Store Adobe Form in KM

Hi All,
In my development I have created the Adobe form when user click the button in View. Now I want to store the Adobe form(PDF) in the KM Folder. I would appreciate any suggestion how to take it forward.
Thanks and Regards,
Sabari

Hi,
Since you have the PDF file as a byte array in the context you can use standard KM API for uploading the file.
See this blog:

  • Form Services - Can business store completed forms internally, without these being uploaded to Adobe Servers?

    Hi,
    I am looking to find out more information about the Adobe services available for creating and storing Electronic Forms.
    Due to our company policies and procedures, we would like to try and store all information internally. Meaning Adobe will not be able to store any company information or data on their servers (Which I know is an option).
    I have the below queries and questions...
    - Is it possible to create & store Adobe forms internally?
    - If this service cannot be run from internally, is it possible to use Adobe Server Services to store only template versions of the forms, but store completed Forms internally? (Removing the security risk of company and personnel’s data leaving the business)
    I would be grateful for any useful advice or information anyone can provide on this.
    Many Thanks,
    James

  • Adobe Form Data Storage

    When a user fills up a PCR Adobe Form from the portal where does the data or information is stored?
    There should be a fundamental way that SAP stores Adobe form data. I want to understand how and where this data is placed in SAP prior to it updating the employee’s infotypes so I can retrieve it and report on SAP and non-SAP fields.
    Same concept as in interface: data is sent from a file to SAP to update the back end. The file is stored separately from the back end up date data so it can be referenced later for support or other requirements. Same for the Adobe form data – it needs to be maintained the same way for future reference and current reporting.

    Well take the case of adobe forms based on web dynpro technology. Here the data is stored in context which are bean like structures and can store and transfer data to any system.
    Thanks,
    Harish

  • How to store adobe Interactive form PDF in archive link?

    Hi everybody,
    I had create a WebDybpro Abap that contain an Adobe Interactive Form, now I must store this Interactive Form into Archive Link like a PDF document.
    I succeeded to save the PDF document on the archive link but after this operation, when I open this document saved, it doesn't show me the data but only the Interactive Form structure. The only data that file PDF saves are those I passed to Interactive Form during at the event initialization, but it lose all others datas that I inserted on the Interactive Form before to save.
    There is one mode to save also these datas or I can store only data that I load at the initialization event?
    I hope in your fast help.
    Regards.

  • Header and Footer in not displaying correctly on each page in Adobe Forms

    Hi experts,
       I need your little help on Adobe Form.  I have develop a customer account statement and facing problem.
         In header and footer part I have to display customer address. It is ok if data is of one page. But when data is overflowing, customer address is showing only at first page in header, and not displaying address neither in header nor in footer(footer section will print on last page, it may be either first page or third page ) on other pages. (Address is table type data )
           Header and footer Section address has been designed on Master Page.
    Please help me to resolve these two problems as soon as possible.
    Regards
    Piyush

    I found this post which I hope helps:
    This can be done by bit of tweaking using JavaScript.
    Actually the problem was, the header was printing continuously in subsequent pages and once the header data was over the rest of the pages contained blank header. But we need have to print same header for each group of items till that group of items finish in the specific page. And for new group of items different header will be filled and so on.
    So to overcome this issue, create the item table in such a way that the header data is also included in the item table for each group of items. In the layout, select your header field and the event READY LAYOUT and write the below JavaScript code. This event is called for each page for that header field, so you can directly map the item table value and put it in your header field.
    // Get the current page
    var currpage = xfa.layout.page(this);
    // variable to store number of fields in that page.
    var fields = 0;
    // Get the number of fields
            fields = xfa.layout.pageContent(currpage-1, "field", 0);
    // Loop on each field on the page
            for ( i=0; i<= fields.length-1; i++ )
    // Check if the field is in the item table column (it will be actually header data column in your item table)
                if ( fields.item(i).name == "TL" )
    // Fetch that value and store in your header field.
                           this.rawValue = fields.item(i).rawValue;

