound Idoc for the logical system in we20 (Partner Profiles)?

if your Mac monitor has Thunderbolt ports, and the PC monitor is on the end of the daisy chain, then you might be able to do it by connecting your PC monitor’s VGA cable to a Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter (e.g. Apple, NewerTech), connecting that cable’s Mini DisplayPort end to one of the Mac monitor’s Thunderbolt ports, and then connecting a Thunderbolt cable between the other port on the Mac monitor and your MacBook Pro.

Stop the report from firing until the user clicks the Go button?

Is there a way to stop the report from firing until the user clicks the Go button? At the moment it is populating when I open the dashboard page. I found something online that said i could use the Page Options>Save Current Settings> For Others.. but even though i am signed in as an administrator i only see a For Me.. option. Also, even after setting this option i would like to be able to hit the 'Go' button to run the report and have it uncollapse the section. Is this possible?

In my report i am trying to constrain the report to todays data only. However the only prompt i have is for another column. If i place a filter on the date column with Year=0000 it will not change with the prompt selection and so will never return any results. Is there any other way?
It seems wasteful to fire a request to the database onload of the page. Is there an option to only fire a request what the prompts are entered? I will be using a stored proc which needs parameters to run the request so it would be good to be able to set the report to not run until it has parameters entered

How do you stop Mountain Lion from making endless copies and backups of everything?!

I already have a similar topic on this when I needed to figure out how to stop Mountain Lion from making endless copies of my text edit files and I was going to try the disabling of it that someone in that thread suggested, but I can't find where the Versions backups are being stored.
Anyway, tonight I cam across a new problem, when I went into "about this Mac" and looked at my Storage, I had almost 1gb of data in the "backups" section. I just happened to have Finder open when I went into the Time Machine in the status bar and when it entered Time Machine, I had dozens of copies of my desktop. Thing is, I don't have my Time Machine hard drive connected and I don't have a Time Capsule router/hard drive. And don't give me this garbage about how "It's not real backups, it's just a snapshot" or whatever, because the ONLY things that I have stored on my computer that I have altered since I got mountain lion is two Text Edit files and the Finder Desktop (and yes, I have checked almost all the programs I use, and of the things that Time Machine will open in, those are the only things that have backups listed that I can access) and almost 1gb is being taken up completely needlessly with the computer backing up things onto itself. Obviously these are more than just snapshots and are obviously the real files because after throwing EVERYTHING on my desktop into a file, that file is only 3.8mb in size, so that almost 1GB in backups is coming from SOMEWHERE.
The solution I aluded to in my first sentence also depends on going into the Terminal to make each individual app stop auto saving Versions, however, since my desktop is being backed up, there's no program to stop Mountain Lion from doing that.
Can anyone help me figure out how to make it stop backing up? Seriously, almost 1 gb is being totally wasted on a series of desktop items that are 3.8mb in size, one Text Edit file that is 250kb in size, and another text edit file that is 41kb in size. What person in Apple would possibly have thought this endless backing up of files onto the main hard drive would have been a good idea? So in a year if I did nothing but go on the internet, save one picture to one file on my desktop and did nothing else with my computer, would I have 200 gb of desktop backups that the computer saved onto itself? Are you kidding me? OR failing that, can anyone tell me how to find this damned backup file and delete it? I'm not an idiot, I know how to plug in a hard drive or flash drive and backup my information, I don't need my computer to be making hundreds of copies of every single file on my computer that I change slightly onto itself that not only needlessly eats up it's own space, but if the hard drive died, all those "backups" would be gone too because it wrote the backups to itself.
I am so frustrated by this totally ridiculous and wasteful "feature" they put in, it does nothing but waste hard drive space with it's hundreds of copies of everything you alter slightly. And I am absolutely not starting any video editing projects until I figure out how to turn this off. If around 4mb of total text and desktop backups add up to almost 1gb in a few weeks, what the heck is a video editing project going to end up in with size? Am I the only one completely flustered by this ridiculousness? Is there any point in writing into Apple to complain or are they just going to say "No, we're brilliant, we think this is an amazing feature so you just have to deal iwth it and when your hardd drive fills up, too bad, jerk!"?? Short of that, no I have been capable of making my own backups since I was 16 years old (16 years ago) I don't need my computer to endlessly do it for me in a way I am completely unable to shut off. That's what I have external hard drives, flash drives, a DVD burner, Drop Box, E-mail (as in emailing copies to myself) and icloud for. If I am doing something and I don't have access to a single one of those options, I don't know why I brought my computer with me in the first place. And I don't see how you can say it's an illusory gain in disk space, hundreds of copies of text documents, garageband files, Final Cut files, Motion Files and basically any program that makes files onto my comptuer that I can myself make incremental changes to, those all need to be stored somehow. Again, if you can explain to me how July 26 - Aug 16 is a week, I will agree with you that that is a good thing because IF it only saved for a week, it wouldn't be an issue. Sadly, no matter how many links you post, I still have text edit backups stretching from today back to July 26. They're not going away and I have no reason to beleive any other file I edit is going to go away either since they haven't been. Recently I installed iStat Menus and found that, over the course of this year, my Macbook's charging capacity has dropped 5%. I know this isn't a massive number, but battery performance has become a concern for me. I use my Macbook as a desktop replacement, on the main. It's sitting on a mStand, connected to a large monitor on my desk. I use my Macbook to play games, surf the internet, do work and all that good stuff - basically, I use it for everything. I rarely use the Macbook without it being plugged in. I read on the Apple website that they do not recommend leaving the Macbook on charge permanently and that I should use it on battery at least one a month. As I use my Macbook as a desktop replacement, I don't actually have a lot of opportunity to do this.
My question to you, the community, is: is there a way of stopping the battery from charging, either with the use of an app or a physical device? Ideally, I would love to have my power plugged in BUT only used when the battery drops below 10%. Is this possible with an app?
On the other hand, am I just worrying about nothing? Will my battery be damaged further if I leave the Macbook charging permanently?