  • Adobe Forms function module - downloading the xstring output in PDF file

    Hi Guys,
    I'm using Adobe forms and fetching its output in an XSTRING PDF format. How can I download this XSTRING output to a PDF file and store on the local file system?
    I'm using the following approach to getting a PDF output:
    ls_outputparams-getpdf = 'X'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
      CHANGING
        ie_outputparams = ls_outputparams.
    * Get the name of the generated function module
      CALL FUNCTION 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
        EXPORTING
          i_name     = 'ZADOBEFORM'
        IMPORTING
          e_funcname = lv_fmname.
      IF sy-subrc <> 0.
      ELSE.
    *   Call the Adobe Form function module
        CALL FUNCTION lv_fmname
          EXPORTING
            /1bcdwb/docparams  = ls_docparams
          IMPORTING
            /1bcdwb/formoutput = ls_form_output
          EXCEPTIONS
            usage_error        = 1
            system_error       = 2
            internal_error     = 3.
        IF sy-subrc <> 0.
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.
    * Close the spool job
    CALL FUNCTION 'FP_JOB_CLOSE'.
    Now, the variable LS_FORM_OUTPUT-PDF contains the PDF output in XSTRING. My question is how can I download this as a PDF file to my local machine.
    Kind Regards,

  • How to use SAP Business Workflow along with Interactive Adobe Form

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on SAP Business Workflow since last couple of years.
    Now i have got a new Project where client wants to use SAP Business Workflow along with Interactive Adobe Form.
    I am new to Interactive Adobe Form and Portal thing and i really dont know from where to start.
    We have one central system and 2 local systems. when we do create a Material document using adobe form workflow should trigger and notification should go to group of users who can approve or reject it, once they approve it document gets created in central system and replicated to 2 local system through ALE.
    In the Local system they do extend the document to different plants, again workflow triggers and notification will go to Managers inbox for the approval.
    Once the final approval done data should go and store in SAP.
    Now here i have couple of Questions.
    1. In SAP R3 Business workflow when i execute the workitem from the inbox i do get the application screen ( i.e. MM01 MRP View ) , what is going to happen if the same case i have with Adobe form?? is it possible or do we have to design a adobe form and we will have to map the fields with backend application??
    2. Do i have to maintained 3 separate Org Structure for 3 different system or using UWL  i can manage the show
    3. Untill final submit is not done, where the application data is going to be, is there any kind of buffer that we will have to keep it or its there with XML file??
    Please help me out.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Manoj

    Hi Manoj,
    Welcome to ADOBE Forms related Workflow Development. Well, here are my answers.
    1) You can go for either go for ISR based development or WD development with Adobe form. In both the cases you can achieve your requirement. Yes, you will have to design the Adobe form and bind the fields to backend.
    2) Am not clear or your System landscape to advice you in these regards.
    3) Until final Submit/Approval is done, the data can be stored in WORKFLOW CONTAINERS or XML FORM(If you go for ISR based Development).
    Hope this helps.

  • Adobe form in OMLV (Module LE) leads to an error

    Hello,
    for the printing of pick labels I want to use the adobe form "/VSO/P_LABEL_PDF" and the print program "/VSO/P_RLVSDR40_PDF", but this combination leads to the error:
         Form /VSO/P_LABEL_PDF language EN is not active or
         is incorrect.
    But the form is active.
    Do you have an idea why it doesn't work?
    Is it possible to use Adobe forms in OMLV?
    Kind regards,
    Benjamin

    Andreas,
    A week, or so ago, there was some maintenance on the Jive end of things, and many were getting similar 404 errors. It was my understanding that those had been resolved, and that things were working fine.
    As several have been having issues with Adobe's own cookies (I had a big one with Adobe Store), I would also try cleaning your browser's cache, just to make sure that it's not something specific to your browser.
    As many of the "powers that be" monitor this forum, like the tireless John C./Adobe-Admin, I suspect that after the three-day weekend (for many in the US), that you will get definitive answers and advice. Look for those to come on about Tuesday.
    Good luck,

  • Adobe forms, non-interactive (HR)

    Hi,
    I'm trying to get in touch with SAP web applications (webdynpro, adobe form, bsp...).
    I have the following requirement:
    I have to provide a page within the sap enterprise portal to allow the employee to track his presence. In this page the employee has to check a presence/absence flag and in another page he can justify his absence with some reason.
    I didn't find a standard functionality to meet this requirement, so I think a new form has to be created.
    As additional requirement this form as to be stored as PDF document and it is not needed to store the information contained in the form in the sap backend system. The information contained in the form has to be stored in a non-sap system, so this information should be available as flat file to be imported in the non-sap system.
    I'd like to understand the possible scenarios from a technical point of view to create the required functionalities.
    ADOBE Interactive Form.
    This is a webdynpro (java or abap) that contains the adobe component. The fields of the adobe component are linked to the sap backend system and are editable. The adobe component reads some data from sap bakend system and stores the values filled by the employee via the adobe component in the backend system.
    ADOBE non-interactive Form
    A webdynpro (java or abap) or a BSP has to be built to create some values, then once the user save/submit the information a PDF document is created with the information created in the previous page.
    What is the difference between ADOBE (non-interactive) Form and ADOBE Interactive Form? The difference is that the first one is not editable? There is a big difference in terms of complexity develop an interactive or a non-interactive adobe form?
    BSP that generate the PDF as output?
    Could you please provide some input/defintion/sample to clarify this topic?
    Thanks in advance

  • How to change the Field Symbol, so Adobe Forms takes it as a Table?