The charging characteristics are handled in firmware. There is no app that would be able to do this. You actually would not want to do this anyway. Regularly discharging your battery to 10% will greatly decrease the life of your battery. While it is true that you should not use your system exclusively plugged in, allowing it to run on battery a few hours a week should be fine. Letting the battery regularly run down to (or below) 10% will cause you to use up cycles more quickly than is necessary (thereby reducing the life of your battery). It's really a only a matter of disconnecting your Magsafe connector once in a while.
Leaving it plugged in does not result in it being charged "permanently". It will charge until it is full and then charging will stop. It will only begin recharging when it reaches about 95%.

Can't figure out how to stop my MBP from opening programs at startup, namely word and messages

Recenty my MBPro has started opening MS Word and Messages at startup and I can't figure out how to stop it? I've tried selecting and de-selcting the startup option from the dock but this doesn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions?

System Preferences has a setting for this.
In the Users & Groups section you will fine a "Login Items" header. This is a list of all the programs that will open automatically when you log in. You can select any program and click the [--] button below that window to stop the program from opening automatically.

Can I stop Windows 7 from warning about security on every linked PDF?

I am working on a project for which I have created one central document (an index) and 120 linked documents. Each document, on every page, has links to the next alphabetical document and back to the central index. This project will be distributed on disc to people with unknown computer platforms.
I am a Mac user, and this works well on my iMac using Adobe Reader. It also works on my ancient Windows XP machine. A tech friend has looked the project over, and he says that on Windows 7 (used by more than half of computer users), every time a document links to a new document, Windows 7 throws up a warning about PDF security hazards. With a large number of documents to open, this could be tiresome.
Is there a way to stop Windows 7 from warning about security on every linked PDF?
This tech person recommends joining all the PDFs into one file (around 50 MB by his estimate), which would require relinking every current link.
Acrobat offers to do the same with its Portfolio, but I'm not fond of the graphic styles offered, and I worry that one large file might be a challenge for older machines.
Any suggestions?

Can you get a screen shot of this error message or at least the exact wording? I suspect the error message is being displayed by Reader/Acrobat and not Windows.

How do I stop the Finder from seeing SMB (Windows) shares on the network?

I have the OPPOSITE problem most people have -- Windows Sharing works TOO WELL.
I've donated a refurbished eMac to the local homeless shelter. I figured I'd made the system secure, and prevented any monkey business. Turns out the windows machines on the network are COMPLETELY insecure (guest access to everything is enabled). The problem is that the Mac is TOO friendly -- it automatically connects to the server as a guest, and happily presents everything to the user.
I've tried a dozen different things (I've removed the 'Shared' section from the sidebar in the Finder windows (Go->Network is still there, Doh.), tried to turn off File Sharing, and even disabled the mount_smbfs command in the /sbin directory with "chmod 0 mount_smbfs".)
I've asked the folks there to call in a PC tech and fix their security problem -- but it's a good question to which I've found no suitable answer... How to I stop the Mac from connecting to SMB Shares on the local network?

Same problem, keep getting a pop up with connection failed you do not have permission to access the server. The server is a windows 7 box, Starting happening after an up grade to windows 7. Nowhere can I find how to stop trying to connect. I am sure its at the unix level of samba but what to do is another question

How old was this backup? It sounds like it was at least several weeks old.
You can look directly in the TM backup for the music.
1. Connect to the external HDD the backup is kept on.
2. Open a Finder window and select the backup drive in the left hand panel. Double click into the folders until you see a list of folders with dates.
These are the incremental backups. You can start at the top or the bottom of the list but I suggest you double Latest/<HDD Name>/Users/<Account Name>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music. From this location you can start looking for the "missing" music. When/if you find it you can simply drag-n-drop to ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music on the internal HDD.
If the music is actually not in the backups (for whatever reason) then you've got a problem.
You can download the uploaded files from the cloud by deleting the affected tracks from the iTunes library (but not the cloud!), highlighting multiple tracks at once, right-clicking and choosing "download."