    Hi guys,
    I created an Field Symbol, in a Interface which I use for Adobe Forms. The type of the Field Symbol is STANDARD TABLE, and this field symbol I fill with data from another program.
    But the problem is that in adobe forms, this Field Symbol is taken as TEXT FIELD and not as Table... and this shows me a Dump because it can't convert Internal Table to type C (the dump is like that).
    What I need, is how to change the Field Symbol, so Adobe Forms takes it as a Table?
    I looked at Adobe Form, and found this:
    The Type Category of the Field Symbol is DICTIONARY TYPE and I think I need to change it to Internal Table as shown in the right picture.
    Does someone have any idea?

    Hello Taly,
    To what i understand your requirement, you need to pass data from Field symbol to internal table in Adobe form.
    You have done it correct partially. I have replicated your scenario and steps are below -
    1) Create a Z structure
    2) Create Z Table Type
    3) Create Adobe Interface with Table & Field Symbol. Also do coding as shown to assign the internal table populated in driver program to filed symbol.
    4) Design Form as -
    5) Code driver as -

  • Convert Adobe Form (with data) to Microsoft Word Document

    Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Standard
    Windows XP Professional SP2
    Microsoft Word 2003 SP3
    I am attempting to convert an Adobe PDF Form (with data included) to a Microsoft Word document.
    When I use the menu to attempt this, I get a Word document containing only the form fields.
    I want to be able to grab all the text from the document, as these forms were used to fill in information for Job Descriptions, and I want to submit the text to job boards (without having to retype anything).
    What are my options for obtaining this information?

    Bill:
    Thank you for all of your help. I do not have the program in front of me, so I don't have a means of independently verifying this, until I go see the user tomorrow when he returns to the office ...
    Just to confirm, a fillable PDF is different from a standard PDF, as it stores the form fields in a special way, likewise, the data is stored in a special way. This is actually a quite useful feature, for compiling data, if you use the form multiple times.
    A standard export of a fillable PDF exports only the fields.
    To get the data, I would have to choose to save form data.
    To get the fields and the data, I have to print it using a PDF printer to create a new PDF document. Once I create this new PDF document, I can then export to Word as desired.
    If I want ONLY form fields: (one-step process)
    Export > Microsoft Word > %filename%.DOC
    If I want ONLY form data:(one-step process)
    File > Save FORM DATA > FDF file format > %filename%.FDF
    If I want both the form and the data: (two-step process)
    File > Print to PDF > Save as %filename%.PDF
    Open %filename%.PDF > Export > Word Document
    Is this the process? Pardon my confusion, but I am a newbie, and I do not have the program to test with.
    Thanks for your help, kind sir.

    It will be sent to the employee UWL through workflow for verification in read only form where he can add his comments in the comments box.Once he agrees with the objectives and submits the form it sits in the UWL of managers.
    After six months there will be revision of Objective Setting if required by manager and employee with same as above process.
    Objective Setting should be freezed after approval.
    At the end of the year, the final appraisal form is agreed with employees and manager an approval from manager should send to the next level line manager UWL using workflows.
    I have built the webdynpro application with an interactive adobe appraisal form , but how to trigger the Workflow from the adobe form and what are the steps i need to customize for the above process and store the appraisal form after the second line managers approval??
    Are these available in standard workflows provided by SAP? Or do I need customization?
    Please help.
    Thanks.
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
    Your requirement is achievable by configuring a HR Process by using the HCM Process and Process. Please refer to SAP course material HR 280 for an overview of the HCM process and forms.

  • Saving Adobe forms in R/3

    Hi All,
      We are using ISR scenarios (Eg: Personal change request of MSS package) where we have used adobe forms. Manager generates a new form whcih goes to HR co-ordinator as a workitem. But we need to save these forms in R/3 also. because in future, user may want to see that form.
      So where this form gets saved?
    Thanks,
    Seema

    Dear Seema,
    AFAIK it is not recommended to store document files directly in SAP production server.
    Saving files for being retrieved at any time by users therefore requires consultation with your BASIS for security and storage issue since this is no longer development private issue.
    Available options are :
    1. saving to remote directory via network file system ( ie mount via NFS or else )
    2. saving the file using time pattern in its name to designated directory with a time limit
    3. upload the file to FTP server
